Rename scheduler afterwards

Hello everyone,
I am wondering about how to change the name of a scheduler once it was already set up after the installation.
I tried to change it in the configuration file init<global_database_name>.jcs but this is not enough: there are still some references on the old name in the repository. We can see that in the DB view rs_schedulers.
Is there a way to do that ?

Hi All,
I just want to let you know that renaming a scheduler is possible with the following instructions:
- export the scheduler
- shutdown the scheduler
- delete the scheduler
- recreate the scheduler with the new name (by importating the export file to keep the old parameters)
You have to reaffect the queue to this scheduler.

    GO to se03.
    in that you can see , search for objects in request /tasks.
    click that ,
    in the object selection screen
    in R3TR / FUGR  - 'Give that function group name'.
    you can get all the request , where that function group exists.
    Note down the requests.
    Then, go back in se03 itself.
    There u can see 'unlock objects'.
    give the transport numbers in that. It will unlock the function module.

  • RSPC Variant does not exist - Could not find or load print parameters

    We are on BI 7.0 (support pack SAPKW70017).  We recently freshed test system from production.   After the refresh, we have problems opening all the process chains.  
    1. When I go to RSPC to open a process chain, I get many messages like this:
    Variant &0000000067180 does not exist (there are different variant numbers)
    Message no. DB612
    Diagnosis
    You selected variant &0000000067180 for program RSPROCESS.
    This variant does not exist.
    2. When I go to SM21 to check the system log, it displays many entries like below:
    EJ  F Could not find or load print parameters for step 1, job BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER/09134500
    Documentation for system log message EJ F :                                                                               
    An error occurred during loading of the print parameters for a        
    background job step.                                                  
    The print parameter record may have been deleted even though there was
    a still a step that needed that data. This is an error as the         
    reorganization of the print parameters should prevent this from       
    happening.                                                            
    To fix the problem, edit the step and save it, copy the job, or       
    schedule a new job. The print parameters will be regenerated in all   
    these cases.    
    3. I applied the OSS note 1169659 - Correction: Process variants not entered by BDLS.   The Basis rerun BDLS.  But it did not fix the problem.

    1) Please verify if exist process types called 'unknown job'. If exist:  delete process types called 'unknown job' in your process chain. To do that please remove the chain from scheduling (menu bar > process chain > remove from schedule), afterwards switch the detail view on (menu bar >  view) > right mouse click on the process type "unknown job" > displaying scheduled jobs > delete that job. After deletion of the 'unknown jobs' activate and schedule your process chain again.
    2) After the removal of the 'unknown jobs' please check if the error messages with the missing variants pop up when calling your process chain disappears. If not, please implement and execute the attached report Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT which deletes the jobs without variants.
    I have already attached report as Report Z_FIND_JOBS_WITHOUT_VARIANT, you can download and create the report accordingly.

  • The comma in a file name

    When importing images and changing the file name, or just changing the file name in metadata i find that if I try to use the comma key, lightroom will just replace it with a dash (-), so February 22, 2007 becomes February 22- 2007. This happening to anyone else? I'm using the 30 day trail that i downloaded off the website.

    I noticed this too, in XP Pro. I wondered if there is some problem with commas in Mac software and this 'fix' was being passed onto Windows users?
    I have to resort to renaming files afterwards when this happens. Fortunately, I use an excellent piece of freeware software, Lupas Rename (search Google). It's not the prettiest of interfaces but does a comprehensive job with left crop, right crop, autonumber, text replace, etc. It can do an entire folder in one go.
    Any chance of Adobe removing this annoyance in an update? I honestly don;t see what the problem is with a comma, at least give us an option of 'Do nothing'.

  • File naming after capturing video from a firewire camera

    Quicktime by default saves my files in a specified folder and names them movie1, movie2, movie3, etc... How can I use a name that is different for each video?. I do about 300 at a time and don't have much time between video captures. Is there anyway to save a quicktime file with the specified names first and the capture the video and have it keep that name?

    Free software: FileRenamer for mac. Renames files at about the rate of 2000 a second. Rename then afterwards in no time.

  • PSE 8.0 Will Not Open (Including Editor and Organizer)

    I have been using PSE 8.0 for three or four years now, and I have never experienced any problems with it. Today, after installed a Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet, my PSE 8.0 would not open-- nor would Editor and Organizer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, renaming certain files (as read in other answers), creating shortcuts to bypass the Welcome Screen (which also will not appear), among other solutions that I read about for similar problems. Whenever I attempt to open Organizer, a crash report appears, stating that the program has quit unexpectedly--that's all it says. If I try to open PSE 8 or Editor, the circle next to my cursor appears for a moment, but soon it disappears without a single pop-up or explanation as to why the program won't open. Since I cannot access the Welcome Screen, I cannot locate the Preference file to change the name/delete it.  If it matters, I use Windows 7.
    Any and all help is appreciated. I'm going a bit insane without my lovely Photoshop to doodle in. ;n;

    EDIT: I found the Preferences within the PSE folder, and I renamed it; afterwards, I tried to open PSE again. It reset the Preferences, yet it is still telling me that PSE has unexpectedly quit. /EDIT
    I went into the PSE folder and attempted the "three finger salute" while clicking on Organizer, but all it brought up were the Organizer Properties.
    Also, within the past hour, PSE has been randomly popping multiple times up to inform me that it unexpectedly quit, yet I have not tried to open it recently. I am not sure if that is important or not.

    Hi Michael,
    the name of my function pool isn´t /FIS/OSS_TD_FUGRL_LCL but /FIS/OSS_TD_FUGR.
    I created it by forward navigating from the default includes given and renaming it afterwards to clarify the name. (I think, that was a bad idea)
    The problem is kinda solved now, because I deleted the Include and replaced it with an Include created by forward navigation without renaming it.

  • DSC Question

    At the moment i have a deployment system whereby:
    - Virtual machines are created by various means.
    - A 'post installation' powershell script is executed by the answer file at the final stages of install.
    - This script is used to do things like set-up IP addressing, host name, install software packages, anything we need.
    I have been looking into DSC and i was wondering if it were possible to use it for these final stage 'state configurations'.
    My only issues are:
    - I cannot configure WinRM past the default config on these machines.
    - I don't actually want to use the consistency feature of DSC, i just want to use it for one-time config. I want the config to be able to drift over time. I appreciate this is not quite the use which DSC was designed for.
    Is it feasible to setup DSC in pull only mode, let it perform a state configuration and then effectively remove\disable any trace of DSC?

    You'd be better off using a Push rather than a Pull, in the scenario you've described.  You can set the LCM to ApplyOnly mode, which will apply the configuration you push, but then will not bother to re-check the system on a schedule afterwards.
    As to whether using DSC this way adds any value over just using your existing scripts, that's a harder question to answer.
    Possible pros:  DSC resources will eventually get more use and scrutiny by the community, possibly more reliable code.  Automatic logging into the event log which you can archive and/or review later to see what happened.  Simpler code for
    you to write; the configuration itself doesn't show all the complexity of the resources themselves.
    Cons:  Many DSC resources currently available have problems, and may not be ready for prime time yet.  You'd have to re-implement all of your scripts as DSC configurations, possibly even having to write some custom DSC resources if the existing
    set doesn't quite meet your needs yet.  Basically, time investment (and possible introduction of bugs that aren't in your scripts today.)

  • Oracle corrupted files

    Hi,
    I have questions about recreating Oracle users/Oracle database and corrupted data files.
    Let me explain. I use Oracle 10.2.0.5.0 server and had problem with a few corrupted data blocks. With DBMS_REPAIR package I manage to isolate those blocks and to continue with normally work. But I wonder if I take backup of this database and create dump file (I will use traditional exp Oracle tool to accomplish this) , drop Oracle users, recreate them and then import earlier mentioned dump file will database files still contain those bad sectors? Or is better for me to recreate whole database?

    It depends on if all of these blocks are re-used and re-formatted by importing the data. Otherwise you still have corrupted blocks, but in the free space area where they do not harm the operation (except RMAN backups with corruption checks and other verifications like dbv).
    The "full-safe" way would be to drop the tablespace (including data files), create the same tablespace again, re-create the users and import the dump or use DBMS_REDEFINITION to reorganize (online) all objects from one tablespace into another one and rename it afterwards.

  • Mac Mail Signatures Changing between them

    On my mac book pro in Mac Mail when i change from one signature to another, it doesn't delete the previous signature so i end up with 2 in an email - how do i fix this?

    I had the same issue, fixed it by creating a new signature and deleted the old one. Just copy and paste the content into a new signature and rename it afterwards. Hope that works for you too.

  • Save for web not overwriting original files in cs6

    It doesn't always happen but when I use save for web to save an image it goes through all the motions as normal but when I go to view the image, I find that it hasn't overwritten the original file. Has anyone else experienced this, it has happened to other people in the studio too so it might be something to do with our setup?

    Are you on a mac? If you have a finder window open of the file you are trying to overwrite (or the file is open somewhere else), and it is selected in that window with the preview showing, Save For Web does not overwrite it as it's technically "In Use". Either close the window or deselect the item. This seems to happen to me more when the file is on a server but can also happen on the local disk. I am now in the habit of saving as filename_1 and then renaming them afterwards.
    I would imagine you would get a similar story on a Windows machine but I have no way of testing this.

    I have done a lab to test the priority queue in Nexus 5548. Every thing looks fine except  the scenario on which I added bandwidth command to limit the priority queue BW in case of congestion.
    During this tests I realized that my queue continue working as a priority queue even exceeding the allowed BW.
    I dont know if this is the default behavior of nexus 5k or something is going wrong

    Priority queue level 1 is served first, at strict priority, until the queue is empty or the BW limitation imposed by policing is reached.
    PQ level 2 is scheduled after priority level 1, until the queue is empty or the BW limitation imposed by policing is reached.
    BW classes are scheduled afterwards.
    If there is less traffic to be sent in PQ1 nor PQ2 than the configured policer limit, other classes can take up the BW allocated to PQ1 and PQ2. 'bandwidth [percent]' command defines the guaranteed minimum BW for the class, it does not impose the maximum BW.

  • DVD genius anyone?

    I just have no idea how to put subtitles to my created DVD. I've converted a DivX movie with Toast to a DVD. It contains a VIDEO_TS folder and an AUDIO_TS folder. I've downloaded the subtitles for this particular movie, which is a .srt.
    Now I know how to make the subtitles appear on the DivX movie. You just have to rename the .srt exactly like the name of the movie, with a .srt at the end and put it in the same folder as the actual movie.
    But how do I do this for a DVD? Someone told me that first I had to convert the .srt into a .ssa. How do I rename it afterwards and where should I put it?

    as for the rest of your probs the best thing is to try as much as poss to fix it..
    i used my imac as a startup disc for my macbook to see it it was the imac or the disc (hardware/software) also tried to boot the macbook disc on the imac to see if i could fix/recreate the problem so that i knew exactly where the prob was..(to do this i used a firewire cable and booted the imac/ macbook holding the "t" key down this puts that comp as just a disc whats called TARGET MODE.. you can then hold the "alt" key down while booting the other mac up and the target disc will or should show as a bootable disc)
    if you had no problems before the firmware update and cant find a way to fix it i would go back.. the thing is you will have to watch for updates later as being on older firmware may conflict with them.. talk to apple they will ask you to reset power management, disc repair, permissions repair, zap the pram, do an archive install... then maybe something else but what im not sure what that would be

  • Exchanging a HD with a new (bigger) one

    I have recently exchanged a HD for my iTunes Library with a bigger one. I copied all the files on the new HD and renamed it afterwards with the name of the old one. iTunes had no problems with it. But Time Machine did not recognize the exchange, i.e. it considered all files on the new HD as changed since the creation dates changed. So TM tried to backup the new HD in full length w/o freeing the Backup for the old HD and the TM Hard Disk run out of space. Idid not find another possibility to get out of this problem then to reinitialize the TM HD and start a new backup from scratch.
    Now I want to exchange another external HD with a bigger one and wonder if there might not be a better strategy to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I see no easy way to do this, Time Machine uses fseventd to keep track of changed files, and fseventd stores informations in the /.fseventd directory, but I suspect it keeps track of inode numbers, not file path. In that case, the only solution would be to copy he files at the exact same location in the file system, which is not an easy task, and fseventd won't be able to guaranty that it is dealing with the same set of files.
    I think the best thing to do is not to copy files from old disk to new disk, but recover them from time machine backup. I think this way they will not be considered as new for the next backup, and you keep history.

  • Automatically incremental updates/reindexing?

    Hello all,
    is it possible to configure incremental updates which start automatically? In my opinion it is far too much trouble if the administrator has to start this always manually...
    I need this function for new, changed and deleted documents (I want to search these).

    Hi Susanne,
    you can define a crawler schedule on the index to run daily, weekly or monthly. This is done when you create the index initially, but you can modify the schedule afterwards in the Index Administration iview.
    Whether it is an incremental update or otherwise depends on the crawler parameters that you use.

    You need to configure the following crawler parameters:                                         
    "Verify Modification Using Checksum"
