Thanks, that makes sense. If I do a search in IPhoto I find it. I have 6 grand children and also have had my camera for quite awhile and it starts file names over again after 10,000 pictures. (I don't have all these on the computer) but now I have some files with the same name ie img_4 and img_4

Usually Acrobat has linked to PhotoShop to do the photo editing. You might check the updates for Acrobat and PhotoShop.

I have upgrade ios 6 to ios7 on my iphone 5. I do NOT like it at all. I want to come back to the previous version. why is it so complicated? Why can I not find the instruction strait from apple? A barcode scanner that was connected directly to the Mac's USB port stopped working as the "USB had too much power drawn", even though it has worked for over a year in that port. When we plugged it into the port on the keyboard, the device works. Why? Obviously the device is operational. Could the USB port have burned out from having too much power drawn? If so, is it reparable?
It can't draw "too much" power, it can only draw as much as the USB port is able to provide and no more. IIRC, the keyboard port has a lower power output than the iMac's port.
That being said, yea, it's possible that the port has failed and it can be replaced or if another port works you can use that one. Although if it is still under warranty or covered by Apple Care, then I would take it to an Apple Store or service provider to get the port repaired. -
I have an iMac(mid2010) running Pages v5.5.1 on OS X 10.10. Why can I not save or share documents. The error message is You can’t save the file “TEST.pages” because the volume is read only.
I get the same message when using Numbers so I presume it is a OS problemSome of your user files (not system files) have incorrect permissions or are locked. This procedure will unlock those files and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (triple-click, copy, and paste):
sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:

Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button

Lens Data- Why Can I Not Find It?
I use a Mac and ran the trial version of Aperture and liked it but it did not run very smoothly so I have purchased LR3. The features and utilities are about the same with one exception, Aperture automatically gives you lens name along with all the other EXIF photo data (aperture, zoom, etc...). Lightroom gives me aperture, zoom, ISO and shutter, just like Aperture but will not tell me the lens make and model. Am I missing something? I looked at that lens profiler program but didnt understand why I need it (and looking at the instructions with a checkerboard and other extra steps seemed unnecessary). If the camera records the lens along with the other pertinent information automatically (it must as Aperture picked it right up), why can I not find it?
I use a Pentax *ist DS and have a few different lenses. Some are older manual focus and a few are auto focus ones. The camera body reads the autofocus ones and whenever the photos were loaded up into Aperture, it gave the usual EXIF shot data as well as which lens was being used (whenever the autofocus ones were attached). Im hoping that LR3 can do the same thing without having to load up a separate plug in program in order to do it. I figured if the camera does it and Aperture picks it up, LR3 should too, right?

When I rent a movie from itunes library on my desktop it is not showing up under rented on my Apple tv? This has not happened before?. Can I rent or buy directly from Apple TV? I hope someone can answer this silly question.

You can purchase or rent it direct from the Apple TV or from the computer. If you rent/purchase from the computer, it must fully download to the computer before it will show up under computers > rentals on the TV. -
i followed the instructions for syncing photos to my computer from my iphone. I now want to sync photos from my computer back into my iphone. The pc i am using shows that i selected a folder. It contained 154 photos. The little screen said transfering.... then completed. after this the itunes show 154 photos in the phone but none show in the camera app. I looked in the general, settings and it also says 154 photos live in my phone but none are visible. Why?
Did you check the Photos app, in the Photo Library album?

Why can't I find NFL Game Pass in the App Store?
I live in Hong Kong and just purchased a subscription to NFL Game Pass. It says I need to download the app from the App Store in order to watch the games on my iPhone 4, but when I search the App store I can not find it. I've searched for it several ways: "NFL Game Pass", "Game Pass" and just "NFL"
Any ideas why this isn't working or how I can get the app?

Why can I not get my windows to fit the screen
I am not sure what happened today, but in Safari the window does not fit the screen on my Mac Book Pro, even when you click the green + button. What should I do to rectify. I have done a full Shutdown, and still the same.
One other thing that might be handy:
You can set the default Safari window size as follows. Open a new window (command-n). Resize. Close window. Subsequent windows should open at that same size.

Why can I not find the primary video setting in Bios so I can change it from integrated to PCIE?
I have purchased a new video card to add to my computer which has integrated graphics. When I installed the card I got a blank screen so I removed the card and restarted the computer and entered BIOS in an attempt to change it from integrated to PCIE the problem is I cannot find the option to make the change. I can select advanced chipset but there is no primary video option to select and as far as I can tell there is no option to switch it from integrated to PCIE.... I researched this heavily and am now resorting to this as I cannot find a way to get the video card to work. I have posted the options I have in my system's Bios below.
