O.K. Everything seems to be in order now!
I don't know what happened but this is the results....
After attempting to edit change the information on my iTunesMS account at least 7 times, I posted the above question, logged out of iTunes, closed down all my apps and turned off my computer.
A few hours later, I thought I would give it one more try and when I turned on iTunes, went to the Music Store and then 'reviewed' my account... it had my old American address on it with the country listed as Sweden... I just left it alone, as it didn't have my credit card info listed at all... Curiously, I'm clueless about that (though I did send this same complaint to Apple during the first posting... did that have anything to do with it?) When I clicked the continue button (without changing any info) it prompted me that I was finished setting up my iTunes Music Store account and I was immediately able to download some songs....(using the iTunes Music card--- I have not tried my MasterCard!)
So basically, I did nothing except close iTunes, turn off my computer and later rebooted it and opened iTunes! Strange... does that seem like a fix or what?

What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

HT1918 Why can i not now update apps which I have already paid for because my credit card was declined?

My credit card was rejected but now I can't even use the apps I have already paid for. *** iTunes! I can't delete the card and use another payment method can't do anything. Is there a way around this? Or just another case of apple rear ending us hard?

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it will need to be valid. If you don't have a card to replace it with then have you tried removing it from your account ? On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.

I set up my apple id so that i could download music from itunes, but when i try to buy a song, I get a message that says this account has not been used yet. I go through and review info, but still cannot buy the music and this keeps happening. What have I done wrong?

You set up email accounts on the iPad in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account. You have a choice of some of the most popular email providers in the setup list or you can select Other at the bottom.
Tap on the provider that is applicable and begin the setup on the iPad.

Why can I not remove music and why are my purchased songs being duplicated each time I sync??

So I'm not sure if this is unique but I have a couple of things going on.
1st issue: I have a iphone 4s. Itunes on my desktop. Some music purchased from the desktop is on my iphone and I cannot remove it. I've checked "manually manage music". I've selected only the playlists I want. It will not delete the purchased music.
2nd issue: Each time I sync it pulls only the purchased music from my iphone and adds it to my music library. And each time it does that, it's adding another copy of the purchased songs into my music folder. I tried a variety of options, synced 7 times, and ended up with 7 copies of each purchased song. I've triedso many different things I'm thinking the only thing left is to do a reset. Or possibly reinstalling itunes completely. I've unchecked "copy files to itunes media folder when adding to library" and unchecked each of the songs from the library.Very frustrating!
Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

Unchecking the individual songs from the iTunes music library does indeed remove the songs from my iPhone. However, this is quite tedious given the number of albums I want to remove. Isn't this supposed to be easier done by "unchecking" the Genre or the specific Album using the Devices/My iPhone/Music tab?
Does this work for you (or anyone else)? My aim is to identify the most efficient method of doing this.

Mikey, the question on how to purchase from another country's store is literally asked & answered dozens of time per week in these forums. To repeat, you must have a credit card with a billing address from the country's store you wish to purchase. These rules are required by the record companies & other copyright holders who do not care for cross-border sales.
Just a suggestion since you are a new poster, you might want to use the "search" option in the upper right corner to see if your question has been asked & answered previously. That way you won't have to wait around for someone to come along with an answer for you.

- Restore the new iPod from that backup. You will have to reeenter passwords since they only get restored to same device.

Hopefully someone can help as I'm getting a tad frustrated I have been for the last 2.5hrs trying to get a rental movie I have downloaded on to my computer to sync with my Ipad2 and its simply wont do it what could be wrong?
I have so far
restarted both computer and rebooted ipad.
both softwares are up to date on ipad and on PC
I have checked the restrictions and there doesnt appear to be any that I can see in the menu although saying that the movie selection can not even be highlighted in that menu.
I have checked in the about and although itunes syncs the movie and it shows up in the bar below as the movie taking up space..in the about in the general part of settings it refreshed but still states 0 so itunes on the PC says its on the ipad but the ipad is saying it is not on the ipad....
I'm going away on holiday next week and I was hoping to take a few rentals with me....I downloaded this one to test it out and see how well it worked so far its been frustraingly useless....im glad I never downloaded 30bux worth of movies.

I need to install 3.1 before I can install 3.2 and I need 3.0 before I can install 3.1, but 3.0 is only on the Snow Leopard DVD, which I don't have...
I am running 10.7 and I cannot download the Windows Support Software, (with the same error that many other people have) so I have tried without it.
What is going on?

You lost the disk that has BootCamp 3.0 on it, and you can't download it, so you will have to obtain a copy.
You can buy a retail copy ($29 US), contact Apple for a replacement for the disk you lost ($16 US) or find the disk you lost.
There is no other alternative.

Doesn't iTunes India have the options to buy music and movies. I just get the apps, podcasts and iTunes U as the options. what am I missing???

The question has been asked and answered many times in these forums, but again, Apple has not been able to obtain the rights to sell music and movies in India. When, or indeed if, they will ever be able to do so, none of us here can know.

FYI I had to put this link into firefox to reply - because **** back safari just wouldn't register my clicks to any of the links on the post... Despite reloadeing and even restarting my computer. Totally annoying and a massive pain in the ***.
But in terms of my initial query; thanks for responding. But no, this is NOT the cause of the problem. I have auto sync and sync over wifi activated, but have also selected manually manage music and videos. Plus, all of my music and videos are on my macbook, absolutely all of it, so if it my phone was syncing with my macbook everything would still be on the phone. Life would be peachy if my phone jsut copied everything that was on my macbook, but unfortuantely it keeps deleting tracks for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts greatly welcomed, because at the moment i can only conclude that my iphone is crap.

why can I not order music from either germany or austria if the canadian itunes does not have it?
I don't mind paying in euros or paypal, which ever.
I think the stores should be compatable or should allow buying from another country.

The short answer is that the content owners do not allow Apple to sell content across country borders. It's not by Apple's choice.
