Renderer in style module?

I load a style module at runtime to give me all the skins and other associated styling I need for my App.
Now I'm writing a list component.
I know that there is a list skin which I can get from my style module, but what about the list renderer?
Is there a way to compile the renderer into a style module like the skins are (i.e. rendererClass: ClassReference(""))?
Or, do I have to write a common renderer which gets all it's styling values from CSS?

You can add renderers to a style module, but you'll need to wire it up the
the List's itemRenderer property by calling getStyle() and assigning to
itemRenderer.

  • Step style modulation in logic?

    hey all, here's the situation:
    having recently been fiddling with the ableton live demo, i've realized one thing i've been missing in logic; step input automation/modulation, or quantized automation basically.
    see in ableton, the track automation is input in bars according to the chosen note length of the grid, so in order to draw freely, you must turn the grid off.
    In logic, the automation is always linear, with points.
    I'm looking for a way to get that quantized step-like automation like in ableton, or like in kontakt's step modulation effect. the closest thing i have found is to use the modulation channel in the hyper editor, and to assign some parameter to the mod wheel. This only provides one parameter to automate this way though.
    Is there a way to have more modulation channels in the hyper editor? It seems perfectly suited to it.
    This would truly make my day.
    thanks ya'll,
    Rob

    Robert Roff, "step style modulation in logic?" #8, 12:56am Sep 26, 2005 CDT
    i've not yet found where i can control-click a parameter to find the control number,
    I said control+double-click.
    Do it on the parameter name in the tracklist when track automation is enabled.
    and putting the event editor on channel 2 didn't seem to have an effect on my inability to automate thus far in the hyper editor.
    The event definition you need to create is a 'fader' event, not a 'control' event.
    Try this:
    Load ES1 in an AudioInstrument Object.
    Enable Track Automation.
    Select cutoff as the automation parameter.
    Control+double-click on the paramater name in the tracklist (you should see a numerical entry box pop up with the number 10 in it.)
    Create a MIDI region in the track. Insert some notes to play.
    Open Hyper Edit and do: 'create hyper set'
    This new set will be called 'MIDI Control' but you can change it's name.
    There will already be a 'Volume' event definition in the new set. You can either modify that, or create a new event definition.
    Let's just modify the volume event def.
    Double-click the word 'volume' and rename it 'cutoff'
    Set the 'status' parameter to 'fader'
    Set the -1- parameter to 10 (which we discovered earlier)
    Set the 'cha' parameter to 2 and check the 'cha' checkbox.
    Draw some automation.
    Hit play.
    You should now hear the cutoff being automated.

  • Unable to load style(SWF is not a loadable module)

    While devoloping an App voor iOS we decided to use several StyleSheets.
    We are implementing the loading of Stylesheets as:
    event_dispatcher:IEventDispatcher = this.styleManager.loadStyleDeclarations2("assests/styles/default.swf");
     event_dispatcher.addEventListener(StyleEvent.COMPLETE, OnStyleLoaded);
    event_dispatcher.addEventListener(StyleEvent.ERROR, OnStyleError);
    running the app on the desktop simulators work fine.
    packaging the app with package method fast, and running the app on an iphone4 works fine.
    packaging the app with package method standaard, and running the app on an iphone4 gives an error:
    Unable to load style(SWF is not a loadable module): assets/styles/default.swf.
    Is there something im missing? Why does it work when packaging as Fast, and not as Standard?

    Hi,
            The source file is .swf ie(.css is converted to .swf).
             Main swf is running from local.
             Style module is from server.
    I set security domain. But it throws security sanbox violation.
    What should i do. Even some time if a use the local url means it thorws the same error Unable to load style(SWF is not a loadable module).
    thanks,

  • Images and styles not showing in Design view on CS3

    Hi all,
    I am playing around with a CSS website template that I downloaded and
    opened in DW-CS3. I am just using this to learn and play around with. It
    came with the style sheet, jpg images etc.
    I just noticed that when in Design view for the index page, that the images
    and styles, menus are not displaying, only the html text is visible in Design view.
    When I preview the site with a browser like IE or FF, it displays fine along with
    any changes I have made.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Regards,
    dano

  • 'Space after' style not applying to text in 'preview in browser' (chrome) or export modes.

    Hi all,
    I seem to run into this issue everytime I have two paragraph style applied within one text container.
    If I include a heading and apply a paragraph style which includes 'space after' and then some text below with another style it does not appear in either 'preview in browser' (Chrome) or in the exported html. The text appears butted up against each other. Please keep in mind there are no other paragraph or character styles applied to this container.
    It works if I 'unlink style from selection'.
    However this is extremely frustrating when you have a text heavy site with multiple paragraph styles - it effectively renders paragraph styles useless and generates excessive CSS code and a very time-consuming process if I need to go back and alter the paragraph styles.
    Does anyone else experience this issue? Can anyone shed some light on this?
    I need to get this site through to my client ASAP and would rather have a professional CSS file rather than one full of work-arounds.
    Adobe, please respond ASAP.
    Kind regards,
    Adam

    For two separate paragraph styles to work in one text container in muse,
    you need to use a hard return.
    You would use Character Styles if you want to use two specific styles inside one text container
    with just a "en space" between the text.
    This is based on using Muse generated CSS and not going into the CSS files after Muse generated the code and altering to modify the look.

  • Module not unloading if embedded font was ever used

    So, I have a test app that uses modules with the font embeded. Using ModuleManager I am able to load up the module. Once I call   IModuleInfo.factory.create(), I am then able to setStyle("fontFamily", "BPDiet") and the font does show up. The issue I am now having is that once I have used a font from a module, even if my TextArea is no longer using it (I even tried removing the textArea, and replacing it with a new one), the module will not unload.
    I read through this "What We Know About Unloading Modules" and I think I am not leaving any references around.They are loaded using the load() defaults. There is no code (that is used) in the module. The modules are not being added to the display, so they never receive focus.
    Note that I am unable to run the profiler as suggested in the article as I don't have the premium Flash Builder 4. <grrr>
    Note that the first module that is loaded, I can never get to unload, even if I never used the font embedded in it, but all subsequent modules will unload, if I do not use the embedded font. I can live with the first one being pinned as long as I can unload the others that are not in use.
    Here is the code from one of my modules:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Module xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
               xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"

                    return SampleTextArea;

            <s:TextArea id="sampleTextArea" fontFamily="{fontNameForSample}" text="Some Sample text for your viewing"/>
        </s:VGroup>
    </s:Application>
    A couple things to note; I am calling System.rc() in the unloadCurrentFont() method just to speed up seeing the SWF unload in the debug console. The DoNonImportantWork() is there to just cause some events to happen and to create some objects that will need to be GC'ed. It also let me know that the fonts are not getting registered in Font.
    I'm going to have 30 fonts (and more, that designer is busy) that I will need to be able to dynamically load, but right now, loading them with CSS style modules blows up after about 15 because style modules register the font so I cannot unload the CSS swf.

    To help eliminate the question of whether the TextArea is being held by something else, I have removed it from the MXML, and now programatically create it. That did not help.
    So, I got the trial version of Flash Builder 4 installed on another machine in the office so that I can use the profiler. (The profiler is pretty cool by the way).
    After a lot of profiing, I found four paths to the module's FlexModuleFactory.
    Two of those paths go to EmbeddedFontRegistry, whose data is static. I could get into it and remove font entry and free up the moduleFactory from there. This is a hack, that entry in/on EmbeddedFontRegistry.font should have been cleaned up by the code removing the fontFamily from the TextArea. (Note that EmbeddedFontRegistry is marked [ExcludeClass], which I assume means I should not really be messing with it.
    The other two I cannot get to as they are anonymous. They also don't appear to be referenced, as the Object References shows them both as GC root objects. Here is a screen shot:
    I did a search through the sdk code and 'fbs' only shows up as a parameter on the init function of various Marshal support classes, but is not used in the init()
    Anyway, these references to the FlexModuleFactory do not get held if I do not use the embeded font in the module.
    Here is the updated code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
                   xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"

  • What do I have to do to get WebHelp browser styles to match RH's style sheet?

    What do I have to do to get WebHelp browser styles to match RH's style sheet?
    In the PDF rendering, the styles conform to the .css styles, but the generated WebHelp in the browsers (Firefox and IE) does not.
    I've check all the generated project's topic folders for the correct .css, and they're there. I also put a copy of the .css in the project's root folder as someone suggested, but that doesn't work.
    I'm using RH 10, and I'm certainly no expert at it or HTML. Forgive me if I've done something stupid or not done something I should have.
    Thanks.
    B.

    Willam,
    No. Every style but on in the style sheet that I created is mapped correctly to the project. All style settings except margins and font appear correctly in the webHelp. Also, if generated as a PDF or as .chm help, ALL styles render correctly. They just don't appear correctly for WebHelp (haven't tried any of the other HTML-realated project formats.)
    This appears to be a problem with the default font, which apparently cannot be changed in RH.
    Unless there's some sort of work-around, it appears that my problem is that I didn't map the source FrameMaker "normal" font to a font style OTHER THAN the default style, and under a different name, when I imported the FM file. I made the unwarranted assumptions that the RH default font would be whatever was the default font in FM, and if it wasn't, I could change it.
    I've looked all over the "communities" and Adobe help, but I can't find anywhere where the default font can be changed after a project is created.
    Thanks for keeping with me on this.

  • Style edits show up on web, but not on workspace

    I'm new to Dreamweaver and have had some trouble that seems
    to have developed fairly recently. When I first started I could
    change the font sizes, colors and apply styles fine ... but now any
    changes don't appear in my workspace. However, it seems they do
    appear once that page is uploaded to the web. Part of my confusion
    is I'm not sure exactly what to ask ... help?

  • Design mode without style on screen

    Testing (too) many functions into Dreamweaver 8, I now get
    only a basic view on screen under DESIGN mode : images are here but
    with basic font texts on a white page. Though when I view the pages
    on the browsers, everything appears correctly.
    Certainly, I have messed something with CSS and styles (I'm a
    newbie) because on the right panel, there is only CSS styles
    written (message "no CSS properties.....") but I didn't still work
    with CSS.
    How to get back to the normal Design mode view ?
    Thanks

  • Regd Style Sheets in Portal

    Hi,
    I am trying to change the Style of my Portal pages.I found that procedure named wwpob_app_style.render_css renders the style sheet for a page.Is there any way to tell my portal page to use my own style sheet.(like we give a css in HTML files)
    and one more thing i want to know is where all the HTML classes are stored.is that stored in the database or in any css file in the server.

    Rajesh Kanna.V

    Hi Rajesh/Pernille,
    You can use your own stylesheets for a page by using user interface templates. Create a unstructured user interface template that
    uses your own stylesheet (by using the <LINK> tag in your head or by directly using the <STYLE> tag - see code snippet given below)
    and use this template for your page. The following code snippet for a UI Template uses a custom stylesheet in addition to the stylesheet
    generated by Portal:
    <HTML dir=#DIRECTION#>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>#TITLE#</TITLE>
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript1.1" SRC="/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.wwv_javascript.fetch_script?p_name=popUpWindow">
    </SCRIPT>
    #PAGE.STYLE#
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/images/css/my.css">
    <style type="text/css">
    body {
    scrollbar-arrow-color: white;
    scrollbar-base-color: black;
    scrollbar-dark-shadow-color: yellow;
    scrollbar-track-color: #F1F1F1;
    scrollbar-face-color: #93B5DE;
    scrollbar-shadow-color: white;
    scrollbar-highlight-color: silver;
    scrollbar-3d-light-color: black;
    </style>
    #PAGE.BASE#
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    #BODY#
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    And Rajesh, the CSS generated by Portal for a page is generated during Page rendering from the database..

  • Stylemanager.laodStyleDeclarations throws error while trying to laod a style swf

    I have a very simple prototype to depict how run time style sheets can be applied in FLex 4. Fow this I have first made a Theme SWC which contais a css and couple of skin classes.
    I have also created the swf of the css so that I can load swf at runtime. I have used the following link:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flex/using/WS2db454920e96a9e51e63e3d11c0bf69084-7f8c.html#WS2d b454920e96a9e51e63e3d11c0bf69084-7e6d
    I am using the following code to load style sheet
                  styleManager.loadStyleDeclarations("../assets/runtimeStyles/ApplicationStyle.swf",true,tr ue, ApplicationDomain.currentDomain);
    But I am seeing an error whle runing the prototype from Flash Builder 4. The error is
    Error: Could not find compiled resource bundle 'controls' for locale 'en_US'.
        at mx.resources::ResourceManagerImpl/installCompiledResourceBundle()[E:\dev\4.0.0\frameworks \projects\framework\src\mx\resources\ResourceManagerImpl.as:340]

        at mx.core::FlexModuleFactory/docFrameListener()[E:\dev\4.0.0\frameworks\projects\framework\ src\mx\core\FlexModuleFactory.as:126]
    Point o notice is even after this error the style changes are applied but the error window pops up and I have to select continue.
    PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE IS THE PROBLEM

    It's a good idea to compile style modules with the -static-rsls option, which links the styles module without RSLs. Since RSL linking is on by default, the main application will load the default set of RSLs. There is no need for modules or sub-application to load the same RSLs again. I'll put the details of this issue in the bug as I get time to work on it.

  • "Text" Crashes when adding new captions; disconnects from "Styles," etc.

    Running Windows 8.1, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 display adapter, 32GB RAM, 7TB of HDD Space, i7 Intel CPU, etc.
    Application: Adobe Premiere Elements 12
    After selecting "Text -> New Text -> Default Text" from the menu bar with the idea of adding a caption to a video clip, it appears that after 1 or 2 successful attempts that the text module disconnects from the style module; "Absalom" becomes the defaulted font, a series of "UUU UUU UUU" characters appears in the caption overlay screen, and no changes can be made, i.e., I cannot change the text, nor can I pick a new style to match previous styles already in use!
    Sure could use some help with this...I've posted several items so far and have received no help, no fixes, for any of these pleas for help. So far, I've experienced this is typical for Adobe, and that if we want any "fixes" to problems associated with their apps, we're supposed to wait for and purchase the next updates?
    Dissillusioned!
    George

    Thank you for your response! MUCH appreciated!
    Additional fodder re this problem:
    1)      I’ve installed two 250GB SSD drives on this system, one is the C: drive, the 2nd is the D: drive.
    2)      I began installing ALL applications to their default locations (C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files (x86).
    3)      I ran out of room on the C: drive, so began migrating applications to the D: drive, as I’ve done forever in the past.
    a.       Uninstall applications from C: drive
    b.      New install on D: drive
    4)      Tested apps against new installations, seemed to work OK.
    Now…having reviewed your suggestions, with all implemented, I’ve discovered the following:
    1)      The path “Local Disc (C) Users->Owner->AppData->Roaming->Adobe->Premiere Elements 12.0->12.0” contains NO “Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs” file.
    2)      Within that folder, there exists only a “logs” folder, and a “Trace Database.txt” file.
    Thank you for also having taken a look at the Elements Organizer issue as well! Update:
    1)      BEFORE migrating the Adobe applications from the C: drive to the D: drive, and while still having some room left on the C: drive, I had the problems as indicated earlier. My first action was to move the catalog file over to my “E:” drive where there was plenty of room. This action did not solve the problem.
    2)      AFTER migrating the Adobe applications to the D: drive, I easily reconnected to the catalog file located on the “E:” drive.
    3)      The same problem exists while trying to “import,”  ID and create thumbnails.
    a.       Import only 1 file…process is OK.
    b.      Import 100 files, Organizer chokes along the way…and may either:
                                                                   i.      Crash completely
                                                                 ii.      Import all files, creating a “space” for them in the display window, but no thumbnails.
                                                                iii.      Import all files, create space for them, create a few thumbnails, then crash.
    It took me several days to “import” 4,200+  *.m2ts video files into the Organizer. Upon completion, it appears that all is functional with the Organizer app. Must play with it some more to make sure.
    Again, thank you for your help!
