Rendering different page content in homepage.
Hi,
I have a homepage with navigation header and footer. On selection of navigation items, the respective content will be rendered in homepage.
How can I do this?
Note: I have not used view.js and controller.js, all the content are in html for each page.

Those are separate articles. You asked about the different sizes in the same article. I missed the part about different size articles…sorry.
You can use smooth scrolling with longer articles but they have to be single pages. Make sure to turn smooth scrolling on and use the _h or _v suffix with the file names.

Can I open a tab with a different page than my homepage?
I wanted to find out if it's possible to open a tab with a different page than my homepage. It doesnt seem that I can do what I want because when I go to Safari Preferences/General, the only options for tab open is topsites/homepage/empty page/same page/bookmarks. I'm surprised it doesnt let you select your own choice of page - if that is different from your home page. It would seem t his would be so simple...Why cant I have a different webpage as my homepage when I open a new window and something else when I open a new tab. But apparently I cant.
Let me know if there's a way to do it.Actually I did get it to work the way I wanted to; thanks. Its hard to explain but I had to set my homepage to what I wanted my tab to be , and then set my new window to the folder with just the one URL. So in this one example (although now I know I can customize it). I set my homepage to igoogle but then set my tab to open with my homepage (which really isnt my homepage) and a new window to open with a folder that just had "Google News" in it.
Seems confusing and a lot of steps to do something that could easily be accomplished by just letting the user type in the URL of what they wanted. Instead, I had to jump through hoops and basically set up a homepage that is not really a homepage because my new windows wont open with it as a homepage...so what makes it a homepage? If that logic makes sense. A homepage is not really a homepage then.
This is another example of where if Id ask Apple, theyd tell me it couldnt be done. Ive had the worst luck with Applecare and instore trainers. Most of the time when they tell me "I Dont know" or "This can't be done", I post something here and get the answers. -
Firefox is rendering a page in quirks mode on one machine, but not on a different machine.
I have two machines that are going to the same website. One machine renders the page correctly, the other enters quirks mode and nothing appears on the screen.
The machine that is not working is running OS X 10.6.4. The one that is working is running 10.4.11.
I tried deleting the preferences, and reinstalling Firefox.
This is a brand new install of the OS and was the first time we tried access this website.The problem is due to a call to getVolumeInformation. It works on my desktop but not on a different machine which has different drives and partitions etc. I'm returning the file system type of the fixed drives, however on certain fixed drives it fails. At first I thought it was failing on logical drives but that does not seem to be the case.This is nonsense in terms of your original post.
Perhaps you meant to say that some of your native methods work and others dont? And the one and only way that they don't work is because you get the link error? If yes then I already told you what the reason is.
Conversely there is some other failure, which has nothing to do with a link error. And thus it is pointless to continue to discuss this unless you actually explain what is happening. -
Can I open a tab with a different page (of my choice) than my homepage?
I dont think its possible but maybe someone can tell me Im wrong. I wanted to open a tab with a different page than I open a new Safari window. I would think this would be easy to do and I could just type in the URL I want, but Safari doesnt give me that option. If I go to Preferences/General to the open tab option , I only can do homepage/same page/book marks/ empty page/top sites. I wish Safari had the option for me to type in the URL I want - just like I can with a homepage.
So maybe someone wants to have the AppleStartPage as their homepage but wants their Gmail as their tab opening page. Or GoogleNews as the homepage and USAToday as the tab page....or iGoogle as the homepage and Apple Store as the tab page...Well you get the picture.
It seems like it would be such a simple t hing for Apple to do - a lot easier than creating Top Sites - but I dont see that option. I hope Apple will change that in a Safari Update. Why not give users more flexibility and choice in how they want to configure their computer experience?

I have one window with for iview for transactions for se16 and se11.
I want these two windows to open in different tabs of content area.
at present when i click on the second the content area is over wrtten on the first window content.
please suggest any configuration missing / workaround for displaying different pages on different tabs of content area.

SnehaI wonder why do you want to create portal pages for se16 and se11 transactions from portal. However one option is to develop a custom iView using PDK to display two tabs.

Similar pages with different (calculated) content in 2 fields
I try to create a page, lets say like a calendar page for 1 week.
it starts on monday and ends on friday
i created one page for a single week (monday to friday) in InDesign
What i would like to do is to create 52 different pages, one for each week in a year
But these 2 fields have to contain the correct value for the date, one for monday and one for friday
these pages only need to be printed, there is no need to save them.
is it possible to create these 52 pages from the "template" using java ?
So for 2014 it would look like this
week1: field "monday" contains "2013-12-30"
field "friday" contains "2014-01-03"
week2: field "monday" contains "2014-01-06"
field "friday" contains "2014-01-10"
and so on ...

1. Set the Next page of the FIRST as FIRST
2. In the MAIN window of the FIRST, after completing the TABLE, create a command which calls the SECOND PAGE.
3. In SECOND page, create a MAIN window, with differnet name. If you create a same name, system will automatically refer the MAIN window in the FIRST page.
4. Set the next page of the SECOND as SECOND.

Need Help Centering Page Content
Hi, I have added a white box behind my main page content but the content is not centered within the box. It seems to be on the left. There are a number of different style sheets and I need to find out which style is affecting how the content is positioned.
1. In this link below I’m not sure what is making the content go to the “left”. I need all of the thumbnails to be centered in the white area. That is what I need to find out first. What is the best way to find what is causing the thumbnails to go to the left? Is there an easy way to narrow down what is causing the thumbnails to go to the left?
If I select “ul.work li” I notice it is set to (float: left). If I change it to (float: right) the thumbnails all move to the right. but if I set it to (float: none) the thumbnails all line up vertically. Not what I want.

So back to the initial question. I am trying to center the content in the body but it seems to be aligned "left". Using Firebug, I think I have found the part that needs changing.

Copying / Cloning component tree elements to different pages
I am copying a DataTable element to a session bean so that I can use it on a different page.
On the new page I have a DataTable tag in the JSP which is bound to the DataTable in session. However, only the attributes of the DatatTable element are rendered (e.g. <DIV style='height:999px; width:99px;'>, not the children components (e.g Columns).
I presume the problem is because most of the references in the session bean component refer to a different view. Am I correct in my thinking? If so, is there a way to clone? (I know it is not supported in UIComponent)?
PS. Fundamentally, I am have many pages with tabbed or scrollable datatables. I want to 'send' these to one generic page. Here I can disable the scroll bar / pages, so that all rows are visible and then the user can print the table content.

Target Named Anchor in a Spry Collapsible Panel from a different page
Let me start by saying I have combed this forum (and others) looking for a resolution to this. I am familiar with David Powers solution on Foundationphp.com and am using that code in project to open the collapsible panel from a separate page and it works beautifullly. The problem I have is that I want the browser to move down to a specific named anchor inside that opened collapsible panel when clicked from a different page.

If I have a named anchor say <a name="species1" id="species1"></a> down in the page, how do I target that named anchor from my link on the separate page. I have tried adding the #species1 to the end of the link on the link page (see below) but with no luck. I believe those were the instructions on foundationphp.com site.

if you want the pages on which a table with items is printed to have different layouts. Height and position of the main window may differ on the different pages, but the width must remain the same throughout.

New to Personalization so I apologize if this is obvious.
Is there a way to have the same portlet available on multiple
pages and allow a user to set different properties in a profile
based on the page the portlet is in? For example, if portlet X
is available on page A and page B and the edit tab allows the
user to set value Val1 in a property, is there a way to qualify
the Val1 property with a namespace so that it is associated with
the page it is on? Currently if I have some properties defined
in a profile and I set those profile values in an edit page
and get them in the top portlet, then those same profile values
will be associated with that portlet on all pages. That is with
using the um:getProperty tag. Is there some way through roles
to namespace profile values based on the page the portlet is on?

Sure you can.
Just define separate user property sets and store the information based on
the page the user is on.
You can easily determine the page id using portal API (for example look at
the jsp which renders the page tabs in the framework directory).

If you really want to get good answers, you should:
1. Do not ask the same questions in different threads.

5. Do expect hints to work with, while working on an own solution and learn.
6. Do not expect that everyone is reading your postings around the clock.

How to get a date on different pages?

While in edit mode in the Moodle course management system, the Page Content window should display the page as it will appear to the user. If you click on the "Edit" button, you are able to view the HTML code for the page. However, when you return to the normal display mode, the page is blank. This has occurred after the upgrade to Firefox 11.0. Page is normally rendered in Internet Explorer.
A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
