Rendering issue, it suddenly take 3 times the time

I've been looking all over the forums, google, adobe community I'm not abble to find any answer.
Here is my problem, I've been using PPro for a year now, I never had any issue concerning the render, but yesterday, I finished a wedding video (11min) and I wanted to render it to youtube HD 1080 25p so I can send the video by mail.
Usually, 15min of video takes me 3 hours of rendering, using neat video, somtimes colorista and so on... never had any issue. BUT ... yesterday, I do my render as usual and it shows more than 4 hours to render it ... and the time is not decreasing ! So I let it on during the whole day (more than 12hours) and it wasn't at 75% ... There is definitly something wrong, but I can't put my finger on it, and it is quiet frustrating as I was supposed to deliver the video 24h ago... and I have other video to make !
Please help me, I'm out of idea, I already deleted the AME cache, I tried different render settings, I don't understand... I linked a print screen of my CPU and RAM during the render, you will see that it isn't fully used ...
My config :
Intel core i7 3770
16Gb DDR3 corsair ram
Windows 64bits
GPU GTX660 2Go
the videos are on an external HDD using usb 3.0, (never had any problem before)

But unfortunately it is turned off, the only thing I see is that I add too many effects for my GPU and so the process takes much more time, i'm using colorista, misfire, neat video, and some other random effects, it's the only thing that makes sens to me, otherwise it sucks.
I launched the render this morning, 16 hours ago, it is only at 83% ... so baaaadd

Rendering in fcp 7 takes long time
When I export to compressor, even after rendering, it will take about 13 or so hours to process a 150 min video. I'm running Lion on a MacBook Pro. Any ideas how to shorten the time?
DrewThe tag line on your first post says you're working on an iMac. And the second post infers you're working with 1080i HDV footage. If both these assumptions are true, then you need to do a couple of things to keep your sanity.
First, you need to convert all future projects to ProRes 422 as a first step. This will make things render and output faster. HDV imposes a serious "tax" on the processors during playback and (in my limited experience) takes about 5-7X as long to render and output. onverting on the front end is the only way that makes sense.
Second, do not export using compressor unless the minor improvement in quality is worth the incredibly long export times. Just output the timeline using the current settings to get an "intermediate" clip (that is no longer HDV) that you can then send to Compressor to downconvert and transcode to MPEG-2 for your DVD.
Even the above procedure will be painfully slow for this project unless you have a really hopped-up iMac... but when you get to using ProRes it'll be better.

Suddenly takes long time to boot up, then odd behaviors...suggestions?
My computer is about six weeks old and has been fantastic up to this point. Beginning two days ago, however, it started acting odd, not recognizing external drives, etc. A reboot has always fixed such problems before (with other Macs). When I rebooted, I noticed it took 4 to 5 minutes for the desktop to come up. I've noticed other weird problems, like the mouse buttons (both external mouse and pad) don't work. Every reboot takes several minutes and the problems only seem more pronounced.

Boot in Safe Mode (which runs some basic housecleaning) - reboot and hold the Shift key at startup.
Run Utilities > Disk Utility, select your HDD and click Verify Disk (not permissions). If errors are found, you'll need to boot from your Install DVD 1, wait for the menu bar (after language selection), select Utilities menu > Disk Utility, then select your HDD and click Repair Disk. You may need to repeat that step once. -
i have the current Mac Pro the entry level with the default configuration and i feel lack of performance when applying after effects on my videos using final cut pro and also rendering a video takes long time ? what upgrades do you guys suggest i could do on my Mac Pro ?
256GB SSD it shipped with will run low and one of the things to watch.
Default memory is 12GB also something to think about.

The Application Takes long time to Start
Hello All,
We ar eon Unix->64 Bit-> Essbase 11.1.1.3.
Problem Description : The application is taking long to start up. around 5 to 6 minutes. This is very first time it is happening.
There were no specific changes done to the application in the recent releases.
I have tried all options 1. Compacating outline, 2. Purging the application log etc. all other applications respond good on this host except this. Usually any application should not take more than 1 to 2 minutes to start up.
There are no specific errors or XCP files recorded in the logs and folders.

Well I am back on this issue again. I have been working on various option to get this issues solved " start of App takes long time"
Here are some Details. We are on SunOs 64 Bit, has 12CU with dual core, with Essbase 11.1.1.3 running on it. This is an ASO application and has just 7 dimensions, Out of which the ORGANIZATION Dimension is pretty huge with Multiple Hierarchies enabled ( Both Stored and Dynamic ) and has more than 20,00,000 members including the alternate hierarchies ( Shared members)
I did a smoke test by building dimension by dimension the app was startiung up in just *40* seconds. and when i reached the ORG dimension and added more than 70,000 memebrs . there i fall sick. the app now gets back to its old issue ( Takes more than 10 mainutes to start).

I have checked the note 382329,
-> where the indexes 1 and 4 are active
-> index 4 was not "Index does not exist in database system ORACLE"- i have assgined to " Indexes on all database systems and ran the delta load in development system, but guess there are not much data in dev it took 2-1/2 hrs to run as it was taking earlier. so didnt find much differnce in performance.
As per the note Note 549552 - CO line item extractors: performance, i have checked in the table BWOM_SETTINGS these are the settings that are there in the ECC system.

Also for the IP there is selction criteris for FISCALYEAR/PERIOD from 2004-2099, also an inti is done for the same period as a result it becoming difficult for me to load for a single year.
Please suggest.The problem was the index 4 was not active in the database level..it was recommended by the SAP team to activate it in se14..however while doing so we face few issues se14 is a very sensitive transaction should be handled carefully ... it should be activate not created.
The OBJSELSIZE in the table BWOM_SETTINGS has to be Marked 'X' to improve the quality as well as the indexe 4 should be activate at the abap level i.e in the table COEP -> INDEXES-> INDEX 4 -> Select the u201Cindex on all database systemu201D in place of u201CNo database indexu201D, once it is activated in the table abap level you can activate the same indexes in the database level.
Be very carefull while you execute it in se14 best is to use db02 to do the same , basis tend to make less mistake there.

'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' takes more time for creating material document for the 1st time
Hi Experts,
I am doing goods movement using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE in my custom code.
Then there is some functional configuration such that, material documents and TR and TO are getting created.
Now I need to get TO and TR numbers from LTAK table passing material documnt number and year, which I got from above used BAPI.
The problem I am facing is very strange.
Only for the 1st time, I am not finding TR and TO values in LTAK table. And subsequent runs I get entries in LTAK in there is a wait time of 5 seconds after bapi call.
I have found 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' takes more time for creating material document with similar issue, but no solution or explanation.
Note 838036 says something similar, but it seems obsolete.
Kindly share your expertise and opinions.

The other idea is not to commit each call, but executing commit of packages e.g. after 1000 BAPI calls.
But otherwise, I am afraid you can not do a lot about performance of standard BAPI. Maybe there is some customer enhancement which is taking too long inside the BAPI, but this has to be analysed by you. To analyse performance, just execute your program via tr. SE30.

My iMac suddenly can't read the backup hard drive I've been using for Time Machine. I tried unplugging the cord that connects the HD to the iMac and plugging it back in, but I still get "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" below which are buttons for Initialize, Ignore and Eject. I was using a cord that went from larger square plug to larger square plug. So then I tried one that went from smaller square plug to what I think is USB (thin rectangular plug) of the sort that connects the keyboard and mouse. It's the type that my printers and scanners use to connect to the iMac. I did NOT just upgrade the OS or anything. The external HD is an OWC Mercury Elite All Pro. It's worked fine since I got the iMac 4 years ago. What else can I try before just trying to initialize and
Thanks, Michael! I do hear it at times spooling up and running. Just after I bumped the thread I looked for troubleshooting for this drive online and found the manual which suggested using Disk Utility which I've seen before accidentally (if I hit Command Shift U instead of Shift U to type "Unit" on a new folder for a student's homework ) but had never really noticed. Disk Utility does see it and also a sub-something (directory?) which might be the Time Machine archives on the disk, called disk1s2), sort of the way that my iMac's hard drive shows up as 640.14 GB Nitachi HDT7... and has a sub-something titled DB iMac, which is what I named my iMac's hard drive.
Anyway the owner's manual just shows the image under the formatting section, not the troubleshooting section, but as soon as I saw it in the manual I remembered seeing it accidentally a few times, went to it, and am now verifying the disk. Right now it's telling me that it will take 2 hours to complete the verification, so I guess I have a bigt of a wait. :-)
Does that fact that Disk Utilities can see it mean it's not failed, or just that it hasn't completely failed?
I can see the virtue in having multiple redundant backups, or at least two backups. What do you suggest? Two external hard drives? I had this one linked by ethernet, and but I also have a cord that could link it by USB (like a printer), so if this one is reparable I could get a second one and link it by USB. If this one is not reparable I could get two and do the same thing. I do have an Airport so I suppose it's possible to get some sort of Wi-Fi hard drive (my new printer/scanner uses only the network and not a cable, although it has a cable that I used for the initial installation), but I'd suspect a Wi-Fi hard drive might have a higher price.
What hard drives, if any, do you recommend? I seem to recall that when I was looking at external hard drives 4 years ago, Apple's were substantially more expensive, which is why I got the OWC Mercury Elite All Pro. -

Web report for opening it takes long time how to reduce the time?

I created report using webi. For next time while opening it takes more time. How to reduce the time.Hi Manikandan,
There could be multiple reason behind the bad performance.
1. Are you using supported JVM version to run Webi reports?
2. Do the reports contain prompts? Are the LOVs set to "Automatic refresh before use"? If yes, uncheck it.
3. How many queries do the report has? Can you run the queries one by one and check which query is taking much time?
4. If it based on relational database, copy and run it against the database directly and check how much time it takes. If more, you may have to fix the issue at database level like using temporary tables, indices, etc.
5. Also check if there are firewalls or proxy server between client and server communication. if yes, try to refresh the report directly on BO server and check.
6. Check if there is any hinderance between BO server and Database server communcation.

and i have overriden the executeQuery() method in the View Object Impl class as shown below:

1. The above exception message is getting carried forward to other pages as well. I mean somewhere in the session/ADFContext this message is being saved and error comes up/pops up when i click on other tabs of the page. How do i clear this?
2. The above exception message is coming for the first time but when i click the 'Submit' button second time, i am getting the results and also the message that 'Query is taking too long to respond'. This should not be the case, everytime it should show the same message as the timeout limit is less and the query should end without fetching the results.
Kindly let me know how to resolve the above issues, any pointers will be helpful.

In Reporting Service, the total time to generate a report include TimeDataRetreval, TimeProcessing and TimeRendering. To analyze which section take much time, we can check the table Executionlog3 in the ReportServer database. For more information, please

In your scenario, since you mention the query spends less time, the delay might happens during report processing and report rendering section. So you should check Executionlog3 to check which section costs most of time, then you can refer to this article

The "issues" you've raised are nothing to do with the iCloud service.
No service that uploads data allows you to disconnect the device you are uploading from while uploading data. Doing so would prevent the upload from completing. It is a basic requirement for any uploading service that you remain connected to it for uploading to be possible.
The time it takes to upload data to iCloud is entirely dependent on how fast your Internet connection is, and how much data you are uploading. Both of these things are completely out of Apple's control. Whichever upload service you use will be affected by the speed of your Internet connection. -

In this case, the issue can be caused by that there are too many members under this dimension. In your query, you used CrossJoin function to join multiple dimensions which might cause the performance issue. If you cross-join medium-sized or large-sized sets
(e.g., sets that contain more than 100 items each), you can end up with a result set that contains many thousands of items—enough to seriously impair performance. You can use the NonEmptyCrossjoin function instead of Corssjoin function. For the detail
