Rendering UWL Items By Date

Hi Experts,
I have followed this webblog [uwl blog|Flashy UWL ...]. I got the UWL Items. Now i am trying to get the UWL items by Date. I am using UWL APIs .
I am using the following code to get the items by date .
QueryResult result = itemManager.getItems(uwlContext,QueryProperties queryProps,CompoundExpression filter);
I have some doubts in passing this two parameters QueryProperties queryProps,CompoundExpression filter. If anyother method is there for filtering Items by date.Can anybody help me to get through this.

Using the DATEDIFF I am cheching for 90 days prior.

Unable to change the deadline of a due date notification in UWL Item

Hi All,
We are trying to change Duedate Notification deadline in runtime through API's.
We are able to change the Duedate deadline in runtime by using Backgground CO.
But the problem is its not getting effected in UWL of that Item(Action).Its showing old deadline which we kept in the design time.
My questions are:
Can we change the deadline date of a duedate notification in runtime and display it in UWL Item.
We are facing this problem since longtime and searching for all alternative methods.but unfortunately we are not succeded.

Sorry to spam this board but I've found the problem and answered my own question - because it was importing the image as an image sequence and not a single image, there was the problem.

Rendering JList items instantly

I wanna know how to rendering JList items instantly without selecting any item,so the rendering of the item has to be automatically.

Well how does the icon change? Normally changes to the data are done by updating the model, in which case the list will get painted automatically.

Data folder can not be opened in finding " AirPort Time Capsule " The operation can not be completed because the original item for " data" does not exist .

I have a " AirPort Time Capsule " (firmware 7.7.3) When I try to open the data folder in "finder". Then I got the message " The operation can not be completed because the original item for " data" does not exist". I have a lot of data and I can understand why I get this message?

Get a USB drive of 2TB or more.. assuming your TC is 2TB. Either preformatted Mac or plug into your Mac and format it standard Mac OS Extended Journaled in disk utility.
Do a full archive of the TC. You do this using airport utility. Do not click the erase disk.. I marked in green.. just the archive.. that is to backup the internal disk to the USB disk. It is not fast.. take it that the process will go at around 40-50GB/hr.
Once you complete the archive .. it is a direct image of the data on your TC.. you can then plug it into your computer directly.. and then try and open the files you lost.. if you cannot open them.. open disk utility and fix the permissions.

It is possible to fix things on the USB drive because it is locally mounted.. but you cannot fix it on TC which is network drive.

Item level data in sap script

Hello Friends,
I have a report which prints Normal Tax invoice & Returns Tax, I modified this report just by adding one extra "delivery channel". The report call one more program which dose the printing job based on the delivery no.
The issue, I can able to see the header data in th the print preview of the tax invoice, and not able to see item level data.
Please help me how to resolve this issue.

You need to pass the line item data to the smartform/script. Please check in debug mode whether the data is passed correctly.

Find Sales Order Item Basic Data by Elements query fails

I am trying to consume Find Sales Order Item Basic Data by Elements in .NET 3.0.
Every thing appears to be working fine -- I could query by PO number, Creation time, SalesOrganisationID etc.
However, the most basic query is mysteriously failing. I just want to query by Sales order number, and have given a valid sales order number 6718 that exists in SAP.
It fails giving the following errors:
(in Log.LogItem.Note variable):
"Conversion failed: Invalid input format"
(in Log.LogItem.TypeID variable):
"701(SFB)"
Code is pretty simple, and I am just trying to query Saler Order number 6718. Of course there is nothing wrong with its format.

I could not even have any documentation on what to put in InclusionExclusionCode, and IntervalBoundaryTypeCode. They apper to be some Global Data Types for which I couldn't find any documentation. Sales order schedule line contains del date, order qty, rounded qty, confirmed qty, delivery qty, schedule line category, purchase requisition etc., ie It contains the full details of sales order data with respect to the scheduled line of delivery. The total quantity of a sales order item can be subdivided into schedule lines that contain the various subsets with the corresponding delivering dates.
Sales order Item level data contains details of the item in the sales order like material code, net price, net value, UoM, PO details, reason for rejection if any, material group,billing date, plant etc., ie this
contains the full details of item irrespective of scheduled line.

I've installed SQL Server 2012 SP1 + SP server 2012 + SSRS and PowerPivot add-in.
I also configured excel services correctly. Everything works fine but the powerview doesn't work!
While I open an excel workbook consist of a PowerView report an error occurs: "An error occurred while loading the model for the item or data source 'EntityDataSource'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions

Based on the current error message, the error can be related to the
Claims to Windows Token Service (C2WTS) and is an expected error under certain conditions. To verify the issue, please check the aspects below:
 1. The C2WTS Windows service and C2WTS SharePoint service are both running.
 2. Check the SQL Server Browser service is running on the machine that has the PowerPivot instance of SSAS.
 3. Check the domain. You're signing into SharePoint with a user account in some domain (call it Domain A). When Domain A is equal to Domain B which SharePoint server itself is located (they're the same domain), or Domain
A trusts Domain B.
In addition, the error may be caused by Kerberos authentication issue due to missing SPN. In order to make the Kerberos authentication work, you need to configure the Analysis Services to run under a domain account, and register the SPNs for the Analysis
Services server.
To create the SPN for the Analysis Services server that is running under a domain account, run the following commands at a command prompt:
• Setspn.exe -S MSOLAPSvc.3/Fully_Qualified_domainName OLAP_Service_Startup_Account
Note: Fully_Qualified_domainName is a placeholder for the FQDN.
• Setspn.exe -S MSOLAPSvc.3/serverHostName OLAP_Service_Startup_Account

Which all tables suffice all line item GL data requirements

Please clarify this requirement for Line Item Data from New GL. my client BMW Inc have configured New GL in ECC 6.0 if i pull all the records to BW from FAGLFLEXA (Line Item Table) is that sufficient to meet the all line item GL data or is there any other tables missing that also shall be combined to bring the Line item GL data. Please help me for this if u can check with any of your friends in FICO.
2. I have seen that BSEG AND BKPF are used earlier in old FI versions so what is there now in New GL ECC 6.0 that will suffice for these BSEG AND BKPF or still i have to pull records by using these tables. for GL Line Item Data.
If you can help me to give the short overview of New GL posting process it would be great.

We are trying to configure the Power View in SharePoint 2013. We did the entire configuration by following below steps. When we open the excel workbook (2013) containing
Power View sheet (using excel web services) deployed in SharePoint Document library, we get the below error.
“An error occurred while loading the model for the item or data source
'EntityDataSource'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions to access the data source.”
Steps followed for configuring Power View in SharePoint Server 2013 (Single Machine setup):
Installed SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition
Did not configure it at this time
Installed SQL Server 2012 with default instance installation (selected every features)
Later installed SP1 for SQL Server 2012
After that installed Analysis Server in SharePoint mode (SQL Server PowerPivot for SharePoint)
Again installed another Analysis Server and selected the tabular mode of data model
Then ran the configuration wizard of Share point 2013 for farm configuration (only for central admin creation)
Later we ran the PowerPivot for SharePoint 2013 (spPowerpivot.msi)
Then using the Power Pivot Configuration tool for 2013 and completed all the steps and configured the excel service and registered the above two analysis service instances.
Questions/Doubts are:
Is our steps followed as mentioned above is correct for configuring Power View in SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition?
Is the SQL Server 2012 Enterprise edition with SP1 installed is sufficient to view Power View sheets in SharePoint 2013 or we need to use the SQL Server 2012 SP1
CTP3 software for Power View feature as mentioned in the below link.

I'll bet that I know the answer to this one - and you probably won't like it ;)
Here's the telling portion of that error: "We cannot locate a server to load the workbook Data Model."
This error is thrown in two scenarios; the first, when you haven't registered an analysis server. The second appears to be the issue you're having:
PowerPivot requires SQL Server 2012 SP1. Microsoft issued a release of SQL Server 2012 SP1 that really wasn't SP1...
Check the version of SQL that you are running. It should be version 11.0.3000 or greater. If it's not, you have the wrong "SP1" installed. The correct one is
here.
Here's the bad news- you can't simply redeploy the correct one... because the installer already thinks that SP1 is installed. You'll have to backup (or detach and copy) your databases, then re-install SQL with the correct SP1, then restore or reattach
the databases. Once you've done that, PowerPivot and PowerView will work properly.
I sincerely hope this resolves your issues - we wasted TWO WEEKS of our time with this problem!

Just put the SP like this, without the -- before the IF. A -- marks the line as a command therefore you need to uncomment and it will work.

Opening a Portal page from UWL item's click

Hi,
I have written a custom UWL connector that connects to 3rd party system to fetch tasks.
This custom connector has been registered with UWL and tasks from this 3rd party system are now appearing in my UWL.
The requirement is to open a Portal page on click of these UWL items.
That is, when user clicks on this custom UWL item, a Portal page should be opened in new window.
I tried setting item's executionURL to following (inside getItems() method of connector) : -
1. https://myportal.com/irj/portal?navigationtarget=roles://portal_content/com.mycompanyPurchaising/com.mycompany.Purchase_Request/com.mycompany.Roles/com.mycompany.purch_pr/com.mycompany.purch_pr/com.mycompany.purchaseRequest
2. https://myportal.com/irj/portal?navigationtarget=roles://portal_content/com.mycompany.Purchaising/com.mycompany.Purchase_Request/com.mycompany.Roles/com.mycompany.purch_pr/com.mycompany.purch_pr/com.mycompany.purchaseRequest&target="_blank"
3. Set Quick link property of corresponding page and then set executionURL as: -

Issue being faced: -
When user clicks on this UWL item, it opens following URL which just displays blank portal page: -

I am not able to figure out what & from where its preparing above URL instead of opening the URL that I specified in Connector's executionURL attribute.

Issue was with iView that I was trying to open in DEV portal.
It worked fine in TEST & PROD portals.
Hence, NavigationTarget=<> approach works fine.

Error while accessing UWL item

I have configured ESS/MSS..... When an employee raises a leave request, the manager gets the Leave request for approval in UWL...but when i select the UWL item to open,i get the following error;
501   Not Implemented
                                                      SAP J2EE Engine/7.00
Method ïPOST is not defined in RFC 2068 and is not supported by the Servlet API
Details:   No details available
Following one of the threads in SDn, i decatiavted "use HTTP 1.1" in Tools- >Internet Options-> Advanced settings- > HTTP settings ..but still the error presists..
Any idea why i get this error and how to solve it?

Acknowlegment for PO Item has date variance

Hi gurus,
While doing the Inbound Delivery the following error:
" Acknowledgement for PO Item has DATE VARIENCE"
Can some body throw light on it ?

hi,
if you try do delivery for the PO item before the date that is mentioned in the PO. Please check the In PO,Item details, under the tab Confirmations, the date entered for the inbound delivery. so you can change the date in PO to the required date and do the inbound delivery.
