REP-50159 after upgrade.

Hi.
I am facing a BIG problem in one of my customers. After upgrade of Forms&Reports Services from 9.0.4 to 10.1.2, there is a report (character) that presents the REP-50159 error when sent directly to the printer.
When I downgrade to release 9.0.4, everything works fine, so I can consider that its not a problem with printers or envoronment.
Its causing me some big trouble, is there anyone who has any kind of idea?
Any help would be appreciated.

It might be worth you trying to do the following resets:
Soft Reset:
Enter into your keypad *#7780# and when prompted, enter the default passcode 12345. If you have changed the code, it will be the code you changed it to.
A backup will not be needed as this will not delete any data.
Hard Reset:
This will erase all data on your device, so a backup is recommended before you do this.
Once backed up, enter *#7370# and when prompted, enter 12345 as the default passcode.

After upgrading to mountain lion, contribute cs4 did not open

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I found that Contribute CS4 did not open. In searching for an answer I found the following on the Adobe forum:
"Earlier versions of Adobe Photoshop (CS3 and CS4) software were also tested with Mountain Lion and there are currently no known issues."
So continuing to search, two days of frustration ensued as I "chatted" with 2 unhelpful Adobe customer support reps, searched unhelpful Apple and Adobe websites and posted my question in various places. Finally I found that the above statement was completely wrong when I received the following from an Adobe staffer:
Mountain LION is not a supported platform for Adobe Contribute CS4. The supported versions are Latest Adobe Contribute 6.5 and Adobe Contribute CS5.X.
And now I have to spend hundreds in order to maintain my website after upgrading to Mountain Lion. I don't even know to whom I should take my complaint, Apple or Adobe. Does this mean I have to research every piece of software I use before upgrading my Mac? At the very least, Mac owners should be forwarned of platform support failures for major 3rd party producers. I'm doing my bit here. How about you taking some responsibility?

I just baught a new imac from the apple store and loaded mountain lion when I got home due to the time it would take there. I then used migration assitant to load CS4 from my mac pro that is using snow lepord. This worked flawlessly. CS4 and Bridge work great. I then downloaded the mountain lion upgrade to my wifes mac pro that was also using snow lepord and once mountain lion was instaled it disabled CS4 compleatly. I will repost the results tomorrow. I believe that I can reinstall CS4 to her mac pro now that she has mountain lion installed using migration assistant from my mac pro since it worked this way with the new imac. I hope this works because I want to upgrade my mac pro to mountain lion but can't afford to lose CS4.

Can't Print After Upgrading to Windows 8.1

My HP4100 is connected via USB adapter, since printer ports no longer come with computers, and my (older) HP4100 requires one. (I have a HP700 desktop.)
After upgrading, the printer was gone from Printer Setup. I downloaded the "HP Print and Scan Doctor", which found the right driver, which I installed. Great. Now the printer shows up, but every time I try to print to it, I just get "Printer HP4100 is in an error state." Extremely informative message, I must say. I rely on this printer for our business. Now what?
Frustrated.

I downloaded the 64-bit driver, but that didn't work either. The HP rep said that the printer won't work on Win 8.1. Funny, he never mentioned a different adapter as a potential solution - he just went right to selling me a new printer. I loved my HP4100. Had it for 13 years and it never failed us. It is a workhorse printer, with real steel paper trays and moving parts, etc. at a time when most parts in most printers are all plastic.

RPE-01012 after upgrade to 9.2.0.4

After upgrading OWB from 9.2.0.2.8 to 9.2.0.4, I'm getting the an error when trying to deploy code.
Getting the following error:
RPE-01012: Cannot deploy to the target location because it is owned by a different runtime platform.
I've read that I need to tell OWB that now it has to use the new (upgraded) repository, so I created a new repository runtime connection, pointing to the new rep-owner, but that was -obviously- to no avail.
Is there something else that needs to be done before code can be deployed again?

I've read that the only new user/schema that needs to be created is for the runtime repository. Somewhere further in the coming 'story' it will appear (bold).
Let me explain how the upgrade went.
This is what the readme says for general steps:
1. Patch the Client Side (Design Time) install
2. Patch the Server Side install
3. Upgrade the Client Side (Design Time) Repository
4. Upgrade the Runtime Repository
5. Re-create the Runtime Repository connections
Also it states the following:
Note: Make sure that you have obtained the patch for the platform where your Server Side install is located. This may not be the same platform as your Client Side (Design Time) install. E.g. If you perform Design Time tasks on Windows, but deploy and execute on Solaris, you will need both the Windows and Solaris versions of the patch.
Since our database (9i) is running on AIX (5L) and the client is Windows 2000 Pro, both patches have been applied.
The DBA's have applied the AIX-patch for the server side, but also for the client (remark of one of the DBA's: "The runntime is installed on database and the client also installed on AIX side. I will do both."), so also "II.4. Upgrading the Design Time Repository".
On Windows I patched client as well as server installation (i.e. the copying of new files to OWB-home with two batch-files).
I did NOT run owb\bin\win32\DTupg92to9204.bat as stated in section II.4.1, because the DBA's had already done this... on AIX though.
Section II.5 has also been performed by the DBA's. Note the following here: "Create a new Runtime Repository in same database as the old Runtime Repository. DO NOT create new Target Schema(s) or new Runtime Access User(s). The In-place Migration will re-associate your current Target Schema(s) and Runtime Access User(s) to the new Runtime Repository. This step must be performed on the Server Side install." I assume the DBA's performed the in-place migration.
After this I was NOT allowed to run the indicated next three steps on the windows environment (I guess that makes sense since the new repository has already been created... but the owb home on my PC therefore is unchanged, don't know whether that matters, I guess it shouldn't).
In II.6 I have to connect to new environment. I therefore connect with my OWB-client using the same usr/pwd as always (since that didn't change), and in OWB I could see my project straight away (therefore I did NOT import the project that I have exported prior to the entire upgrade process).
I created a new runtime repository connection pointing at the new user.
And now the situation where deploying a mapping results in RPE-01012.
The funny thing is that I deployed 3 sequences (which have been defined BEFORE the upgrade), and that worked well. I also created a new table definition and deployed that, also no problem.
So... what's the verdict?

Before I did this the iphone worked correctly, and after I did this it will not let me access the apps at all. I went to the Apple store and the rep told me I needed to have a working AT&T sim installed in it to complete the upgrade. I went to the AT&T store and had them put one of their working sim card in and it would not work. The AT&T rep said he has seen several people with Iphone 3GS who updated to the latest IOS 5.1.1 whos phones will not recognize the sim card and thus will not let you get to the apps.
Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

Same issue. I emailed apple and they had me call apple. Not really any help. Did all the troubleshooting listed and to have further help diagnosing problems it isn't free. I explained to the rep that I have seen others having same issues - he didn't know anything about. This is first time I have had problems. I can't even purchase song on my PC but can on my iphone. I just would like to be able to access my account. Afraid to sign out of itunes in case I can't even get to my library etc.

After upgrading to iOS5 - phone ear speaker is NOT working

Well, my excitement from upgrading to the new iOS5 on my iPhone 4 gave way to frustration when I found out that the phone's built-in ear speaker is no longer working. Tried everything from a hard reset, to re-syncing with iTunes, playing around with every setting I could find, and a few "fixes" I found online that were absolutely useless and did nothing.
This only appears to happen when making or receiving phone calls (and listening to voice mail) - when I select speaker, all audio plays normally, but clicking back over to headset, and nothing. Earbuds also work okay.
Prior to installing iOS5 this problem did not exist in the least.
Apple - I am going to ASSUME you properly beta tested this OS on ALL compatible devices prior to its release, did you not? Apparently (from my web searching) I am not the only person suffering this malfunction with their iPhone after upgrading to iOS5.
Is there anyone out there that has figured out a way to fix this, or am I just screwed? I don't know how to revert back to iOS 4.3.3 if that's even possible at this point. This is a phone I use for work, and I need to have this functioning properly.

I'm having exactly the same problem with my iPhone 4. Since the upgrade to IOS5, I've noticed I can no longer hear calls through the ear-piece, though using the speaker phone option works fine.
I took my phone to the Apple Store in Sydney and they advised that the problem was related to my sim card & that I should contact my telco for a replacement. I seriously didn't believe the Apple rep when she said this, but politely said thanks, went home and tried it out by swapping my sim with my wife's.
Guess what... it didn't make the slightest difference.
My wife has an iPhone 4 still running IOS4 and the ear-piece works fine. I even put my sim card into her phone and it worked fine as well. So the issue is definitely not related to the sim card.
It sounds like a common issue affecting a lot of iPhone 4 users that have upgraded to IOS5. I'm surprised Apple hasn't acknowledged this and have a patch available to correct (it doesn't sound like a hardware issue).
Anyway, looks like a trip back to the Apple store for more great suggestions.

Scheduling scenarios don't work after upgrading 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.6...

I upgraded ODI version 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.6 without any error.
However although I restart agent, scheduling scenarios don't work on time.
So I regenerated one of scenario using ODI studio menu and then this scenario worked successfully on scheduled time.
After upgrading, do I have to regenrate whole scenarios?
Isn't there any other workaround?

But tell me if I understood this correclty:
Inorder to upgrade from 10.1.3.5 to 11.1.1.6, I have executed the following steps so far:
1) I ran the RCC on my old repositories to check if they are consistent to migrate and it was successful.
2) Copied the E*,M*,W* xml files that RCC created into the oracledi.common\...\sqlserver\patch\ and oracledi.sdk\...\sqlserver\patch folders.
3) Cloned the existing master and work reps of 10g.
4) Installed the ODI 11g, but did not create the master rep and Work rep in 11g hoping that I would upgrade the existing cloned 10g repositories.
Now my understanding after going through some documents online is that UA uses the cloned repository details (master and from there it gets the work rep details) and 10g supervisor details that we provide and connects to cloned master and work reps and upgrades them. I do not know what this jdbc error is? Because I tried and could also create a brand new master repository in the 11g using ODI studio, now if 11g could not connect to DB using the jdbc how could it have created the repository. If 11g connects to DB I am assuming that UA should also be able to connect right?
Please correct me if my assumptions are wrong.

Unable to change tracks on my stereo after upgrading to iOS 6

After upgrading to iOS 6 yesterday I've noticed a problem playing my music through Bluetooth on my Alpine car stereo. It still plays but I am unable to change tracks with the stereo, I have to manually do it on my iPhone. This is a problem, any ideas?

I spoke to a rep at Alpine today. They are aware that there are major issues with the release of iOS 6 and ALL their products. The said they will have to do a firmware update and he had no idea when that would be available.
Not good as I bought a new unit yesterday ! It workd great driving home and this morning no iPhone interface would function properly. I updated my OS last night. And I cannot go back to OS 5 I am told by Apple people.
I love Apple products but I must say I do not like their "we know best" attitude when it comes to deciding what OS I should run on my iPhone. I would much rather have OS 5 and let my iPhone work with my stereo.
Hopefully this firmware update will not take too long but I know there is no way it will be right away. The Alpine rep said his phone started ringing off the hook at 8 am from Alpine techs all over the country !
So clearly this was news to them.

ASA5510 VPN not working after upgrade from 8.2 to 8.3

I have recently upgraded a customer ASA5510 to version 8.3.
After upgrade web access etc is working fine however VPN is down.
The config looks very different after the upgrade plus what looks to be duplicate entries.
I suspect its an access list issue but I'm not sure.

Finally got access to implement your suggestions.
Initially none of the VPN's were up.
After making the change the two VPN's came up.
However only data via the first VPN is possible.
Accessing resources on the 10.1.2.0 network is still not possible.

Web Query (.iqy) not working in Excel after upgrade to 11.1.1.6

After upgrade 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.6, the Web Query (.iqy) does not work. After open the .iqy file in Excel, entered the user and password, it only pulls in "PK" in one cell, instead of the expected analysis report. This was working in 11.1.1.5 before upgrade.
Does anyone know how to correct this issue? Is this a bug in 11.1.1.6, or required some new configuration settings?

I cannot update apps after upgrading to Yosemite. Please Help!

Hello,
After upgrading to Yosemite, i wanted to go on to iMovie, but i have to update. So i try to update but it refuses and tells me: "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
So what i understand is because i bought this mac in the US and I'm using it in the UK its not letting me update it. But what i don't understand is that i was able to upgrade to Yosemite with my mac knowing i was in the UK.
How can i update my applications?

Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept it and the other iLife/iWork applications into your Apple ID, do so.
2. Move them out of the Applications folder(they may need to be put into the Trash temporarily), and then see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If you're asked to buy them, see #3.
3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.

Cannot open customize OAF screen after upgrade to 12.1.3

Hi,
After upgrade to 12.1.3, I am not able top open customize OAF screens from Applications.
By following some documents from MOS, I have done the following.
1)-applied patch 9879989 on Linux server.
2)-I am able to install JDeveloper,open and compile my customize programs from JDeveloper installed on Linux server. I compilation, new *.jpx files created from *.jpr
From Oracle Applications, I am getting the same error that I was getting without compiling customize program.
My question is that, how Oracle applications will read the new compiled program. Do all program need to be in specific unix directory ?
I copied all the customized program under " /u01/oracle/jdev_install_dir/jdevhome/jdev/myprojects" .
I think the problem is now to place OAF files in the problem directory, which I don't know.
Do I need to set environment variable like JDEV_USER_HOME in the environment file ?

Not sure if your issue is resolved. Did you compile the java sources in JDeveloper and moved all files from myclasses folder to unix under $JAVA_TOP or appropriate directory and deployed the PG files using xmlimporter?

Cannot use elementary icons themes after upgrading to GTK+-2.22.0 ?

Hello All,
After upgrading to GTK+-2.22.0, elementary icons look horribly wrong for some reason. I thought maybe i need to download the icons themes again (https://launchpad.net/elementaryicons/+download) so i did download the latest elementary icons and install them in ~/icons. However, the icons themes dont look the way they should look. Therefore, I am not sure what i did wrong, or if it had to do with upgrading to GTK+-2.22.0 and i am wondering if i am missing something or need to change some setting.
I am using Xface4 as my Desktop Environments.
Any help would be much appreciated.

After upgrading, almost all of my icon themes are broken, including Elementary, which is the only one I actually care about.
*EDIT*
Recent update to libpng seems to have solved it for me. They still don't display properly in the "Appearance -> Theme -> Customize... -> Icons" dialog, but they display properly in Nautilus and on the panels.
