Repeated requests for MSN email PW

Hello.
Every 2-4 days I get the request detailed below to reenter my MSN email PW.  I dutifully fill in the PW, check the "save in keychain" box and resubmit.  All is good for 2-4 days when the message repeats.
Note that when accessing my MSN email from other devices (iPhone, IBM laptop) I encounter no issues.
Any suggestions for a permanent fix?  Thank you.

Thank you for the quick response, but I was unable to find anything usefull at the MS for Mac site.  Let me clarify that I am using Apple Mail to access my MSN account - not Outlook or Entourage.
Thanks.

  • New iPad repeated requests for iCloud ID

Since setting up my new iPad (3rd generation) I have been plagued with repeated requests for my iCloud ID/Apple ID. It happens at least once a day, often when I open the device in the morning, but also happens during the day when waking the iPad from sleep. I never had this problem with my old iPad 2.  Any help appreciated.

  • Repeated request for icloud password on booting

Recently, and every time I boot, I get repeated requests for my icoud password.
I have started cancelling the request and can't see any difference.
Wonder how I can stop this.
    I shut down overnight.

Try running Keychain First Aid and resetting the original keychain.

  • Repeated requests for email password

Every now and then (months apart) msn asks me to fill in my email password on my MBP (Lion) every 2 seconds or so for hours at a time - then it usually stops at some point on it's own - and starts doing it again arbitrarily. Has anyone heard of this madness?  I have a 13" laptop from 2009.

    try these two things:
    1) in mail>preferences>general find out what option you have selected for checking mail, if every one minute, you may want to change to 5 minutes or longer, as the one minute change has been known to cause problems with asking/authenticating passwords.
    2) go to your Keychain Access and find out if you have more than one password created for that email account, if so, delete so that you have only one, hopefully the right one
    hope this helps

  • Repeated requests for authorization after migration to 10.6

Recently migrated from my old eMac to a new Mini running OS10.6.
Itunes repeatedly asks for authorization on certain songs - those bought with an old AOL ID back in the day. I enter the ID and PW, then itunes tells me this ID has been changed to an Apple ID. I enter the Apple ID and PW and itunes tells me the computer is authorized. But the old songs still wont play - just repeats the problem over and over again.
I've deauthorized all the IDs' and reauthorized - no luck.
I've deleted the SC folder and reauthorized - no luck.
    Thanks for any ideas!

I did contact support and got the same advice. However - I found the answer!
When I would attempt to authorize by using my old AOL ID i would get an answer telling me that Apple had created an Apple ID for this old account and asking me to log in using this converted Apple ID account. I would do so, but would leave off the "@aol" ending in the Apple ID field (thinking that it wasn't neccessary since I wasn't logging into AOL). Turns out this is the key - the ID needs to have the complete ending.
Once I authorized using an Apple ID of "[email protected]" with the correct password everything worked.
Whew! Three days of screwing around on that one.
    Thanks for everyones suggestions!

  • Repeated requests for account verification

I am trying to update my apps on my iPod touch. I get repeated requests to verify my account information without ever getting connected to iTunes and downloding the information.
I was able to log into iTunes from my PC, downloaded a song and got confirmation for being billed for it.

  • Repeated requests for user name and password

I am suddenly getting repeating requests to provide my user name and password but the requesting screen already has this information filled in. Each time I press OK the request returns. Is this a server problem?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

A quick look through this board will reveal that this has been an intermittent problem with BT Yahoo! for ages and is one of the reasons are moving to a new BT Mail (which itself has stalled because of problems). Meanwhile, logging in direct to webmail then out again has been known to overcome the password issue.

  • Photoshop CS6 Repeated request for license number

How can I stop CS6 repeatedly requesting entry of the license number.
It is becoming a real pain!!

Here we are on January 6th and still no solution.
Having paid nearly £200 for the upgrade all I have received is a considerable amount of trouble. The problem has not only affected my upgrade to CS6 but it also seems to have stopped my RAW file processing in CS5 so that I am unable to undertake my normal working procedures.
Do ADOBE at head office know of these problems (I am aware that others have experienced similar difficulties.)?
I shall copy this reply to Adobe Systems in Ireland and UK as I feel that I have had a very raw deal in this matter. My computer systems are not unusual and are kept up to date. I have no problems with any other software and have only experienced these difficulties with Photoshop since the upgrade to CS6. Frankly it would seem that Adobe are now only interested in supporting those who are prepared to pay stupid monthly sums of cash!!!!
I have used, and still use:-  Adobe Premier, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Soundbooth and Adobe Audition and have had no difficulties with any of this software. I was seriously considering the purchase of Adobe InDesign but it appears that you only wish to support Cloud Membership purchases now so I shall have to re-think that as well. I’m really fed up with Adobe at present. After 30 odd years it would seem you no longer require my patronage.
Having got that off my chest! I look forward to the session with Adobe to resolve these issues tomorrow at 12:00.
    Will post the result later.

  • Repeated requests for "librariand wants to use login keychain"

I am frequently getting dialogue box requests for "librariand wants to use login keychain"....
I understand this is an Apple process, apparently related to iCloud... but how many times does it need to interrupt me?!
There is no "check to remember" option.
Any way to get it to cease?

  • Repeated requests for hotmail password

  • Why repeated requests for my e-mail password?

I have DSL service with AT&T and use Apple Mail for sending and receiving e-mail messages. Several weeks ago a message started popping up repeatedly on my desktop requesting that I enter the password for one of my e-mail accounts. I have two e-mail accounts, and I have had innumerable requests to enter the password for each of my accounts. No matter how many times I enter the password the message continues to show up again. This is an aggravating nuisance!
I have contacted AT&T for tech support, but they are unable to solve the problem. They tell me that this problem commenced 3-4 months ago and is occurring only with Mac Mail users. They suspect that it is related to software updates that Apple has made in the recent past. AT&T management has advised their tech reps not to spend any more time trying to resolve this issue for which they have no solution. Ouch!
If anybody has an answer to this problem I would appreciate knowing what it is. If not, do you know if Apple management is aware of this problem and whether they are working on a solution? Please advise. Thanks.

Search this site (search Google if you like) on Password problems and AT&T, at least you'll know you are not alone.

  • Repeat request for registration on Acrobat XI Pro

Acrobat XI Pro is installed in a single PC (Windows 7, 64-bit) as a full (purchased) package, with the correct serial number, but it 'thinks' it is a 'Trial version', and keeps on asking for registration every 30 days, again and again. Has anyone come accross this weird and annoying behaviour? And, if yes, how can it be fixed? Thanks for any help. The Adobe 'chat' representative said this is a 'technical issue' (smart conclusion!!!) and said he could not sort it out because he can only offer 'customer support'!!!???  Great support, indeed...

I'm experiencing the same exact issue with Creative Suite 6 on Mac OS 10.7.5.
I also experienced a similar situation with Live Chat. He had me log in as "Not Me" on the registration window, reenter my Adobe ID and Password, enter the Serial Number (which I almost know by heart!!) and then open and quit every app in the suite. I don't know why, but after I launched Adobe Bridge, my computer started going really slow. The clock ticked once every 45 seconds or so. I was still on the Chat session, but unable to reply and I guess the rep got tired of waiting for just over 10 minutes. Imagine that - Customer Service had to wait for me!! Lol! Any way, I had to reboot the computer and to his credit, he emailed me telling me we were disconnected and kindly gave me a link to adobe.com so I could surf through the pages to find support and eventually Live Chat again. 20 minutes in the queue, I gave a case number. I thought it would be easy.... Long story short, the helpless 'tech support' guy disconnected me intentionally. He was useless, asking me to clarify that I was trying to transfer software to another computer? I said, 'Could you please read my case?' and he said 'Just one moment, please kind sir' (or something like that) and he disconnected me.
Thanks a lot Lakhan! That was in my ear!
Keep us posted and I'll do the same.

  • TS1389 Repeated Requests For Authorization

My brother and I share a computer, but have separate iTunes accounts. Several songs purchased on his account - Marshall Tucker Band, Heard it in a Love Song (not the only song, just the latest example) - will not play on the computer, no matter which account we are signed into. It says that this computer is not authorized to play this song, and prompts me to enter a password. I do so, and it then says this computer is already authorized. But when I try to play the song, it again tells me the computer is not authorized. I have read all the previous troubleshooting links pointed out by moderators, and NONE of the troubleshooting tips worked for us. I am the admin of this computer, and I already deauthorized all computers and reauthorized this one for both me and my brother's account. PLEASE do not just point out the troubleshooting tips found at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US as these have all been tried and none of them solved the issue.
Thank you for your time in this matter.

I have this problem as well. Upgraded to new Mac and now I can't sync anything. I've authorized the computer for each device under each Apple ID and I still can't sync. I've done everything suggested in the "
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases" and even tried the "
iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization". Nothing is working! I don't want to have to repurchase everything. Someone please find a solution!

  • Repeated requests for passwords at login, Mail, Safari

My G4 suddenly wants my passwords all of the time; when logging in, when checking email, when on the internet. I've reset the preferences, checked and double-checked all of the settings and can't figure out why. I've used this computer for five years without this problem. I've run system utilities, deleted my keychain and made a new one, gone through all of the steps I can think of but I'm obviously missing something.

The keychain is unlocked and yes, the passwords are
the same. The computer should startup without asking
for a password, but it does. And everytime I go onto
the internet, it asks for my keychain password.
Granted this is only a minor annoyance, but I do not
understand why it is suddenly doing this.
Have you looked in the Access Control tab for the keychain items that ask for your password?
There are a couple of radio buttons:
o Allow all applications to access this item
    o Confirm before allowing access
and the last one has a check box:
    Ask for Keychain passwrod
Maybe the defaul is to ask confirmation.
Note that every item has this choice.
