Replicate All Service Application into two Application Servers
Hi All,
I want to replicate all the service applications into another application server in order to configure HA.
we are having two servers having single farm.
Please Help..!!
Install SharePoint on server 2
Join Server 2 to the farm
Activate the services on server 2.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee704549(v=office.14).aspx
Most service applications can be run on multiple servers (and are designed to). The exception is the User Profile Application Synchronisation Service, which can only run on one server in a farm at a time.

Splitting Emergency Address and Family Details into two application
Hi All,
I need a help to figure out how it can be achieved. We are having Ess_family_US application which will allow us to enter the details for all the subtypes we have entered in the backend Table. Now my client is asking to Split the application into two applications as:
1. Emergency Contact
2. Family details.
As they want these applications to be placed in different sections of ESS Overview Screen. More Specificly if i enter Emergency Details it should display and provide editing provision only for Emergency Contacts. In the same way for Family Details also.
Can any one guide me on this how we can approach and resolve it.
Thanks
Ravi SunkaraHi,
It can be possible thru Dynamic XSS Homepages with Static Services
for this you need to create the Dynamic XSS homepage ....
Following is the best document for this

Splitting of dimensions into two applications
Dear all,
I've come across an artical in SDN says" The Application could be split into two applications POC_APP5 and POC_APP6 with less number of dimensions to expand. In turn would improve the performance of Input schedule and Reports."
Could you kindly tell me how to split dimensions into two sepatare application?
Based on artical:http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/80af7a18-1672-2d10-d2a4-ae0900ed0cff
Regards,Hi,
As said by Anurodh, the application split is basically when the application has huge data across all dimension members of the application having many dimensions.
for your below question,
Could you kindly tell me how to split dimensions into two separate application?
Consider you have a application with Dimensions,
Account, Time, Entity, Category, JobBand, Product
The above have data of Employees Jobband irrespective of Product
and details of product irrespective of JobBand.
This application can be splitted to two aplications having dimensions as below,
Account, Time, Entity, Category, Product
Account, Time, Entity, Category, JobBand
Hope this helps,

Want to integrate all jsf pages into one application like globle mene
Hi,
i have created lot of jsf pages, that all are in diffrenet-2- systems. Now i want to integrate all page in one system for one application. please tell me how i can integrate these in jdeveloper.
Thanks in Advance.
SanjayHi,
if you want them all under one J2EE context root during runtime then you have to move the files to one project root, which is a manual configuration to do. For build requirements like this i think looking into Apache Maven could hep.

Problem consuming portlet of an ADF application into webcenter application
Hi,
I have created a simple ADF application with one JSF page having a document list task flow displaying some documents from UCM. I created a portlet out of it by Create Portlet Entry and deployed it onto integrated weblogic. Then i created a webcenter Application in which i created a single JSF page and dragged that registered portlet on to it.
Problem is that Portlet runs fine standalone
It also Gives the correct WSDL
It was registered successfully
But when i consumed that into my webcenter application, It given me Portlet Unavailable.
Here is the stacktrace of my Jdeveloper log:

Even I am trying to achieve something similar and get the same error.
I created a simple JSR 286 portlet with view.jspx and edit.jspx in Portlet Producer Application. And trying to consume that portlet in WebCenter Portal Application using WSRP.
The producer application gets deployed without any errors and I am able to register that application in WebCenter portal application using WSRP.
I used the content presenter taskflow in Producer Application to grab a html from UCM. Consumed that (drag & drop) remote portlet in home.jspx of the Webcenter Portal Application.
When I run the WebCenter Portal, I get this error on console and in browser:
javax.portlet.faces.BridgeException: oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition portletone.html.viewPageDef of type Form Binding Definition is not found.

at javax.portlet.faces.GenericFacesPortlet.doView(GenericFacesPortlet.java:274)
at javax.portlet.GenericPortlet.doDispatch(GenericPortlet.java:328)
Sometimes I don't see this error when I restart my WLS but the portlet doesn't display any content from UCM either.
I am deploying the applications on Integrated Weblogic Server.
Detail description of what my code is in this post: Error with content presenter task flow in Portlet Producer application

Data from multiple application into single application
Hi All,
I have a requirement as below
Suppose there are 4 different cubes and 1 reporting cube .All the 4 cubes are in different servers/geographical regions.I need to get the data into the reporting cube from all the cubes.
The reporting cube is also in a different server
What are the ways or options to achieve this....
Thanks in advance
Regards,
SriramHi
I don't think you can go with partitioning.
My suggestion would be to look at any other options. Export and Import.
Few Question:
1. Do you want to send all level0 data from all the four cubes reporting cubes?
2. Do you want to send only a portion/subset of data to the reporting cube? Is it level0 only or even upper level data?
3. Are all the Four cubes BSO/ASO?
4. Is the reporting cube already in place (OR) Are you planning ASO for reporting cube?
5. How big are your cubes?
Depending on how much amount data & at what frequency you want to push to reporting cube, you may have to look at different options
As Ambuj said, if you can give a bit more on requirement then we can help out

Intergrate all application into single logon
hi,
Iam using Application Express 3.0.1.00.08
I am having two questions
1. we are having 8 to 9 applications.
So when ever a user logged into each application they have to pass through login screen.
So i have intergrate all the application into a single applciation i.e they should have single logon.
What is the easy way to integrate all application into singe application
2. also is it possible to pass value for an argument from one application to another application like the way we pass value from one page to another
Thanks1. You need to create identical authentication schemes in each application that use the same named cookie. A good way to do this is to create the authentication schem in 1 "master" application and then copy/subscribe it into all the others.
2. Yes, in exactly the same way. However, you cannot use the "navigate to a page in this application" method (of course) so you have to build the entire URL like this:
f?p=OTHERAPP:123:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:123:P123_ITEM:999 -
Can two applications share the same domain ?
Hello experts,
I have done a web application using struts, now the client need is splitting my application into two and accessing them like
First App :http://servername:port/demo/one/index.jsp
Two App: http://servername:port/demo/two/index.jsp
Is it possible that both the applications sharing single domain name?
Thanks in advance.
SRI.Hello,
This can be done. the domain names can be same the context path will distinguish the service like
http://servername:port/demo/one/index.jsp Context part starts from Demo which can remain same and then you can have different services like one, two, three etc
to be more easy we
http://servername:port/service/app-name/ etc..
Please do let me know for more information.
Thanks

Why is my through put better with two applications than one application?
I have two functions, acquire data and write date to database. If I divide these two functions into two applications run under one project, my through put is 100 Hz; but if put both function into one application my through put 10 Hz.
Code woudl help. Without it we would be shooting in the dark as to what your issue is.

Two Application in One EVDRE - check data between two application.
Dear Sap Expert,
We want to check data between two applications.
For example, we have in C_ACCT= 100000000 Amount 5000 in Legal Application, we want to check what amount is in that C_ACCT in ICMatching application.
Problem is that we can't get data from two application with one EVDRE.
If we will make it using two EVDRE, problem when we retrieve data, rows doesn't match.
Our question : is it possible to link to two applilcation using one EVDRE? (Just like dimension? For example for first column it will be Legal, for the next ICMatching.)
If no, how we can solve our needs?
Legal |ICMatching | Difference
C_ACCT 5000 | 2000 | 3000
For example
(100000000)Thanks for answer.
Does it mean that for example if i just want to check C_ACCT=100000000 between two application(Legal and ICMatching) i should build TWO EVDRE, and i can't solve this problem by one EVDRE. (Or with two EVGET)
Our aim that we need to check all BASMEMBERS data between two application, it's huge data, so we want supress all zero data(SUPRESS="Y").
So if we build first evdre for LEGAL, for example it will have, 500 rows.
Second evdre for ICmatching, for example, will have 953 rows.
How we can check data and show difference between them?
Best solution for us, if in one evdre we can retrieve data from two application, so rows will match and we also can supress data.
Thanks,

Linking JMS Queues between two managed servers
I have an environment setup with an AdminServer and multiple managed servers all under the same domain and on the same cluster. They are all running under the same Instance of weblogic on one Windows Server.
I have two different applications on two managed servers that need to have a JMS Queue be linked between them. Essentially have Server1's 'inbox' link to Server2's 'outbox' and Server2's 'inbox' link to Server2's 'outbox'. Each has their own name for their inbox or outbox.
Server1(inbox)=Server2(outbox)
Server2(inbox)=Server1(outbox)
I've tried using Foreign JNDI Providers, however it doesn't allow me to input two addresses (Server1 and Server2).
Is there another function that would do the same thing?
Thanks! You can make use of Message Bridges between any 3th party JMS provider or SAF (store & forward) if both jms servers are weblogic servers.

I cannot install an application in the Applications folder without removing it first
For some time now, I have noticed that I cannot install an application into the application folder without first removing it from the folder. If I try to install it by dragging the icon to the application folder, I get a warning that the application can't be moved because the folder "Applications" can't be modified. I click on authenticate and enter the root username and password. I am warned that the application already exists in the location. I am asked if I want to replace the item. The options presented are "Keep both files", "Stop", and "Replace". I choose "Replace". I am then prompted for an administrator's name and password. I enter "root" and the root password. I then get this lengthy error message:
The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again.
I checked the permissions and "locked" was already deselected. The permissions grant my regular user read and write permissions, "staff" read-only, and "everyone" read-only. If I add "admin" with read and write permissions, nothing changes, i.e. I get the same error. If I try to enter my user credentials, they are rejected. My user is not an admin user. Previously, when I enterered the root username and password, the operation would complete successfully.
Now if I first remove the application from the Applications folder, then drag the application to the folder, I am prompted for an administrator's name and password. When I enter it, the application is copied successfully.
I have tried fixing file and directory permissions from the disk utility, but that doesn't fix the problem. When you say, "locked" was already deselected, I take it that you mean the small icon at the bottom right of the Get Info window displayed an open lock picture.
Have you tried locking it, then unlocking it again? I expect you will be able to lock it by simply clicking on the open lock icon, but to unlock it again you will need to supply an Admin password.
Odd that DU didn't fix it. That would be my first thought also. Suggest trying it again, if you haven't already done so.
Speaking of DU, have you verified your HDD?

How to complie the javafx application to windows application(exe)
I want to complie a javafx application into windows application so that it can run on a windows system without JDK and SDK.
Please tell me how to do itRedistribution of JRE is allowed by its license and you can use wrappers such Launch4J (there are others) to generate an executable for exemple to create a (Swing-based) autorun installation screen for a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM which works even on systems where Java is not installed.
Redistribution of the JavaFX runtime is still not allowed...

CFMX8 - Enterprise OR Standard to use DataDirect JDBC drivers?
