Replication of scheduled date (of phase or task) into assigned WBS-element

Hi Experts,
One of my customers raised the following question:
Is there a possibility to transfer/replicate the scheduled dates of a phase or task into the assigned WBS-element of the financial integration scenario (PS)??
I know, this is not included in SAP standard functionality... but maybe there is a possibilty with a BADI etc.
Thanks for any hints, comments etc.
Best regards,
Jochen

Hi Jochen,
the scheduled dates can neve be tranferred, because they are determined during scheduling. What may be possible is to set or map the scheduled date sto the basic dates of  WBS.  Ther is no standard Badi to extend it. The communication between cProject -> PS is done via Bapi calls.

  • Issue with update_task API for updating Scheduled Dates for Task..

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement to update the project and task dates to a specified period from the current dates. I dont want to update all the tasks, and hence using the update_task API. The scheduled_finish_Date is the column from "pa_proj_elem_ver_schedule" which we want to update. As, this is the date which is shown on the Workplan tab for the tasks for (Scheduled Start and Scheduled Finish Date). I want to extend this scheduled_finish_Date to some days , say for eg. 60 days.
    To achieve, that update_task api is being used and the parameter for the scheduled_date is : p_scheduled_finish_date, this is passed as call to pa_project_pub.update_task API.
    We are also updating the completion data, which is happening fine and is updating the pa_tasks : completion_date column.
    Problem is with scheduled date, Please let me know how to go about this issue.
    Here is the sample code for calling the API :
    pa_project_pub.update_task
    (p_api_version_number => l_api_version_number_i,
    p_commit => l_commit,
    p_init_msg_list => l_init_msg_list,
    p_msg_count => l_msg_count,
    p_msg_data => l_msg_data,
    p_return_status => lt_return_status,
    p_pm_product_code => l_pm_product_code,
    --p_structure_updates_flag      => g_no,
    p_pm_project_reference => l_proj_reference,
    p_pa_project_id => p_project_id_i,
    p_pm_task_reference => p_pm_task_reference_i,
    p_pa_task_id => p_task_id_i,
    p_task_name => p_task_name_i,
    p_task_number => p_task_number_i,
    p_pa_parent_task_id => p_parent_task_id_i,
    p_task_completion_date => p_tsk_actual_finish_date_i,
    --Transaction Date (shown on the screen)
    p_scheduled_finish_date => p_tsk_sched_end_date_i,
    -- Scheduled Date (shown on the screen)
    p_out_pa_task_id => l_pt_task_id,
    p_out_pm_task_reference => l_pt_task_ref
    I am really not sure if I am missing anything here, please suggest as to how to update the Schedule Start and Finish Dates using the API.
    Waiting in anticipation!
    Thank you
    Anand.

    Hello,
    Make sure the wf is active in QA (re-activate if possible), check the transport for errors, check authorizations for WF-BATCH perhaps delete and recreate via SWU3?), refresh the buffers (SWU_OBUF).
    Please let me know if any of this helps.

  • Basic and scheduling  dates & time calculation in process order creation

    Hi guru's,
    i have one requirement, i need to calculate and display the basic and scheduled dates & times based on the given input i.e material , plant , process order type , quantity , UOM and scheduling type ( for corresponding scheduling type user will provide either start date or finish date ) using RFC. can  u plz provide any function module for this purpose or logic for calculating the same  , as i am working on version 4.7ee .
    Awaiting for a quick response.
    Regards,
    Madan

    Dear Rohan,
    1.Check the length of break timings defined in the resource that is assigned in the phase.
    2.Check in OPUZ whether for the process order type and plant combination whether scheduling is to include the break time also
    (whether the check box for scheduling with breaks) is included.
    Check and revert back.

  • Scheduled data acquisition

    hello
    every body
    my task is scheduled data acquisition. which is the efficient method to do that,
    for example
    i want to start the acqusition in the morning 9.pm and finish at 10.30 p.m and save the data in a file and wait for next acquistion it starts at 11.p.m and end at 12.30 p.m . like that i want to do.where the start time and end time i will give in a data file ok.
    by continously watching the system clock i can  do but . can u give some efficent method of doing that.

    First, a couple of questions.
    Are you running on a windows platform
    Are you building an EXE?
    I am sorry I am late to respond, but I needed to test this before I recommended it.  If the answer to 1 is yes, you can use the windows task scheduler to launch your app and make your acquistion.  If the answer to 2 is NO, then your cmd line switches will need to be a -- instead of whatever you like.  You can read a file, if need be, to determine the length of the acquistion.  The biggest benefit to this approach, is that you can have the system run this task, even if you are not logged in!  Usually IT hates it when you leave domain computers logged in!  And best of all, NO system resources are spent, no background app is running, and consuming whatever resources are required.  Granted, there are not much given the suggested approach, but yet another app (one with a front panel open somewhere) running.  I do not know about you, but I try to minimize the number of processes running at any given time.  I have tested this, and even brought my computer out of hybernation and sleep modes to run the app!  That is fantastic.  I hope this helps.

  • Anyone worked on Value Mapping Replication for Mass Data

    hi all,
    Is there any one who worked on <b>Value Mapping Replication for Mass Data</b> stuff.

  • Assignment Dates Do Not Match Task Dates

    I am the functional administrator for Project Server and Project Professional at my company. I have noticed on a few occasions that a Project Manager will set up a fixed duration task, and Project detemrines the start and end date. When he assigns a resource
    to the task, the assignment start date matches the task start date, but the end date is earlier, even though there are no constraints that explain the date chosen. Has anyone seen this?

    Hi,
    Not only have I seen this, I have an example I show in my courses - it is perfectly normal. Assignment "duration" (difference from start to finish) is calculated based on work and units.
    OTOH, you FORCE the task's duration by setting it fixed duration: Project will obey that, so the two values will MOSTLY (not just by accident or occasionally) be different so the end dte of the assignment will be different from the end date of the task.
    On the Gantt Chart you will see a TRAILING SPLIT appear.
    Fixed duration is simply not compatible with effort based scheduling!

  • SSM - although scheduled data from BW 7.0 is not imported to SSM

    Hello;
    We have completed all the steps to connect SSM and BI withouıt any problem however we face a problem about scheduling data import.
    We can import data by triggering the import data step manually using the SSM BI Connector user interface.
    We can also schedule the data import process however the jobs we cheduled do not work and do not import any data.
    Our SSM version is 7.5 on SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 sp6 , BW version is 7.01
    I would be glad if you share your comments and recommendations about our problem
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Bob,
    Thanx for the answer.
    We have checked the log file BICTRACE_SCHEDUPD_<pas/BW model name> under Server:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Strategy Management\ApplicationServer\home.
    The log was showing the date 29.08.2011 when the schedular worked ones. After that day, although no error reported, the schedular did not worked at all.
    We checked NetWeaver Schedule Administrator in CE as well. At "Tasks" section we can see our job named <Deneme_xxx> triggered via /strategy/bi "schedule jobs" with status "active". But when we switch to the "Jobs" segment, we recognize the job is not listed here even after the scheduled time has passed. So, it is not triggered at all, and trace file does not renewed.
    Your comments would be very appreciated,
    Best regards,
    Kadriye & Yusuf.

  • Scheduled date in preventive maintenance

    Hello ,
    A preventive maintenance order has been created by a maintenance plan using strategy (maintenance package) : task list has 3 operations , each has 1 hour of work duration.
    In the order, at operation level , in scheduled date , i do not have 1h of work duration but 1h06.
    For 1rst operation :"earliest scheduled start = 07:00:00" and "earliest scheduled finish = 08:06:00"
    2nd operation : "earliest scheduled start = 08:06:00" and "earliest scheduled finish = 09:12:00"
    3rd  operation : "earliest scheduled start = 09:12:00" and "earliest scheduled finish = 10:18:00"
    I checked work center, task list, ... but i can not see where it comes from....
    Someone has an idea?
    Thanks,
    Pete

    hi
    While defining the capacity for the workcenter ,i think you have defined the Length of the break ,system will also consider the same for scheduling .kindly check .which is be distributed evenly on the eintire working works
    supoose you have defined the capacity starts from 8.00 AM and ends on 17:00 hrs with 100% utilization ,length of the break is 1:00 hr
    then effective operating time is 8:00 hrs only remaining 1 hour will be distributed to the total available hours .Hence if you put 1 hr in the operation system will calculate the strat time as 8:00 AM and end time as 9:07:30 ie ( 1 hr/8 hrs =7.5min for each hour)

  • Delivery schedule dates are coming in Past dates

    Hi Friends,
    In the Scheduling Agreements the delivery schedule dates are coming in the past dates even tough the scheduling agreements are having new schedules. There is also open quantities there for the scheduling agreements.
    please kindly explain me what is the delivery schedule date in Scheduling Agreement.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kannan M

    Hi Khan,
    Just check this thease might be the reasons to get correct the delivery schedule.
    To access a delivery schedule, mark a scheduling agreement item and choose Goto ® Item ® .
    The following data is displayed in the delivery schedule tabstrip:
    ·        Delivery schedule number and date
    ·        A wide range of standard cumulative quantities
    ·        Delivery information
    To display deliveries for the delivery schedule, choose Deliveries on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
    In scheduling agreements involving external agents, the system displays deliveries made to the customer by external agents as consignment issues.
    ·        Correction delivery information
    To display or create correction deliveries, choose Corr. delivery on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
    ·        An analysis function
    ·        Information at a glance
    To display a summary of delivery schedule data, choose Short disp. on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
    ·        Schedule lines
    Choose DlvSch.Hdr on the delivery schedule tabstrip to access the delivery schedule header. The following data is displayed here:
    ·        Information on quantities received by the customer
    ·        Information on the customer fiscal year and cumulative quantities reset due to a year change
    ·        A wide range of cumulative go-ahead quantities
    ·        Notes on the delivery schedule
    Correcting Cumulative Delivered Quantities
    Prerequisites
    You correct cumulative quantities in scheduling agreements:
    ·        In case of returns
    ·        When there has been a processing error
    ·        When there has been a year change
    ·        When you are transferring initial quantities from a legacy system into the SAP System
    To do this, you create a correction delivery within the delivery schedule itself. This delivery is not relevant for requirements planning, shipping, goods issue, or billing.
    Correct cumulative quantities only when the customer has not posted goods receipt.
    Procedure
    To create a correction delivery (document type LFKO):
           1.      Choose Corr. delivery on the delivery scheduletabstrip.
    The system displays a dialog box in which you enter a:
    -         Correction delivery date
    For help on deciding where you want to position the correction delivery, choose Display. The system lists delivery dates in chronological order.
    -         Correction quantity
    Enter a negative correction quantity by placing a minus sign after the quantity.
           2.      Choose Enter and save the scheduling agreement.
    Result
    When you save the correction delivery, the system updates the cumulative quantities in the delivery schedule.
    To display correction deliveries, choose Deliveries on the delivery schedule tabstrip, or  Environment ®  Display document flow.
    Example
    Your customer returns 200 pieces of material from a delivery made on 7/10 because of damage during transport. Several other deliveries have been made before you prepare the correction delivery, so you view a list and choose an appropriate date. In this case you decide on 7/14 because it occurs after the delivery on 7/10 and before the delivery on 7/15.

  • Sales order item data & sales order schedule data

    Hello,
    I have a Sales Orders cube which is pulling data from two DSOs (one for sales order item data and the other for sales order schedule data). The common fields between these two DSOs is the Sales Order number but in my cube I have dual entries for each Sales Order document (item and schedule info).
    Example of how the data looks now:
    Sales Order . . Item Cat. . . Article . . . Net Price . . . Delivery . . . Act GI Date
    1. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . ABC123. . . .10
    1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .1 . . . . . . . . 01/01/2000
    2. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . CBA321. . . .15
    2. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .2 . . . . . . . . 01/02/2000
    How do I merge the data on the Sales Order number in the cube so it looks like below?
    Sales Order . . Item Cat. . . Article . . . Net Price . . . Delivery . . . Act GI Date
    1. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . ABC123. . . .10 . . . . . . . . . .1 . . . . . . . . 01/01/2000
    2. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . CBA321. . . .15 . . . . . . . . . .2 . . . . . . . . 01/02/2000
    Many thanks,
    Matt

    Two previous remarks:
    1) If you need to report on very detailed data consider doing an info-set joining both datastores. 2 reasons why:
    - not a good idea to report on very detailed information (sales order, GI dates) on cube level, if you have a scenario with lots of data. You end up with big dimension tables a poor report times;
    - there are better alternatives, like drill-through from cube query to DS query with report to report interface or Datastore-based reporting...so...
    With this solution you do not need to change the data model, I think, but test to be sure. See if the reporting times are acceptable. If not...
    2) First confirm your requirements, because what you show in your example as "to-be" have details that do not make sense, probably..
    - if you have more that one schedule line for each item then you would have many times the item information like material/price;
    - if not or if you could cope with that, then you can consider:
    2.1) create a new DS that agregattes from the previous on, with the same key of sales order item; do you have schedule line kf's? if so you these KF's should be additive in DS update; But if you may have more one scheduled line for 1 item then you have to decide what to do with the GI data (keep the last one posted, use code..) and other characteristics.
    2.2) update the shedule line datasource to the sales order item DS; same comments apply.
    2.3) maintain the missing data in the cube update rules from sheduled lines DS. Using code, refer to the respective item in the order item ODS. You would have to make sure that DS's data are correctly activated before updating the infocube.
    What solutions to choose?
    2.1 is better in terms of flexibility and architecture...because you could re-arrange the new DS to answer future needs, without loosing the 1st line DS's data;
    2.2 choose if data volumes and disk space are a concern...
    or
    2.3 it's OK, but i do not like it because of what explained in point 1...

  • Sales order schedule dates

    Hai,
         I have created a sales order, whenever we created a SO it displays possible delivery dates, we enter that possible delivery date in delivery creation, I want to know where those schedule dates are getting stored when we save a sales order. I have seen for those in VBAK and VBAP tables but i havent found those schedule lines can anybody say where these dates are getting saved
                                                                                    Thank you in advance
                                                        Srinivas

    When the order quantity is available as on the delivery date and confirmed then there will be only one schedule line created. If stock is not available then as delivery date the confirmed quantity will be 0 and another schedule line will be created as on material availability date where the order quantity will be confirmed.
    Its not necessary that there are only one or two schedule lines...but there can be more than two also.

    GSL.

  • Sales order schedule date is a (working) day before Scheduled ship date

    In MRP/MPS planning, the forecast consumption is occuring for all sales orders at a date (sales order schedule date) which is always a working day before the Scheduled Ship Date (SSD). What is the logic?
    Time fences are not used.
    E.g. Sales order is scheduled to ship (SSD) on 30th Nov, in forecast set > Forecast items > Consumptiion > Detail, the sales order schedule date is a day before SSD.

    Hi,
    This is a complex issue; best solution is by using APO/GATP.
    If not, then in ERP only, the second best is:
    1) Work with assembly processing in SO, meaning that a production/planned order is automatically created in the customer order during order creation.
    2) Then, after the order is created it is scheduled, and the delivery date proposal is based on that.
    3) Now you can check in the order that there are no capacity overloads, and all capacity required to produce on the proposed date is available. If yes, you're done. If not, it gets a bit complex, since you actualy need to switch to capacity planning, do capacity leveling and dispatch (PP), and the you get a new feasible schedule proposal based on that.
    APO/GATP could do all that automatically!

  • Basic date is not same with schedule dates

    Hi,
    I have a problem in MD04 stock requirement list.
    Planned order basic date and schedule date is not the same.
    The schedule date finish at year 2010 but basic date still end ad 2009
    in MD04, the date display is basic date.
    Why the basic date is not adjusted?
    in configuration i had choosen adjust basic date in scheduling planned order.
    In material master in house production time is not updated because we use lead time scheduling
    Please kindly help
    Best regards,
    Freddy Ha

    Hi,
    i omit the scheduling maergin key in material master,
    the result of MRP is
    BASIC DATES
    Finish 15.10.2009
    Start 14.10.2009
    PRODUCTION DATES
    15.02.2010 14:33:25
    14.10.2009 07:00:00
    scheduling type i planned order is still "backwards"
    so in MD04 it is say that the goods is available at 15.10.2009 same with requirement dates.
    this seem not right.
    it seems that order finish date is not adjusted by lead time scheduling on "today scheduling".
    Is there a way so order finish date is adjusted by lead time scheduling on "today scheduling" ????
    Best regards,

  • Error while scheduling data in QA

    Hi Experts,
                I am having this problem while Scheduling data in QA. I tried activating Infosource in se38 with program rs_transtru_activate_all but still i am getting the below error, can anyone let me know why is this happening....
    Diagnosis
    DataSource ZFAB_BILLINGCALC does not have the same status as the source
    system in the Business Information Warehouse.
    The time stamp in the source system is 10/06/2006 09:33:40 .
    The time stamp in the BW system is 08/09/2006 15:52:25 .
    System response
    The load process has been terminated.
    Procedure
    Copy the DataSource again and then activate the transfer rules that
    belong to it. You have to activate the transfer rules in every case,
    even if they are still active after the DataSource has been copied.

    Kris,
    I also got the similar error (time stamp)
    Try this.
    Replicate data source
    Activate transfer structure in source system. For this
    you navigate from source system tab---> your data source --> context menu --> display data source in source and then come back. It will activate the transfer structure in source. ( I dont know exact procedure but this worked for me many times)
    I  think this is sufficient.
    If this not works include this step also Use the program for activating transfer structure in BW.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to update flex field data on a human task?

    After entering a human task and assigning the data how do you then update flex field data whilst the task is still assigned. I'm using the task services to communicate with the task and applying filters based on the flex field data.
    I want to update the data when actions take place on the task e.g. suspend, aquire, release.
    Any ideas?

    You can fetch the task , change the flex attribute value and update the task. Find below the steps we do for updating one of the TextAttribute
    Task completeTask =  // get the task using task query service
    completeTask.getSystemMessageAttributes().setTextAttribute2(updatedfolderName);
    completeTask = // update the task using "updateTask" method
