Sales order schedule date is a (working) day before Scheduled ship date

In MRP/MPS planning, the forecast consumption is occuring for all sales orders at a date (sales order schedule date) which is always a working day before the Scheduled Ship Date (SSD). What is the logic?
Time fences are not used.
E.g. Sales order is scheduled to ship (SSD) on 30th Nov, in forecast set > Forecast items > Consumptiion > Detail, the sales order schedule date is a day before SSD.

Hi,
This is a complex issue; best solution is by using APO/GATP.
If not, then in ERP only, the second best is:
1) Work with assembly processing in SO, meaning that a production/planned order is automatically created in the customer order during order creation.
2) Then, after the order is created it is scheduled, and the delivery date proposal is based on that.
3) Now you can check in the order that there are no capacity overloads, and all capacity required to produce on the proposed date is available. If yes, you're done. If not, it gets a bit complex, since you actualy need to switch to capacity planning, do capacity leveling and dispatch (PP), and the you get a new feasible schedule proposal based on that.
APO/GATP could do all that automatically!

  • Sales Order confirmed date in work days

Is there a way to change configuration so a Saler Order will confirm based on the Factory Calendar??
I created a new Order Type (VOV8) but see no option to change from calendar days to work days.
Bascially, I need the sales order confirmation date to be based on work days and not calendar days.
    Is this possible???

    Hi,
Sales Order is created for particular Sales Area i.e. SO + DC + Div. And Sales Org. is the highest org unit in SD.
At Sales Organizational level you maintain Sales Org calendar and not factory calendar.
Factory Calendar is basically used at plant level which comes under MM module.
So, by SAP std practice i dont think it will be possible..............
Or you can do one thing that is,........maintain the same sales org calendar as factory calendar..........so i think it will help you....
But can you elaborate you point so that we can understand properly.............

In my material in mrp2 view i selected proceument type as F and i gave planned delivery  time as 19 days and GR processing days as 1 . suppose if i am putting sales order as on today 9-6-2010 it should show material avaialbity date as

  • Sales order item data & sales order schedule data

    Hello,
I have a Sales Orders cube which is pulling data from two DSOs (one for sales order item data and the other for sales order schedule data). The common fields between these two DSOs is the Sales Order number but in my cube I have dual entries for each Sales Order document (item and schedule info).
Example of how the data looks now:
    Sales Order . . Item Cat. . . Article . . . Net Price . . . Delivery . . . Act GI Date
    1. . . . . . . . . ...TAN. . . . . ABC123. . . .10

How do I merge the data on the Sales Order number in the cube so it looks like below?
    Sales Order . . Item Cat. . . Article . . . Net Price . . . Delivery . . . Act GI Date

    Two previous remarks:
    1) If you need to report on very detailed data consider doing an info-set joining both datastores. 2 reasons why:
    - not a good idea to report on very detailed information (sales order, GI dates) on cube level, if you have a scenario with lots of data. You end up with big dimension tables a poor report times;
    - there are better alternatives, like drill-through from cube query to DS query with report to report interface or Datastore-based reporting...so...
With this solution you do not need to change the data model, I think, but test to be sure. See if the reporting times are acceptable. If not...
    2) First confirm your requirements, because what you show in your example as "to-be" have details that do not make sense, probably..
    - if you have more that one schedule line for each item then you would have many times the item information like material/price;
    - if not or if you could cope with that, then you can consider:
2.1) create a new DS that agregattes from the previous on, with the same key of sales order item; do you have schedule line kf's? if so you these KF's should be additive in DS update; But if you may have more one scheduled line for 1 item then you have to decide what to do with the GI data (keep the last one posted, use code..) and other characteristics.
2.2) update the shedule line datasource to the sales order item DS; same comments apply.
2.3) maintain the missing data in the cube update rules from sheduled lines DS. Using code, refer to the respective item in the order item ODS. You would have to make sure that DS's data are correctly activated before updating the infocube.
    What solutions to choose?
    2.1 is better in terms of flexibility and architecture...because you could re-arrange the new DS to answer future needs, without loosing the 1st line DS's data;
2.2 choose if data volumes and disk space are a concern...
    or
2.3 it's OK, but i do not like it because of what explained in point 1...

    Hi Matt,
Its no possible If you are maintaining data at Order Level.
Try to introduce one more ODS/DSO in between ODS's and CUBE by keeping Sales Order only key field. Load data from both DSO's in required fields only. Then PUSH delta to CUBE. In this why you can maintain 1 record. Try to compress cube(with delete Zero Record Rows) to delete unnessasary records.
    Hope it Helps

  • Difference between sales order schedule line and item level data

    Hi All,
Could you please let me know what is the difference between sales order schedule line and item level data?
    Thanks,
    Ramya

    Hi Ramya,
Sales order schedule line contains del date, order qty, rounded qty, confirmed qty, delivery qty, schedule line category, purchase requisition etc.,  ie It contains the full details of sales order data with respect to the scheduled line of delivery.  The total quantity of a sales order item can be subdivided into schedule lines that contain the various subsets with the corresponding delivering dates.
Sales order Item level data contains details of the item in the sales order like material code, net price, net value, UoM, PO details, reason for rejection if any, material group, billing date, plant etc., ie this
contains the full details of item irrespective of scheduled line.

  • Sales order availaibility date one day in past

    Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue in SNP planning book / Product view wherein Sales order availability date is one day in past (say, date in ECC 01.04.2015 00:00 hrs --> date in APO 31.03.2015 23:00 hrs). This only happens for plants where DST is maintained. DST ends in March, and this issue is popping up for the sales orders in the subsequent month, i.e. April. The same error is also present in the next month of the DST starting month. The issue is not present in any other months.
I guess this is due to some inconsistencies that has arisen in APO. I saw a previous thread, http://scn.sap.com/thread/1816822, but it has ended without any solution.
Note, we are not using GATP.
    Thanks in Anticipation.
    Regards,
    Biplab

    Hi All,
The issue is found to be because of application of note 198411 in ECC. Amongst others, variable DST has been introduced for time zone AUSWA (table TTZDV). But, Western Australia does not follow DST after 2008-09.
Have any of you faced similar issue post the latest version of note 198411 (released on 9-Jul-2014)?

  • Sale Order Delivery Date

    Hi expert
We have recently found wrong calender was assigned to our shipping points. We therefore changed it to correct one.
However, after this, Sales orders that created on Saturday are getting Delivery Date as of Monday only and in VL01N we are unable to due PGI on Saturday (For any sales order, even created on any other day)
    Few finding are -
    1. Factory Calender IN used as correct calender. Earlier Shipping Points was using 01 calender.
    2. For IN calenders Saturday and Sundays are marked as working days.
    3. Although Routes are difined and assinged with Calender IN, Route Schduleing is not active.
    4. For other days, when a sales order getting creating only one schedule line get created and confirm qty appear at that line only. However for order created on Saturday, two schdule line come up. In one line NO confrim Qty and in next one it shows confirm qty.
    5. No Pick/Pack timing is defined in OVLZ
Please let me know how to slove this issue
    - Sunil

    Thanks all
    Issue resovled by self.
In Shipping Point - Working Hours (OVLZ) working time was maintained as Shift 1, which appearently not having SAT / SUN maintined.
Here 'Working Times' if maintianed then system consider the shift for calculating delivery date.
(Pl. read F1 of 'Working Times')
If only factory calender entry maintiain, shipping point considered open 24 hrs.
    Thanks

  • Strategy 81 -sales order scheduling

    Hi guys,
I'm planning a finished goods FG with strategy 81 (dynamic assemblies with ATP check on components ) but the availability check in the sales order does not createthe schedule line as I expect.
In the first level of the BOM I've only a component C (planned with strategy 70).
I insert a monthly production plan (PIR) for component C,
the MRP reacts with planned orders for component C.
Oct 2008 100 pcs PIR-100 pcs plan. ord
    Nov 2008 100 pcs-100 pcs plan. ord
    Dec 2008 100 pcs--100 pcs plan. ord
    Jan 2009 100 pcs-100 pcs plan. ord
If I insert a sales order line for 300 pcs for FG , SAP
creates 2 "assembly" planned orders for FG
( and  "consume" correctly the PIRs) and propose as confirmed qty/date :
100 pcs in October (assembly lead time is 0)
    200 pcs in December
This in my opinion is not correct, I expect that SAP propose to me
    3 schedule lines.
    Oct 2008 100 pcs
    Nov 2008 100 pcs
    Dec 2008 100 pcs
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Francesco

    Hi Michael
I have done the basic setup (activating the basic functions) settings for sales order scheduling in ECC and TM.But i am facing issues at the time of sales order scheduling.
1.I have maintained the control key config with SOS active
2.Delivery & transportation sch is active for my sales document type
3.In my shipping point i have maintained the pick/pack time & loading time in days as 1 day each
Now when i run the SOS in ECC it returns a error message that no MBDAT can be  determnied, error in TM.
On  the contrary if i define a working hours for my shipping point and maintain the pick/pack time & loading time in HOURS  as ex. 1 hour each(basically maintaining precise scheduling in ECC) then the system runs fine.
More over i want to make another imp note that i am having direct FO creation from my OBTR. I have also implemented the note 1659577 for this which basicallt considers the FO dates as well in case no FUs are created but it doesnt work.
Request your inputs on the same.
    Thanks

  • SALES ORDER SCHEDULING IN APO

    Hello everybody there,
I am doing availability check in APO (SCM 5.0)
Sales Order creation date : 20.01.08
    Requested Delivery date :28.01.08
Transportation Lead (LEAD condition type in scheduling- APO ) time maintained : 3 days
    MBDAT : 25.01.08
On 26.01.08, if customer change the RDD to 27.01.08, system pushed the delivery date by 3 days i.e 29.01.08 ( 26.01.08+ 3 days)
Although there is sufficient receipt available for the material , system is not giving Delivery date 27.01.08 , it gives 29.01.08.
As the order was booked on 20.01.08 , client has already planned for transportation ( i.e arranging truck and forward agent etc.) but system is again chaNging the delivery date based on the transportation planning date ( LEAD) assuming that user will take 3 days for transportation planning.
Assumption : No chk Horizon maintained
              No Transit time
In the above scenario , is it possible to get the Delivery date 27.01.08 or the original one 28.01.08 with any setting in R/3 or APO ? In my case after changing the date , system triggers the ATP automatically ( expected also) and schedule the sales order from the begining i.e changing MBDAT / GI date /Delivery date all.
Is it possible to retain the original delivery date or the pre-poned delivery date?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Look for the type of scheduling the system is using.
The system first tries back scheduling and if in back scheduling it calculates one of the entry point dates( like transportation planning date or MADAT) the system automatically puts this date to current date and shift the scheduling direction to forward scheduling automatically.
This can lead to moving the other dates in to future.
Check if its calculating any such dates to lie in the past.
I guess your transport planning date/MADAT falls in the past. So its moving that particular date  to current date and starts forward scheduling again. Thats the reason why your delivery date is moving to future date further by 2 days.

  • Interesting and an  imporatant issue at sales order schedule line.

    hi all,
interesting and an  imporatant issue at sales order schedule line.
i created a sales order with 10 qty.and the system proposed a two schedule lines.
let's say to order created date is 27.11.2008.and the requested delivery date is 27.11.2008.
but the stock is not available today then the system proposed two more schedule lines apart from the 27.11.2008.so now there are three schedule lines like below.
schedule line date                      Material availabilyt date   delivery date
    27.10.2008 with zero quantity.
    28.10.2008 with 5 qty.                28.10.2008                     29.10.2008
    02.10.2008 with 5 qty.                02.10.2008                     03.10.2008
now the delivery and pgi already for the schedule line 28.10.2008.
then when i run the availability check on 01.11.2008 system is over writing the material vailability date as today at the scheduleline number two.
now i can able to view only two schedule lines only.
schedule line date                      Material availabilyt date   delivery date
    28.10.2008 with 5 qty.                01.11.2008                     29.10.2008
    02.10.2008 with 5 qty.                01.11.2008                     02.11.2008
now my concern when we reschedule the avalability check it should notchange the Material availability date of the schedule line which i already delivered.

  • Sales orders flow - dates difference

    Dear All,
I need to build a model for a report which needs to have the days difference between the sales order creation date, delivery date, goods issue date  and billing date. The lowest level of detail should be the Sales Order/Item and one Sales Order/Item can origin different Delivery Items.
Base on this, i'm wondering how can i model this scenario...
    Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Nuno

    Hi,
I need to build a model for a report which needs to have the days difference between the
    Sales order creation date,
    Delivery date,
    Goods issue date ,
    Billing date.
In your question you didn't mension what differences you need
    Eg:
Sales order creation date - Delivery date
Goods issue date - Billing date
Sales order creation date - Billing date
Delivery date - Goods issue date
    Like what combination you need?.
    Steps:
Bring all InfoObejcts into Cube and once youn have all required InfoObecjts in your cube then in reporting level you can play like any thing. So first bring all Dates data into Cube. Use 0SD_C03 InfoCube with relavent datasources.
Then Use Formula Variables with Replacement pathes and then do simple Substractions at reporting level. Your problem is resolved.
See the below Article how I'm calculating Age of teh Material. Here I'm using Custome Exit Variable to get teh System Data, but in your case you don't need it, you just use Formula Variable with Replcemet Path and replace with Date and then do Substartion.

  • Sales Order Schedule line not populating in the Production order

Queation: Is there a way to tell the system to look at the sales order, line item AND schedule line. It is displayed in MD04 but it doesn't carry over to the Production Order. We are a MTO and this information is relevant in a number of ways.
    Please Help.

    Vickie,
If you are using MTO scenario then when you run the MRP for the material, it will create a planned order for that sales order based on the dates calculated from the sales order schedule line (Shipping tab)...
So now when you convert the planned order to production order, all the sales order details will get copied.
    try and revert back.

  • Creating Outbound deliveries based on the sales order schedule lines

    Dear all.
Is it possible to create outbound delivery documents based on the sales order schedule lines?
    Eg:
Let's say I have sales order line item 10 with below mentioned requested delivery dates in its schedule line level.
    30.07.2009
    10.08.2009
    20.08.2009
    30.08.2009
Will it possible for me to create different deliveries for those 4 schedule lines individually? I should be able to create 10.08.2009 delivery without clubbing 30.07.2009 delivery with it.
    Appreciate your help!

I'm not sure because I'm not before SAP but try transaction VL10E that is to create delivery for schedule lines. I'm not sure what are the split criterias.
Please check OSS note 113411 tha has many OSS note reference in this subject.
