The trouble happens only when I reply to my own message from Pavel Senatorov <[email protected]> instead of original Pavel Senatorov <[email protected]>. Tried to fix it by adding Pavel Senatorov <[email protected]> indentity yet it does not work.

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Now close Safari. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Safari app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Lastly, reboot the iPad. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Try Safari again and see if it's fixed.

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
*In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

• HT5312 What if it does not come up with the option to reset and you do have a rescue email address?

On my account, when i select manage acount and go to password and security it does not come up with the option reset security questions and answers. Therefore i have been searching whole websites for days and contacting itunes yet i have not been told a solution yet. How do i reset it?

You are sure that you have a rescue email address on your account and not just an alternate email address ? If it is a rescue address then you should be able to go tohttps://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If it's not a rescue email address then see if the instructions on this user tip helps :https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

• Group shows in contacts but does not populate to send?

Say I want to send or forward an email to a group-- it works fine from the desktop. Although the iPhone Contacts book shows all members correctly, so I guess they are syncing properly, and when I type the name into the Send To field it autofills the group name, it then informs me that this doesn't look like a valid email address and does not populate with group addresses.
I see a number of folks have had similar questions but I'm not seeing an answer. IS there one? (iPhone 4, latest OS)

the hd of the macbook shows both the old itunes folder (4123 songs, 25 GB) AND the new itunes folder (all songs, same size)
both? on the new MB? where are these located?
Your iTunes folder should be in the SAME relative position on the new Mac as on the old. If not, then try copying it to that place (e.g. ~user/Music/), then relaunch iTunes with the option key held down, and when asked to Choose Library.., point it to your iTunes folder. (iTunes needs a Library file pointing to a Music folder in order to display and play your music.)

• Connecting to Time Capsule via ethernet but my computer does not have an IP address

I'm connected to internet w/Airport TC.
I want to connect via ethernet for fast and stable backup. When I connect the ethernet cable what I see is "The cable for Ethernet is connected, but your computer does not have an IP address". I don't want to mess up with my connection. What should I do?

Thanks for your response Bob, I found a way to resolve my issue.
I'm connecting to internet via wireless modem. TC is connected to that wireless modem via wired ethernet connection and functions as a router - I guess - so our Apple devices connect to the network.
I had disabled WiFi earlier, since I wanted to connect to TC via ethernet. I realized I somehow needed to have the connection re-enabled WiFi but change the connection order, so ethernet is at the top of the list.
It might have been some other things I did, like trying to imitate config samples I found on the net by typing 255.255.255.0 and 192.something.something.0...etc.
Not sure exactly what made it work, but eventually, I believe I managed to connect and transfer many gigs of data over to TC with ethernet but it still took soooooo long.
Thanks,
Vanmoose

• Server does not recognize my email address

when i try to email something i get an error message that says the server does not accept my email address
?? any ideas

Was this group email successfully sent by your .Mac
account?
No; that was the first time I received the error message.
How many recipients were included with this group
mailing?
30+
Do you send a number of messages to a large number of
recipients on a daily basis with your .Mac account?
No; I do periodically, maybe 3-4 times a year to announce major changes with firm. Emails have worked in the past but possible I did them from my road runner account.
As with most other email accounts, .Mac has a sending
limit on the total number of recipients per message
and the total number of recipients for all messages
sent in a 24 hour period.
You ISP at home is RoadRunner but you use a different
ISP at the shared office?
Yes; trying to find out who it is.
If you are also accessing your RR email account with
the Mail.app and RR is not your ISP at the shared
office, are you able to send messages with your RR
email account and SMTP server when connected to the
internet at the shared office?
I access the RR email via the RR website, not via the Mail App.

possible causes of this problem.

• AirPort does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the Internet.

Wi Fi problems
I have recently changed from a old netgear router to using a vigor 120 modem with airport extreme
Internet connection is established but my airport express reports "AirPort does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the Internet." although status is ON and the correct wifi address appears.
My iPhone also identifies the correct network but cannot connect
Any suggestions?

I don't have any phones, so not aware of the options, but on a Mac to fix this problem it'd likely be...
Instead of joining it from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed. Before I went through network diagnostics and all of that stuff in system preferences, and then I tried the "Join Other Network" method, and now it works like a dream.
https://discussions.apple.com/message/17028445#17028445
Or...
Go to System Preferences
Click Network
Highlight AirPort and click Configure...
Choose “By default, join: Preferred networks”
Select your access point and Remove your access point with the minus button.
Launch your keychain access in Utilities and delete your access point keychain entry.

• EXCHANGE ACCOUNT ON MAC MAIL DOES NOT POPULATE SOMETIMES.  WHY??

Since installing Mountain Lion on our computers (2) my exchange account for email does not populate everytime.  Sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. Why does this happen?  If I reboot or close mail and reopen it sometimes will populate.  But not always???  Why?

Are you certain it is not a limitation with your SMTP-server? OR the receiving end of your larger-than-10MB message?
Try and send a big one to yourself. If it doesn't work, try a free SMTP server.

• AX does not hand out ip addresses in roaming mode

I am trying to set up roaming network in my house using a Airport Extreme as the main router and a ethernet connected (via Powerline HD) Airport Express on the second floor of my house. I followed the usual instructions to set up the Airport Express to create wireless network in bridge mode.  The Express allows clients to connect and accepts the password but does not hand out ip addresses. so the roaming device (an ipad and an Air) end up with self-assigned addresses in the 169.*.*.* range.
How do I correct this?
option click on the Air wifi symbol shows that its corrected to the correct wifi base station
Airport Utility sees both the main Extreme base station and the Express second floor base station, and neither reports any problems.
Thanks.

Actually, with the AirPort Express in bridge mode, the AirPort Extreme would be the router "handing out" the IP addresses as they would just be "passing through" the Express in this configuration.
Let's double-check your roaming network configuration, just to be sure nothing was missed.
Roaming Network Setup
Ref: See page 42 of the Apple AirPort Networks guide.
Setup the AirPort connected to the Internet to "Share a public IP address." Internet > Internet Connection > Connection Sharing: Share a public IP address
Setup the remaining AirPorts, as bridges. Internet > Internet Connection > Connection Sharing: Off (Bridge Mode) For each AEBSn in the roaming network:
For each base station:
Connect to the same subnet of the Ethernet network.
Provide a unique Base Station Name.
The Network Name (SSID) should be identical.
If using security, use the same security type (WEP, WPA, etc.) and password. Note: It is highly recommended that you use WPA2 Personal for best bandwidth performance.
Make sure that the channel is set at least three channels apart from the next base station to prevent Wi-Fi interference.

• Cluster does not populate in sub-vi unless front panel is opened

I have a sub-vi that saves my data to a database and the cluster
containing the data will not populate unless I open the front panel
when it executes.  What could possibly cause this?

It is the readings cluster that does not populate.  That is the input cluster for the vi.  When I run in the development environment the program saves correctly without opening "Save Readings.vi".  However after the complete program is compiled the data will not save unless "Save Readings.vi" is opened when it executes.  I have attached the missing vis

• Time Machine does not cope well with nearly-full disk

Although Time Machine is supposed to delete old backups when the disk fills up, under some circumstances it does not cope well with a disk-full condition.
Hardware: iMac (mid 2007)
OS: Mac OS X version 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
The other day I noticed that I had not had a successful Time Machine backup in over a day. Backups were taking a long time to run (4 hours or more), during which time the backup disk was chattering constantly and the disk showed "Estimating index time" in the Spotlight menu (even though I had excluded the disk from Spotlight indexing). When the disk finally stopped chattering, the backup finished with no visible errors but Time Machine continued to state that the last successful backup was yesterday. The backup disk was nearly full, but I had assumed that Time Machine was designed to cope with this situation by deleting old backups.
A complete annotated log file of the incident and my observations can be found here: http://bentopress.com/backup.log.zip
Here are some of the interesting entries from the system.log file:

Sep  7 16:26:15 Bento-iMac com.apple.backupd[56515]: Backup canceled.
Note the "error: 0". Error code zero normally indicates success.
There were also many, many, many copies of the following message, which occurred while Spotlight was trying to index the backup disk:
Sep  7 17:28:40 Bento-iMac com.apple.backupd[58064]: Waiting for index to be ready (100)
Here's what I think is happening: at the very end of the backup, after the files have been copied to the backup disk, mds resets indexing because the disk is now full. backupd's attempt to flush the index to disk then fails because indexing is suspended (error zero), so the backup is canceled. I suspect that this may occur when the new backup and the old one(s) being deleted are both small enough that the disk "packs" tightly, leaving no room for the index. If a large (>500MB) old backup had been deleted to make room for a small (<100MB) new one, the problem would not have occurred.
I worked around the problem by switching Time Machine from the full disk to my Time Capsule. (I did not have this system backing up to the Time Capsule originally because I purchased the Time Capsule later for a different system.) The downside of this is that I lost access to older backups (though they are still accessible by right-clicking on Time Machine in the dock and selecting "Browse other Time Machine disks..."—however, I have not actually tried this). I'm also not completely happy having both my main systems backing up to the same hardware, but everything seems to be working well at this point and I do have a secondary backup system, using SuperDuper to clone the systems' disks to an external HD, which I do about once a month.
Although I have worked around the problem, I am posting this in the hope that it will be useful to someone else, in the hope that someone at Apple will notice and perhaps improve the performance of Time Machine in this situation, and also in the hope that someone can suggest a solution that does not involve throwing a bigger disk at the problem. Is there any way to free up space on Time Machine's backup disk, for example by manually pruning older backups, either through Time Machine itself or via the Finder or command line?

If you suspect that the disk being full is the problem, have you tried deleting some of the old backup data on the TM disk?
When in TM, go back to the past a long way, right click on a file/directory and select "delete backup". Do this on some big files you have (so that you get more space per removal) that you change all the time (so you'll still have recent backups).

• Does not start up with last viewed Tabs even though chosen in options?

V 4.01 with Vista. Even after choosing the correct option in options>options>General FF does not start up with the last session of Tabs and Windows. It always opens with a single blank Tab. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Browsing History" if Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.
If you use CCleaner then make sure that Session is unchecked in the settings for the Firefox application.
