Reply to and attach file Automator script

Please help. I've been working on this for hours.
Automator has an action to reply to an email in outlook. But I want to use mail. I tried writing an applescript the created a reply message -- but when I run the action "add attachement to front message" it doesn't see the outgoing reply. It works fine if the message created is a new message -- but not on the reply message -- which is where I need it.
The other option I tried was to just create a new message from the text in the original mail. The problem with that, is mail wants to put my signature at the bottom and I get figure out how to move it to the top.
If anyone has a solution that follows either of these options --- or a wholly other option. I would love the help. I do this several times a day and I want it automated.

Thanks for the help rmgman. That actually does not work. Mail does not recognize the new message as a "quoted" reply so it doesn't pay any attention to that preference setting.
HOWEVER, after many hours I figured it out.
Basically...
1) Put in the txt I wanted as my signature (plain text only -- but I'll take it for now)
2) set that as a variable
3) found an applescript online that I altered to create all the text I needed. And compiles that into a new email that resembles a reply message.
4) get selected finder item
5) add to mail message.

How to add "Comments" and attach files onto a form?

My server is LiveCycle ES 2.5, trial version, Turnkey install / Express mode with Reader Extensions.
Client side has IE8 and Reader X 10.1.2.
User interface is the standard out-of-the-box WorkSpace ES.
I have an application that routes a PDF form through a Workflow,
the input/output of the User Tasks is a Document variable that points to the PDF form.
I know that in the WorkSpace, ther's a built-in Attachment "tab" where the user can attach files and get them routed along with the form.
But how about Reader's "attach file" (the paper clip) and annotations (the yellow sticker)? how to allow users to use those features?
I tried it in the WorkSpace, and when the form is loaded in the IE window, those features were disabled.
How to enable them?
Do I need to modify the standard Render service? and add 'Apply Usgae Rights' or something?
is there an easier way that I missed?

Attachments are lost if your form submits as XDP. If you change the submit type to PDF then server that same PDF back to the next user, the attachments will be there. Upload and Attach file to Service Notificacion through Web Dynpro

Hi,
I need to upload and attach a file (Word, PDF, TXT ...) to Service Notificacion (TX - IW53) through Web Dynpro.
I have used the integration component "File Upload" to obtain the "fileName" atribute. Also, I have used the functions SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD, SO_INSERT_OBJECT and BINARY_RELATION_CREATE_COMMIT.
But have a problem, because the function SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD use the class "cl _ gui _ frontend _ services" and that clash with Web Dynpro.
My question is: how could I resolve that problem?

How to send JMS Message with use title, content, and attach file

I use OpenJMS server such as Message server
and use Tomcat 4.0 as web server.
I want to use JMS to send Message that message have
title, content, and can attach file.

You probably wanna use SOAP. SOAP is based on XML, it has a soapheader (can have the title) the soapbody (has your actual message) and it can also have files attached.

Photos, graphics and attached files with emailsI

I have the following problem with emails containing photos or graphics or when loading attached files : Half of the time, I cant see photos or graphics, I have empty frames. Loading attached files will never start and stay at 0 % I have set to load pictures. But even with the parameter set to "do not load picture " and using the " loading photos " button it s the same : not always working. Do you have it too? I have also the "retreiving... " message when I want to read mail. Thank you.

Am I the only one to have this issue ?
If someone could answer me : form time to time (half of the time...) I can't see photos or graphivs in my mails, I just have an empty frame...

Report by email with whole report as body and attached file

I try to send my Reports by mail and have to attach a file to the report.
But this filename is't a static one. Is there a work-around to attach a dynamic file to my e-mail.

Uploading and attaching files problem

Dear all,
Since a couple of weeks, I can not attach anything to a mail nor upload any image or file on any website (facebook, fileshare etc.).
The finder always freezes (no matter if it's Mail, Safari, Chrome or etc.) and I have to start the app again. I don't know where the issue comes from and I would appreciate any help on this matter.
I'm under OS X 10.9.2. (Macbook air 13")

Historically, if you wanted to send a UNIX folder via email, you would compress it into a foo.zip file. Apple understood this with Pages ’09 v4.n, when it took a Package (folder), compressed it, and renamed the .zip extension to .pages. All automatically, with general email and filesharing compatibility.
Along comes Pages v5+, with a totally new document architecture that is incompatible with prior Pages versions. To the Finder, it too looks like a file due to Package magic — and yet, in its natural state, is an uncompressed folder. To get this to play nice with Gmail webmail, and non-Apple filesharing services, you have to compress this document (folder) yourself before mail attachment, or placing on your preferred filesharing service. This is achieved by right-clicking the document icon, and choosing compress, which produces foo.pages.zip.
The other work-around is to simply not use Pages v5+, and resume using Pages ’09 v4.3. If you had Pages ’09 v4.3 previously installed, the new Pages installation moved it into /Applications/iWorks ’09. The trick here is that you cannot double-click on a document to open it as Pages v5+ will try to open it. You wil need the right-click contextual menu and Open With... Pages (4.3).

SEND EMAIL WITH PO AND ATTACHMENT FILES

Hi,
I'm working with MySAP Enterprise 4.7 and I want to send the PO and its attachment vía e-mail, currently only the PO is being sent to the Vendor and the attachment only appears like texts into the "body" of PO. Is there some way to send e-mail with the PO and attachments at the same time??
I attached the document via DMS at position level.

Follow these steps
Basically there are two mail types: Internet mail (external mail) and
SAPOffice mail.
Mail is sent via the output determination in both cases.
If you use the external mail, the message for the purchasing document is
converted into a corresponding text file which is sent to the vendor via
the Internet.
SAPOffice mail is sent only within the R/3 System and has mainly the
function of providing information.
In particular, it is not possible to attach a message (form) for a
purchasing document to a SAPOffice mail.
When using external mail, the following basic settings are required:
1. You must maintain an e-mail address in the address in the vendor
master.
2. The same applies to your own user master. You also have to specify
an e-mail address there in order to identify the sender.
o Note that it is not possible to change the e-mail address of the endor
o You can use a temporary email address in Transaction ME21N.
3. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy
needs to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail.
You can find the definition of the communication strategy in the
Customizing via the following path: (SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Web
Application Server -> Basic Services -> Message Control -> Define
Communication Strategy). As a default, communication strategy CS01
is delivered. This already contains the necessary entry for the
external communication. Bear in mind that without a suitable
communication strategy it is not possible to communicate with a
partner via Medium 5 (external sending).
4. Use the standard SAP environment (program 'SAPFM06P', FORM routine
'ENTRY_NEU' and form 'MEDRUCK') as the processing routines.
5. In the condition records for the output type (for example,
Transaction MN04), use medium '5' (External send).
6. You can use Transaction SCOT to trigger the output manually. The
prerequisite for a correct sending is that the node is set
correctly. This is not described here, but it must have already been
carried out.
7. To be able to display, for example, the e-mail in Outlook, enter PDF
as the format in the node.
To use the SAPOffice mail, the following basic settings are required:
1. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy
needs to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail.
You can branch to the maintenance of the communication strategy via
the input help.
2. Use the SAP standard environment (program "RSNASTSO" and FORM
routine "SAPOFFICE_AUFRUF") as the processing routines.
3. In the condition records for the output type (for example,
Transaction MN04), use medium '7' (SAPOffice) and also partner role
'MP' (mail partner).

o If you want to send a purchase order as (external) mail, for
example, to a vendor, you have to maintain the mail title in the
condition record for the output type (for example in Transaction
MN05) on the 'Communication method' tab page. Enter the mail
title in the 'Text for cover page' field. You cannot maintain an
additional mail text.
o Note that the values from the mail title are used to create the
description for the attachment.
3. The replacement parameters must be enclosed by &. Example: You want
to enter the title 'PO number '. For this you have to enter
the following in the Document Title field (Message Customizing ->
sub-option: Mail title and texts) 'PO number &EKKO-EBELN&'

When I attempt to attach a file to Juno email, I get Adobe plugin crash about 50% of time. I can end firefox, restart juno and attach file will work on first attempt.

For later attach attempts, the plugin crashes. This has been ongoing problem for several months. About 3-4 months ago, there was a firefox update version that fixed this problem. However, it has occurred again for most recent 2 or 3 Firefox updates. I have changed Adobe setting dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to "-1" but this does not eliminate the problem. Please provide location for log files, crash reports, etc., that I might find and provide to developers for problem resolution. Thank you.

Anyone know how to read a crash report?
I can print with Lightroom, there is nothing wrong with the printer, or the file. But I want to print with Photoshop without a crash. Besides, Lightroom doesn't give me access to all of my print settings.

Best Practice/Standard for Securing and Attaching Files in a Web Service

Thanks in advance.
Being new to Web Services as well as most of my team. I would like to know what is the best practice for transporting files via a Web Service. I know of several methods and one that seems to be the standard, but you can't really tell in this ever changing world of Web Services. Below are the options that I have found.
1. MIME encoded the file and embed in the payload of the SOAP message
2. SwA (SOAP with Attachments) which applies MIME attachments to SOAP. I think this is similiar to the way emails are handled.
3. DIME (Direct Internet Message Encapsulation) similiar to MIME encoding but is more efficient
4. MTOM (Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism) I really not understand this method, but it seems that this is the NEW standard. I just don't understand why.
5. Utilize HTTPS and download the file from an accessible file server w/ a login id and password.
Is there someone out there that understands this problem and can assist me in understanding the pros and cons of these methods? Or maybe there is a method that I'm overlooking altogether.

Can I create an 'attach files' button in a pdf form?

Hello,
I'm working on a mac and want to create and 'attach files' option to my briefing form. Clients will access the form in reader, attache word documents then submit the form.
I have no javascript experience and am not too advanced with Acrobat so will need very basic instructions if it is possible.
