Report not getting the correct parameter

Hi,
I use Oracle 9i DS (patch 9.0.2.2). i pass the RDF name and the params on the command line to the rwclient.exe to run the report. Whenever I pass something like VVG='(1,2,3,4)', the report RDF gets the value as '1'. The report gets executed with this value. i have searched the net and help sites and files. please help me in solving my problem.

I am able to successfully pass the string '(1,2,3,4)' as the value of a text parameter in my report, using the following commandline on Windows 2000:
rwclient report=test.rdf destype=file desformat=pdf desname=test.pdf server=srivas testparam=(1,2,3,4)
Reports correctly interprets the parameter as it has been specified, even if quoted with single/double quotes. Please provide more information on the problem you are facing, and the platform you are running Reports on. Also, verify whether your problem is reproducing with the Reports Runtime (rwrun) also.

I have an unread mail in my Inbox and i have attached the source file to that mail... the server is picking up the file but in receiving side i am not getting the correct target file... i am getting the target file like:

eventhough if i dont have any unread mails in my inbox i am getting the same file at target side continuosly...so please give me the solution as early as possbile or else my folder will going to be overflow with that target file

Ravi,
Have to check the Transport Protocol used by internal Mail Server. The parametes you pass to the mail adapter should be same to the internal mail sever where you are trying to send and also check with XIPAYLOAD option.

JRockit_160_05_R27.6.2-20 can not get the correct os name for Windows Server 2008 SP1 using System.getProperty("os.name").
System.getProperty("os.name") will return Windows Vista instead of Windows Server 2008 when running on Windows Server 2008 SP1. Is it a bug of this jdk?
I tested it on Sun JDK 1.6. It returns the correct name Windows Server 2008.
Any suggestion will be welcomed. Thanks in advanced!

Officejet Pro 8500 A909g do not get the correct IP address from DHCP

Hi,
We reconfigured our network to use 172.16.11.xxxx
We assigned the IP addresses to our OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g printers by using DHCP reservations.
After joining the wireless network, all our printers have a 169.254.xxxx.xxx address.
What am I missing?

Is DHCP still active on your router? The printer will have to have DHCP active.
169.254.x.x means the printer sees the router but is not getting a valid IP from it.

Do not get the correct x axis

I need to have the correct x axis in order to get the right peak or max for a portion.
Basically, I need to have the same x axis with the one above for the left bottom graph.
Help me to modify my graphs. I haven't tried aligning the axis for such graphs in LV so far.

Hi Mike,
If I understand your question right, you are trying to set the x-axis of the Graph programmatically.
You should use Property Nodes for this purpose. Right-click on the Graph that you want to change and choose "Create > Property Node". On the Property Node, use the 'Operate' tool (the finger) and choose "X-scale > Range > All elements". By right clicking, choose to "Change to Write". Do the same for the graph that you want to copy the x-axis from, but choose to read instead. Then wire the two Property Nodes together, and when running, you will see the x-axis being updated (see te attached example).

Perhaps you mean the Sales Account defined in the item master?

I don't know what you mean with "Sales Order Account". I am not a financial specialist, but as far as I know OM does not do any accounting, just the other modules like inventory or AR. Inventory will do some "sales order issue" transaction on shipments which will get accounted (cost manager etc) and AR will generate accounts when the invoice gets created...
And pay attention to the above query, as there might be order lines where ship_from_org_id is null, e.g. bill-only orders.

Report not showing the correct layout when executed in Portal

We have created 5 different queries in different units of measure for a query. We have included these in a web template, and based on the UOM choosen , the WAD will pickup the queries and provides the desired results.we have executed the report in Portal and created a bookmark for it...but if a different unit of measure, the layout is changing. Is there any way to create a bookmark which will not change by changing the Unit of measure means a different query.

Probably you are having issues related to personalization of your queries or templates on your portal.
Check it, remove and test again.

hi my pblm is that i am adding some date to a databse..the code like this

Your format string is incorect. Lowercase m stands for minute. You need an uppercase M for month.
ie dd-MM-yyyy

PAYABLES NOT GETTING THE REPORT OUTPUT IN PDF AFTER APPLYING RUP5 R12

RDBMS:10.2.0.3.0
Oracle Apps :12.0.4
OS:AIX 5.3
Problem Description:
We are presently facing an issue in Payables not getting the report output in PDF esp for the reports "Invoice Register", Invoice Hold Report and also other reports. We were able to generate the reports till our last test performed on last Thursday. This instance was cloned over the last weekend and probably the new upgrade to RUP5 R12,would have impacted it.
Concurrent Programs submitted are completed normal but on clicking "view output" results in Blank PDF output.
The error message what was shown is as below:
"Adobe Reader could not open 'AcrC.tmp' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)".
Where could we locate ther above 'AcrC.tmp' of Adobe Reader..
could anyone please share such an experience encountered for resolution..

I suggest you speak to your DBA/sysadmin. This is not likely to be a reports problem.
Check that you can see the output from apps through the viewer (the report may not hav output anything)
Check whether you can print anything on that printer from apps.
May also be worth checking to see if you can print to another printer from this report.

I have a 2011 mini with usb connector when I attempt to connect my nano I get the message that I do not have the correct adapter cable. I got the correct adapter cable from the Mini dealer. Any suggestions?

I cannot get my Mini Cooper to sync up with my nano thru the USB port. When I hook up with the cable that came with the Nano, it acknowledges that it is an Ipod however it displays the message that I do not have the correct cable. When I use the audtio adapter cable from BMW it doesn't see the Nano at all. Has anyone else had the issue and what did you do to over come it I tried my nano in another persons car (a Ford) and it worked with no issue.

This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?

We have developed Z report for PR report and we ahve used ES and EN language, but when i select language ES and execute the report then we are not getting the Header and Item text data,
Secondly when We select language EN and execute the report then we are getting the Header and Item text details.
Please guide me.

Have you maintained Tetexxt in ES language or is it that you are expecting on selecting ES the text from En will get coverted to ES and display in your report?
