Report problem on sap client

i have two server in my network sql 2000 and sql 2005. on client system, in logon screen, in server field it showing name of sql 2005 server but in current server field, it showing only "1-mssql". i think it is sql 2000. how it will show mssql_2005.

Hi,
I had the same issue. In my server has 2000 and 2005 server. When I am trying to establish the connection, it used to connect to the SQL server 2000. Due to which dmp file is creating on regular basics.
In order to avoid this try to connect your system through IP address: 30000 or 30001.
Installation of SQl native client for the respective servers (SQL server 2005 u2013 Native client)
If you are not using sql server 2000 better to uninstall the server. This will solve your issue.

Senthil Maruthappan.

  • Problem with starting Crystal Report document from SAP Gui

    Dear all,
in Crystal Reports I created my first report (based on a BW query), which is executed successfully, when I run it directly from CR or from Infoview. The report is stored directly in BW and has been published successfulyl to BOE.
If I try to run it native from the SAP Gui, the following steps happen:
Internet Explorer is started with the following link:
    http://dtcmbbwp01.ctc.ch.rcc:1080/sap/bw/ce_url?(ce_protcl):(DS)(ce_server)/(ce_path_pr)/viewreport.csp(Q)bw_id=4I4B2HQG8KK2ICFPONVIG5D9Q&sap_sysid=(sysid)&sap_client=010&language=EN&sap-client=010
this link is transcoded to the following:
    http://dtcmbbwp01.ctc.ch.rcc:1080/sap/bw/=ce_protcl)%3a//MONHAMBO020.world.mon:8080%2fSAP%2fviewreport.csp(Q&sap_sysid=BWP&sap_client=010&language=EN&sap-client=010&sap-language=EN&cmsname=MONHAMBO020.world.mon
(I already entered /CRYSTAL/CL_BW_HTTP_HANDLER handler in the ce_url service)
and afterwards I get an error 404 -> corresponding service not available
which is obvious, as a service =ce_protcl is not existing at alkl.
If I then execute my CR document again from SAPGui (without closing the IE), the standard BOE login page for the infoview is displayed, but I get an error:
Account information not recognized: The credentials passed to secSAPR3 [] are invalid. Use the following format: sid~clnt/user
I can logon with my BW credentials, and afterwards I can see my CR document.
    Any idea, what went wrong?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Dear Ingo,
the basic installation of all BOE components was done by the SAP installation service and I checked several times your blog(s) and the corresponding parts on the BOE server and in BW. From my point of view we did all necessary configuration steps on BOE and BW (/CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN) which are necessary to setup the BOE software and the connections.
I checked again the HTTP handler and it still says:  /CRYSTAL/CL_BW_HTTP_HANDLER
I stopped and restarted the service, but with no effect at all -> I do not think that I need a restart of the server, right?
My user is as well existing on the BOE server and I can logon to the BOE with my SAP credentials.
I guess as well that the key to the success is the HTTP handler. The first link I provided is the link that is shown in IE, before I logged on to the BW server and I think this is correct, as the transcodification is done after(!) I logged on to the BW server.
A part of the transcodification is as well working, as I can see the replacement of my ce_server, sysid, etc. But it seems to me that the first part of the string is crap:
    http://dtcmbbwp01.ctc.ch.rcc:1080/sap/bw/=ce_protcl)%3a
    Any further ideas?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Andreas

  • Problem to run the Crystal report inside from SAP B1 based on SQL views.

    Hello,
I have a problem to run my Crystal report inside from SAP B1 which is based on SQL views. And the SQL views are stored in a separate database in SQL server. The error which i am getting is saying the the tablename does not exist. What i need to do in order to sort this problem.
Great if somebody can help me to sort out this so that i can run my report based on SQL views stored on separate database other than SAP databases inside from SAP B1.

Try using a SQL synonym in your company database for the views outside the company database. I don't know if SBO will let you get away with it, but its worth a shot.
If your company database is MyCompany and you have a view called MyView in Views database, assuming the view belongs to schema dbo, and you want the synonym to belong to dbo schema in your company database, run this:
    Use MyCompany
    go
    create synonym dbo.OutsiderView for
    Views.dbo.MyView
    go
    select * from OutsiderView
The select statement should return the contents of MyView in the Views database while you are connected to your MyCompany database.
For more info, see the Books Online for MSSQL on topic synonym.
You will need to change your CR options to include displaying synonyms along with tables, views, etc. You may also need to grant select to B1 users.

  • SAP Client login problem

    Hi All,

When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.

What are the remote program you are using ? is it VPN, Citrix or Terminal Service ?
SAP B1 supports only citrix or terminal service.

  • Crystal Report add-on SAP B1

    Hi Experts,
I have successfully installed Crystal report add-on on SAP B1 server, I can see the attached report in all modules on server as well as client machine, but when i tried to open any report on client machine, it is not opening but it is properly display on server.
Should i need to install crystal report runtime for all the client machine?
Pls. guide me for the same.
    Regards
    Kamlesh Vagal

    Hi dear,
Install the crystal report prerequisites on every client machine you want to show crystal reports.
    follow the below mentioned steps:
    1. The installation disk or folder will contain a single setup.exe
    2. Log on to the target PC as an administrator or admin type user (windows).
    3. copy the setup.exe to a convenient location on the target PC and run setup.exe
    4. Setup exe will install Crystal reports runtime (version 10), Microsoft runtime files and the add-on files. It is recommended that you keep the path selected by the installer. The default installation path for the Add-on files is C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\SAP_CR_CRYSTAL_1_10.
    5. Once the setup.exe has completed, log on to SAP as manager or any other superuser.
    6. Using Administration | Addons | add-On Administration, register the Crystal Add-On, set the desired settings and restart SAP.
    7. There is a known issue within SAP where with multiple add-ons starting automatically with a super user, SAP will shutdown as soon as the user logs on. If this issue occurs always log in through the choose company screen. SAP is aware of this issue and will be rectifying this in a patch.
    8. Log on to SAP, as a super user.
    9. Run Account setup from Administration | Crystal Reports Administration | Account setup
    10. Type in the sa password for the SQL server that holds SAP databases, and click Update.
    11. Click the u201CCreate Ext Tablesu201D button. Add-on will create the additional tables now (this process must be performed for each new SAP company once).
    12. THE TASKS 3 TO 5 and task 10 INCLUSIVE WILL NEED TO BE RUN ON ALL PCS THAT NEEDS THE CRSYTAL ADD-ON. 13. Crystal add-on is ready to use. A help file is provided and you may test the add-on with the sample reports found in u2026\ SAP_CR_CRYSTAL_1_10\SampleReports. The help file can be found in u2026\SAP_CR_CRYSTAL_1_10
    this will solve your problem.

  • Crystal report error in SAP

I have linked my first Crystal report into SAP (2007A), but when I try to run it I get an error.
Msg header "SAP Crystal AddOn"....Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms, Version = 12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I searched the SAP forums, but found nothing regarding this error. Anybody have an idea how to fix? I can't see my Crystal report.  Does the report need to be stored in a specific location for it to be called from SAP?  I was able to browse to it when I setup the link in SAP.

    Crystal Reports 2011
I configured all the integration and it works fine, i can log on the Infoview with SAP ID.
    I work with SAP R/3 4.6C
The problem is when i connect to the R/3, Crystal show me the system that i have in the saplogon.ini, and then i used a user that i have to test, whenn i tried to logon, an error occurs...
    Logon failed.
Details: You do not have the necessary rights to design reports against the SAP system. Please check with your system administrator.
And when i used the user sap*
    Logon failed.
Details: Name or password is incorrect. Please re-enter.
So... what do i need to pass that rights to my user??? or do i need to do some kind of customizing in the SAP R/3 system???

There is a specific set of authorizations that you need to provide to your SAP user to be able to create CR reports against SAP data source. Check in the "SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Integration for SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide" chapter 13 called "Authorization".
You can download this guide in the following URL: ht[http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000559912010E/xi31_sp3_bip_sap_inst_en.pdf|http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000559912010E/xi31_sp3_bip_sap_inst_en.pdf]

  • Detect SAP client

    Dear sirs,
I hope you can help me with this: I have few reports with output into MS Word using ABAP OLE. That works just fine with SAP GUI. The problem is the number of my users work with the web GUI. When using web GUI I cannot work with OLE (at least I think so, how could SAP establish a connection with word through the browser, right?).
I need to hide the "print it into Word" icons so the users don´t get the error every time they try in web GUI. Does anybody know how can I detect which SAP client/ frontend the users are working with?
    Thank you all, reagrds, Otto

    Hi Otto,
We can use the function module
    GUI_IS_ITS
If we are using GUI, it will return nothing, else if we are using browser/ITS then it will return X.
    Hope this helps.

  • SAP Client to the SAP Server: internal Error (-1102)[Message 131-183]

    Hi,
    We are using Windows 2008 Server R2, SQL 2008 Standard, SAP B1 8.81 PL08.
When we trying to connect SAP Client to the SAP Server. There has internal Error (-1102) occurred. We can view the database on client, but we always get the same error message after enter the User ID and Password. We have checked the native client and it is installed and also opened the following ports: 1433, 30000, 30001. We have tried to open all of firewall, but itu2019s no use.
When I set a computer in to the engine room and set the network connection, this one can connect SAP Client to the SAP Server.
But when client connect to server by VPN, the IP address will not in the same section. Then We tried to set the IP address has the same network section with the server, but it's still disable.
I set a computer for SAP Server without firewall, complex network, virtual IP and no router in my office. And use a SAP Client which is in different network domain to connect to SAP Server by internet, not VPN, but the SAP Client still canu2019t connect to SAP Server. I get the same internal Error (-1102).
It can not only ping to SAP Server IP, but telnet to the port 1433, 30000, 30001, 445.
When I use a pc with server tools, it can connect to the SAP Server by the localhost license. But if I use a computer only install client and assign the server license. The latter one always got the error.
How could we solve this problem? Is there has another setting I am missing which might be blocking the connection?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
We are using VPN and using Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop Conneciton.
The idea here is VPN will connect you to the network and when you are connected to the network
dont use the direct LAN IP connection use the Terminal Licensing to connect.
Again both are needed VPN and Terminal Licensing. VPN for the connection and if successfully connected
use or connect from Terminal Licensing or Remote Desktop connections.
    Thanks.

  • Crystal report problem

    Post Author: ranganadhkodali
    CA Forum: Authentication
    Dear Group Members,
I have a vary big problem with crystal report XI edition, I am
unable to find the cause of the problem actually.
I am using Crystal Report XI Developer version to build
reports in my development system, which I am, using SQL server 2005 as a
    backend database and u201CUn-Typedu201D Pull
model for generate reports, in that my system those are working very good.
For distribute those reports to the other clients, I was
prepared one small windows application in .net and I placed one shared
directory. Application will show all report files placed under the shared
    directory by the user selection.
If User selects one report, I am taking the selected report
from the shared directory and open with the .net embedded crystal report
viewer, while opening I was filling the
    server login information(By code itself).
Any way application also working very well in my development
system, for deploys this application I added crystal report redist package that
is came with the visual studio 2008.
When I run the same application, in deployed
system, it showing login database dialog with empty database name, and one more
thing is that database text box also showing like disable. So even I unable to
give database credential with in dialog. I donu2019t understood what is the cause
    of the problem?
Almost same problem was happen before 4 months back for some
other project, @ that time I rebuild my report with the PUSh model, and it
working well. But this case, I donu2019t have a chance to do like that, because daily
I should generate some kind of reports, needs of management. That management
staff will check reports from with that my distributed application. For these
all things, I canu2019t rebuild and redistribute my application every time if I add
new report. So that I placed one shared folder and, I keep update all changed
reports files in that shared folder, my application will show them.
What is the cause of the problem?
Is it problem with connection? Then it should not work with
    in my development system also
Then it probably problem with the deployment? Then I am able
to view the initial report, problem came only when I refresh the data?
If problems with deployment, then how it is works for push type reports, it giving problem
    for only pull type reports?

    Hi
While creating a report from BW SAP Query, I get the following error.
"An error occured while creating a report template. No error"
On opening the same query in BEx Analyser, i can see the fields and output.
    Help me on this issue.
    Thanks

    Hello Garett,
I've the same problem and have tried now to get the data with MDX-Query. The error message below appears:
'No RFC-authorization for function group  /Crystal/MDX for User ...'
So it seems to be a authorization problem. Which special authorization must be assigned to Crystal users in SAP BI?

  • Issue in the Reporting feature of SAP BPC NW 7.0

    Hi everyone,
I am facing an issue with respect to the Reporting feature in SAP BPC NW 7.0 version. I am supposed to generate a P&L report using the EVDRE function.
    Issue-
In the report that I have generated, the system is retrieving only a subset of the broad-level P&L heads. e.g. while BPC is retrieving the EBITDA, EBIT and PAT figures, it is not retrieving the Depreciation, Interest and Tax figures in the report. All the members that are not getting displayed are members with ACCTYPE= 'EXP', while the ones getting displayed are members with ACCTYPE= 'INC'.
Even though the 'EXP' figures are not getting displayed, the amounts are getting deducted correctly. (i.e. even though Interest amount is not getting displayed in the report, the PBT figure being displayed is correctly calculated as PBT= EBIT-Interest).
Also, I am able to see the amount in Interest payments, if I drill to the base-member elements (G/Ls in my case)
Would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on what might be the probable issue.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Nilanjan/All,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I suppose, I was not very clear about my problem. The issue is with regards to the value for the Account-dimension members with ACCTYPE = 'EXP' and not with the members per se.
Setting the MemberSet Filter addresses the issue of getting particular Dimension members in the report. In my case, I am already seeing all the necessary members in my report (I have explicitly created a list of all the members I want to see in my report in the MemberSet parameter). However, I am not able to see any values for these members for any of the time periods (even though the values exist).
Also, I don't get any values for some of the INC items as well (e.g. OperationsIncome) inspite of the fact that the base member G/Ls under this account hold values.
Would appreciate any help towards resolving this issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sameer
