Report  Query - PO dates-urgent!!

Hi Experts,
I want to know if there is any quicker way to get the validity dates from all the Open Purchase documents (Purchase Scheduling Agreements) Our requirement is: We want to populate all the validity dates for the following.
1) First we need to identify all the open PSA's (which should have open target qty or open Invoices)
2) PSA's (Purchase Scheduling Agreements) Header valid From and To dates
3) Souce list valid dates
4) Condition valid dates
Except for the first one, I can go into Tables EKKO, EORD & AO16 to get the dates but I am finding difficult to arrive at the open orders. Can you pls guide me if there is any easier way?
Regards,
Madan

Thanks for your replies. I think, the real solution for this problem is first to identify the open orders. Then it will be easy to go ahead using those PO's to arrive at Doc.Header data (EKKO) and condition dates (AO16) and Source list dates (EORD). To look for deleated or blocked items, EKPO would be helpful
Since only dates are required, we don't need to go further (ex:KONH, KONP, KONM/KONW.) We are also not bothered about Sch lines (EKET) or Pur order history (EKBE)
Inorder to arrive at open orders, I am thinking to use Field: AUTLF (Complete Delivery) in the table: EKKO. Do you think it is the correct one? We have thousand of orders to look into and if some did not got picked up, I'll be blamed, so I am worrying. From the standard ME3N report, by choosing Selection pattern 'M-OFFEN' would not help because of large data and difficult to export.
Your suggestions in this regard would be helpful.

Madan

  • Report Query - XML data source empty

    Hello!
    I built a report query, using the wizard, under Shared Components and when I test the query using bind variables I get the correct data, but as I click Apply Changes and get to the screen where it gives me the option to Download the data source for the report layout, the file is empty. I've repeated the steps multiple times, each time getting correct data when testing the query, yet nothing in my xml file.
    Any ideas on why this is happening?
    Thank you.

    Hello! Thank you for responding!
    I actually am having problems on the "Report Queries" section under "Shared Components"...my query doesn't return any data when I try to download/open the xml file. Once I'm able to get this fixed, I'll be able to open my report on the page that has the branch.

  • GL Trial Balance Report Query with date Effectivity

    We have a requirement to show the GL Trial Balance report with Effective dates as Parameters.
    Current Analysis:
    The Journals get updated with corresponding CCID in GL_BALANCES table when the Journal is posted. GL_BALANCE is SOB specific, if the SOB has month as period then the balances in GL_BALANCES would get updated against the month(period).
    To overcome the period problem, we explored the option of using a View based on GL_JE_HEADERS and GL_JE_LINES for 'Posted' Journal Batches of a SOB. We are checking whether the GL_JE_HEADERS.default_effective_date lies between the :p_from_date and :p_to_date which is sent to the Report as a parameter. The above idea does not return expected data when the custom Trial Balance Report is run.
    Following is the Query we have written for it:

  • Report Query - Download data - converts special characters

    When I'm doing a select from a table which has a "<" or ">" sign it is being changed to &lt; or &gt; when I view the XML data that is being downloaded. Is there any way to prevent it from doing this?

    What I'm finding is that when master detail data is dumped in XML it is being dumped as individual rows.
    <DOC>
    <ID>12341</ID>
    <RC>23456</RC>
    </DOC>
    <DOC>
    <ID>12342</ID>
    <RC>34567</RC>
    </DOC>
    <DOC>
    <ID>12343</ID>
    <RC>45678</RC>
    </DOC>
    What I'm trying to achieve is this ...
    <DOC>
    <ID>12341</ID>
    <RCROW>
    <RC>23456</RC>
    <RC>34567</RC>
    <RC>45678</RC>
    </RCROW>
    </DOC>
    This is how one should expect the data to look... not as my first example. Can I do this with plsql... most definitely. However, the report query tool wants a select statement. You can add queries but it will simply output the data as a single row regardless of how many queries you create. Furthermore I thought I might try to introduce subnodes by encapsulating the data with <> but unfortunately any special data will get converted to html code. So when I read it with text viewer software I can see these replaced with &lt; and &gt; Within the report query tool you can't create a select which will format the data (as per my second example). I'm trying to use reporting software which will expect the data as per my second example so that it will appear grouped and sorted properly but it won't work if the rows are being treated as individual lines as in my first example. I'm not sure why Oracle would not allow you to sort and group it this way since any XML data I've seen, seems to be grouped as per my second example and not as they have implemented it. I have no idea as to how to create this format to the data using report queries given the data will get converted to HTML.

  • Data not displaying  the report (Help me out Urgent)

    Hi Folks,
    When i am executing the query and web reports for the date 27/11/2007 & 28/11/2007 am not getting the data its saying "No applicable data found"
    But i can see the data  in the  ODS for those dates.
    Report is working fine till 26/11/2007.
    But when the user is trying to check the reports for the above mentioned dates its not displaying.
    Even in checked it the RSRT as well but the same case over there the data is not displaying.
    Its bit urgent as its month end user wants to see the reports.
    Any help or any clue will be great helpfull and appreciated.

    <i>First check out how many records are there in the ODS as on 27th and 28th</i>
    There are totally 750 & 427 records on 27th and 28th.
    <i>At the time of executing the query,are using giving any variable entries?</i>
    Yes we are using variables entires like PO Date & PO number we usually check  the reports giving the date in  PO Date variable,
    Any other clue please?

  • ORACLE reports Build 10g - Data Model - query - If statement in Alias ?

    SELECT ALL T_NTR_MULTIBAR.CAT, T_NTR_MULTIBAR.NUM_CASES_LEFTBAR AS Survivors,

    It is no problem, you can automatically change the complete query before the report is running, which delivers you different kind of values. But the alias names does not change in the group of the data-model, although two query are running with different alias names at different times. In the data model you see the alias names of the first implemented select statement, which are the column fields in the layout.

  • Report Query returning "No Data Found" with bind variables

    I put a simple query into Report Query:
    Select "bluefish". "name" as "name",
    "bluefish"."primary_flag" as "primary_flag",
    "bluefish"."status" as "status",
    "bluefish"."ID" as "ID" from "bluefish" "bluefish" where "bluefish"."ID" = :P3_XPRINTID
    When I test the query, data is returned; however, when I try to run the query using "Test Report" button, I get an error 01403 No Data Found. If I replace the bind variable with an explicit value, the report works.
    Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this problem? I am using the Generic Report Layout, with various output types. I AM editting the query and defining the bind variable before I test the report (otherwise, the query wouldn't run).

    Sometimes if you create a form/report/whatever using the wizards, it will create an After Submit process called something like Reset Page - basically you want to make sure you don't have any After Submit processes that call a Clear Session state (it may say something like Clear Cache for Page).
    In your branch, there is also a box that says Clear Cache - you want to make sure that does not have page Number 8 in it or it will clear your session state.
    Put the page in Debug mode and read through it - check to make sure your value is getting saved and maybe you can see what is going wrong.

    v1 varchar2(5);
    v2 varchar2(5);
    v3 varchar2(5);
    vRegExp varchar2(5);

                v2 := REGEXP_INSTR(var,vRegExp,1,2);
                var := substr(var,v2);
               // here fetch you data from report by passing v1 as a parameter;
          EXIT WHEN v2 = 0;
    END LOOP;
    end;
    Hope this will resolve your question..

  • Setting pl/sql procedure as the data source in a Report Query

    Is there a way to set PL/SQL as the data source in a Report Query? we want to
    able to use the ReportQuery function and query results returned by a PL/SQL procedure.
    thanks

    Not exactly sure what you want to do, but on a ReportQuery you can set either a StoredProcedureCall, or an SQLCall.
    query.setCall(new StoredProcedureCall(...));
    query.setCall(new SQLCall("begin; my_proc(); end"));
    Now, a stored procedure in Oracle cannot return a result, so using a ReportQuery which requires a result may not make sense.
    You could instead use a DataModifyQuery.
    If you return results through output parameters (you must use a StoredProcedureCall for this) you could use a DataReadQuery or a ReadAllQuery/ReportQuery if you wish to build objects from the data.

  • Change date format in reporting (query)

    I need to change date format from dd.mm.yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy in reporting (query)

    Hi Suresh,
    Go to transaction su01d in that enter your user.
    Now go to defaults and change the date format.
    Ya but this format will be user specific, so if you want everyone to see that format you have to change it for all.

  • Report Queries & Layouts, PDF, only first query returns data

    Hi all,
    When I use Standard report printing from APEX 3.1 and a Report Layout and Report Queries (more than one report query), I only get output from the first query in PDF format. If I use XML format I get output from all queries. Does APEX 3.1 allow the use of multiple report queries when printing in Standard mode to PDF?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,
    Do you have other report queries where you get more than one result set? Or do you face this issue in all cases? One scenario where you could potentially run into this kind of a situation could be if you selected "Include application and session information" when creating the report query, created your layout based on the resulting XML structure and then later, including application and session information was de-selected, resulting into a simpler XML structure.

    It is within the table I believe (I'm not a DBA or a developer) since I created a BLOB column and then used the file browse feature to allow users to attach a resume to the table in order to be able to perform a search of the attached documents.
    I'm just having a hard time pointing the link in the search results report to the document in the blob column.
    The information on that page is great if you're trying to create a link to the document on the initial report.
    But I created a query using Oracle Text to run a report that does a boolean search of the attached word documents in the table.
    When it displays the search results, it doesn't create a link to the document and I can't figure out how to do it.
    Here's a link the the instructions I used to create the initial search report with Oracle Text, mind you I only created the index and query, I didn't add in all the link data since they're using documents on websites and I'm using documents in a table.

    If you can help me with this I'd really appreciate it.

  • Discoverer report returns no data from a certain time

    Using Discoverer 10g,a discoverer report which returned data normally last month gets to return no data now.
    We have four same environments, and two of them has this problem, two is OK.
    And the SQL of the discoverer of the four environments are the same.
    We have no any changment of this discoverer and related EUL for more than one year....
    How should we investigate into this issue.
    For example ,a point we should notice or something...
    Could somebody give us a suggestion?
    Thank you.

    Thanks for your qiuck reply.
    1.empty table that is joined in the query.The four environments has almost the same data,it is not the cause.
    2.security issue with the data, maybe the security definitions are different from one environment to another.we are now invesgate into this cause.
    and there is a sql of the discoverer's EUL which shows no data in a enviroment(in this enviroment discoverer report gets no data), but in another enviroment data can show.

  • Reporting Services: XML Data Source and Parameters

    I’ve created an XML service (asmx) in ASP.Net that I want to use as a data source for an SQL Reporting Services report. The report and service work just fine if I use a Method from the service that does not have parameters. However, if I use a Method that
    needs a parameter, the query/report fails. My investigation makes it seem that the parameter is not getting passed to the Method at all. (The parameter is a DateTime and it always ends up uninitialized and the WebMethod throws an exception.)
    I’ve exhausted all my TechNet resources and Googled this excessively. It would seem that I am doing this correctly, based on all the examples I’ve seen, but I still can’t get it to work.
    I've done a lot of different permutations, but this is where I’m at right now.
    (Note: I've changed the Web Method's parameter to be a String instead of a DateTime. I did this as part of my trial-and-error process. Once I get this figured I'll return it to a DateTime.)
    I'm trying to include everything here that will help you help me (see attached image). I had to obfuscate a few things (not sure if that is necessary).
    See attached image:
    Created Shared Data Source in SQL Report Services
    Create Report Parameter (matching Web Method parameter)
    Created a data set in Report Builder (with Query, and parameter - matching Web Method parameter)
    Query in Data Source
    <Query>
    <Method Name="GetDueDateAging" Namespace="http://zzz.com/vvv">
    <Parameters>
    <Parameter Name="cutoffDate">
    <DefaultValue></DefaultValue>
    </Parameter>
    </Parameters>
    </Method>
    <SoapAction>http://zzz.com/vvv/GetDueDateAging</SoapAction>
    <ElementPath IgnoreNamespaces="true">*</ElementPath>
    </Query>
    This is where I needed the most help, and I don't totally understand it. But again, the parameter-less Method worked. I've tried adding different things in the <DefaultValue> tag (like @cuttoffDate and constant values), with no success.
    WebMethod Code
    [WebMethod]
    public List<AgingInvoice> GetDueDateAging(string cutoffDate)
    DateTime cd = DateTime.MinValue;
    if (!DateTime.TryParse(cutoffDate, out cd))
    cd = DateTime.Now;
    Shared.DueDateAging aging = new Shared.DueDateAging();
    return aging.GetDueDateAging(cd, Settings.Default.ConnectionString);
    I've looked at every online resource that I could find, but I'm striking out right now. Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Derrick

    Hi Derrick,
    In your case, please refer to the following method to troubleshooting this problem:
    We can use Fiddler2 to monitor the HTTP post, and check whether the parameter is being sent. The Fiddler tool can helps us debug web applications by capturing network traffic between the Internet and test computers. If the parameter is being sent, please
    debug the web service to ensure the method has values return.

  • SSRS report not displaying data in correct order

    Guys,
    I have a SSRS 2012 report not displaying returned records from SQL in the correct order.  Running the stored procedure in SSMS and supplying the parameter values returns the data correctly and running Query Designer in SSRS using the stored procedure
    on the dataset in question, likewise returns the data correctly.  Only when I run the actual report does the data display incorrectly(always last name order).  I've done similar reporting using very similar stored procedures and I've never had this
    problem.  Below is the stored procedure.  "@SortBy" is the parameter with the sorting value. 1=Due Date; 2=Denial Amt and 3=Last name and is passed by SSRS to SQL.  Wish I could supply screen shots.
    Thanks for any help,
    Dave

    Hi DaveMac1960,
    According to your description, when you render data in report, you find it always shows the data with unexpected order. Right?
    In Reporting Services, if we don't set any sorting in tablix, it will order the data as your query in SSMS or Query Builder. In some scenario, for example, we add parent group for data rows, it will have the rows sort by the group on data field by default,
    and the "order by" in your query will be ignored. So please check the Sorting tab in Tablix Properties, in this scenario, we suggest you delete any sorting in the Sorting tab so that the "Order By" clause can work.

    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
