Report with TextArea field v PopUp Form with TextArea Item CRLF Question

I have a report which has a column in it which contains lines terminted with CRLF i.e chr(10||chr(13).
When this column is displayed as a textarea type it presents the data correctly i.e
Signal received to CONTINUE command section SLT_PRT.xml sequence 1
Signal received to CONTINUE command section SLT_PRT.xml sequence 2
Signal received to CONTINUE command section SLT_PRT.xml sequence 3
Signal received to CONTINUE command section SLT_PRT.xml sequence 4
When i take the same data and pass it into a html area with a textarea field in it - it displays it incorrectly ie
Signal received to CONTINUE command section SLT_PRT.xml sequence 1Signal received to CONTINUE command section SLT_PRT.xml sequence 2Signal received to CONTINUE command section SLT_PRT.xml sequence 3Signal received to CONTINUE command section LT_PRT.xml sequence 4
Also % signs dont show up correctly.
What might be the problem is it encoding?

No that didnt work now i get:-

On Firefox 3.6.10 on MacOS X 10.5.8, I cannot navigate some or all fields in some forms with my keyboard.
- In the worst case, the TAB key doesn't work at all: TAB simply toggles between address bar and tab bar, instead of moving from field to field.
- On this form (Firefox Support Forum, Ask a New Question), TAB works on some fields, but not on other fields: TAB just skips over the drop-down select list for the "This happened" field and the submit button ("Post Question") . I cannot find any way to navigate to these fields with the keyboard.
I feel that filling in a form is most efficient when I don't have to keep moving my right hand from keyboard to mouse and back again.

Problem with currency field in smart form

friends ..
i had problem with currency field in smartform iam printing 5 currecny
fields after the main window .But not getting printed on right way gets printed down from the given mesaurement and i get lot of gap betwen the
each fields for ex.

0.00
0.00
0.00
i thought the the problem is with space .so iwanted to condense it but cannot as it is currency field so move into character fields .but the user want out put in currency format like 22,60.20 if i get the value in char variable i get 2260.20 which i dont want .
so pls help me how to condense or shift left and print the currency field on right place.

this is a normal problem u can avoid this by moveing these currencu value to a character field then print the char field us ing condece... &var(C)&..

Send the fields of a form with POST method

I have a form based on a table, used to insert news. The problem is that I have to send the fields of the form to another aplication when I push the INSERT button, but I have to send them using the POST method.
I tried to insert code in the event of the INSERT button to do that, but I think it uses the GET method and the other application doesn't receive anything.

FWIW, the usual explanations in regards to this are wrong more often that they are right.
For example, the Acrobat License Agreement says nothing about emailing extended documents or posting extended documents on a web site, but rather simply deploying them.
Also, it only mentions instances of an extended document in relation to how many the licensee may extract information from if the document was deployed to more than 500 recipients and returned to the licensee.
If there are 500 or fewer recipients, the licensee may extract information from an unlimited number of instances of an extended document.

Fields in PDF form are blank: Another Preview question...

So I get that filling out a form in Preview can create a problem where the end user cannot see the info in those fields unless they click on them. But I have some additional questions:
1. Is just viewing a PDF in Preview without making any changes enough to cause this problem?
2. Is it only Windows users reporting this problem or are Mac users having it as well (when trying to view it in Acrobat or Reader)?
Here's why I ask: We created this form but send it out to clients to fill in and return. I sometimes view these returned forms in Preview because the info loads faster than it does in Acrobat. No issues there. But with one form in particular that we received today, anyone trying to subsequently open the form in Acrobat is having a problem. It seems to be just this form that is causing the problem. I'm not sure what the client used to fill it out, but they sent back other forms that don't seem to be a problem, so it seems unlikely this one would have been filled out using a different tool from the others.
Also it appears that Mac users AND Windows users are having issues seeing the fields in this form properly filled out. Heretofore, I've only read of Windows users having this problem.

A form has to be saved in Preview in order for it to be corrupted, not merely opened. What OS is used when opening a corrupted PDF in Reader/Acrobat doesn't matter.

Set Time Interval with custom fields in generic list with view(SPViewCollection.SPViewType.Calendar)

I need to set time interval range with custom date fields in sharepoint view SPViewCollection.SPViewType.Calendar. How to do that?

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to see the calendar view begin and end time for the time interval.
We can use the SharePoint Manager to view the internal name for the begin and end time for the time interval.
Open SharePoint Manager 2013->click your site->click
Lists->select your list name->click Views->select your calendar view name->click the
Schema Xml to check the internal name for the time interval begin and end.

Additional fields in report for form with report

Hello,
I got the problem, that I want to create a form with report where the form only changes the values of one table but the report is also using additional fields linked from another table. If I take a view with all fields for my form with report, the form is about all fields and not only about those from the first table. So is there a way to have another table linked to the form than to the report and get a link between them by a key?
I hope that someone has got a great idea and can help me solving this.

Jochen,
you can create a form with report on the view and afterwards you change the SQL-query into a query on the view. Take care that the original column names remain the same. You get your extra columns in the report and your link to the form remains,

Problem in Webdynpro and Adobe form with signature field

Hi experts!
I have a problem with Signature Field in Adobe Form showed in a Web Dynpro Abap.
During the execution I fill the Signature field correctly but when I push any other button of the Webdynpro, the Adobe Form shows me the next error.
After click OK, the webdynpro is hang and not respond.
Any idea why not respond?

Its not like that the Adobe created using SFP is non interactive.
We can create interactive forms using SFP transaction using java code.
I think it will be the problem with ADS just check with your basis people i think they will configure you the settings which works fine.
To check whether the settings are perfect you can try executing the standard programs FP_TEST_00 and
FP_PDF_TEST_00. If it works fine then some other problem exists else check with your basis team.

Error in smart form with currency fields

while i am using with currency fields in samrt forms error is comming in while i am giving print-preview in se38 "Reference field WA_EKPO-NETPR unknown in form."

In smart forms if we want to display quantity and currency fields. We cannott directly display currency field and quantity fields.
To display the mdo like this
Ex: GLOBAL Definitions
WA_NETPR LIKE EKPO-NETPR
For that we have to create an extra variable in global definitions
Ex: netpr FIELD of EKPO
CREATE program lines and specify WA_NETWR = itab-netpr.

Submitting form with attachments.

Hi,
I have a simple need. I am stucked in it. What i need to do is:
Step 1: User1 starts opens a pdf form inside LC Workspace, fill it, attach files (Reader Extended) and then submit it.
Step 2: User2 receives the filled form with attcachments. Can view attachments and save them in repository.
I am stucked at step 1. User is able to fill the form, add attachments but can't submit it. If I am not enabling the Reader Extensions for attachments (Disabling functionality to attach files) then it works fine. But when using with attachments option, it fails. It gives no error, no message and does not passed to the 2nd user.
Is there any special requirement in developing such process/form ??
Please help me out on it.

I've studied the HTML generated by UIX and it has following bugs and misfeatures:
1. Misfeature: Submitting with Enter works ONLY if there is exactly one text field in the form (no submit button is actually needed), as Brian Stoler wrote. I don't understand reason for this.
2. Bug: UIX generates javascript function "_submitOnEnter" which is called as event handler for "onKeyPress" event. But this function is erroneously generated multiple times, once for each form in the page. Browsers (Mozilla and IE) use the latest implementation. This function is different for forms with one text field and for forms with more text field, but only the first one can do the job. As a consequence of this, Enter can submit the form only if the last form on a page has single text field (which is for example not the case of search form with single field above another form...)
Tested with UIX 2.1.7 in JDeveloper 9.0.3.3, using UIX as JSP tag library.
Workaround:
1. Use Opera browser: it submits form with enter key even if there is no submit button (this does not work for the first text field in the form, because it has "onkeypress" event handler).
2. Implement this feature by hand yourself, if you really need it (see below).
3. Use accessKey: allows to submit form with Alt+<key> combination (followed by Enter with IE).
Implementing Enter key submits with Javascript:
1. Put the following function to the header (or to javascript library):

in standard html form, when you have form with submit button, the enter key when any form element is selected submits the form.
This is very convenient for users, so I want this with UIX forms. I know it is possible (I have one form where it is working), but I can't get it working anywhere else.
This code works:

IDOC segment fields prefixing blank space with values

Hi Experts,
I am sending data through custom IDOC from SAP to XML which generates successfully but getting 2 problems in the data.
its having 3 level idoc segments:
SEGMENT1 with 1 field (field_name(20))
SEGMENT2 with 3 fields, (code_g(20), field_name(20), value(20))
SEGMENT3 with 4 fields, (code(20), field_name(20), Language(2) & text(20))
When i check the idoc in WE02,
1. i found that segment2-value field is prefixing some space along with the values.
    Eg: if the output is "0111" whihc is plant, in the output (WE02) it is giving "       0111"
2. Segment3-language is no where in the output and text which should come as "011" is coming like "       EN011" means it is concatinating language field value and displaying it with the text field value with prefixing space.
This is happening in PRD not in QA & DEV. I also checked the transport req and everything, Its same everywhere.
Can anyone please help me on this.

This issue happnes when u are moving the data to iDOC segement with offset.
to aviod this improper move instead of using offset statement use below mentioned code.
decalare a structure as
Data SEG1 type SEGMENT1 ,
        SEG2 type SEGMENT2,
       SEG3 type SEGMENT3.
then while moving
SEG2-code_g = 'XXXX'
SEG2-field_name = 'YYYY'
SEG3-value = 'ZZZZ'
here u are moving the segment values to idoc data (SDATA) and then append it.
move seg3 to idoc-sdata.
then append it to idoc.

A table type describes the structure and functional attributes of an internal table in ABAP. In ABAP programs you can reference a table type TTYP defined in the ABAP Dictionary with the command DATA <inttab> TYPE TTYP. An internal table <inttab> is created in the program with the attributes defined for TTYP in the ABAP Dictionary.
A table type is defined by:
its line type, that defines the structure and data type attributes of a line of the internal table
the options for managing and accessing the data ( access mode) in the internal table
the key ( key definition and key category) of the internal table
The row type is defined by directly entering the data type, length and number of decimal places or by referencing a data element, structured type ( structure, table or view) or other table type. Or the row type can be a reference type.

Adding a field to a form based on a table

Hi
I am unable to make the following scenario work.
I have a form which is called from a report. The report passes in an ID parameter. This form field then displays the text associated with this ID because it has a LOV attached to it.
However, the user is able to select other values from the LOV, which then renders the form useless.
Is there a way of:
- disabling the LOV?
- adding a separate text field to the form where I can display the value I want with no LOV?

As part of my attempts to make this work, I added a field to a form, with the intention of passing a value into it using the link to the form. But the field does not appear in the list of parameters available to the link.

Form with report, update field in the form = field is not updated in table

Hi,
I have a form with report. On Primary Key in the report is a link to the form. I select one row in the form by choosing the link in the report. Then I update a field in the form and press "Save". I see the success message "Action processed" and I'll be back in the report. I see the field in the report with it's old content. It is not updated. I don't understand why. Can anybody help me?

Is the form field source set to the proper database column? It's either not properly defined or your Save button and the builtin update process have somehow become disconnected. Check to make sure that the Save button is set to perform an Update in the database operations setting.
