Report Works Locally - Not On Enterprise Express

We use Crystal Enterprise Express on our local intranet to allow access to reports to employees. I have a report that will run perfectly locally using Crystal Reports 2008, but the same report from the Enterprise console returns no results. There are no error messages at all - just 0 results.
We have never had an issue with any of our other reports running on Enterprise. Has anyone heard of this type of issue, and if so, how can we fix this?

There are a ton of possibilities - a DSN pointing to a different server for example. Try running the report in Crystal Reports on the server and see what happens. Check what is different about this report vs the other working ones. Also, if none of that leads you to the problem, you may need to turn on tracing on the server (-trace switch for the server command line in the ccm or cmc depending on your version)

I created a report, which works fine in Crystal Reports (designer).
After uploading the report to the enterprise-server it don't work anymore.
I use the same database and the same parameters, but get the following error:
Failed to open a rowset. File D:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Enterprise 10\Data\procSched\FDMPLS082M.reportjobserver\~tmp14f4559568a82d0.rpt.
For other reports it works fine.

Does the server have the same database DSN named the same? Also, you may want to try installing CR on the server and see if the report works there.

Mic works locally, not in a meeting

USB Headset works locally, record and playback, but when connected to remote meeting mic does not work. I can hear them, they can't hear me. Host says I must have firewall blocking on corporate network, but can't tell me port number needs to be opened. Any suggestions?
Win XP, using Firefox browser.
Headset is Plantronics 630M.
Host is Learning Tree.

Report works but not when scheduling

Hi,
I have a report that copies table contents to a text file. When using this report from se38 everything works but every time we schedule the job from sm36 it gets status cancelled.
The input to the report is what table should be copied and where it should be copied to.
The error message is from sm36 job scheduling is: "Could not ascertain code page"
Message class: FES
What does this mean?

Where do you download the text file to?
If you try to save to your PC, it will never work.
You can not download to a local drive, only to UNIX or print the file to the spool. Then, later, you'll need to retrieve it either from UNIX or from the spool.

MP3 Stream Works Locally, Not Online

Hello,
New to Flash development, I'm building a MP3 player, and have
started with a very simple version (as the attached code shows).
The player works perfectly when I direct my browser (either
IE or FF) to the files stored locally on my hard drive.
However, when I upload everything to a shared host Web
server, the Flash object loads fine, but clicking the Play button
doesn't do anything.
To keep things simple, I stored all of the Flash published
files and the MP3 file in the same directory, so I'd be surprised
if it's a file path issue.
The "sound.mp3" file is 1 minute, 39 seconds at stereo
192Kbps, 44kHz. Is it a buffering issue?
I am using the 30 day trial of Flash CS3, if that matters.
Any assistance in helping me resolve this is greatly
appreciated.

Never mind. I figured it out. Case sensitivity.
In the attached code, I changed the name of the MP3 file to
the generic sound.mp3. The real file name, however, contains
capital letters. The code referring to that file did not. That
works fine on Windows file system, not UNIX.

WCCP works locally, not remotely?

I've got some WCCP issues that don't seem to make sense. I've got a 7609 with a FWSM in it, and WCCPv2 enabled. I've also got a Content Engine directly connected, and it has the 7609 in router-list 1. I have the Content Engine set up to use an external Websense server, with client IP spoofing enabled. If I put "ip wccp web-cache redirect in" and "ip wccp 95 redirect out" on the outside Vlan interface from the FWSM, everything works just as I would expect... traffic gets filtered based on the IP address of the Vlan interface. If I add another router's IP to router-list 1, however, web traffic seems to die. A "show ip wccp" shows that it's connected to the content engine, but I never get a response for any standard http requests.
Routers 1 and 2 are configured like this:

The content engine is configured like this:

I'm not using the L2-redirect option, so I'm not entirely sure why it's not working. In the above scenario, traffic from the Vlan on router 1 works, and doesn't work on router 2. The only difference I can see is that the content engine is connected to a GigE port on Router 1. Any thoughts?

I had s similar problem to your. The problem was that user who ran ldapbindssl.exe didn't had a rights to read wallet. Check access permissions on wallet directory on windows and access permissions on files in that directory.

Ethernet to PB works fine, not ethernet to express to PB

I just moved into my college dorm. They have a proxy thing that I figured out. So when I directly plug the ethernet cable into my powerbook it works fine. When I try to open any site it redirects me to my college log-in site and the internet is fine everywhere after that.
But when I try to connect the ethernet cord to my Airport Express nothing works. I've run the setup assistant. I've done a hard reset. I don't get it.

As deivy has pointed out above, this problem will be solved if you use the Airport Admin Utility to uncheck the setting "Distribute IP addresses" found under the Network tab.
There may, unfortunately, be a price to be paid for doing this - which is that iTunes streaming and printing to the Airport Express may no longer work.

Works locally not in server

When I preview the gallery in dreamweaver it works perfect but in the server the slideshow does not play?? the images show up though, but when i click them, they open up to a new page. Help!

Reports work in Crystal Server XI, but not in XI Rel 2.

We have recently migrated Crystal Reports Server from 11.0 to 11.5 (Release 2).
While most of the reports work okay, there are some that generate an error message when we try to run them from Infoview or the Central Management Console. They work okay on the old server, and in Developer XI:-

I've compared some of the reports, and the only difference I can see between them is, the number of Oracle SQL statements which are used. All the reports I've checked, that don't work; have five SQL statements. Also, when I chopped out a few fields that are used by the lookups, the report worked (this removes one the SQL statements).
 
Are there any changes that I need to make to web.config, machine.config or the Oracle driver settings?
 
I've tried searching the forums, but cannot find the same sort of problem. (Originally, a lot of the reports were not working, but after checking the forums, I was able to change a timeout in web.config, so that was very helpful, thanks).

Honestly I have never used the server explorer for anything, so I am not sure what is needed for that to work.
You need to install the Enterprise SDK on your dev box.
Do a custom server install on your dev machine, unchecking everything except for the .NET SDK and Help files.

Issues running Crystal Reports (Open Doc) from IE 9 with locale not set to English

Hello Experts.
This thread is more or less a sub thread of http://scn.sap.com/thread/3541526 . We continue to experience Crystal Report failures from a location in China when our users enter report parameters and click execute. The error message we are seeing is: “logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]” (in Chinese).
After a fair amount of troubleshooting (see aforementioned thread) we discovered that the reports would not only run fine in Firefox, from this location, while set to a Chinese Language, but if we changed IE to US English, the reports ran from there as well.
While we have narrowed down the issue we have not been able to find a viable solution. Firefox is not ideal because it does not run many of our other application properly, including some SAP products and switching browser locale settings from user’s native languages to run a report is also not ideal. Has anyone else run into this issue in the past, if so how did you work through / around it. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

- We are currently running BOBJ 4.0 SP 4
- We have a test environment running BOBJ 4.1 SP 2 and the issue is persistent
- We run IE 9 throughout our organization as a requirement for most of our internal tools

I run a script in win 7 Enterprise it worked but not in window 8.1

I run a script that hides folders and it worked in window 7 Enterprise, but then when I tried it in window 8.1 it did not work at all. Is there something I am missing ?

Following the suggestion from Thomas, I modified my script. It worked perfectly on my Window 7 Enterprise.Then I just took my flash-memory(where my script reside) and plugged it in my laptop (window 8.1) and started to run the script but it did not hide
the directory I intended to hide, and I did not get any error message either. I also tried to generate directories in different discs ...still it did not work. This Script is the corrected version after the suggestion of Thomas and Michael Taylor:

VS2005 Crystal Report Print Report Button is not working on Windows 7 x64

Hi There,
My application is written in VS2005 C# on x86 machine. It runs smoothly on XP pro and Vista x86 machine.
I deployed the same to windows 7 x64 machine with CRRedist2005_x64.msi and found that the Print Report button is not working.
So, I re-compiled my application to x64 target platform, and reinstall the application to the same machine. But nothing changed. I have surf for answer over the web but nothing found.
Please help urgently. Any helps is much appreciated. Thks in advance.

I follow your instruction as below:
1) download the sample app vbnet_win_printtoprinter.zip to dev computer and compile it to .NET 2005.
- Run from my dev computer
- Click "Print Report" button
- Error message display - please see below
    The error was due to the default printer name hard coded in the program was not found. I have edited to my printer name and it can be printed out with no error.
2) Use a "saved data" report so that you do not have to worry about database logon.

3) Then copy the exe to the 64 bit box and try to print using this sample app.

Report engin is not working

I have install Forms6i and Report6i on client machine and give exact path of server and also mention net 8 service and also give path of reports and forms. my form are running correct but my eports are not working and i notice when i run my report then report engin is not come on status bar, please let me know the solutions

Report works in Crystal Reports, but not when scheduled in Crystal Server

I have a pretty simple report designed in Crystal Reports 2008. Basically it shows a list of call notes (memo field) from customer activities in our CRM system. The report works fine in Crystal reports, but when run or scheduled in Crystal Server 2008 the output is always blank. Furthermore, the page format etc. is "lost" in crystal server, so that the output is PDF of a quadratic blank sheet (not my standard A4 format)... Exporting to other formats - excel, Word etc. all gives the same result.
I have tried to strip out various formulas, formatting etc from the report, but nothing helps. Which leads me to thinking that the real problem is that the report contains a memo field? Anyone else had this problem?

Hi Claus,
I've had issues between what Crystal does and what the Report Server does. To resolve this, we found out Crystal Reports 2008 latest service pack has some things that will fix Server 2008 and they aren't in the latest Server update.
We updated Crystal Reports 2008 on our machines. Installed the latest update for Crystal Server and then installed Crystal 2008 on the Report Server and installed the Crystal Reports 2008 update. A lot of our compatibility issues went away after that.

Form on Table with Report works in one environment but not in another.

Here's a short description of the problem:
Created a form on a table with report (using the wizard) in an ApEx application. The form and report work perfect in development environment. Once the application is moved to the Test environment, the insert feature of the form does not work. We have verified that the underlying table the form is based on is there with all the fields, primary key, sequence and trigger.
Any ideas?

I assume that apex_public_user has all the approporiate privilegesapex_public_user requires no privileges other than those it is created with during installation and the execute privileges on procedures it may acquire as URL-invokable procedures are developed and registered.
Marc - What are the symptoms of the problem (insert does not work) ? What does the debug output show when you run the page in debug mode? Does the "request" value of the button (create button?) match one of the request values recognized by the DML process?
