Repository of Parameters in templates (forms and email)

Hello,
while working with email and form templates, I discovered some parameters which will be replaced from the system. For example in the form template "Sales Quote", you will find "{Salutation}" (or "{txtQuoteID}") which will be replaced when printing with "Dear Sir or Madam". I would like to know which parameter also exist and how to use them. How is it possible to adapt the salutation in the form correspondingly to the customer to "Dear Mr. x" and "Dear Mrs. y"? Which other possibilities exist?
Do such parameters also exist for email templates so that the name of the contact person will be replaced dynamically? By the way I do not mean the email templates of the customer service, what I am talking about are those of Admin -> Business flexibility -> form templates. I am looking forward to your responses.

You can open AdobeLifeCycleDesigner or Easy Form Editor to
check on the supported fields and you might have a look to the generated XML
file (can be accessed via Output tab in Sales Quote).
Also looking at the Preview of the sales quote print form should give you a
good overview of what fields get exposed in the print form.
External note on header and items are also part of the print form
(out-of-the box)

This is the basic code structure and I'm trying to figure out this special case with handling the multiple parameters:
1. I dont' want to use String []a=request.getParameterValues("studentname"); as hard code. The reason being the number of rows will be diyamic and I would like to get the column name and then then use an array of string to take values. But how can I connect these to form a query so that the rows goes on inserted one after other.

I'm something close to it but this segment of code throws a NullPointerException Error. I counted number of rows and columns using the methods getColumnCount() and getColumnName(i).

I am using a Mac OS 10.9 and i can't type into a PDF form. I have adobe reader and another adobe product (adobe photoshop elements 12). Is there a way i can fill out a form and email?

You could try opening the file in Adobe Reader, then from the Comments pane use the 'Add Text Comments' tool.

Unable to see the vacant/free space in repository, after deleting VMs/Templates/Clones and even moving the same stuff to another repository

We've got an Oracle VM Server 3.1.1 and Oracle VM Manager 3.1.1. We're having two repositories, which are presented to the OVM Server. let's name them repo1 and repo2 for ease of communication.
We're facing space related issue on the OVM Server, because it's showing one of the repository as 99% utilized. We deleted VMs/templates and clones from the repo1 and even tried to move the same stuff to repo2, but the changes are not getting reflected in the space usage % of the repo1 after the same is refreshed.
Please let us know, how to troubleshoot this issue.

Create a PDF Form and Email the entire form w/ responses

I created a form in PDF and I want to e-mail the form with the responses in the fields... like a file-->send to-->mail reciepents as attachment...
I want to e-mail the form with responses not just email the data file of the form...any suggestions..please

I've seen a number of people report this type of behavior and have experienced it myself with Acrobat.com, but have never heard what's causing it or know of a fix. You might try the Acrobat.com forum here to see if they have any ideas.
What's worse is when it appears as though the form submits successfully to Acrobat.com, but the data never gets added to the responses.

Help needed creating a fillable form and emailing it.

I'm new to all this and have no clue where to start. If there is a document that lays out how to do this, a link to it would work. I need to create 2 fillable forms. 1 will need a submit button and once you click submit, it automatically sends the form. The 2nd one will need to allow the end user to select to whom the document is to go to. I think it will have to open an email message to do this, but I'm not sure. Please advise.

It's probably the fields highlight color of the application, which you can change via Edit - Preferences - Forms.

Populating and Emailing an adbobe form

I can review the form and email it from there after
CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_CLOSE' executes. However I can not get a copy of my generated form to the program, even when I generate a spool file it is empty.

What I would suggest is, mocking the look up you want in an HTML editor (I use Dreamweaver) and just layout the page you want, with the data elements names in place (:PX_ITEM).
Next build a page process that gets called AFTER the submit.. Heck I will send you a link that shows how to send this type of e-mail from APEX.. It is a survey based app page..
What you do is build the page process, and in it you define a local variable to hold the html code that you built earlier to format your e-mail.. In building the string (at least what I did ) is build the string using the quote operator function in Oracle PL/SQL so you don't have to do the string concatenation..

How can recipients submit a distributed form via email to any email address they want?

First, a little background to describe our situation:
I have a standard Acrobat form here that I need about 20 of my salespeople to use to send to their new prospective customers, have the customers fill it out, and return the completed form to their respective salesperson.
I don't want to allow my salespeople or their customers to be able to save local copies of the form because it will include personal information about the customer. If customers were to save their completed forms and email them to our salespeople, I worry that the salespeople will accidentally send out one of those completed forms to a new customer thinking that it is a clean/unfilled version of the form (and not realizing that it includes sensitive information about another customer!)
Thus, I need a way for our customers to fill and return the forms without being able to save them locally as their own versions and then sending those new versions to our salespeople.
I believe that means that I should use the "distributed forms" method and ask the customers to "submit" the forms directly rather than save/email them on their own.
I'd like to have a single form up on our website, and our salespeople will just send out the link to that form so that customers can fill out their data and submit it. If our salespeople get into the habit of just sending out the link, and they get an email with the completed form after a customer completes it, then they'll never email around actual PDF copies of the form, so they'll avoid the risk of accidentally sending out a customer's completed form that has all their personal info on it.
Here's the problem though:
Using the "distributed form" method, whenever a form is submitted by a prospective customer, it seems that it can only be submitted/sent to the email address on the Adobe account that originally created the form (which is me), but I need the completed form to be sent directly to the salesperson who covers that customer (not me).
So, is there some way to get around this issue?
Can I create a form field that allows the customer to type in the salesperson's email address so that the completed PDF of the form is sent to that salesperson when they submit it (rather than all of them being sent to me)?This would be ideal because it would still be a distributed form that allows people to submit their forms directly to their salespersons without having to save local versions of the form w/ all their personal info and then emailing to the salesperson.
If this can't work, is there some way to make sure that when a customer fills out a form that they are required to save it as a new version under a new file name (like "NormalFileName_CustomerLastName")?If the file name is always different than the original, clean copy of the form, then it would make it less likely that my salespeople would send out the wrong version.
I know this issue must come up with people all the time! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You would have to first change the email address that Acrobat uses (Edit > Preferences > Identity > Email Address) and then redistribute the form in Acrobat and send it to your users.

On the first sign and email, everything works great. However when the next person gets the form signs it and tries to email it, the body and subject is replaced by:

The recipient of this data file should save it locally with a unique name. Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later can process this data by importing it back into the blank form or creating a spreadsheet from several data files. See Help in Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later for more details.

Submitting PDF form through email

I created an order form PDF a year ago (with Acrobat Pro 8) for a client's website with a button to submit the form through email. The customers can fill out the order form in Acrobat Reader 8 and email the PDF to my client's email. Now that doesn't seem to work anymore - an illegal operation message comes up. I've changed the action for the button to submit the order form as a FDF file but the form data is not found once the email is sent. I've found the FDF Toolkit but have no idea what to do with it. Is there a simpler way for customers to fill out the form and email it to my client?

Sure. Just enable the form so Reader users can save it when it's finished then instruct them to do so and attach it to an email.

The built-in PDF viewer on iOS does not support forms. Adobe Reader on iOS has some support and should work for what you want, but you may need to use the built-in methods for signing and emailing. Readdle's PDF Expert has better support, including more support for JavaScript. Neither support digital signatures, but both support a hand-drawn signature.
Adobe Reader on Android just had to drop support for JavaScript due to a security concern, so another option you might want to look into is qPDF Notes, which supports actual digital signatures and e-signing.

Template Forms

1. What is the correct method of creating a template form and inheriting the template form for User interface consistency?
I want to use the REMOVE PATH method and somehow it does not seem to work... Please help me someone...
2. I am confused as to how to start... What standard triggers (and objects) should I use in my template form?

1. standard's in your Template form
You have to create some property clases , visual attributes, an example block and
standard triggers for key strokes and the related code for those triggers. You can also have some general program units in which you can standsize the window settings.
If you look in the Oracle Tools dir where Oracle is installed you will find some examples for templates.
2. When you say remove path Oracle will look in your Forms40_path variable as where to go and look for the referenced objects.
So, where ever you are saving your files the name of that dir should be appended in that path.
NT : path can be found by going to REGEDIT
95 : It is set in the .ini file in Oracle Bin
