Req Input on Creating report on SR without Activities

Hi
I need to create a report wherein I need to find those SR's which donot have Activities.In SR subject area activities are not present and in Activities subject area I believe I cant get this output.
Negative reporting is one option but not sure on how to go about.
Any inputs on this would be highly appreciated

If i was to complete this function within my system i would do the following.
Create an Activity report....with SR External, Activity External, # of Activities and filter this by greater or equal to 1.
Save the report
Create a new SR report with all the fields that you require including SR External and filter this by clicking on Filter -> Advanced -> Based on another request.
Select Relationship = Not Equal to any
Saved Request = Located the previous saved report
Uservalue = SR External ID
This should then work....
If you have not populated SR External you could use Service Request ID.

    In 9.3.1 (at least) you have to use the FR Studio, I'm pretty sure it's the same in 11.
    What happens in the workspace if you select from the Hyperion/Oracle menu:
    File/New/Document
    In 9.3.1 there are options for:
    - Interactive Reporting
    - Web Analysis
    - Report Books
    - Batches

    okey... simple question... i got the NI OFFICE toolkit, and i want to save all my DAQ data on an excel sheet and plot the graph for it....(create a report)
    my sampling speed it not much, 1 sample/sec. i am using the MS Office Report.vi to save the report to a file. however, i observe that if i add the MS Office Report.vi in while loop,
    the program keeps on asking for a file name every iteration unlike the Save to Measurement file.vi (where it asks only once and then keeps on adding data to the next file unless 
    any other logic is applied). also, it only saves the first 3 rows of data.
    how do i make the code so that the excel file saves the entire data and the graph plots a summary kind of plot of the data i have from the DAQ.

    - how to start the query by SDK then - without clicking through the Query manager ?

    I am completely new to crystal report and please kindly forgive me if I ask some stupid questions.
    Actually, I have searched the forum for the topic and found some related threads, but I still want to
    have some responses from crystal report experts on this issue.
    Our developer tool is IBM RAD 7.0 and it has crystal reports tools installed in it. I want to use
    crystal report to solve one of our business solutions. I have the following questions about the
    feasbility of this solution:
    (1). I need to specify data at runtime during report generation. I think using fixed data source
         (for example, SQL query or Stored Procedure) may not fit our needs. I think if crystal report
         can accept XML as input to generate reports at runtime, then it will be perfect. Can CR
         use XML as data source as input?
    (2). Actually, one of our business requirements is to generate a letter. Can CR do a report
          layout such that a letter format can be achieved? If yes, would you let me know the
          report layout name?
    (3). We need to export the report into PDF format, I know CR can do PDF output. But can
          CR be controlled to export this into bytes stream? Or the PDF must be saved into a
          physical file?
    (4) If I need to learn more about CR, which book will you recommend?

    Works like a charm now.
    Or atleast my very very simple XML report works.
    Now I just need to play around and see what I can do and what I cant.
    I just want to make sure I understand how this works.
    1) I start of with a XML file (or URL or other data source as explained in your BLOG)
    2) I then have to create blank report which will have its data source set to my XML file.
        This report (rpt file) will always have its data source set to the original XML location
    Can this be dynamically changed, or does a new rpt file need to be created each time
        (or atleast I will have to re-run "CreateXMLInlineSchemaReport" from your BLOG)
    3) I can now use this rpt file as I would any other rpt file but its data source will be the original XML file
       - If I update or change the XML file, the report will dynamically reflect these changes.
    4) To change the data source, I need to recreate a new rpt file as per point 2. Which will now be blank.
    5) Filtering.... if I want to filter the XML data do I use normal parameters. If I want to filter the data before
        I pull it do I need to change anything. In otherwords if I have a XML file with 1000 records, but I only want say
    5 of them, how do I only pull those 5 without first pulling the whole 1000 records. Hope that makes sense.
    As I said I am very new to this so some things still fly over my head, but I do play around abit so hopefully
    will find what I am looking for.

    Hi,
    Yes, you can do that.
    You can run a first report having characteristics as output. You can then use the returned cahracteristic values as input variable for a second query.
    You can achieve this by creating a replacement path (based upon your first query) variable in the second report.
    Another option would be to use the report to report interface (RRI).

    Hai these are the steps involved in creating a Report:
    1.     Processing the selection screen
    After starting a report, the selection screen allows the user to enter limits or control values for further report processing. The report can contain several processing blocks for events during selection screen processing, for example, for checking the input values.
    2.     Reading the database
    After selection screen processing come the events for reading the database. Either the report reads data from relational databases it using the corresponding ABAP/4 statements (open SQL) or leaves this task to a logical database. In the latter case, the logical database creates a sequence of events to allow the report to copy the data.
    3.     Evaluating data and creating lists
    During or after reading the database the report creates the output list. During list creation, several events allow you to layout the output list (for example, layout the page header).
    4.     Outputting a list
    The last part of the processing sequence controlled by the ABAP/4 processor is the list output on the screen or printer. When displaying the list on the screen, user can trigger other reports, that are interactive and are event driven. For example, by clicking the mouse. By programming processing blocks for these events, you change a normal report to a so-called Interactive report. If a report does not contain event keywords, the entire coding of the report belongs to a single processing block, which is called by a standard event. This standard event is triggered directly after processing the selection screen.

    I want to create a specific report based on master data in BI cube. for example... a report which takes cost center and period as variable and display expenses for that period and cost center. This report I want to create for all cost center in BI database separately. any idea how can we do this?
    There are 2000 cost centers and I need to print/send 2000 reports one for every cost center.
    If I store all cost center in excel file, can it be easier?
    broadcasting and creating 2000 schedule - not option.

    Create ONE Query with selection Cost Center and Period are inputs.
    Create text variables for Cost Center and Period and add in Query Description.
    After query execution you can see description based on selection in workbook or webtemplate.

    Hi,
    I have not worked on it but you can try this out:
    TCODE for report writer table is GRCT.
    There You need to add your z fields in some pre-defined structure like CCSS and then activate the structure and then activate characteristics.
    NOTE: 24 charcter is max. length for the characteristics.

    Currently we are having some trouble creating reports in SSM 10 SP9, we already configure the database, can see all the scorecards screens, also we can create using the legacy option (that I looked in another post) and it works fine,  but when i try to create a native report i get the following error Message " could not load data source Server.Error.Request.     The model is connected with BW, thinking it has to be  something BICA connection metadata i create another model with a snapshots,  but I have not luck still I have the same error.
    Have you guys solved something similar?, any ideas?

    Originally I  have one model from BW where dimensions are imported thru BICA all worked fine except reports, trying to understand the problem I created a new model using copy dimension (first I moved to external file and then importing to a new model from this files) then I use a snapshot Update to load some variables (I reduce the model to 10 variables and 3 dimensions). This idea worked  nice now I can see the small data set perfectly in Pas and in SSM application including legacy reports. For both models when I tried to doing reports I got the same error, both connection are working and checked for reporting.  As the new test model is very small I will show you the dimensions, maybe I can’t see the problem because it’s obvious
