Require a shell script to prepare the install build fromStar Team.

Dear All,
Please can anyone help me in writing a shell script which identifies all the .xml files with the same revision label and prepare a build file based on just those files.
Star Team is a kind of vss.

Unfortunetely spca5xx seems not to be manageable by your abs-module script, as its PKGBUILD doesn't have a variable called _kernver.

  • Help on preparing shell script for setting the listener password

    Hi All,
    I am working on checking all my DB servers listeners and if the password is not set for the listener then I need to set the password for that.
    As we have many servers, I am planning to prepare the shell script for doing this task.
    I am familiar with setting up the listener password manually, but strucked up to prepare the shell script to do the same task.
    Can any one kindly help me on this.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Shell script to monitor the data guard

    Hi,
    Can any body please provide the shell scripts to monitor the data guard in all scenarios and to get the mail when problem occurs in dataguard.
    Thanks,
    Mahipal

    Sorry Mahi. Looks like all of the scripts i've got are for logical standbys and not physical. Have a look at the link ualual posted - easy enough to knock up a script from one or more of those data dictionary views. Just had a look on metalink and there's what looks to be a good script in note 241438.1. Its a good starting point definately.
    regards,

  • Shell Script- To FTP the latest file with the date stamp

    I have a Solaris 10 based system, where it generate some application files (multiple) in XML format and the file name comprises of the current date.
    File Format is as follows;
    CX-FIL-20070624000000-2-8452536d-000133.xml
    Where 20070624 repesents the curent date of the file
    I want to FTP these files to another server (Solaris 10 based Sun Machine) by comparing the file name with the current date.
    Please let me know how I can do this by using a shell script.

    Assuming you want to ftp the files with today's datestamp, you could match the files you want like so:
    CX-FIL-`/bin/date +"%Y%m%d"`*
    Use that in your script to generate the file list to be transferred...

  • Shell script to monitor the application health deployed on weblogic

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to monitor the health of a application deployed on weblogic and send a mail if it is not running. I have JasperServer reporting application deployed on weblogic. The shell script should check if the application is running, if it down a mail should be sent.
    Thanks

    You can use WLST to get information on the state of your deployments, for example,
    the python script can be used
    class DeploymentInfo:
         def __init__(self,name,target):
              self.name = name;
              self.target = target;
         def getName(self):
              return self.name;
         def getTarget(self):
              return self.target;
    print 'CONNECT TO ADMIN SERVER';
    connect('weblogic', 'transfer11g');
    print 'OBTAINING DEPLOYMENT INFORMATION';
    deploymentsInfo = [];
    applications = cmo.getAppDeployments();
    for application in applications:
         name = application.getName();
         target = application.getTargets()[0].getName();
         deploymentsInfo.append(DeploymentInfo(name, target));
    print 'CHANGE TO DOMAIN RUNTIME ENVIRONMENT';
    domainRuntime();
    print 'APPLICATION LIFE CYCLE INFORMATION';
    applicationRuntime = cmo.getAppRuntimeStateRuntime();
    for deploymentInfo in deploymentsInfo:
         state = applicationRuntime.getCurrentState(deploymentInfo.getName(), deploymentInfo.getTarget())
         print 'Application: ' + deploymentInfo.getName() + ', State: ' + state;
         if (state != 'STATE_ACTIVE'):
              startApplication(deploymentInfo.getName());In the example above the application gets started when it is not running, you can also
    send an e-mail by using the smtplib package, for example
    import smtplib;
    server = smtplib.SMTP('email-server-host');
    server.set_debuglevel(1);
    server.sendmail(fromaddress, toaddress, message);
    server.quit();More information on the package smtplib can be found here:

  • Please help with executing the c-shell script by using the exe class

    I try to use the exec class to execute a c-shell script in my java gui program like this. But I don't get anything when clicking on the start button.
    here is my code:
    Runtime r = Runtime.getRuntime();
    r.exec("./DDMReportEvents");
    ./DDMReportEvents is the name of the c-shell script.

    I think Runtime.exec runs DOS batch files, but not Unix shell scripts.
    Try:
    r.exec("csh -c ./DDMReportEvents");
    to get the shell to run the shell script.

  • How to use the result of simple shell script?

    The shell script below retrieves the length of an audio file:
    set aFile to choose file
    do shell script "afinfo " & quoted form of (POSIX path of aFile) & "|grep duration"
    I'm wondering, how can I copy the result to the clipboard or set the value of a variable to it?
    Total newbie question. I have no idea about shell scripts - I just found the script above online.
    Thank you so much!

    Here:
    set the clipboard to (do shell script "afinfo " & quoted form of (POSIX path of aFile) & "|grep duration")
    or:
    set A to do shell script "afinfo " & quoted form of (POSIX path of aFile) & "|grep duration"

    You can end a SQL command in one of three ways:
    * with a semicolon (;)
    * with a slash (/) on a line by itself
    * with a blank line
    A semicolon (;) tells SQL*Plus that you want to run the current command that was entered. SQL*Plus processes the command and also stores the command in the SQL buffer.
    A blank line in a SQL statement or script tells SQL*Plus that you have finished entering the command, but do not want to run it yet, but it's stored the command on SQL Buffer.
    A slash (/) on a line by itself tells SQL*Plus that you wish to run the command stored on SQL buffer.

  • Which .bash does "do shell script" commands use?

    The "do shell script" command uses the Bourne shell "sh". But I am curious to know which .bash it uses to define the shell environment variables.
    I ran into a problem installing a third-party unix program which required new environment variables to be defined in order to execute. Defining these variables and executing this program from the terminal worked fine.
    But executing it within a "do shell script" command in an Applescript - the program died silently because the environment variables it required were not defined in the shell Applescript uses. It appears to invoke a new shell which does not inherit the environment variables defined in your home user shell.
    (I found this out by 'do shell script "set"' which listed the environment variables Applescript knows about - the ones I defined for the third-party program were not listed).
    A "brute force" way of fixing this is to pass the environment variables directly:
    do shell script "export THIRDPARTY_ENVVAR=blah; /usr/sbin/thirdpartyprogam"
    This works but not exactly elegant, particularly when you need to pass a number of variables.
    So - any better ways to do this? Can I edit the .bash Applescript uses, and where is it?
    Thanks.

    Another option that might work for you... if you are saving/distributing your AppleScript as an "Application bundler" is to group all your shell env. variables and other commands into a separate shell script file. Then include the shell script inside your app bundle. Locate the shell script at runtime and run that with "do shell script".
    For example, create "myShellScript.sh"
    #!/bin/sh
    export THIRDPARTY_ENVVAR=blah
    # ... more variable declarations..
    /usr/sbin/thirdpartyprogam
    # ... more shell commands...
    Store the shell script file inside your AppleScript bundle's Contents -> Resources folder (remember to make the shell script executable). Then your AppleScript can find your shell script at runtime and execute it like this:
    set ssPath to quoted form of POSIX path of (path to resource "myShellScript.sh")
    set stdout to do shell script ssPath

  • Executing a shell script from a Trigger

    All,
    I have to write a script to do the following requirement.
    There is a file called BUSINESS_DATE.TXT.
    This file get updated once the oracle partition created. In Oracle, Partition will be created every day. There is a seperate script scheduled to take care ORACLE partition creation.
    The above file will have only one row. i.e
    03092012
    If Oracle partition creation job failed, the above file won't be updated.
    My requirement is,
    I have to check whether the BUSINESS_DATE file is updated today or not. If yes, I will have to move the files from common area to input file directory to process those files.
    All file name will amend with current date.
    i.e
    LIDDIFD03092012.TXT
    The key part is to check the BUSINESS_DATE.TXT file is updated properly or not.
    We don't know what time the file will get updated. So we are planning to schedule the new script to run for every 15 mins to check whether the file is updated or not
    But...I just thougt instead of writing a shell script to do the above one, Why shouldn't I capture the date in a table (New table needs to be created) and use ORACLE TRIGGER to run the shell script to move the files from common area to input file directory to process those files?
    My Proposal in ORACLE :
    Create table business_date
    rep_date varchar(15),
    curr_timestamp timestamp
    Once the oracle partition created , one row will be inserted into the above table. This adjustment needs to be implemented partition script.
    Once this table get record, TRIGGER should call SHELL SCRIPT to move the files from common area to input area.
    If I implement ORACLE TRIGGER, The script which will check whether the file got updated or not for 15 mins is not required. Right? Inputs from experts are welcome!

    >
    But...I just thougt instead of writing a shell script to do the above one, Why shouldn't I capture the date in a table (New table needs to be created) and use ORACLE TRIGGER to run the shell script to move the files from common area to input file directory to process those files?
    >
    Triggers should not be used to do transactional work. There is no COMMIT in a trigger. What happens if the trigger runs the shell script and then a ROLLBACK occurs? You will have run the shell script when it shouldn't run.
    Create a stored procedure to run the shell script. Call the stored procedure when the partition is created.
    If you were using 11g and interval paritioning you wouldn't need to create the partitions manually. Oracle could create the partitions automatically.
