Required Creation of button using images.....

Hi,
I have three images left , right and center and i hav to create my own commandButton using these images. The left image is single and no repeat is applied to it and as with the right image but the center image has a repeat property which repeats according to the size of the text which we have for the button. I can did it easly in html using css but in adf i m facing a problem to do so. Pls suggest smthng..... thnx in adv.....
In html i m doing it by

but when i m doing same in adf it split each part in a <td> tag.....

Have you read about skinning? It sounds to me that this is what you are looking for.

Creating interactive buttons using images

Background: I am trying to teach myself Java at home, since I lack the funds to take even a "community college" course. I understand a lot of the basics and can write various methods which work nicely, but I am stumbling a bit on understanding how to "scale" these basics into a full fledged "working" application.
Project: I picked a project for myself that would be fun and hold my interest, but also cover as many different aspects of Java programming as possible... I am "reverse engineering" an "online casino". Well, not the WHOLE casino. Just the BlackJack game to start.
Status: I managed to get my hands on just about all the graphics that the original developers use to create the application, which is great, since I want to learn about programming in Java and NOT about how to create a "poker chip" in Photoshop. I have been able to create the "Blackjack Table" and layer images of "chips", "cards", etc. on to the table, using the "jframe()" object and "paint()" method. So far, so good.
Current Activity: The next specific activity I would like to try is to create "buttons" out of the chips. Each chip has 4 "states"... inactive (not selectable), normal (selectable), highlighted (selected), and raised (hover over).
Challenge: I lack the "vocabulary" surrounding what it is I want to accomplish to be able to "Google" the information I need. What is making the search more difficult is all of the "JavaScript" code examples that appear when I only really want "Java".
What I think I need: If I can get a handle on some vocabulary, then I may be able to get some productive searches working. I don't want someone to write it for me, that would defeat the purpose. That being said, I do learn well by reviewing specific examples of code that implement what I am trying to do. If there are any "tutorials", "videos", or PDFs that address this at an elementary level, that would be nice as well.

From your wording, it sounds like you used the built-in column link within APEX. You will need to edit your column and remove that so that the column is only containing the definition that is coming from the query (you can also just change the alias used for the column and then the old column with the link will be removed and the new alias will be added against your new button column).

Can you use images as buttons in spry menu bars

I am trying to build a site with customized buttons. Each button has the same background, but I want the buttons to be images
because the client likes the font. Is there any way to make each individual button an image using the spry feature in CS3. It's easy
to do this in Dreamweaver 8, but I cannot figure out how to do it in CS3.

I personally have not used the spry menus for anything yet but in researching other topics i did find:

The other option is to look back at the code generated by DW8 (that you mentioned worked) and apply the same code technique to your current project.

Disable certain fields during the creation of SC using "create limit item"

Hi,
I have a requirement to disable certain fields from the role "SHOP" associated with the operational purchaser role. I would like to disable the fields "Unlimited check box", "Service Agent", " Invoice Only radio button", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the screen I get during creation of SC using the option "Create Limit Item". Also i need to disable the option "Good / Service" entry box as we are using only free text items and donu2019t want this option to be seen in the screen when using the operational purchaser role.
Please advise how can I achieve this.

I have a same requirement to disable certain fields from the Shopping Cart Limit Item. I would like to disable the fields "Service Agent", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the Detail screen. during creation of SC using the option Limit Item . Also i need to make default Value "Known" and "Invoice Only". But this is in SRM 7.0. Notes You have mentioned supports only Release 5.5, But I am in Release 7.0. Any idea?

Encore button thumbnail image capture - then disable

Hi all
One of the good features of encore, that is most useful for inexperienced users
is the button thumbnail image/video extraction
however the facility to retain the image capture seems locked with the functional button presence on the dvd menu
have i overlooked a method of disabling of this within encore without loss of image capture, or is it a photoshop requirement

your solution seems like the most workable solution so far for video display in this button thumbnail, this does work quite effectively although the button is still present.
thanks for this, heres some further solutions/info we have
PHOTO ONLY DISPLAY after firstly setting the link of the button to the relevant imported image timeline to complete thumbnail capture choose - convert the button to an object
this effectively traps the image capture and resolves the issues of navigation and retains the auto button route.
VIDEO DISPLAY
The preview feature - render motion menus may be a good solution for the video thumbnail however it is exported in mpg and the quality may be reduced
the render motion menus facility will compile a video from the items visible at any time.
example
Hide from view all non required items in the motion background ie other buttons and text items
excluding the thumbnail button and background
then by setting the link of the button to the relevant chapter or video to complete video capture
choose - render motion menus
encore compiles a video background with the video thumb nail included and saves it in the respective project sources/menus folder named Video_Bpgc_Asf.mpg
by importing a copy of this into your project (must be a copy)
and using this as the motion background to the menu, all navigation issues and auto button routing are solved
after of course deleting or disabling the respective button from the menu and reactivating all hidden buttons and text etc.
or am i being lazy and trying to avoid a jump to another software to do this ?

Using Images in Spry Dropdown Menus??????

I am in the middle of making a web site that needs a drop down menu for one of the top navigation menu buttons, when I designed the web site I created my own buttons (images) in photo shop. When I went to create me navigation bar I tried to insert images in the spry menu bar, so that I can have my imaged and have the drop down menu but that didn't work, so then I tried to use a table and insert the images there and in the cell that needs the drop down bar I put in a spry menu bar but that through the whole navigation bar off. Can anyone help or does anyone know how to use images in spry drop down menus that can help me have the look I want and the drop down menu?

The iPod "my ipod name" cannot be updated. The required file is in use.

Installed iTunes 7 on my mac. Everything went fine. Updated my ipod everything went fine. Ever since then I've been getting a dialogue pop up window stating "The iPod "my ipod name" cannot be updated. The required file is in use."
This pop up happens at completely random intervals, sometimes every minute sometimes every 10 min.
Its extremely annoying as it bounces the icon in the dock until I give iTunes focus, click ok, and then I can navigate songs etc. I listen to my music thru my iPod while its connected to my computer, so this bug just about has me reverting back to v6.
I've repaired permissions, and disabled anything I could think of that may be using it, ie synergy etc, with no success.

I have a 4th Gen 30gb IPOD and updated Itunes 7 sucessfully but could not update/install IPOD 1.2 upgrade.
Eventually after clicking the message boxes with the above info we seem to be getting, I selected the update button that appears on the front page of ITUNES and it installed/updated. I have been attempting for a couple of days and it just worked!!!!
After it completed, I received the same dialog box and then disconnected the IPOD from my laptop.
Seems to be OK now but there is def something going on.
I thought it may be a shareware issue with mp3's being downloaded into Itunes library form another application.

Error message when trying to use image processor in CS2

I am trying to use image processor to condense 500 proofs for my website - however although I have done many times before with no problem, now when I hit the Image processor button before I even get to key in details it is bringing up the sorry something major has happened message and I can't continue - the details of this message are as follows - ref error : this.dlgMain.ddset on Change is not a function :810 - does this mean anything to anyon? Any ideas on how to overcome would be much appreciated.

Why can I no longer import EDITED photo from my iPad to my Mac using Image Capture from Snapseed app?

Why can I no longer import EDITED photo from my iPad to my Mac using Image Capture? This is farcical and a real problem having to email them individually to myself and is totally inefficient time wise compared to previously using image capture! Why change this when it was working well and very quickly until the latest change. Now I have to move files from downloads into an appropriate folder, after emailing each individual edited image to myself, then I have to open in Photoshop and rename the file. This is ludicrous and takes forever to do!

Thank you! I suppected it would be in the settings somewhere. I' ve much to learn...get myself into trouble pushing buttons I don't really understand.

In the role give Authorization object P_ORIGIN for Infotype 0, 1 and 2. with Authorization level as R (read)
This will resolve your issue then no need to give sap_all authorization

Scan button in image capture is greyed out

I have an Epson Workforce 545 connected wirelessly to my network and had been using Image Capture for scanning. When I went to use Image Capture today the "scan" button is greyed out.. I have all the newest software updates.
Using MacBook Air I get an error message w Iage Capture although printing works fine.

I found another thread suggesting drawing a box around the scan field. That seems to work.

Using Image Capture to scan with Canon Pixma MX700

I previously had trouble connecting my Canon Pixma MX700 to my MBP, but soon figured out that I needed a new high speed USB 2.0 cable, versus the old one I was trying to use it with. Doh!
So now it prints without any trouble at all, and I know that all its features - printing, scanning, fax, copier, are supposed to be compatible with Leopard.
However, I'm still having issues scanning. I Googled and found a comment somewhere that with this specific model, one has to use Image Capture for the scanning portion, instead of the Canon software.
Great, so that explained the problem I was having trying to figure out how to GET it to communicate at all with the MBP (downloaded the latest scanner driver from Canon with no result).
But it still will not scan with Image Capture. Communication is fine- the image is detected and I can see it perfectly in the Image Capture window, am able to change options, etc. Once I drag and select the image I want to scan and click the scan button, nothing happens. Or more specifically, the button will be click-able and for about two seconds it appears to be working (with the scan button substituted by a cancel button), but then the scan button will pop back up and nothing appears in the folder I specified the image to be saved to.
Now I'm completely stumped. What am I doing wrong?

With my MacBook running Leopard, I had been able to successfully scan multiple images by pressing the MX7000 scan button and capturing the images with MP Navigator. The MX700 is networked over WiFi. Early on, I learned that it seemed to be more reliable to drive this process using the scan button, rather than trying to initiate the scan from the MP Navigator UI.
However, recently things stopped working, and after the first image was scanned, subsequent scans would fail, with MP Navigator complaining about not being able to connect to the scanner. This sounds similar to the problem described in the original posting.
I went to the Canon USA support site and downloaded /installed the latest versions of the MX700 scan driver (13.9.0) and MP Navigator (1.0.4), both available under the "Drivers and Downloads" section for the MX700 support page (be sure to select "Mac OS X" from the pull-down menu).

The new updates seem to have solved the problem, and I can now scan multiple images one after the other. Again, I always initiate the scan from the button on the MX700, and always capture using MP Navigator, which has the really nice feature for creating and editing multi-page PDFs.

Can I use Image Capture to take a picture using a Canon EOS 10D?

Normally I use a card reader to download digital photos, but today I hooked my camera directly to my iMac. I then noticed the "Take Picture" button, so I tried to use it to take a picture with my Canon EOS 10D. Image Capture didn't refuse, it just showed the 'cogwheel' animated cursor and got stuck. What does this mean - is it that this particular camera won't work or that there is something wrong with the setup? I have other digital cameras, but I don't want to work all this out by experiment alone - how can I find out more about how this feature of IC works and what exactly is going on when I press "Take Picture"? There is absolutely no technical info in the Help files.

The Help on Image Capture has the following:
Many cameras let you take a picture using Image Capture when the camera is connected to your computer.
To take a picture:
Connect your camera and open Image Capture.
Click Download Some.
Click Take Picture.
The camera snaps a picture, which then appears in the window.
If you don’t see the Take Picture icon, choose View > Customize Toolbar, and drag the Take Picture icon to the toolbar.
If the Take Picture icon is dimmed, your camera doesn’t support this feature.
As the option is available to you, your camera supports +Tethered Shooting+. If it’s not working check your camera’s manual to see do you need this enabled on your camera.
