Required output File In UTF -8 NO BOM format

Hi,
I am Working with Idoc to File scenario.
Where the some of the data for the file will be in Chiniese.
So i used the file encoding parameters as GB18030 in file reciever.
But the legacy system to get process the format of the file should be UTF -8 NO BOM format.
So what encoding parameter should be used to get the output file in UTF -8 NO BOM and chiniese format.
Regards,
Manoj

this might be helfulll check........
Under File Encoding, specify a code page.
The default setting is to use the system code page that is specific to the configuration of the installed operating system. The file content is converted to the UTF-8 code page before it is sent.
Permitted values for the code page are the existing Charsets of the Java runtime. According to the SUN specification for the Java runtime, at least the following standard character sets must be supported:
■ US-ASCII
Seven-bit ASCII, also known as ISO646-US, or Basic Latin block of the Unicode character set
■ ISO-8859-1
ISO character set for Western European languages (Latin Alphabet No. 1), also known as ISO-LATIN-1
■ UTF-8
8-bit Unicode character format
■ UTF-16BE
16-bit Unicode character format, big-endian byte order
■ UTF-16LE
16-bit Unicode character format, little-endian byte order
■ UTF-16
16-bit Unicode character format, byte order

  • Need to produce all webhelp files as UTF-8 No BOM - RH-7 does not do that.

    RoboHelp 7 seems to produce some HTML files  and javascript files (*.js) in ANSI European encoding. My company needs all the webhelp code to be UTF-8 no BOM. The webhelp is managed through Perforce.
    I tried on my own to use FAR 4.3 to change the encoding from ANSI to UTF-8 no BOM for all of my htm and js webhelp files for a particular webhelp – I used Auto-detect using BOM signature. FAR changed the files to UTF-8 with BOM. I tried to turn off the BOM by converting with Assume UTF-8 if no BOM signature – that did not work at all (FAR assumed all files were already UTF-8 and did not convert them).
    Is there some way to change this in RoboHelp 7? Can RoboHelp 9 solve this problem?
    If not, is there a post webhelp production solution that can convert all the webhelp in one “batch?”

    UTF-8 was introduced in RoboHelp 8 but I don't think the BOM can be avoided.
    RoboHelp 9 allows you to choose your encoding but the UTF-8 option is Unicode (UTF-8). There is also a Unicode option but it's outside my area to know if that is what you want.

  • Require output file name same as input file without extension

    I am doing a POC where I require that my output file name should be same as input file name. The input is a XML and output is Flatfile. If I use %SourceFileName%,
    i am getting the output with extension. How can I remove the extension? Do I need to write a custom pipeline component?

    I don't think Orchestration or custom Pipeline can help you on this as  you are setting
    %SourceFileName% Macros at your send Handler which comes after Pipeline Processing .
    As you are converting xml file to Flat file I would suggest to use  Macros  as
    %SourceFileName%.txt
    %SourceFileName% Macro gives the file name along with extention. This won't work!

  • Unable to send patch file in utf-8 or ASCII format

    I am trying to solve tasks provided by eudyptula-challenge for which I have to send attachments in Unicode format. I am using THunderbird 31.0 version. I have tried everything but still i get a reply from them stating the attachments are in base64 .
    I have done the changes menionted in the http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/Documentation/email-clients.txt
    I have tried the changes in this http://superuser.com/questions/288571/how-can-i-change-the-default-encoding-type-thunderbird-uses-when-composing-a-new
    How to send a attachment in utf-8 format ?

    Done some testing.
    Tools > Options > Display > Formatting tab
    click on 'Advanced ' button
    My Outgoing and Incoming Mail Character encoding is set as:
    Western (ISO-8859-1)
    test plain text message with txt attachment.
    Message source on received email:
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252;

    look for this line:
    mail.label_ascii_only_mail_as_us_ascii; Value = false
    double click on that line to toggle the 'false' to 'true'
    or right click and select 'toggle'
    close window - top right x
    click on OK to save changes to options
    Sent plain text message with txt attachment.
    This was the result in received message source:

    name="font.txt"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: '''7bit'''
    Content-Disposition: attachment;

  • 'Create Settlement Batches' Request and Output file name

    Hello,
    Is there a table/view which keeps 'Create Settlement Batches' request id and name of the output file of that request ?
    Output file is created in 4456_1.out format. I can see this file name in IBY.IBY_BATCHES_ALL table BATCHID column and
    IBY.IBY_TRXN_SUMMARIES_ALL table BATCHID column. Non of the tables do not contain the concurrent request id.
    How can we find out from tables/views the name of the output file, if you know the request id ?
    Thank You,
    sruwan

    Hi Hussein,
    I already looked at FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS. It doesn't contain the output batch file name. It has a column called 'OUTFILE_NAME' and it points to
    a file called concurrent_request_id.out file ( Eg: 123456789.out ). This file is blank when you run 'Create Settlement Batches' request.
    'Create Settlement Batches' request also crates an output batch file in the format 1234_1.out. Problem is finding a pace linking that file name to concurrent request id.
    Thanks for your reply,
    sruwan

  • Server/browser requirements for WebHelp output files

    What are the UNIX server and browser requirements in order to
    display a WebHelp project output file correctly?
    When I generate the primary layout, I am not selecting 508
    format, and I select Java Applet as the preferred method for the
    Navigation Pane (checking the radio button for DHTML > Java
    Applet > Pure HTML as the order of preference.
    When viewing the help project on the UNIX server through
    Mozilla, the page appears to load and reload, load and reload.
    Sometims pressing Esc. stops it and you can view the TOC and
    content pane. The way around this is to generate Pure HTML only,
    but then the index and the glossary become very difficult to use.
    Robohelp Webhelp descriptions claim to work on all platforms
    and in all browser types. What requirement are we missing on our
    UNIX server so the project can display correctly?
    Thanks in advance for your time and trouble. :-)

    Hi GEWB,
    Here are some more details--
    Generate Webhelp output setup:
    Use lowercase filenames (recomm. for UNIX)
    Toolbar buttons: Content, Index, Search
    Navigation: Add breadcrumbs links
    Additional options: Enable Highlight Search results, Synchronize TOC automatically
    Navigation Pane preferred format: DHTML > Java Applet > Pure HTML
    Optimize speed for: Web site
    Q: how are you setting up your Linux to open the default project page?
    A: I use Linux only to launch the webehelp output.
    Q: Are you opening the GENERATED project default page or trying to open the project source files?
    A: I am trying to open the generated project default page. I copy the Webhelp folder to a Linux machine and launch the index.html page to see the output.
    Q: Why are you replacing the foreward-backward slash?
    A: In Linux '\' is not supported for hyperlinks/filepaths. Therefore I changed the backward slashes to forward slashes.
    The scenario:
    When the project files have filepath such as ../../doc/xyz/,
    when I view in Windows (IE)- I can access the link
    when I view in Linux (FF)- I see broken link with error message somewhat like "cannot find ..\..\doc\xyz\". (Note the changed usage of slash)
    This indicates that the generated files changes the forward slash to backward.

    None of the above works fine after importing xml to Indesign document/templete, it is not renderting equivalent out instead it is showing the same text inside tags in the Indesign document.
    I have lot of content in our database, I will export to XML, import to Indesign, Indesign should render required output like what we see in the browser and export the output to printed format.
    Import formated XML to indesign --> Export to Quality Print Format
    Can any one guide me and let me know whether it is posible to do with Indesign, if so let me know in case if I am missing anything in importing xml and get required output.
    Thanks in advance. Waiting for reply ASAP.

    Possibly your expectations are too high. ... Scratch that "possibly".
    XML, in general, cannot be "rendered". It's just an abstract data format. Compare it to common markup such as *asterisks* to indicate emphasized words -- e-mail clients will show this text in bold, but InDesign, and the vast majority of other software, does not.
    To "render" XML, HTML, MathML, or LaTeX -- you seem to freely mix these *very* different markup formats, unaware of the fact that they are vastly different from each other! -- in the format you "expect", you need to apply the appropriate software to each of  the original data files. None of these markup languages are supported natively by InDesign.

  • How to avoid output file and error lines when condition does not match

    Hi Experts
    A customer want to send purchase order files to several vendors and each vendor has their own requirement to content and file format. I have prepared scenarios for each vendor and a template is (conditionally) called when CardCode matches. It works fine, - PO file is generated when CardCode matches, but error lines are written to SAP B1 Control Center each time CardCode does not match the one defined in a scenario (100 or more times per day). Problem is that these error lines does not get automatic deleted. Conditional processing are made in this way:
    Result Message in SAP B1 Control Center when CardCode does not match:
    I tried to avoid an error line in SAP B1 Control Center when CardCode does not match in this way:
    Then no error lines are written to SAP B1 Control Center, but an output file is generated each time (order file when CardCode matches and an empty file when CardCode does not match).
    Any suggestions on how to avoid both errors types (error lines in SAP B1 Control Center and empty output files)?
    Or - can lines in SAP B1 Control Center be automatic deleted?
    Regards
    Steen

    Hi Steen,
    using <b1im_skip> should be the right approach, if you're working with B1 OUTBOUND.
    Following extract form the B1i help describes the usage to skip the outbound processing:
    1.1 Skipping Outbound Processing
    If you do not want to hand over the message to the receiver system, the scenario step can create a special tag that indicates to generic processing in the integration framework to skip the message processing.
    Add the following to the final transformation atom (atom0):
    <b1im_skip xmlns= ”” info=”my info” msglog=”true” msgout="yes">
    If the integration framework skips the message, it puts the message log information to the Filtered section, if the message log is switched on. The result message contains the Message skipped by vBIU logic information.

    To display an individual message, define it using the info attribute.
    msglog

  • Writing plain-text files in UTF-8 encoding under MacOSX

    Hello forums,
    I've run into some problem writing text-files under MacOSX. I've tried several methods of writing, the current one I'm using is as follows;
    private void stringToFile(File file, String string) throws IOException
        OutputStream fout = new FileOutputStream(file);
        OutputStream bout = new BufferedOutputStream(fout);
        OutputStreamWriter out = new OutputStreamWriter(bout, "UTF-8");
        out.write(string);
        out.close();
    }However, when I open the file letters other than A-Z appear corrupted in Text-Edit, though in BBEdit the file is identified as UTF-8 without BOM. (still corrupt.)
    The application uses some components I am not so familiar with, which makes trouble-shooting less of a breeze.
    It is a spring-framework web-app, and the string to be written is passed to the application through a HTTPClient.
    The string itself is constructed by
    MultipartFile content = multipartRequest.getFile(CONTENT_PARAM_NAME);
    String contentStr = (content != null) ? new String(content.getBytes(), "UTF-8") : null;and is created client-side by
    new FilePart("content", new ByteArrayPartSource("content", strContent.getBytes()), "", "UTF-8")I would appreciate any clues you have hinting towards a solution.
    I have tried to isolate parts by f.ex. writing a fixed string (which still would not work properly, which leads me to think that the HTTPClient/Spring part is not to blaim).

    Good idea,
    I'm now ensuring that the hashcode of the clientside and serverside String match, supply the bytes as UTF-8, and write it properly with
    private void stringToFile(File file, String string) throws IOException
        BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(
                    new OutputStreamWriter(
                                new FileOutputStream(file), "UTF8"));
        out.write(string);
        out.close();
    }I adjusted the stringToFile earlier, so I'm not sure wether the old code still works.
    TextEdit under MacOSX still view the files as corrupt, but BBEdit and EditPlus under windows view the result fine.
    Lessons learned? Beeing very careful about identifying sub-tasks and dealing with them separately.
    ..ofcourse, my job is not done since the damned applescripts dealing with the output treats the files as TextEdit do, but that's a task for tomorrow.
    Thank you for your assistance!

  • XML Publisher - OPP log: Output file was found but is zero sized - Deleted

    Hi,
    I have created one Main template and sub-template is called from it. I am working with Oracle Apps version 12.1.1. XML Source file gets created using rdf file attached to the concurrent program. Now after registering main template with the required concurrent program when i tried to execute it "View Output" button shows XML souce data instead of PDF report which i have called using main template. Log file was showing following error,
    Executing request completion options...
    Output file size:

    Beginning post-processing of request 3739501 on node ORAAPP13 at 09-AUG-2011 22:16:38.
    Post-processing of request 3739501 failed at 09-AUG-2011 22:16:51 with the error message:

    ------------- 2) PRINT   -------------
    Not printing the output of this request because post-processing failed.

    Regards,
    Priyanka

    And metalink note 1100253.1 states that this issue (java.lang.StackOverflowError) might be caused by a too large set of data to be sorted in the layout file. Recommendation is to removed the sort from the layout file and instead sort the data already in the data definition.
    regards,
    David.

  • Error message when publishing and problems opening output file

    I have 5 projects linked together. When I publish one, I get a message that the files listed below are linked to the open project, and one or more of these projects may require exporting. I have tried to open these files and choose File | Export | Project to | but the options in the list (Flash 8 and Flash CS3) are both grayed out--on every one of these files. I'm publishing to Flash 9.
    I didn't think much about this message until a few reviewers said they can't open the project, or when they do, they don't see my playbar on the skin.
    One more thing--when an IT person was trying to help one reviewer open the output file, the IT person said "Oh, there's a problem with the code in line 25." I guess that's the html code? I'm not a programmer, but I can look at html code. What should I be seeing there in line 25?
    Is their problem opening the output file(s) related to my message about possibly needing to export files? Why might they be having problems getting the output file to open?
    Thanks for any insights you can provide!
    SAM

    Hi Sam
    It depends on a number of things. Are you certain you uploaded all the files involved? If not, there will be problems.
    The message about the linked files is quite simply advising you that you have links from that particular movie that will expect to find the files being linked to.
    If a person isn't seeing playback controls and you have included them, it's likely you haven't provided the correct link for them to open and play the file. Typically you provide a link to the HTML page Captivate creates. As long as all the output files are in the same place on the server, you should be good to go.
    Cheers... Rick
