Reset all formfields background color on preprint event

Hi collegues,
Is there a way to reset all form field background color on preprint event.
For instance on a printbutton event.
Hope anyone has a solution?
Regards,
Ed Boon

Hi there,
I've created a script object which is really similar to what you are trying to do.
Here is the link : Validation / Reset Functions, easy to manipulate and to change Forms!!!!
The PDF provided on the forum is to validate / reset any form, the validation is setting all fields which are null with red borders,
when validating again it removes the red borders if a value is inserted, you can use the function easily to remove the borders or background color of any field when you print the form.
just make sure to be consistent with the values you are editing and everything will be working fine!
If you have any question, you are welcome to ask!
Hope this help!

  • Set all TextField background color

    I searched the help and online for how to accomplish this and
    came up with the following code. It would seem to me that there is
    a more straight forward way but this is the best I could manage.
    Any suggestions on how improve this. Also I could not get the 'for
    in' or 'for each in' to work, the loop would not iterate when
    applied to the page_mc.

    Hi,
    You can set this in the Border palette.
    You might also want to set a white background for the value area (in the Object > Field palette) and zero margins in the Layout palette.
    Hope that helps,

  • Browser background color question

    Hello,
    I have read in some article, that not all Browser background colors are readable by all computers.
    So I am wondering: when I am choosing the right color for my website's Browser Background, can I pick any color from color picker?
    Or should I only use certain "universal" color, which is guaranteed to be readable on any viewer's computer.
    Thank you .

    Just as there are web-safe fonts, there are also web-safe colors. Your color window has all the information you need. See.....

  • Af:table: defining row background color based on a condition

    I want to display log objects (priority, name, detail) in a tab.
    The background color must be green for priority "DEBUG" and red for priority "WARN".
    It seems that in the table component, we can only control the column aspect and the output text inside...
    I'have read some posts (Franck N.) and it seems not possible to have an action of the row (all columns) background color...
    What can be the workarround ? other <af:?> component ???
    Is it now possible with the new JDEV11 components ?
    <af:table partialTriggers="pollRefresh" emptyText="No items were found"
    value="#{backing_logviewer.logViewerList}" var="log"
    rows="50">
    <f:facet name="detailStamp"/>
    <af:column sortable="true" headerText="Prio" formatType="text"
    sortProperty="prio">
    <af:outputText value="#{log.prio}"/>
    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="true" headerText="Cat" formatType="text"

    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="false" headerText="Msg" formatType="text">
    <af:outputText value="#{log.msg}"/>
    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="false" headerText="Thread" formatType="text">

    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="false" headerText="Info" formatType="text">

    </af:column>
    <af:column sortable="false" headerText="Log Date" formatType="text">
    <af:outputText value="#{log.logDate}" converter="dateConverter"/>

    <af:column sortable="false" headerText="Throwable"
    formatType="text">
    <af:outputText value="#{log.throwable}"/>
    </af:column>
    </af:table>

    Thanks for your answer.
    Your solution is not working but if i put the styleclass instruction in the outputText element, it is working...
    Is there any other solution ???... because in this solution, we are obliged to put this EL in each outputText element of the tab.
    <af:column sortable="true" headerText="Cat" formatType="text"
    sortProperty="cat">
    <af:outputText value="#{log.cat}" styleClass="#{(log.prio == 'DEBUG') ? 'bgDebug' : (log.prio == 'WARN' ? 'bgWarn' : '')}"/> </af:column>

  • Can I invoke a SubVI in an event? and how do I set the background color of a pipe to #0000ff?

    When I click an image or a glass pipe(which belongs to Industry/Chesmitry category in palette), I want a SubVI to be invoked.
    The purpose is to fetch an OPC-UA data from a web service and to write to it via the service.
    We are building an HMI solution which displays an interactive water plant diagram.
    When users click pipes and motors in the diagram, clicked devices should be turned on and off and change their animations or colors accordingly.
    OPC-UA is for communication with devices.
    I couldn't even set the background color of a pipe to "#0000ff", but setting it to "Red" or "Blue" was possible, and I don't know how to invoke SubVIs in event scripts.
    The documentations in NI.com are confusing and lack depth.
    Even silverlight references are confusing.
    How do I do all of these?

    Hi iCat,
    Can you provide some more information about your current implementation so that we can help to answer your questions. Some questions I have for you are:
    Are you creating this project in the NI LabVIEW Web UI Builder or in LabVIEW?
    How are you publishing your webservice? Is this also in LabVIEW?
    How is your webservice interacting with an OPC-UA server?
    How is the certification set up with OPC-UA so that you can communicate between the server and the client?

  • How to give Common Background color for all JPanels in My Swing application

    Hi All,
    I am developing a swing application using The Swing Application Framework(SAF)(JSR 296). I this application i have multiple JPanel's embedded in a JTabbedPane. In this way i have three JTabbedPane embedded in a JFrame.
    Now is there any way to set a common background color for the all the JPanel's available in the application??
    I have tried using UIManager.put("Panel.background",new Color.PINK);. But it did not work.
    Also let me know if SAF has some inbuilt method or way to do this.
    Your inputs are valuable.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Nishanth.C

    It is not the fault of NetBeans' GUI builder, JPanels are opaque by default, I mean whether you use Netbeans or not.Thank you!
    I stand corrected (which is short for +"I jumped red-eyed on my feet and rushed to create an SSCCE to demonstrate that JPanels are... mmm... oh well, they are opaque by default... ;-[]"+)
    NetBeans's definitely innocent then, and indeed using it would be an advantage (ctrl-click all JPanels in a form and edit the common opaque property to false) over manually coding
    To handle this it would be better idea to make a subclass of JPanel and override isOpaque() to return false. Then use this 'Trasparent Panel' for all the panels where ever transparency is required.I beg to differ. From a design standpoint, I'd find it terrible (in the pejorative sense of the word) to design a subclass to inconsistently override a getter whereas the standard API already exposes the property (both get and set) for what it's meant: specify whether the panel is opaque.
    Leveraging this subclass would mean changing all lines where a would-be-transparent JPanel is currently instantiated, and instantiate the subclass instead.
    If you're editing all such lines anyway, you might as well change the explicit new JPanel() for a call to a factory method createTransparentJPanel(); this latter could, at the programmer's discretion, implement transparency whichever way makes the programmer's life easier (subclass if he pleases, although that makes me shudder, or simply call thePanel.setOpaque(false) before returning the panel). That way the "transparency" code is centralized in a single easy to maintain location.
    I had to read the code for that latter's UI classes to find out the keys to use (+Panel.background+, Label.foreground, etc.), as I happened to not find this info in an authoritative document - I see that you seem to know thoses keys, may I ask you where you got them from?
    One of best utilities I got from this forum, written by camickr makes getting these keys and their values very easy. You can get it from his blog [(->link)|http://tips4java.wordpress.com/2008/10/09/uimanager-defaults/]
    Definitely. I bit a pair of knucles off when discovered it monthes after cumbersomely traversing the BasicL&F code...
    Still, it is a matter-of-fact approach (and this time I don't mean that to sound pejorative), that works if you can test the result for a given JDK version and L&F, but doesn't guarantee that these keys are there to stand - an observation, but not a specification.
    Thanks TBM for highlighting this blog entry, that's the best keys list device I have found so far, but the questions still holds as to what specifies the keys.

  • An applescript to change the background color for all finder windows

    I'll start off by telling you what I am trying to achieve, then show you what I've tried.
    I have a macbook with several HDD's attached. what I want is for each of those hdd to have a specific finder window background color. so no matter where I am in that hdd the background color will always be the same. so for instance if I set the background color of hdd 2 to blue then as long as I see a blue background I know that I'm within hdd 2.
    I've tried setting up an applescript to do this but can only get it to change the open finder window, and none of the subfolders have their backgrounds changed.
    here is what I have so far:
    tell application "Finder"
    tell the icon view options of the front Finder window
    set the background color to {52942, 54484, 31097}
    end tell
    end tell
    so how do I get this to apply to all subfolders without opening each one and running the script.
    thanks in advance for any and all help with this

    According to this article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AppleScript/2.1/en/as2039.html
    it seems that the various options can only be set while the window is open and in icon view.
    Rather than manually opening the window of every single folder on the hard drive, it should be possible to write a script to open every folder in sequence, make sure it is in icon view, change its background, then close its window. I have never been any good at the "actions within actions" procedure needed for folders within folders, so maybe someone else with the necessary knowledge and experience might be able to assist in this regard. Such a script would probably take a few minutes to complete while it ran through "every folder of every folder", but it sure would be quicker to have the process automated than to do it by hand - computers are really good at repetitive tasks (as long as the instructions are accurate, of course!).
    On the other hand, you might like to try the following:
    open a few windows in icon view, choose Show View Options in the View menu (I'm in System 10.4), click the radio button All Windows, click the Color radio button under Background, then choose your color. It might achieve what you are trying to do.

  • My background color for all pages has changed to pink, how do I get it back to white?

    The background color in all of my screens has switched to pink. How do I get it back to white? I wonder if it changed when I was shopping in a web site and had clicked on a pink watch(?)

    You are missing one or more photos - youprobably have a page background that requires a photo which is behind a page with photos on it - all pages must either have a photo or be a color - if you have a gray background it requires a photo - look through the book carefully and be sure to look at the background on any full page photos - you will find one or more missing photos

  • Resetting Background Color to default

    I made a change to the Background Color Property for the Canvas and now want to reset it to the default (so that it will use the color scheme set in the formsweb.cfg file). How do I do this? Typing in "<unspecified>" or "DEFAULT" does not work (it won't allow these values). I can't tell which of the swatches in the color picker would be the default value.
    thanks,

    Guys, the original issue is to re-set the canvas
    background color without drop and re-create it. Thus
    that 'Inherit' button on top of the property will not
    work for canvas, but for items on the canvas!
    Worked for me. (Forms 6i Version 6.0.8.22.1, patch 13)
    In fact, I was about to ask how to set the background color of radio buttons, and just saw this topic. I tried the same thing for the radio buttons, and the Inherit button works there, too. (Thank you, Kevin!)

  • How can I reset the background color of a JPanel to it's default value?

    I have some JPanels that I set their background color to white when I add some objects in them. After some operations the objects are removed and I'd like to reset the background color back to it's default gray. Any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks.

    I took a guess and I figured it out. Just set the background color to null.
    JPanel panel = new JPanel();
    panel.setBackground(Color.white);       //Set Panel to White
    Operations......
    panel.setBackground(null);                 //Reset Panel Color to Default Gray

  • Is there a global background color setting for all apps?

    This pertains to a DESKTOP  COMPUTER uisng 10.7 (Lion) - not  iPad or iPhone or iXyz
    I've spent the last half hour on the forums but each talk about a SPECIFIC application's background.  I'm tired of staring into a WHITE lightbulb when switching applications.   Most professional applications (like final cut pro or photoshop) have a dark grey or beige background that is restful on the eyes.     That is usually easily set by navigating preferences.   Top web pages know how to use dark backgrounds to make the colors really stand out.
    My question pertains to a GLOBAL setting so that ALL applications have the same background color (unless specifically set within).   Windows had this for over a decade.  Is Mac behind Windows?   Seems like this should be under Settings==>Display or Desktop (but I can't find it).
    I've seen discussions about creating a rectangular window (I presume in Photoshop) then saving it as "template" -- but there is no save-as "template" setting in Photoshop or WHERE to put it -- or active the template.   Lots of missing instructions if so.
    This ain't rocket science fellas -- could one of you geniuses point me in the right direction with some SPECIFIC navigation (ie: go here, click this, save that, do this).
    Thanks for your time & thoughts.
    -Dale

    You're confusing being behind Windows with "don't want to". I'm sure Apple's engineers could add the ability for users to play with the desktop theme if they wanted, but they choose not to. They never have.
    However, there are third party options for that. This one looks pretty interesting. Flavours is another.
