Reset BPM Cubes
I'm working with 11g
I must delete all data in BPM Cubes.
I have inserted in my process a business indicator (*Segnalazioni*) and I defined a dashboard in workspace
But I have a generic error : "Operation Error."
Even though I deleted all instances of earlier versions of my process (those who have not setup business indicator)
I believe in the data cubes have remained process to the old instances for this .... I would reset

Design Aggrigation for ASO cubes
Hi All,
We are 12 ASO cubes in each server and each cube have minimum 5-6 months data .Normal aggregation data preview is taking lot of time .So we are planing to do design aggregation .We have a small doubt about this aggregation like
**1)its going to be do every time we load the data into cubes or once we do this it will create automatically**
**2)Suppose this month we have loaded 2 months data into cubes after that we perform design aggregation .Then again next month we load the 2 months data into cubes . again we need to do total 4 months design aggregation or is there is any method we can do partial design aggregation or incremental design aggregation .i.eLike already we have done the design aggregation so i want to do only next two months not total 4 months **
Kindly let me know if any automation process available for this .

Which version are you using?
1) Do you reset the cube(clear the data) whenever you re-load your cube?
If yes, you can't expect your earlier aggregations be still there. However, if you've saved your agg. selections & outline is more/less the same, you can materialize the aggs. by using the saved script.
If your load is an incremental one, the changes that take place to your outline matters a lot as they may invalidate your previous agg. selections.
2) As more Lev0 data starts flowing in, you've to periodically monitor for the trade-off b/n agg. time/space and performance requirements. The only thing I know about incremental agg. for ASO is via enabling user query tracking & doing the necessary aggs.

Cube-style Express to a Netgear router
I want to connect an old cube-style Express to a netgear router network. Wired or wireless. Wired is fine, maybe better. I just need to get iTunes to an audio receiver's audio inputs. It was working but with error messages so I reset the cube and now I have nothing. (I should have left well enough alone) When I 'Configure other" it requests "Address & Password" Of what and where do I get that info? Help files have not been helpful. Any help connecting is appreciated.

I need help again, I'm doing a dimension build of three dimensions on a v11.1.2.1 and I get an error.
This is an Aggregate Storage cube, the initial steps I do is, I unlock all objects, reset the cube to clear data and then clear aggregates.
I then disable connections to the cube, and then start building dimensions, below is the spool file with the errors:

When I search on the error code 1007083 and 1090004, and I see something related to opening a file:
Essbase Error 1090004 - Unable To Open File [%s]
Essbase Error 1007083 - Dimension build failed. There are many possible causes (for example, problem allocating memory). Check the server log file to locate the error that caused the failure.
I checked the Essbase server log, and I do not see anything helpful.
Can anyone tell me what the issue could be, if you have seen such errors before?

If yes, try replacing your import database scripts without showing the file path.
One of your lines:

I am new to the G4 cube, so hopefully this is an easy fix. Im using the vga out into my dell E173FP, and everything worked great. For some reason I fooled with the resolution setting for the monitor to see what else was available, now when I turn on my cube I see the grey startup screen, than the monitor goes black. In fact right when I changed the graphics setting the monitor went black. Is there anyway to reset the cube to its default resolution settings?
Thanks!I did that now I can see the opening screen but than the monitor turns black after it loads. Haha I wish I wouldn't have messed with it in the first place. I'm pretty sure I did it right, is there anyway to boot it up from the programmers screen in a safe mode, or some how reset it, because I can get that screen to show up.

BPM chart (process cube) not displaying data from business indicators
SOA/BPM Gurus,
I need some pointers for the below problem.
I am trying to do a basic BPM tutorial of generating a chart out of business indicators. I am creating a custom dashboard in the BPM workspace for the Request Quote process. The problem is that after I create the chart definition in BPM workspace, the charts do not pull any data for the business indicators. Here are the high level steps that I have performed:
1. Created a Request Quote process with typical steps such as - 1. Submission of Quote by Sales Rep; 2. Business Practices approval; 3. Deal & Contract Terms approval; 4.Save Quote.
2. I created 3 business indicators - Revenue Dimension, Industry Dimension, discount
3. After deployment, submitted a few quote requests through to final SaveQuote step.
4. Added a script task just before the Save Quote step to initialize these indicators from the corresponding elements from quote.xsd
5. Using the Sales Rep user, created a custom page and created a Data Source (Bar graph) with series=Revenue Dimension, Group=Industry, Variable=discount (operation=avg). The data type is Activity & measurement Sampling.
Initially I thought that the cause for data not being shown up is that the business indicators are not being initialized at all. But then I debugged this by writing the business indicators to the file on the SaveQuote step; the file generated did print all the correct values for the business indicators proving that they are being initialized.
Also, just to check whether the graph is picking any data at-all, I changed the data source to Work load per process and work load per participant and checked whether it shows transactions being created for the RequestQuote; the gragh did show data.

and is there any way to check in which TABLE the id is created.

I face a problem in delta resetting...need your help... Thanks..
I have an ODS-1 which has target cube1, cube2, cube3....One week back a new target has been added as ODS-2....All complete data from ODS1 has been piped into ODS 2..(Note.. ODS2 has many more inputs from other cubes/ODS too)
NO issues till now....
I found a data problem in ODS-1 which got loaded 15 days back..... I have removed all 15 requests from cube1, cube2 and cube3... Now I am trying to reset the delta in ODS1...
I am getting the following error....Infoprovide ODS2 still contains request... Delete this first....
Since ODS2 has many other data alongwith ODS1... If I try deleting request from ODS2,, I need to clean it totally and redo... I dont want to do this...
Is there any way to disconnect this delta link between ODS1 - ODS2..... So that I will reload the data in ODS1 and populate into all targets...

I dont think you can disconnect the link. just delete the requests originating from ODS1 in ODS2 and you can leave all other requests intact that are from other dataproviders and do a reinit. -

Data mart status has beed reset by del the in between req in source ODS
Hi SDN,
We have a situation where in which there is a daily delta laod going from ODS to Cube and we have reset data mart status accidentally by deleting the request which is in between multiple number of requests in the source ODS, now when we deleted the requests in ODS we got a POP asking for 'do you want to delete the data in cube' we went with on that POP up, after that when we see in the manage of the source ODS the datamart status is not seen for all the requests that have been loaded to target cube. Then we have reconstructed the data for the deleted request from the PSA.
Next day when a new laod comes into ODS then will the ODS send the correct delta update to target Cube.
If correct delta is not updated to cube is there any method that we can follow to maintain the data consistency with out deleting the data in the target cube.

You dekleted Data in Cube and loaded,but Ddata Mart is not appearing in ODS. So if you have all data in ODS, delete data in Cube and then just delete datamart layer in ODS and right click and click on Update data in DataTarget, then fresh request will update to Cub , this is Init only then Deltas will go from net day onwards.

Data transfer from G4 cube to MacBook Pro w/ Snow Leopard
Hi,
I just purchased a MacBook Pro Friday and was able to successfully transfer my data from my Cube (OS 10.4.11) via Migration Assistant after the second attempt. Unfortunately, this MacBook encountered constant Prohibitive Screen errors even after re-installing Leopard OS requiring me to exchange it. Now with the second new MBP, I can get the firewire connection established w/ Cube HD mounting but the MBP just spins as it tries to get to the next window (selecting the data to transfer over.) The first time I tried it w/ the second MBP, I got a message that there was no OS on the cube. The cube works perfectly fine. The multiple later attempts - nothing but a spinning circle. (P.S. Mac already shipped off the first MBP to be reset so that's not an option to retrieve the data from.)
I looked into transfering via ethernet but I do not have the install DVD that is required for it (unless I'm mis-reading it.) Any suggestions? From reading the other queries, users seem to have issues getting the connection established. I am able to do so and was able to transfer the data once before, but now nothing.
I'm completely clueless re: the other suggestions of creating networks, encasing the HD, etc.
If all else fails, what can I do w/ my Cube? I don't want to sell it and ideally would like to use it as a separate drive.
