Reset/Clear Number Format

Hi, I have used my phone overseas with a USA sim card.
Now when I text some people in Australian (from Australia) the phones persists in using the USA number format for text messages - as a result they do not sent
I tried using the overseas sim card to change the phone number format back to Australian, no luck.
I have deleted the contact and all references to them, disabled spotlight search, turned the phone off and on - still no luck.
Any thoughts on how to clear the memory?

That link is what I had originally come across. I tried using the AFNumber_Format, but if I'm not mistaken, that still sets the format to a Javascript function. I'm trying to reset the format to "Number" (as if I had selected "Number" from the "Select format category" instead of "Custom" in the interface)
My goal is to set the PDF up to work without Javascript if the user has it disabled, and enable the javascript functions on startup if they do have it enabled. On closing the document, I want to reset everything to the non-javascript settings so the next time it is opened up by them (or someone else), it will work again if that person doesn't have Javascript enabled. In my limited researching into this, I am starting to think that this is not doable.

Reset Cleared Items - for huge number of line items

Hi Everyone,
Is there any way where we could reset cleared items for one clearing document (cleared close to 19000 line items) aside from FBRA? Perhaps another program which can be executed in the background? We are timing out due to the sheer volume of data.
Are there any other options that we can explore?

Hi Tony,
Unfortunately, it is not an executable program in background when we do SE38. Since it has no selection screens, we cannot setup a variant as well. In FBRA, you are only allowed to hit save as soon as you confirm that you want the clearing reset. It is during this time when we hit the time out.
We have thought of this as well but asking the basis team to extend the time out session would probably be hard to get due to stringent approvals needed.

Error Rounding Difference too high when reset cleared document using FBRA

My Client has posted cleared document with T_Code F-51. This cleared document has cleared 6040 open items.
And now, they want to reset and reverse that cleared document.
We found error "Rounding difference too high" when we are reset cleared document using FBRA.
Kindly need your advice.

I need to reset clearing items from ABAP. I've tried to use the CALL_FBRA, but in simulation mode I it says that the period is closed? what parameters should I use? is this the way??

The posting period should not be a problem. If I go manually to the FBRA tx via SAPGUI, and I enter one document number whose date is in a closed period and select "reset only", it resets the document automatically without problems. It works.
BUT, if I try to use the call_fbra, for that same document, it says that the posting period is closed. If I try to specify a date for I_STODT, to make call_fbra use this, it keeps saying the posting period is closed for mode 01...but I'm not specifing any mode...in fact, I don't know how to specify it.
Any clues.

Number formats in SAPSCRIPT

Hi. I'm having an issue when using SAPSCRIPT where I'm getting a run-time error on my form printing if the dollar amount for the field being passed is greater than 1,000. Within my form I have a PERFORM command that calls a routine in a custom program. I am passing the value of &MSEG-DMBTR& into the custom program and if it's over $1,000 it passes with both the comma and the decimal place...meaning it passes 1,200.50. If the value is less than $1,000 (meaning no comma has to be sent) it works find. The error that I receive says:
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER', was not
caught in
procedure "FETCH_PRICE" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The program attempted to interpret the value " 2,479.60 " as a number, but
since the value contravenes the rules for correct number formats,
this was not possible.
Has anyone else faced this, and if so how was it resolved? I hope that my explanation is clear.

Hi,
Always use the character variable for printing instead of using numeric variables. So ensure that the valus returned by your custom program is assigned to this character variable before using WRITE_FORM.

Can I completely reset /clear the bluetooth subsystem / device database?

I have a Canon MP600 printer/scanner and connected a bluetooth dongle to it (the official Canon part) for the first time today. Unfortunately the user guide omits a few important details and the net result is that both a Mac Pro (early 2008, BT module included) and Macbook Pro (~late 2006, Leopard upgraded) appear to have become very confused about what to do with it.
Initially, contrary to its documentation, the printer ships with bluetooth security turned off. So, my Mac Pro connected to it happily without requesting a passkey and I printed a test page OK. The laptop wouldn't see the printer, though; it seemed that without security features turned on, the printer would only allow one computer to connect. I dug around in the printer's settings (it has an LCD screen so you configure it on-device), found the security option, enabled it and set a passkey (a 4 digit number in this particular printer's case).
Using bluetooth preferences on the Mac Pro, I removed the printer from the device list, then re-ran the setup assistant. It saw the printer, immediately recognising its name (the first time ever, the machine showed the address first, then the name a while later). It prompted for the passkey at the "gathering information" stage. In bluetooth preferences, the printer icon was showing 'Connected' status. At the "To complete the set up..." stage of the setup assistant, I named the printer, clicked on Continue, and watched the printer status suddenly change to not connected. The setup assistant re-showed the "To complete the set up..." page; I set the same name again; this time, I was taken to a page saying "You did not configure any of the available services for your Bluetooth device". Huh?! Extended information on the device in BT preferences says says that it's configured and paired, but not connected. Searching for the error message on Google produces literally no hits, which is a rare thing indeed.
Worse still, the laptop now does exactly the same thing. I've even tried turning off security entirely on the printer, power cycling it and rebooting both machines, but now neither will properly talk to the printer ever again. They just flicker through these strange "Not connected -> connected -> not connected" cycles and refuse to proceed with the obscure "You did not configure..." message.
Given that the Mac Pro successfully printed via this printer at least once, I should be at least able to get the thing to work again with security settings turned off (inadvisable though this is). But Leopard refuses. It's caching some data about the printer somewhere and this is screwing things up.
So, the short part of my very long question is: How do I totally reset the bluetooth software and/or hardware subsystem / device database so that it has no "prior knowledge" or expectations of devices which it detects?

Replying to my own message for the sake of search engine archives.
I have not found a way to reset/clear the 'knowledge' that the Bluetooth system seems to keep of devices once it's talked to them, or, therefore, a solution to the strange Bluetooth setup assistant behaviour. Curiously, though, the 'not connected' issue with the printer doesn't seem to stop it from being printed to.
Having rebooted a few times, I printed a web page accidentally (! - I meant to save as PDF from the print dialogue box) and the device brought itself on line, received the data and printed, then dropped offline again. So it seems to be working fine. My guess would be that the online/offline behaviour is actually a normal feature of the way this particular device works, while the strange setup assistant behaviour is its way of saying that the device is already set up and working so it has nothing else it needs to do.

Coverting number formats to internal representation

I need a function module that will convert number format to internal representation. I am writing a program where based on the region that the program is been executed, the number could be 1,000.000 or 1.000,000 or 1 000,000. I need to convert them to internal representation 1000.000 so I can use it for dat manipulation

Select the option "parts of clearing" and "retain distribution to accounts". Click on Save and then you will be given the option for which part of the document you want to perform reset-clear. Select that line item and then save.

COPA line item report, Number format -output type - object list(ALV).

I am preparing COPA line item report. I want to change number format (two decimal place). I did the changes in form level then I did the changes in drill down report as well and saved as save definition.
But changes are not reflecting in- output type - object list(ALV).

I want to Reset cleared item document in 2006, but now Im in active fiscal year 2008 using T-code FBRA. The error message show Reversal in different fiscal year is not allowed Message no. AA 487

When we maintain GL accounts/sub ledgers with open item management, we clear docuemnts when the debit and the credit match. This clearing also creates a clearing document. Clearing documents cannot be reversed using F.08. For reversing clearing we need to first reset the documents as open items and then reverse it.
For example I have an invoice no 1234. This invoice will remain open till i receive a payment. When I receive a payment a new document is created (no. 5678) when i enter the receipt and this document also becomes the clearing document. Now due to some error, when we have to reverse this payment document, we use FBRA. When we use this, the system will first reset the documents 1234 and 5678 as open items and then reverse the document 5678.

what is the difference between reset cleared itmes and reset & reverse cleared items in fbra , please let me know.

When items are open-item managed and you have mistakenly cleared an item, this transaction can be used to reset these cleared items. If in the process of clearing the item a document was created, this document should most probably also be reversed. FBRA allows you to complete both these functions in one transaction codes. An example is if you run the payment program F110 and you have created the payment medium, but have not yet printed checks (that would be a different t-code), and you realized that some items are either missing or should not be on the check. You will need to reset the documents DR and reverse the document DZ.

Problem with the number format in the graph axis with Report Generation Toolkit.

I'm trying to use the Report Generation Toolkit to plot some graphs in Excel.
My first problem is that I don't know how to configure the number format in the Excel Set Graph Font.vi so that my numbers are correctly displayed in the graph's axis. The only given option is general (0,0) but this is not enough for me, my numbers can get really small so I need engineering notation or fraccional format.
Second: I also insert a table with the graph source data, but the numbers are not correctly displayed either: for example:
0,75 is shown as:
0,750000
but 1,25 is shown as:
1!250!000
My guess is I am making to much or wrong string to number conversions or Excel is getting it wrong but I can't find my way...
Can someone help me with this?

Number formatting issue in Web intelligence report

Folks ,
I've an object called ' Serial number' (12 digits long) but when I set this in query filter as a prompt number format gets changed.
Similar like this:
whereas I am expecting to see 123456789123 something like this.
I made sure that object data type is number while designing universe as well as also format the object ( using format object option) and set as ############. ( 12times #) to forced as 12 digits number.
When I drag this object in 'result objects' results shows fine but if i add this as 'Query Filters' number gets changed as above pic.
Any advise ?

Number format issue in XML Publisher from OAF (',.' is replaced by 'u n')

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in XML Publisher report. In report I need to display some number fields with 'USD' format. In RTF, data type 'Number' and format '###,##0.00' is selected. If I run concurrent program from oracle core forms using System Administrator > Concurrent > Request, I am able to get correct number format.
Ex : 123456.00 After Number format : 123,456.00
Also its working fine from XML Publisher Administrator responsibility (using Preview).
But problem is when I submit the concurrent request through OAF, I am not getting correct data. ',' is replace by 'u' and '.' is replace by 'n'.
Ex: 123456.00 In Report 123u456n00
Checked profile value : ICX: Numeric Character and its set to 1,000.00 at site level.
Do I need to set character set anywhere in OAF before calling concurrent program?
I tried to use "alter session set nls_numeric_character = ',.';" by calling stored procedure from OAF. But still its not working.
Please give me solution for this.
