Reset Recorder File Name Counter

The default voice recorder in S60 seems to keep a count of the records you make (To avoid conflicts and overwrites)
Is there any way to reset this count so it will begin counting from 0 again (Voice Record, Voice Record 01, Voice Record 02, etc.)
I can reset a similar count in the camera by reseting it's settings but I couldnt' find something similar in the voice recorder.

The given script looks very promising and I guess for my task it would be specially the second part of the script which would be relevant for me - to analyse the current free/next number and then use this determined name as file saving name
// determine the number;
  var thePlaces = 1;
  var theNumber = bufferNumberWithZeros(1, thePlaces)
  while (File(docPath+"/"+baseName+"_"+theNumber+".jpg").exists == true) {
  theNumber = bufferNumberWithZeros(Number(theNumber) + 1, thePlaces);
//save jpg;
  thecopy.saveAs((new File(docPath+"/"+baseName+"_"+theNumber+".jpg")),jpgopts,true);
  thecopy.close(SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES);
BUT HOW can I implement this logic into the action or if needed - reverse - how can I call such a script (where to put it to and in what format) during my "normal" photoshop layer selection work? Sorry - maybe a very stupid question but I am not really firm with scripts. Only with actions and batching them....
Above you can see how I work - I have a photoshop psd file with many layers and I look throught them and which suits the purpose gets saved - calling my action "....." which I shortcut with F3   - but how would this work via a script..... - maaaaaaaaaany thanks for your guidance - the way with the script sounds perfectly promising :-)
kind regards from Innsbruck

  • Camera Roll and Resetting Photo File Names

    Because of the improved camera, I've just started using the iPhone as a reasonable substitute for carrying round a digital camera, but I've recently noticed that the file name counter keeps getting reset. There is no memory of what the last photo was called before the Camera Roll was emptied.  This is a problem as I end up with loads of duplicate file names like IMG_0001.JPG, etc.  Surely there must be a way of avoiding this happening.

    Camera roll is your for keeps photo album. Photo stream is meant to be temporary to give you time to download the photos to your other devices is you want to.

  • Photo File Names Reset After Every Synch with iPhoto

    I have iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.0.1
    This only started happening in the last couple weeks: every time I synch-and-delete my photos with iPhoto (6.0.6), it resets the "file name" counter on the photos I take on the phone. I've been using this version of iPhoto and synch-and-delete as my photo saving method since I got the phone and before it would always remember the last photo number taken. Now I am ending up with dozens of photos in my library called "IMG_0001" etc, which is very frustrating when I want to move photos anywhere as a batch.
    Is this a new "feature" for iOS4? I can't find any settings that could be causing it on the phone.

    I noticed the same problem today when I tried to export my iphone pictures from iphoto into a folder with other iphone pictures from last week.
    I have an iphone 4 running 4.0.2

  • Dynamic file name in Export: XML

    I am generating a SQL report on a page that can be exported as XML File and It seems to me the file name come from the name of the report region by default and I 'd like use a value of an item as the XML file name.
    I tried to put &P15_ITEM. as name of report region, then the XML file name I got is: p15_item[1]..xml. But if I change the Report Template back to Standard Template, the region name displays the value of P15_ITEM.
    So, my question is, Is ther anyway we could reset the file name of the XML file, such as the value of an item, In Version 1.6.?

    Thank you Raj for the direction
    The way to do it is :
    1. In ID, advanced tab, put a check on the adapter-specific message attributes - file name.
    2. Put a "*" on the file name scheme
    3. In IR, create a UDF to set up target file name :
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
    .getTransformationParameters()
    .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    // set up file name for receiver adapter
    String SourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    conf.put(key, TargetFileName);
    return " ";
    4. Map the above UDF to the header level of the target structure.

  • Limit on the number of file names retrieved using FM 'RZL_READ_DIR_LOCAL'

    Hi All,
    I am using FM 'RZL_READ_DIR_LOCAL' , to retrieve file names from a specified directory.
    When executed, i am getting 10,000 records(file names) only against lakhs of files present in the directory.
    I would like to know if there is any limitation on the number of file names retrieved using that FM and how to over come it.
    Also please let me know if the FM 'EPS2_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING' also has any such limitations.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sreeni Vallem

    I did not know about this limitation of number of files returned. You can give a try to the external command way of doing it in your development system.  Well, creating 10001 files in development is a boring job . You can write a sample program as Rob has mentioned in this thread and copy files to a specific directory ABAP: Copy files from one R3 directory to another. This doesn't disturb the existing program written.
    Mean while let's wait for expert's reply.

  • Receiver file name with counter

    While working on proxy to file scenario. I have to maintain receiver file name as ddmmyyyyxxx_nnn.xml,where xxx is constant and nnn is a counter which is suppose to be reset everyday.Anybody can help me on how to achive this...?

    Hello Amit,
    Yes. You can achieve this but only using File - NFS Protocol.
    A new file is created for each document. The file name is extended with a counter, which is inserted before the file name extension (for example, default002.file). This selection is only available for the File System (NFS) transport protocol.
    Make specifications for Counter Definition:
    Prefix
    Specify one or more characters that you want to add before the counter in the file name.
    Format
    Specify the first counter to be used. It must be a valid integer number. Leading zeros are permitted.
    Step
    Specify the counter increment.
    Mode
    Specify when the counter is to be added.
    After First File
    The counter is added when the file name is used unaltered for the first time.
    Thanks

  • Counter in file name in receiver file adapter

    Hi,
    I am using FTP, my requirement is to add counter in the file name i.e XYZ001.
    And added to this i can increment the counter till XYZ020, after this i am supposed to start again from XYZ001.It will be some how handled that when i place XYZ001 for the second time , it will not overwrite the earlier one as it will be proccess by that time.
    I could have used addcounter but it doesnt work for FTP:(...also have seen /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2009/10/05/pixi-maintaining-sequence-numbers-in-file-name-scheme
    Do we have any new feature added in PI 7.1 for handling this.
    Regards,
    Abhi

    thanks shabz..
    Request you to please let me know how to proceed with the first option which you have mentioned i.e,how to create tables and will i be able to start the counter again from xyz001 once i reach xyz020? is there any abap code to be written (wiil be asking SAP counterpart ) or we need to do it in the dynamic configuration udf? Please let me know how to do the same.
    1. Maintain a table in SAP. Use/Code a RFC call to look up the sequence number from this table, incrementing the value after it is read. The result is then used in a dynamic configuration code, and the file name can be generated at that point.
    Will this impact performance ?..mine is a credit card authentication interface and response time is imp...

  • Sender File Adapter- Incrementing the counter in file name

    Hello,
    We have a requirement to read a different file name with every read. Every subsequent file would have a numeric counter updated when we receive it, we need to read that file as the directory would hold the previous files as well.
    File structure :- EP<counter>.txt ; so first file would be EP001.txt, next one would be EP002.txt.
    How could i do this in Sender file adapter, as there is no variable substitution available like receiver file adapter.
    I cannot use wild card characters as the directory would contain previous files as well and we ned to pick the latest file.
    Regards

    Hi,
    >>How could i do this in Sender file adapter, as there is no variable substitution available like receiver file adapter.
    Yes true this is not available in sender channel
    >>I cannot use wild card characters as the directory would contain previous files as well and we ned to pick the latest file.
    You can use EP* as the filename and use processing mode as Set to Read-Only

  • Add Counter to File name when using Tran Protocol as FTP

    Hi There,
    Was wondering if there was any way to achive the same "Add Counter"  functionality used for File names in Reciever file adapter when we are using FTP as the transport protocol, this option is only provided in NFS,
    My requirement is ..
    Write files using counter on to ftp..
    say if three files already exists on the ftp server with names ...fname001, fname002 and fname003
    then the next time a file is written it should have a file name fname004 else fname001 if no file exists.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    No such standard functionality is available in communication channel...
    But you can try customizing ur scenario in one of the following ways...
    Case 1: If a field in source data carries the information regarding the sequence.
    You can map this value ( Directly .. or using some transformation ) in some temporary field in the target and then use a Variable substitution at the receiver communication channel.
    Case 2. If the source file name carries the sequence information. then you can enable the Adapter specific settings in the Sender communication channel , and then get the information of the source file name using the Container object in the mapping. Then assign the sequence number to a field in the target , use a Variable substitution at the receiver communication channel.
    Case 3 : If Case 1 and Case 2 are not applicable ... then you have to use a Ztable to store the sequence number , a function module to fetch the number , and then use a UDF in which you will implement the RFC call logic.Then the same process .... assign the sequence number to a field in the target , use a Variable substitution at the receiver communication channel.

  • File name in control record of Idoc

    Hello All,
    I have come across a requirement for File to IDOC scenario where File name picked from dynamic configuration is to be stored in control record of IDOC. As file name is more than 45 chars long, I need to use a long field.
    Can you I use ARCKEY, SNDLAD or RCVLAD fields or there is some restriction to use these fields, means will it impact something?
    Regards
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,
    I understand that your requirement is to store name of picked up file in SAP system.
    Can you I use ARCKEY, SNDLAD or RCVLAD fields or there is some restriction to use these fields, means will it impact something?
    You can use them if you are sure that it would not affect routing routines and message processing in SAP ECC.

  • Add Counter at the end of file name

    Hi all,
       I am using NFS protocol and trying to add counter at the end of the file. I have given the Prefix as  '-'
    Format : 1
    Step: 1
    Mode: After First File
    Is the prefix is right? Am i giving the values in right way? Please help me.
    The format required is: test_1.xml
    Thanks,
    Sri

    HI Arun,
    I m not so sure but i think prefix can not have any special character.
    You can do this by giving your file name in target->file name schema as File_* while configuring your communication channel.
    After that it will add automatically your required counter.
    thanks.

  • How to add page count of PDF to the file name?

    I need help with an applescript that can look at a pdf, determine the page count in file and then add that value to the end of the file name in front of the .pdf
    ex.
    original name "map with pages4c.pdf"
    renamed "map with pages4c_48.pdf"
    Any help would be appreciated or suggestions on how this could be done.
    Thanks,
    John

    Hello
    That's quite simple.
    Just replace this chunk of code -
    tell application "Finder"
    set n to f's name
    set f's name to (n's text 1 thru -5) & "_" & p & ".pdf"
    end tell
    with -
    if 10 > p then set p to "0" & p
    tell application "Finder"
    set n to f's name
    set f's name to (n's text 1 thru -5) & "_" & p & ".pdf"
    end tell
    By the way, if there are 10000 files in directory tree, I'm afraid Finder is too slow to get files list. In order to avoid Apple Events timeout error, at least, replace this line -
    tell o to run
    with -
    with timeout of 3600 seconds
    tell o to run
    end timeout
    Or try the following script, which employs find(1) instead of Finder to get files list.

    --SCRIPT3
    on run

  • Track file usage by recording PC name?

    Is there any way for a pdf form file to record the PC name everytime it is opened on a new pc?

    Under system information there is usually some sort of computer id or name but even if I could record user name of the person that loged in that would work to. I don't need to know for sure who did or didn't open it, just a general idea of where it has been.

  • Sequence number/counter in File name using FTP

    Hi
    I have to add sequence number in the file name. How can i do that? everytime file generates it should pick up the latest file number.
    Example File1 File2 File3. 1,2 and 3 are the sequnce number.
    Regards

    Hi ria,
             You can do this by dynamic file creation. Use this following code and cretate an UDF. The map the required file format to the target header structure as below;
    UDF
    sequence number:
    IDENTIFIER is the parameter
    Import com.bp.xi.util.*;
    Code:
    return ServiceUtil.getSequenceValue( IDENTIFIER, container, false );
    Dynamic file:
    Key & Value is the parameter
    Code:
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get( StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION );
    DynamicConfigurationKey confkey = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File",  Key );
    conf.put( confkey, Value );
    return "";
    Input parameter "Key" is given a constant value"FileName"
    Second parameter "Value" is the file pattern
    Mapping
    Constant(File)concat function sequence numberUDF ==> Dynami File udf ==>target header record.
    In the receiver communication channel check the adapter specific function, filename
    points if useful

    Murugavel
