Resetting sdm password

I have lost my sdm password. Pls help to reset the password.

SDM Password Reset Steps:
1. Goto command prompt and move to the following dir: C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<nr>\SDM\program>
2. Type sdm jstartup "sdmhome=C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<nr>\SDM\program" "mode=standalone"
3. sdm changepassword "sdmhome=C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<nr>\SDM\program" "newpassword=admin"
4. sdm jstartup "sdmhome=C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<nr>\SDM\program" "mode=integrated"
5. Restart the server instance (complete restart - JEE engine, SDM, deployment tool, etc.)

Hi Suman,
The SDM password is stored as an irreversible hash in the SDM repository. Therefore, editing the hashed value of the password is not advisable and may not necessarily resolve SDM log-in problems.
To change the SDM password, you can use the SDM command line interface instead. The syntax for changing the SDM password is the following:
sdm changepassword sdmhome=<...> newpassword=<...> [password=]
where the parameter password is the old password. Since 6.30 SP5, this parameter has been set optional so that the password can be changed without reference to its current value. Consult the SDM Command Line Interface Manual in /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/SDM/program/doc/SDMCommandLineDoc630_en_final.pdf, for more information.
Also, follow up with SAP notes 756084 and 701654.

SDM password error and go.bat error.

Hi SAP EP gurus..
I installed SAP Netwevaer Enterprise portal(2004s) in my desktop PC. Its installed successfully. Then i started the server also, its also started successfully. Then i installed SAP Netweaver Developer studio in my PC..Its also installed successfully. Then whenever i tried to execute some small web dynpro application its gives error password or username is incorrect. I am using SAP Netweaver 2004s..This i downlaoded from www.sdn.sap.com.I logged in to portal http://sapep:50100/irj ..... It asked me to change the password. I chaged the password also, password is india123 now. This is passowrd i gave to SDM. Its not accepting. I tried to start the visual administrator(go.bat). I am getting an error message that.. The system cannot find the path specified. Program terminated abnormally.Press any key to continue....
if i will press any key..nothing was happening.
Please help me solve this problem ASAP..

Here one drawback is there in SAP EP.
If you change password for Administrator in UME, this same password will not work for SDM by default. You have to change it, for that just follow below steps:
SDM Password Reset
==================
Just enter following lines in your COMMAND LINE:
1. enter SDM directory as: cd C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program
2. Execute the following (just copy-paste)
sdm jstartup "sdmhome=C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program" "mode=standalone"
3. Execute following line (replacing Password1 with your new password for SDM)
sdm changepassword "sdmhome=C:\usr\sap/J2E/JC00/SDM/program" "newpassword=Password1"
4. I suggest also revert SDM back to integrated mode
sdm jstartup "sdmhome=C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program" "mode=integrated"
5. Start SDM using commnad as "StartServer.bat"

First check if your SDM is running or not?
You can also reset the SDM password to login.
follow the steps as mentioned:
1. Goto SDM directory:
cd C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program

3. execute following line (replace "password" with your new password for SDM)

4. sdm jstartup "sdmhome=C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program" "mode=integrated"

Then try to access using new password.

How do i reset the password for cisco DMM 5.1 hardware machine

Dear All,
I have a cisco DMM 5.1 with some players installed on it, I can login to the dmm 5.1 via web browser but I cannot login the hardware directly through the console, I dont have the password for the console access, Could any one please help me resetting the password for the cisco DMM 5.1 physica server keeping the data and the configuration on the server intact.?

If you have lost your "admin" account password, it can be recovered using the "pwadmin" account as documented at the following link:

If you have lost your "pwadmin" password as well, you'll need to open a TAC case and get a "DMS 5.1 pwadmin reset" ISO image via TAC. You can then boot the appliance with the provided CD to reset the "pwadmin" password, then login as "pwadmin" and reset the "admin" password from there.

It's real easy to create a new one and, in fact, it's too easy. I say that because multiple IDs are a PIA. The problem is that anything obtained from the iTunes Store is PERMANENTLY associated with the ID that was used to obtain the item(s). iTunes items can not be transferred from one ID to another and IDs can not be merged.
The problem arises when you want to update an app. If you're doing it from iTunes on your computer, you must log out and back in to get to the correct ID. Then you update and log out/in again to get back to where you started. It's slightly easier if you update from the iPad/iPod device as there is no need to log out/in BUT you still need the correct password for the appropriate ID. Of course, with a disabled ID, the problem is much worse!
A replacement Apple ID makes sense ONLY if you wish to start out absolutely brand new with zero iTunes Store purchases.
If you're really butting your head aginst a wall and you're reasonably close to an Apple Store, my suggestion is that you make an appointment with the resident "Genius" and get his/her help.
One last thought... If your brother actually got a human on the phone to dispute the charges, go there and explain the problem. Of course, if Apple did not accept his explanation of what occurred, that could be the whole issue. Apple believes that money is owed on the account!

A while back I had to set up a second apple ID in order to use the iCloud. So now I have two (annoying), and from what I'm reading on forums, this has happened to many people and you still can't merge accounts. But I digress.
Apparently the apps in question were purchased on one apple ID, but the phone had the other apple ID set within the app store. The store, it seems, will only update the apps if you're logged in as the account that initially purchased the apps. So it means going to Settings > Store > Log out, then log back in with the other ID. Annoying. But at least I know, now, what's going on.
The password, it seems, was right all along (since I have the same password for both IDs). Too bad the phone's error message told me the password was incorrect, instead of saying something more useful like "This apple ID is not authorized to update this app." Or ... something like that. Apparently I've been chasing down the wrong solution due to the wrong error message being given.
