Resource Delegation Not Working

On Exchange 2010 SP3 RU8v2, for the life of me I can't figure out why resource delegation is not functioning as expected.  The issue is that the approval email is not being sent to the delegate but instead it's sitting in the resource's inbox.
I verified with a bunch of articles and it should be quite straight forward to set this up:
1. Create room resource
2. "Specify users who are allowed to submit in-policy meeting requests that will be automatically approved" - Check, Selected recipients, (blank)
3. "Specify who can submit in-policy meeting requests that are subject to approval by a resource mailbox delegate"  - Check, All users
4. "Enable the Resource Booking Attendant..." - Uncheck
5. Add user to "Specify delegates of this mailbox"
6. "Forward meeting requests to delegates" - Check
7. Set-CalendarProcessing -Identity test-room2 -AutomateProcessing:None
Under this configuration, all users adding the resource into the meeting request will trigger an approval email to the delegate but it's simply not working.  Why?

Hi,
The "Enable the Resource Booking Attendant..." should be checked in the resource mailbox delegate configuration. We also can run the following command in EMS:
Set-CalendarProcessing -Identity test-room2 -AutomateProcessing AutoAccept
Then check whether the issue persists.

    I am trying to get delegation working but it seems to not want to work. I had to play with my SSL certificate settings, and i'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.... are there any config files for the ical server other than the one at etc/caldavd/caldavd.conf?
    has anyone else had problems with delegation?
    basically what happens is that when i try to add a user by their short or long name to my delegates list, it fails. says it can't find the user. I dont see anything in the caldavd error log that relate to this at all, or at least i don't think they are involved. i do get a bunch of these:

  • Database Resource Plan not working...

    DbVersion: 10.2.0.4
    For some reason my resource plan is not taking effect. I've created 4 resource consumer groups. I've created a plan utilizing these consumer groups. The plan is enabled and is the top plan. The resource_manager_plan parameter is set to: FORCE:MYPLAN and I've also tried setting it to "MYPLAN" only.
    The Consumer Group mappings have been set at the service level. So depending on the database service you're connecting via you should be using a particular consumer_group.
    The problem is that everyone that connects regardless of what service they are using is routed to use the "OTHER_GROUPS" group (except for the sys and system users).
    I find this information with the following query:"
    SELECT USERNAME,SERVICE_NAME,RESOURCE_CONSUMER_GROUP FROM GV$SESSION;
    What am I missing? Do I need to bounce the database or something in order for a resource plan to take effect?

  • Windows NT Resource Does Not Work With Minimum PWD Length

    Here is the environment...
    IDM 5.0 SP3
    Gateway install on Windows 2003 Server
    Resource is a Windows NT resource on Windows 2003 Server
    When I try to create a new user on the Windows 2003 server with the Minimum Password Length > 0 in the local security policy, I receive the following error.
    Unable to set user info: 'SetInfo(): 0X800708C5: , , The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements.
    If I set the Minimum Password length to 0, then it can create the user just fine.
    Any suggestions? Is there a patch for the gateway that will allow me to create users with a Minimum password length policy on Windows 2003 Server?

    When I authenticate myself with the winnt authentification, I always get an javascipt error when I call the "Theme editor".
    What could cause this problem.
    The change of the vm does not help.

  • Hyper-V: Kerberos Constrained Delegation not working - unable to create VHD on SMB 3.0 share

    I have created a simple, three server Hyper-V environment with two Hyper-V servers and a file server.  The file server is providing shared storage over SMB.  I have configured Constrained Delegation as per the instructions found on a TechNet blog.
    However, I cannot create VMs from my Windows 8.1 workstation running the Windows 8.1 RSAT.  I get the following error:
    New-VM : Failed to create the virtual hard disk.
    The system failed to create '\\SERVER\VHDStore\Hyper-V\VH02\Virtual Hard Disks\Disk1.vhdx': General access denied error (0x80070005).
    You do not have permission to perform the operation. Contact your administrator if you believe you should have

    I have configured delegation on each of the Hyper-V servers to allow the service CIFS on the file server.  The permissions on the shared folder allow full control to both the Hyper-V servers and the end-user account.  I see not specific errors
    in the event logs on any of the servers involved.  
    Where else can I look too determine what is failing and why?

    They are all joined domain right ?
    As you mentioned two hyper-v host computer name and the user which logging on to the Win8.1 have the full control on that shared folder , that user is still in hyper-v administrators/administrators group of hyper-v hosts.
    Please try to log on hyper-v host locally use that user account then try to create a file into the shared folder first .

  • "Find Resources" does not work after Application Builder Installer

    I use Lv Full 6.1 / Appl.Builder 6.1
    VISA:"Find Resources" acts properly as long as a built application is installed on a PC that has LV installed.
    as soon as only the runtime eng. is installed no resources are found.

I tried to install the VISA runtime engine via the "Run executable after installation" but it appears to run the Visa-runtime-engine-installer before ending the application installation. So I had to run that installer manually. Nevertheless you pushed me in the right direction.

    I'm using Audition CS5.5 on a Windows 7 machine and I'm having trouble with downloading certain sound effects from the Resource Central panel.  I can play a preview for every file, however I get an error message when I try to download..."We're sorry, but there was a communicating error with the server. Please try again and if the problem persists, contact Adobe Technical Support. (200) error: 0"
    Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

    For example:
    I can listen to the the Sound Effects preview of "Liquid Water Water Splash 11" or "Liquid Water Water Splash Small 02" but when I try to download it I get the error that I mentioned above.
    What's frustrating is that I can preview AND download the Sound Effects for "Ambience Air Conditioner 180 01" and "Ambience Air Conditioner Level Three 01"...but I don't want these SFX right now.
    Any ideas about why Resource Central in Audition is behaving erratically?

  • Project resources with different working weeks

    Hi All, 
    I have a project with resources in different locations (Australia and the Middle East) who have different work weeks. 
    Australia (Monday-Friday)
    Middle East (Sunday-Thursday)
    Basically, common work week is Monday-Thursday, while the Australian resources do not work Sat/Sun, and the Middle East resources do not work Fri/Sat. 
    I need to be able to schedule work for both resources, but I can't find a way to allocate work weeks in this way as it appears that work weeks is a global setting. Is there a way around this with holidays that i'm not seeing? Anyone have a solution to this,
    I can't be the first person to run a project in this manner.

    This is a really excellent question, by the way, because it gets at the heart of how Microsoft Project really works.  Remember that Microsoft Project is a scheduling tool.  You give it the correctly scheduling information and it will figure out
    the correct schedule for every task in the project.
    To resolve your situation, begin by creating two new Base Calendars:  an Australian calendar and a Middle East calendar.  On the Australian calendar, set the work week to Monday - Friday.  For the Middle East Calendar, set the work week to
    Sunday - Thursday.  On your Standard calendar, leave the schedule set to Monday - Friday.
    Next, assign the correct Base Calendar to each resource in the project.  For resources from Australia, set the Australia calendar as their Base Calendar.  For resources in the Middle East, set the Middle East calendar as their Base Calendar.  This
    will ensure that Microsoft Project schedules tasks correct when you assign resources to them.
    Leave the Standard calendar set as the Project and Nonworking Time calendars in the project.  Even though it will only show work from Monday through Friday, it will not matter.  When you begin assigning resources to tasks, Microsoft Project will
    reschedule the task, if needed, using the schedule shown as the Base Calendar for each resource.  For example, you have a 5-day task with no resources currently scheduled to start on a Monday and finish on Friday.  If you assign an Australian resource
    to this task, the schedule will not change.  But if you assign a Middle East resource to the task, the schedule of the task will change automatically to reflect the working schedule of this resource.

    From error log it seems you have some custom or thrid party web part activated in your application and that web part is not able to load which might causing those pages to get corrupt.
    As a fix can suggest you below to two thing to check
    1) Remove that "FirePoint.SharePoint.RssViewerWebPart" from your environment and try to access those PWA pages again.
    2) Even after removing above web-part solution does not fix this issue, as it is quality env can you try to disconnect and reconnect the share-point farm . Then try to access those pages again.
    Share us the latest update and your finding on this issue.

  • ExpressCard/34 not working in BootCamp Windows 7 64-bit. Apple's BIOS emulation does not give enough resources.

    MacBook Pro unibody, 15" 2009
    ExpressCard/34 (Card is by Transcend TS-RDF1, JMicron chip for SD card) is not working in BootCamp Windows 7 64-bit. Windows reports:
    "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
    If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."
    Other data points: Card works fine in Mac OSX, worked under Windows XP 32-bit (initially reported same problem, but works after reboot).
    Checking the forums there seems to be no actual device suggested to actually remove that would help the problem. And even if it was, the concept is ridiculous. What other device would you like to remove? Display adapter? Network adapter? No way. I use all available devices and don't want to compromise.
    It seems like BIOS emulation does not allocate enough resources to ExpressCard.
    Are others having the same problem?
    Does anyone have a fix for this?
    Is there anyone at Apple who cares to provide a solution?

    It is not a driver problem, but a problem in the BIOS emulated by bootcamp on some (not all) MBP models. So unless Apple fixes it in bootcamp, there is no real solution. And obviously, Apple doesn't care. They are dropping the Expresscard slot anyway.

    The 2008/2009 Macbook Pros don't allow to use the ExpressCard slot because of EFI/Bootcamp errors (Windows Vista/7 cannot allocate an IRQ to the slot). You don't need any drivers for using an ExpressCard slot on Windows, you only need the drivers for the corresponding card you are using.
    Bootcamped XP allowed to use the slot, but you could not use hot-plugging.
    And from the Sonnet site ( http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo_sata_express34.html ) :
    Tempo SATA ExpressCard/34 not supported under Windows 7 or Windows Vista when running on unibody MacBook Pro computers. The problem is caused by the MacBook Pro's BIOS emulation, which doesn't allocate enough resources to support certain kinds of Expresscard/34 devices, such as a SATA controller, in these operating systems.

    In addition to the above answer by Toni Flückiger  check whether the properties are maintained in your specific language file too.
    Example: If you are modifying crm~b2b_resources.xlf maintain the same text in crm_b2b_resources_en.xlf too. If the application is picking the language as "en" then the properties are loaded from crm_b2b_resources_en.xlf and not from crm~b2b_resources.xlf

    Should the advice above not fix things for you...
    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Resource "NOT SNP RELEVANT" not working

    We are having Multi mixed resources in APO. These resources do not have "NOT SNP Relevant" flag set. So they show up in SNP PPMs when we convert from PPDS PPMs.
    We now want to remove resource from SNP PPMs and hence deleted the SNP PPMs and marked the resource as "NOT SNP RELEVANT". We again converted PPDS PPM to SNP PPM but we still the resource coming in SNP PPM even after checking the flag in the resource.
    Has anyone come across this issue?
    Please advise.

    This helped solve this problem. I maintained the flag in all the planning versions and it worked fine.
    I have another PPM for a different plant and the problem here I am facing is even when the "not SNP relevant" is unchecked the Resource is not seen in SNP PPM when converted from PPDS PPM. It is a multi-mixed resource.
    I am wondering if it a setting in the resource that would be causing it to drop from the SNP PPM. Any idea what could be the possible reasons.
