Response Group Not responding

Hi,
We have lync 2013 environement and we have configured Response Group Service in enviroement. Respnse groups has stop responding. We are getting below event ID :

The passive Match Making Service cannot connect to the active Match Making Service.
Access active Match Making Service: Frontend server1 FQDN failed.
Failure occurrences: 23175, since 16/07/2014 3:19:05 AM.
Cause: There may not be an active instance at this moment or connectivity to that machine was lost.
Resolution:
Verify the Microsoft Lync Server 2013 certificate and Microsoft Lync Server 2013 installation and make sure that the active Match Making Service is reachable.
Kindly suggest how to resolve the issue and remove above event.

Do you see the errors on FE1?  How many front end servers are in your pool?  This looks like a communications error.  Can the servers directly communicate with eachother or is there any kind of HLB that's intercepting the traffic?
From FE2, if you ping FE1's FQDN, is the IP address the IP address that's directly assigned to FE1?
If there's anything intercepting traffic, a overactive firewall or endpoint management solution, HLB configuration or other, make sure it's out of the way.  If that's not an issue, off-hours it may make sense to bounce the response group services as
well in case an active instance simply isn't available.

    My environment is a single Lync 2013 Front End Server installed on Server 2012.
    It works since a year and now we want to use some response groups. I created 2 of them and everything seems fine but i cant call these groups. Not from internal and also not from external.
    The clients shows an 500 internal server error with ID 26017.
    So i traced the whole thing on the Front End Server. It seems the Response Group Service cant work with the local SQL Server. I see three error messages.

    The Lync Server Event Log shows this error when the Response Group Service starts:
    LS Response Group Service ID 31067
    Lync Server 2013, Response Group Service Match Making could not find the Contact object used for subscribing to agents' presence.
    Cause: The application has not been properly activated or the Contact object was deleted.
    Resolution:
    Deactivate and then activate the application for this pool.
    Is there a way to reinstall / reconfigure the whole response group service incl. the active directory objects?

    He ran Get-CsApplicationEndpoint and received a warning that let him to a resolution.
    Short of that, I'd rerun step 2 in the deployment wizard and restart services when you can to see if I could jog anything loose.

  • Serial response groups not working

    Hello,I have the following problem with a serial response group.
    When I call the response group :
    1. it goes to a person in the list but not always the first one in the list
    2. if nobody pics up it stays ringing on that person and does not go to the following person in the list.
    3. Sometimes it just choose one person and keeps calling that person even if he's the last person on the serial list.
    Does someone has an idea how this flow works ?

    Hi,
    Please test the issue again when all the Response Group Agents are available. For most routing methods, response group agents only receive calls if they are set as Available or Inactive.
    Please also try other Routing method such as Parallel, Round robin to check if similar issue happen.
    If the issue persists, please check if there is any error messages on FE Server.

  • Routing Method for Response Groups not Working as Expected

    I have a situation where Response Groups are not routing calls in the order specified in the group settings. Serial is the primary setting used in this situation so the same person is always called first. However, the calls are being routed randomly.
    One Response Group was deleted entirely and recreated which seemed to solve the problem temporarily but the problem returned as soon as the Response Group was modified.
    CU level appears to be July 2013.
    I have not had a chance to dig in and do any logging yet but will soon.  However, if anyone has seen this behavior or has any suggestions any feedback is appreciated.

    I have some logs now and what I am seeing on a working call (in my lab) is what I would expect.  It tries each person in order top down.  If that person does not answer then a SIP 487 message is returned and it moves on to the next person and sends
    another INVITE, etc. until it gets to the end and does whatever is configured.
    Note: the timeout for trying each group member is 20 seconds.
    What I am seeing from the logs where this issue is occurring is it is trying the first user at the bottom of the list (another in the list before them was available).  It is sending multiple INVITE messages to that person (who I instructed to not answer)
    taking up the whole queue timeout (60 seconds) before trying the next person.  It tries that person for another 20 seconds (which is beyond the queue timeout at this point).  When that group member does not answer and it goes to voicemail
    as configured.
    Even more strangely in a second test it tried that same person at the bottom of the list, tried them twice, moved on to another available user, then back to the first user it tried (the queue timeout should have kicked in by now), then finally went to voicemail.

    open adobe reader and try fix form "help - adobe reader non responsive.
    closed reader and did fix from control panel - no fix
    tried reinstalling reader - no fix
    removed the new version with intent to install older version - cannot install
    no help here - trying to get work done - this is extremely frustrating.

  • Response Group problems

    For the past few weeks I have been struggling with launching response groups and I am hoping someone might be able to help.
    Little background on my config –
    2 – Frontend 2013 servers (5.0.8308.556)
    Sonus SBC1000 voice gateway, 1 PRI
    Stuff that works – Direct calling inbound to end users works great!
    So here is my problem.  I set up a response group with a direct dial number to the outside and assign my people to the group and everything is good. 
    For about 15mins response groups work great! After about 15mins response groups stop working and calls to response groups are no longer picked up. This also affects chat with response groups.
    When I turn on the logging software inside Lync I get these messages when the calls are dropped;

    I then simply restart response groups on one of the FE servers and they come back (for a short time) -
    Here some interesting events logged in the Lync Server event logs after Response Group Service is restarted –
    LS Response Group Service – 31028 - A WorkflowRuntime cannot be started.

    I am willing to try just about anything to get this to work.  Any ideas out there? Thanks for all your help! 

    Please check if the application server is active(lync control panel--Topology--status--double click your FE SERVER--applicationserver).
    If the application server is not started, please start it. If it is started, restart it.
    If issue still exist, use following steps:
    use following command Get-CsApplicationEndpoint
    And check for messages in "Yellow"
    Locate the Identity in Active Directory using ADSIEdit
    And Delete the "CN" located at the end of the Identity String
    And try and add your Line URI or Response Group SIP Address.

  • Control Panel Response Groups Empty/Blank

    Good day all - I am starting to tinker around with Response Groups and was going to create my first group. However, when accessing the Response Groups via Control Panel, nothing is labeled. Also, I noticed (running Lync 2010) there is not a service running

    If that your only Lync pool and you're still configured for EV without that enabled?  I didn't know that was possible.  :)  Interesting.
    That said, if you go to the properties on your Standard Edition Pool, you should be able to check that box.  Once checked, you'll need to publish the topology and rerun step 2 of the Lync deployment wizard to add the new roles.  Once the role are
    added, you'll need to start additional services or reboot.  I'd suggest working with that off-hours and making sure you have a backup of your topology if you need to back out.

  • With in Facebook I have encounter a lote of "Not Responding" erors when moving arounf the various game sites. I have ver 6.1

    after upgrade to 6.0 and now 6.1, I have a response of "Not responding" A LOT in the top tab as I move from window to window. My Net work is 20gig down and I have a quad core machine. it sounds like the app. I have heard others on Facebook KOC stating the have returned to ver 5 for the same reason.

  • Lync Response Group Manager - cannot change opening hours

    I've run into an odd problem with Lync Response Groups with Lync 2013 Server. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before or knows of a solution. I've searched around but can't find any reference to this particular problem.
    Response supervisors who are defined in the workflow and are a member of the AD group CSResponseGroupManager cannot change working hours for their response group from a custom schedule to a preset in the web interface.
    If the workflow is already set to preset they can switch between existing presets, and they can switch from preset to custom. But once it has been set to custom they cannot change it back to preset.
    They can select to do so but when they click Save they receive an error on the page saying "The term 'Remove-CsRgsHoursOfBusiness' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name,
    or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again."
    I don't believe this is by design, why would you want a workflow manager to be able to switch between presets or to custom but not back again?
    If they are a member of CSResponseGroupAdministrator this works, however this is not really a solution as members of this group can edit all workflows and we don't want the managers of a workflow for one department able to access the workflows of another.
    Any information greatly appreciated.

    I had to abondon working on this for a while as we only had 1 Response Group in place, it wasn't too much hassle for me to do these changes myself.
    However we now have about 6 Response Groups. All are managed and have a user listed as manager in the workflow, that user is also in the CSResponseGroupManager AD user group.
    As previously described they can change the opening hours from between existing presets, and from preset to custom, but attempting to change back to preset from custom causes the error given previously.
    This does not occur if the user is a member of CSResponseGroupAdministrator, however putting our Response Group managers in this group is not appropriate as it gives them access to all Response Groups not just their own.
    Is it possible the error is due to the fact that the CSResponseGroupManager group is not giving them permission to the Remove-CSRGSHoursofBusiness cmdlet, I think PowerShell tells you a cmdlet doesn't exist if you don't have permissions to use it?

  • Is there a way to tell who answered a call to a Lync response group?

    We have Lync 2010 and a number of Response groups defined. These are rung by the public from outside lines.
    We would like to be able to identify who is answering these calls. However the records that are being populated in the Lync LCSCDR database only seem to reflect that their was a call to the response group, not who then took the call. 
    Does the LYnc database also store the user who answered the call ? 
    Is this something that can be configured ?
    We have tried running queries like the one below, which seems to indicate that its only the response group userid is kept in the call record.

    The calls will have the same CorrelationId.
    If you have for example C1 calling RG1.
    In turn you will see C1 calling A1, and C1 calling A1.  These are the response group calls to each agent.
    All 3 of these calls will share the same CorrelationId.  Likewise you can check the Response code to see which Agent call had a 200.
    There will also be a 4th call from AX to C1, and AX will be whomever took the call.  The ReplacesDialogIdTime will associate the replacement call back to the original call in.
    So something like this should work

  • Why when I open Firefox does it come up "not responding"? When I attempt to close I get a windows window to check for the reason for no response. Magically, all of a sudden Firefox "POPS" back to life. Any thing I can do about this??

    Firefox will open and then "freeze" (Says Firefox not responding). Have to attempt to close from lower bar and then get message from Windows - options
    1. close window now
    2. windows will search for the reason
    When I click on either option I have to wait "magically" Firefox will "pop" alive. May stay responsive for full session or may again "not respond" when I try to access another site.

    I have also found that unchecking the "Use hardware acceleration when available" option solves this issue. This option is in the Advanced section, under the General tab.

    I had a similar problem as yours. I removed the credit card from my profile to prevent my son from makeing purchases. But when I do want to buy something, I put in my credit card, and got the "cannot purchase" notification.
    So I went to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/account/  , then I clicked on "Contact Support" (lower most icon on left hand side).
    That brought me to another page, then I clicked on this link "Contact iTunes Store support", which brought me to this page:  https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action
    Now you will see a page with "Purchases, Billing, and Redemption".
    Next you will be directed to a page where you describe the problem.
    I remember if I do this during business hours of USA, I would get a screen telling me to put in my contact telephone number. I did that, and not very long afterwards, someone from Apple iTunes support called me and solved my credit card can't purchase problem.
    But if I go down this URL path during off bussiness hours, I don't see that option to enter my phone number.

    Do you have multiple keyboard layouts installed?
    It is possible that you have switched the keyboard layout by accident.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPad fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
