  • Issue in pagination of pivotal view (10 rows per page)???

    Hi All,
    I’m implementing pagination in pivotal view, report has to show 10 records per page.
    Report has to show for 8 weeks data per employee and 10 employees information per page, however report is displaying data for more than 10 employees and for a week single week, in second page its showing for 2 week and so on ….
    I used all the following functions however issue persists.
    1. FLOOR(RCOUNT(1) /10)
    2. CEILING((RCOUNT(1))/10.0)
    3. TRUNCATE((RCOUNT(1)-1)/10, 0) +1
    4. CASE when rcount(1)<11 then '1-10' when rcount(1)<21 then '11-20' when rcount(1)<31 then '21-30' else '30+' end
    Any suggestions
    Thanks,
    SMA

    Look in criteria add one more column
    in FX write this formula
    Go to the formula window of this column and enter the formula shown below
    CASE WHEN RCOUNT(1) < 11 THEN ‘1-10′
    WHEN RCOUNT(1) < 21 THEN ‘11-20′
    WHEN RCOUNT(1) < 31 THEN ‘21-30′
    ELSE ‘30+’ END
    Once this is done, drag and drop this column into the Pages section of your pivot table. Now you can paginate through your pivot table report.
    let us know if its solve your problem
    Thanks

  • Not able to see data in Pivot table

    Hi,
    I have a issue with pivot table i have a column which displays values 0 and 1 and another column called month when i am placing this month column as a section and values column as a measure i am not seeing any values means i can see the month as header but instead showing 0 or 1 its showing blank columns. previously i created similar kind of table it worked but at that time values column data type is number this time its char. can anybody help me out how i can see the data in the pivot table. i already tried converting this column to number but still i am not able to see data in that values column.
    Thanks

    Hi copter,
    Place the month column in rows and value column in measure section and check if results are coming.If still it doesnt come i suppose you dint apply aggregation rules to value column.In pivot view click values column and aggregate by /select min or max or either server complex and check your results.
    (I suppose your aggregation rules is default)....Correct this one and you can place it in sections as per your requirement.
    Cheers,
    KK

  • Reg: Excluded Section in Pivot view

    Hi,,
    can any one telme..
    how exactly the 'Excluded Section' in the pivot view, will effect the entire report.
    In one of my report when i place one column in excluded section, one set of data is coming, when i remove that column in the Excluded section , data is effecting and its changing...why this is happening??

    Even if the column is excluded in pivot, it will be there in the query sent to database. If you exclude an attribute, and if it changes the granularity of the report, you have to make sure you set aggregations properly in pivot measures, otherwise you can get unexpected results, and individual row level or even grand totals.

  • Extract Data from a View into multiple columns

    fairly new sql person here, I have a question on extracting data from a View that I have created and formatting it in a way that the user needs.
    My View has the following columns:
    Account
    Department
    Budget
    Spent
    Values would be such as:
    Account Department Budget Spent
    1 A 1.00 1.00
    1 B 2.50 1.45
    1 C 3.00 4.00
    2 A 4.00 1.00
    2 B 2.00 1.00
    What I'm wanting to do is extract the data out in the following format:
    <dept> <account> 1 <account> 2
    <budget> <spent> <budget> <spent>
    A 1.00 1.00 4.00 1.00
    B 2.50 1.45 2.00 1.00
    C 3.00 4.00
    basically dept as a column and then separate columns for each accounts budget and spent values going across
    thanks!

    Search for pivot queries in this forum.
    However, you need to have finite number of accounts in Account column, otherwise output will be, i must say, non-readable and the query to be written would be unrealistic.

    Appreciate the help extended

    just a note now its ok..i think its a transactional database ....some how the data has changed it modified the query and ur getting correct results am i correct ?

  • Table heading in pivot view

    Hi All
    I am trying to show table heading in pivot view but failed. Please help me on this
    I know that can achieve in table view but looking for a solution in pivot view.
    What I am lookinf for is: Pivot View
    Rows ---------Measures----------
    X Y (Table Heading)
    col1 col2 col3 col4 col5 col6 (column names)
    --- --- --- --- ---- ---- (data)
    Thnaks in advance!

    Ok, for example take two columns product and revenue. Consider they are 10 products.
    What I have to display in report is 9 products with revenue and total revenue of those 9 products and then the 10th product and revenue and finally the grand total.
    Product---Revenue

    2---45
    9---60
    Total---140
    10---70
    Grand Total---210
    Which can be achieved the same in pivot view (using New calculated item)
    I also need to display the table headings, there I stuck with.

  • Dynamic sorting in pivot view

    Hello
    Can someone please point me to the OBIEE Oracle documentation where I can find "How to make dynamic sorting work in a pivot table view".
    I have many pivot views on a dashboard. Clicking on the measure columns "Sort Ascending" and "Sort Descending" did not use to sort the columns in 10g. But I have found on this link
    https://forums.oracle.com/message/9321054#9321054
    that dynamic sorting can be now done in pivot views. But I am unable to find Oracle documentation on it that tells me how.
    We have upgraded to 11.1.1.7 but still I am unable to do sorting in pivot views on dashboards
    Thanks

    Devendra,
    you cannot have both status and status icon in the same column. so create a new column and then populate it according to the status.
    here is the sample code from the layout section of document_todo.htm
    <!--      Column: Appraisal Name                   -->
              <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "AP_STATUS_NAME"
                                     width      = "150"
                                     type       = "IMAGE" >
              </htmlb:tableViewColumn>
              <%
                  data: status_icon type string.
                  if APPLICATION->T_DOCUMENTS_TODO-AP_STATUS = '2'.
                  status_icon = cl_bsp_mimes=>sap_icon( id = 'ICON_WS_PLANE' ).
                  else.
                  endif.
              %>
              <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName          = "STATUS SIGN"
                                     type                = "user"
                                     title               = "STATUS ICON"
                                     horizontalAlignment = "center" >

  • Restrict records in Pivot View

    Hello
    Is it possible to restrict # of records to be displayed in Pivot view.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    Not without applying filters directly to the underlying report.
    Alternatively use your pivot to summarise the data at a higher level and create a drill down into a seperate report. If you setup the more detailed report in a table view you can limit the number of rows shown to the user (the setting that defines how many rows are displayed before having to hit the button to show all report rows)
    Thanks

  • Help on Pivot View

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement where i have to use the pivot view to get the particular days employee transactions happening in the system.
    I have a measure called Total which is sum of new joinees to the company.
    I have a calculated item WTD-Net in the measure field of pivot where i need to calculate the week to date average.
    i.e. For Monday the formula is Total *(7/7)
    Tuedsay = Total*(6/7)
    Wednesday= Total*(5/7)...............
    Sunday = Total*(1/7)
    How can i acheive this.
    In the new caluclted item i can give only formula for one day.
    Please help me
    Or the other way i thought of getting the solution was
    Create seven pivots respectively for seven days.
    And when user selects the day in the prompt then he/she shud be able to see only the particular days dashboard.
    That is if he selects Monday then he shud see the transactions only for Thursday and the WTD-Net he will see for thursday will be Total*(4/7)
    Appreciate your immediate response.
    Regards,
    Veena A

    use
    1.00*(7- mod(12+dayofweek(Time.Date), 7))/7

  • How to sort column totals in pivot view

    Hello guys
    I have a report in pivot view where I have put call type on the column section. So the report looks like below with SUM applied at the column section:
                                       Call Type1         Call Type2       Call Type3               TOTAL
    ID                                        SALES TOTAL
    A                                  100                  200                300                       500
    B                                  200                  200                400                       800
    C
    D
    EMy question, how do I sort the data in 'TOTAL' field? The challenge it seems is that since 'TOTAL' isn't a table column, but just a display of pivot Sum, it can't be sorted H-L or L-H..
    But I'd like to have some advice from you guys before I make my conclusion
    Thanks
    Edited by: user7276913 on Jan 11, 2010 10:05 AM

    You can't have the sorting on the total in Pivot table.
    On a workaround,
    you can create a column in the criteria which calculate the sum
    SUM(sales_total by ID)Assign sorting order on this column
    You can exclude this column in the pivot table
