Restore contacts from iPod to MS Oultook 2007

I had to update my computer. Installed Vista and MS Office 2007. backed up almost everything, but forgot to backup address book from/in outlook. Is there a way to get my contacts that were synced from MS Outlook 2003 and are on my iPod back onto my computer and into MS Outlook 2007?

1. Make sure iPod is set up to be used as an external hard disk.
2. Connect iPod to your computer. The iPod appears as a hard disk on your desktop.
3. Open the iPod hard disk.
4. Open the folder named "Contacts".
5. Find the vCard for the contact you want to keep.
6. Drag the vCard to the desktop or someplace else on your computer.

  • How to restore contact from iPod Touch to iPod Nano in iTunes

I have all my contacts on my iPod Touch and they are backed up onto my computer.
I got a iPod Nano so I created a new Library of Playlist I wanted on the Nano.
Synced the Music fine but I would like to put my Contacts and possibly Apps onto the Nano.
Is there a way to do this?
If not I do also see that it tells me to add contacts within iTunes but I'm not sure how to do that.
    I have iTunes 11.0.1
    Thanks,
    Debbie

    You don't.
As far as know this is not a feature of the ipod nano.

  • How do i restore contacts from a previous icloud backup?

Somehow - half of my contacts have disappeared.
I turned icoloud backup off , but the most recent backup is missing those contacts as well.
i am pretty sure that the previous backup have the full contacts that i want to restore.
Don't want to restore the entire phone.
how can this be done ? will icloud drive help ?

If you turned iCloud backup off and deleted the backup, you won't have an earlier iCloud backup to restore from.  Your most recent backup, if you didn't delete it, may have your contacts if it was made before the contacts were lost.  However, you have to follow this process to restore contacts from an iCloud backup: Recovering deleted iCloud contacts from an iCloud backup.  Otherwise the recovered contacts will be deleted as soon as your device reconnects to iCloud (making you think that they weren't included in the backup).

  • Can I restore contacts from an earlier iCloud backup?

    Hi
I hope someone can help me...!
My son had contacts syncing via iCloud on his iPod so ended up with all the contacts from my iPhone.  At his request I removed all my work/social contacts, just leaving on his iPod the few for family members that he needed.
I've just realised that of course my iPhone has now synced with the updated contacts on his iPod and all 250+ work/social contacts have gone.
I have tried restoring and merging from iCloud but the latest backup only contains the family contacts.
Is it possible to access an earlier version of the iCloud backup, or does it only store the very latest version?
Thanks for any suggestions you may be able to give me.

How about if I go into iTunes - Info - Advanced - Replace information on this iPhone (and select Contacts)?
    It says:
During the next sync only, iTunes will replace the selected information on this iPhone with information from this computer.
Where does that contacts info come from? Is it downloaded from iCloud or does iTunes on my MacBook Air store an earlier backup of this data?
    Grasping at straws here!
    Thanks for any help...

  • Can't remove Contacts from iPod.

Even though the Sync Contacts From check box is unchecked under the Contacts Tab in iTunes (Version 8). My contacts are not being removed from my 5th Generation 30GB iPod.
The contacts are taking up space on my full iPod and wanna make more space for music.

Do a restore on the iPod. That will clear it out.
    Cheers,
    Patrick

  • HT1351 Removing contacts from iPod nano

I am synching my iPod nano to iTunes and cannot get it to remove my contacts.  I have deselected contacts, but they remain on the iPod after synching is completed.  What should I do?

Is the place where you "deselected contacts" is on the iPod's Info tab, with the checkbox that says Sync Contacts?
If so, and that did not work due to some data issue on the iPod, you may need to do a Restore on the iPod from the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes.  This will erase the iPod (including that contacts data), re-install its software, and set it to default settings.  Since you are using automatic syncing to load the iPod, all of your songs and other content must be in your iTunes library, so it should not be too tedious to set up the other tabs to sync like before.

  • Is it better to register iPhone on iTunes or restore backup from iPod Touch

I just got an iPhone 3gs. When I plug it into computer USB and iTunes is open, iTunes asks me if I want to register it as new iPhone or if I want to restore from my last iPod Touch backup. I'm not sure which one I should do, because I actually do want to transfer all the apps from my iPod Touch to my phone as well. So if I choose restore from backup, all the apps would be placed on the phone, correct? But I'm not sure if iTunes will or will not recognize my phone as a phone afterwards. Will it recognize it as the iPod Touch after that?
    I basically need to know:
    A) If I should register or restore from backup
    B) How to transfer apps from iPod Touch to iPhone [I did already transfer all purchases to iTunes from iPod Touch]
    C) How do I transfer contacts from Outlook to my iPhone?
    Any help is MUCH appreciated!

set it up as a new device.

  • How can I restore contacts from Backup Assistant

My contact list has been corrupted. I have been using Backup Assistant for some time and want to restore my contacts from a previous backup.
Verizon seems to have changed BA since the last time I used it and the only function seems to be to take my corrupted contact list from my phone and store it.  Any suggestions on recovering my non-corrupted contact list?

Here is a reply from a VW CS regarding the same question a few months back:
Click this link Backup Assistant (sign in) to check if contacts are available. You may sync directly from the site, by simply clicking sync on the right hand side (above contacts).
You may also try to sync by adding your G-mail account to the your device then go to Settings > Accounts & Sync > Ensure Sync is on for G-mail account. You may also select Auto-sync.

I accidentally erased my contacts from my iPhone. I can see previous backups on my iTunes preferences. But the only option is to delete them. Does anyone know how to restore one of those backups?

  • HT2693 unable to restore contacts from backup in iTunes.. how do i find out where the contacts are when it took the backup the first time?

Please help me restore my contacts from the backup in my laptop. When i took the backup  the first time, i dont know where it took the backup. After that i tried restoring the contacts back  to my iPhone, but was unable to. What can i do to findout where did the contacts go in my laptop? Please help asap.

Unfortunately, you have posted in the wrong community. However, I am not quite sure which community you should be posting in. Do you use iCloud for your contacts.

Inactive memory is your file system cache.
The cache is trying to save you from expensive disk I/O (where expensive means in time and battery life).  Running that disk a lot drains your battery faster, and it is orders of magnitude slower than data already in RAM.  Unused RAM is a waste of money.
Is your system running slow?  If so, then start looking at all those 3rd party additions you have loaded.
Do you really need "2" virtual machines?  VirtualBox and Parallels?
As mentioned above, get rid of the anti-virus software.  It is just eating system resources.
Do you need MacFUSE.  It has been responsible for performance issues for some users (all of which may depend on what kind of file system format you are trying access).
Do you need to run your own Samba server?
You have OpenVPN and TunnelBrick.  Are they both needed?

  • How do I transfer contacts from iPod touch 2nd gen to iPod touch 5th gen

I just got a new iPod touch (5th gen) and can't figure out how to transfer the contacts from my old iPod touch (2nd gen). I was able to sync my contacts in the 2nd gen iPod touch with my Google account when it was connected to iTunes, but I don't see that option now with the 5th gen touch. It only looks like it can sync to iCloud.
