"Restore Down" Icon in a JFrame

In a JFrame, it has 3 little icons on the top of the right hand corner: minimize, restore down, and close icons. When I click "restore down" (the middle) icon, how can it minimize to a specific frame size? Because now it will iconize the frame when I click the middle icon. What's API for that?? Thanks...

My screen will not restore down using the icon

My screen will not restore down on Firefox. It will restore down on IE8 but I prefer to use Ftrefox.

Do you have any peripherals connected to the computer such as a printer, external HD, scannner etc. If so try disconnecting each one by one. My guess is one of them may be causing your problem.

When I "restore down" a web page, it doesn´t go half size anymore, it disappears into a small firefox box in the top left hand corner of the screen?

I use windows 7. I normally "restore down" a web page to half it´s size, so that I can see 2 or 3 at a time.
This morning, I did this and the pages started to disappear into a little box under the orange firefox logo in the top left of the screen.
I´m not aware that I have changed anything myself and as I am not very I.T. savvy, I hoped someone could tell me what to do to revert to how things worked before.

Restoring OSX icon on dock

Hi: I lost my Apple-OSX icon (the one with the little spring and "@" symbol) from the dock. It accidentally went up in smoke and can't find where to retrieve it from. Any suggestions on how I can restore this icon to the dock would be greatly appreciated.

How to restore utilities icons like notes

how does one restore utilities icons like notes and reminders once they have been deleted from home page?

Stock iOS apps cannot be deleted.
Were they accidentally moved to another page or into a folder?
Do they show when you do a Spotlight search (swip down from the middle of the screen)?

Restore HD icon on my Desktop

Why do I suddenly have a Restore HD icon on my desktop? I haven't had any problems of late.
Here's what's in it:

Yes, I know that is annoying but this is how you get your icons to stay nice and neat on your desktop at all times and so that they are in order:
1. Click on the hardrive.
2.You now have your hardrive open, now do you see the little flower looking logo in the middle and to the left? It is like a flower or some type of nut or bolt looking logo with an arrow going down.
3. Click on the logo and then select "Show View Options."
4. A box will come up on the left side of your screen and check the box that says "Keep Arranged By" and then you can have your folders arranged by Name, date modified, date created, size, kind, or label.
5. Have the box open and then click out onto your desktop and then check the box again and then that will always arrange your icons on your desktop even after restarting your computer.
I know I have made this sound like a lot but it isn't at all. I just don't know what you call the logo that you are supposed to click on. If it helps, it is 4 over to the right from the front and back arrows.
Let me know if you got it or have any questions because I want to know if my instructions helped you solve your problem and in case someone else has the same problem.

When click on restore down button in firefox 32.0.3 the veritical scroll ba is missing and I am not able to view my gmail content or any other data properly..

After openig Gmail or trying to search any information in google,when i click on restore down buton which is appear near close button,the vertical scroll bar is not showing,I have to maximize the window and then only I am able to view the hole content.

Scrollup and down icons not working in ALV. Please help!

       I have a ALV webdynpro ABAP report. I have to show only fixed no of rows.
       But the scrollup and scroll down icons in the ALV (^) not working when I use subtotal (aggregation).
       Interestingly scrolling works perfectly if I remove my subtotal code.
       My subtotal code is like this:

Hi Gopal,
Please try to build the effect you commented out in the settings of the ALV. You can save it as a special layout. If scrolling works then, you should check which part of your coding leads to the problem and possibly correct it.
If this is not possible, just create an OSS message.

Over / Down Icons not in exported folder

Over / Down Icons not in exported folder.
I've created some action buttons, and when a user hovers over it turns blue, and when they click it turns red. The png files I used for this I put into a folder called "IMG" (configuratorname.assets/IMG/blue-50-26.png). This folder is located in the .assets directory that configurator created when I saved the .gpc file. When I export the panel, the custom png files (red & blue) aren't exported into the content folder. How do I get it to export the custom icon png files ? Also, do I have to use a custom path in the the Over Icon and Down Icon fields. Here is what is in there now "Locales/IMG/blue-50-26.png", I think somewhere I read that I need to use a ".." at the beginning so it's a relative reference, not absolute ? My goal is for this panel to work on various machines, and all the needed componets are locally resident and pointed to within the content folder.

One last question, should the png file that I'm using as a custom color for the buttons when clicked be the exact dimension of the button, or will it scale the png file ?

In your case, the png files will not be export to content folder, these files will be exported to content/Configurator-Panel.assets/IMG/.
You can not use ".." to set the path of icon pictures. The root directory for icon picture is configuratorname.assets/. The value for icon picture path are relative to this root directory. After exporting, the pictures will be exported to content/configuratorname.assets/.
The png file be scale to fill the dimension of the button. We strongly suggest that you set the png file and the button in same size. If the size of png file is lager, it should be in same ratio with the size of the button.

Window stuck maximised; "restore down" minimizes window.

There are a few posts already about this problem, where FF windows will not resize from maximum via the restore down button, but instead minimize to the toolbar...and vice versa, you can only maximize the window from the minimized position.
After searching for solutions to this problem, I saw one post that suggested closing Firefox (I have 13.0.1), then opening it in Safe Mode. I'm running Windows Vista and couldn't find how to open FF that way, but instead I ran FF as administrator and the problem was solved!
I wanted to share this solution to help others in previous posts, but the threads have been locked and marked as Solved, which is why I am posting this 'question'. Just In Case there is anyone out there who also is seeking solutions to the problem! (And also to perhaps encourage administrators to keep threads open a Little bit longer...it would seem that several so-called 'solved' problems actually are not.

How can I restore the icons in my bookmarks some have them and others are a blank rectangle.

there are icons in my bookmarks and others that are just blank rectangles. on the ones that are blank I would click on the bookmark and close the icon would return and others still remain a blank.

F4 help icon and Drop Down icon turned to input field in EHP4

I am facing one strange problem, I have a system in which ECC6 with EHP3 was installed. Everthing was fine so far.
But as soon as we have upgraded to EHP4 package level 2 Web Dynpro Applicaiton UI rendering problem started.
1. F4 search help icon changed to input field like ui which does not takes any input but responds when user clicks on that field with normal F4 Search Help screen.
2. Drop Down icon also changed to input field like ui which does not takes any input but responds when user clicks on that field with normal Drop Down appears.
Any resolution for this?

Yes, I also faced the same issues. I guess some patch levels you need to apply. Please approach your basis team for the same.
One moe thing, As a temporary solution, try to increase the width of those UI elements so that you can be able to the dropdown icons and F4 help icons clearly.

I am trying to provide different horizontal restore & collapse icon for af|panelSplitter using Skinning based on Style class or position. I have 2 af:panelSplitter with orientation="horizontal" - One with positionedFromEnd="true" one with positionedFromEnd="false". I want to specify the horizontal collapse and restore icon using Skinning. I want specify different icons based on positionedFromEnd. When I specify icons they are appearing for both splitters. I gave 2 different styleClass to these splitter but it is not taking them in account,

CSS attribute selectors are what you are talking about, but binding the selector with EL is a more-common approach. Using selectors like this require you to ensure browser support.

Proportionaly scaling down background image when restoring down browser window

Hi all, i need some help, i want to minimize(scale or restore down) window to not-fullscreen browser window (and ajusting size of window manually over arrows in the corners of the window) and retain background picture full size (i need to picture proportionally follows screen scaling).

I take it you want a liquid effect. I wrote a site that does that or rather the background of this site does that http://www.droolpigs.com/ . It's fairly simple just tell the backrgound to change width and height on stage resize.

Today when I opened Firefox It wouldn't open on restore down mode but when I went to full page it was OK, restored down again it disappeared or crashed. Yours G.Swan

Today when I open Firefox the web page didn't appear in restore mode, but it appeared in task bar I then tried full screen which did come up as a full page, then when I restored down I lost it again and it was still in the task bar and would regain full page when asked. That's how I'm sending this request. Also when loading gmail the system crashed.
