Retain Session for Popup

Hi ,
I have an application A which calls up a popup running in appication B (url = '../B/mypopup.do').
The popup creates a new session and all the values which was ment to be transported to popup is cleared..:-(.
How to retain the session of application A to the popup?

My popup is called with the following url:
https://ifdmain.wdf.sap.corp/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/bc/bsp/sap/appl1/mainpopup.do?mv_controller_name=%2E%2E%2Fapp2%2Fsubpopup.do
As you see, its got the session and subopup.do is called on a container mainpopup.do.
For the first time the data is transfred to the tableview of popup.do. But the DO_HANDLE_EVENT is not triggered when a button is clicked on popup.do. Also the model which was transfrered to popup.do is also cleared.
How to keep the flow of data and events in the popup window?

From a jsp page i open a page called student.jsp by clicking on students admision no.Therefore lots of pages can be opend in new windows with relevent student details.
but when i click on the link i called a servlet, get relevent details and redirect to student.jsp. The problem is ,all opened windows have same session id and there are session conflicts.

I actually was working on a problem that was similar to this, and the problem is with how each web-browser works with sessions...
Each browser window (Except in one case with IE) will use the same session in each window.
However, you might be able to use URL-Rewritting to manage your sessions and get around using cookies for for session tracking. I personally haven't tried this, but I'm betting that it will work.

Multiple sessions for the same user

The scenario is like this. The user is logged into the system using JAAS and
has a session object created. I want to create a new session for the same user
with the already available credentials. This is to provide the same user the access
to the application in another window with different session object. How can do

I think it would be easier to enable session time out settings using GPO considering you work in a domain environment..
Having session timeouts settings you could say... hey after 15 min of inactivity disconnect the user and then after 15 min of disconnected session log him off

How to avoid multiple session for the same username

I need suggestions on implementing single user login , like My system has a user with a username jdavid and my application should not allow two different sessions for the same username jdavid , can one session peep into all other session
to see if the any has a usernaem jdavid, I am basically looking for some pattern if any available for restricting multiple session for the same username . like jaas or any other security api provides this ?

Store a Map<User, HttpSession> in application scope and let your application intercept on that. On login, just check if the User is already there, then get the associated HttpSession, invalidate it and replace it by the current HttpSession, else just store the current User-HttpSession pair in the map. On logout obviously remove the User-HttpSession pair from the map.

How can I use the same session for different components acroos application ?

I am trying to include the components(chat, filesharing, whitboard) in different parts of my application. User should be able to access any of the component. We would like to have a single "ConnectSessionContainer" so that we don't see same user creating a seperate session for each component.
Is there a better way of dealing with this other than declaring the "ConnectSessionContainer" in the main application ? Is there a way to check if we have a "ConnectSessionContainer" session already established ? Please help . Thanks.

I am trying to create components at different places(screens) of the flex application (not in the same .mxml file).
Each time I create a component, I am using a "AdobeHSAuthenticator" and "ConnectSessionContainer" which is resulting a new participant in the room.
For example

Here, I open a screen1 and authenticate as UserA and when I try to open screen2 flex is considering me as another user though I am in the same application.
1) How can I use different components which are in different flex files as a same User ?
2) Should I place my <rtc:AdobeHSAuthenticator> and <rtc:ConnectSessionContainer> in the main application which calls the screen.mxml?
3) What is the best way to do it ?

Is there a way to disable concurrent Weblogic Admin Console sessions for the same user?

A coworker on another workstation and I are able to log into same user account on the Weblogic Admin Console at the same time. I would like to restrict access so only one session per user account can be logged in to the Admin Console. Is this possible?
Alternatively, is there a way to log identifiable information (IP/workstation) when multiple sessions for one account occur at the same time?

You could also check the http access logs for such info. There you could see records for the received requests, with each record starting with the source IP that initiated the request.
The default location for access logs is ${DOMAIN_HOME}/servers/${SERVER_NAME}/logs. Of course in your case, the ${SERVER_NAME} would be your admin server name (AdminServer if left as default).

How to open multiple sessions for one user?

Sorry for the silly question but I couldn't find it googling or searching through this forum, so I started wondering whether it's possible in SQL Developer to open multiple sessions for one user. I'm fairly new to SQL Developer and databases in general.
When I open SQL Developer and connect to a schema, a worksheet opens named MYSCHEMA. If I disconnect then connect, another worksheet opens, named MYSCHEMA~1. I assumed these were different sessions, but if I enter into one worksheet:
select col1 from my_table where row_id = 1
-- shows result is 1
update my_table set col1 = 0 where row_id = 1
select col1 from my_table where row_id = 1
-- shows result is 0and then enter into the second worksheet:
select col1 from my_table where row_id = 1
-- shows result is 0I would have expected the second worksheet to report 1 because the first worksheet did not issue a COMMIT. Thus, I'd guess both worksheets are the same session? Is that right? If so, how do I have two sessions open simultaneously (opened by same user)?

Ctrl-Shift-N doesn't do anything for me. I'm on a mac -- by experimenting it looks like command-N does what you're looking for. This appears to be the same as left-clicking on the "New" icon in the top left corner of SQL Developer, or selecting from the pull-down menu, File > New.
This opens "Create a New" window that appears to be a wizard. What would I select at this point? Options are: Database Connection, Table, View, Package, ...
I don't see an option for "Worksheet".
UPDATE:
OK, I found that if I select "SQL File", a worksheet becomes available. Perhaps this is what you intended. However, when I issue the command
select col1 from my_table where row_id = 1;it still returns 0 instead of 1. Hmm, maybe my initial assumption was wrong -- if this is a second (e.g. different) session, should I expect the changes made in the first session in SQL Developer (the UPDATE command) WITHOUT a commit, to be observed in this second session? I thought that changes made in one session were not viewable in a different session until these changes are committed in the first session? If so, how to show this in SQL Developer? I must be missing something basic here.
Or, is SQL Developer issuing some sort of "auto-commit" without my knowledge?

That problem isn't related to Private Browsing specifically, that's how Firefox works with regards to multiple "sessions" with the same server - only one logon is allowed at any time. Try using one of these extensions to be able to run multiple session cookies.

Make sure that your bean is implementing the serializable interface and that

Create a session for a web service in jdeveloper10g

Hi All,
Question 1: How to create a session for a java web service created in jdeveloper10g.
Question 2: How to restrict a particular user for accessing a java web service.
I have done this by using key store. But when creating the java web service client, again we have to configure the key store, which should not happen in my case. Hence i like to create a method for login in a web service, create a session id for the user if he is a valid user and send the session id back to web service client. Using the session id they can access other methods in the web service.
Can any one suggest how I can accomplish this. Thanks in advance.

Reserving the sessions for a user in Oracle database

Hi,
Suppose the Oracle database is running in dedicated mode.
I want sys or abc user to have some sessions reserved for them.
This is because if there is heavy load on the system and all the sessions are used up then we can not connect to database to see what is happening inside.
However, if we have got some policy on the number of reserved sessions for a user then we can always log in as that user and see what is happening inside the database.
Consider any version of database, if you can get what I am asking then try answering it, else I can elaborate it further.
Please note that I do not want to change the server mode from Dedicated to Shared.
Any help will be appreciated.

There has to be some way to achieve this. But your sugestions are correct to have a user connected always if we are going to face an issue.
Any ways if there is no other way to achive this then we can not do any thing, else Oracle come up with something.

All Im very new to Oracle DRM and Im trying to get the app setup on Windows server running SQL Server 2008. When I try to login to the Web Client I keep getting this error.

This might be due to The 'Oracle Instance' path may not have been set to a path relative to the 'CSS Bridge Host' (i.e. the Foundation Services machine) on the Configuration > Host Machines > CSS > General tab of the DRM Configuration Utility.
if this is the case then
1. Open the DRM Configuration Console.
2. Go to the Configuration > Host Machines > CSS > General tab of the DRM Configuration Utility.
3. Ensure that the path in 'Oracle Instance' has been set relative to the 'CSS Bridge Host' (i.e. the Foundation Services machine defined in 'CSS Bridge Host').
4. If corrections are made to 'Oracle Instance' then restart the DRM services to pick up the change.
