Retreiving modified parameter from task jsp

Hello, I'm facing the next problem while developing a BPEL process:
My process has a Human Task page that I have succesfully deployed into the SOA WorklistAPP.
I'm able to load this page and it shows perfectly all the parameters required and it sends outcomes to the task as well.
The problem is that I'm not able of receiving a modified parameter (set as Modifiable via Worklist) in the output XML of the receiveCompletedTask.
I have tried everything. My modified parameter is as defined by the auto-generate simple task form of JDeveloper.
I'm developing under JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 and running in SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.
The strangest thing is that I have tried the sample DocumentReview process from Oracle and it shows the same problem. I save a different document title, approve or reject, but the modification is missed in the output XML.
I'll apreciate your help because I don't really know how to solve this.
Thank you.

Make sure you have an external XSD for modifiable fields unless you want all the fields modifiable ... Then you can use assign to return that value to the variable in ur original XSD ... Regarding your issue with not being able to see fields as modifiable, I have faced the same problem and I figured out that I was missing some steps in generating my form .. Firstly, set up everything, then generate the form .. I will be glad to help you resolve the issue if you still couldn't manage to solve it ..
Let me know ..

  • How can i pass the same parameter from 1 jsp page to many jsp page?

    hello.....
    how can i actually pass a parameter from 1 jsp file to many other jsp files? pls help......
    thanx

    Hi
    Save the information which u want to pass to various JSP's inside Session Object.
    There is an Object called HttpSession and u can store information inside which other jsp pages within the same domain and same browser instance can use it.
    commands which are for ur interests are
    <Session Object>.setAttribute("<object name>", <value>);
    Example
    HttpSession objsession =request.getSession(true); String strName="NEED_HELP":
    objSession.setAttribute("Name", strName);
    And then u can retreive that information in your n pages.
    Read any JSP/Servlet Books and u will know about them
    Bye.

  • Can I retreive user parameter from SolMan to use in Portal?

    Hi gurus!
    Is there a way to use paramters from Solution Manager (SolMan) in portal? To explain further here is our scenario: we are going to use the portal as an interface for Retail Store in R3. We use SolMan as authentication database for the portal instead of the portals internal one and that works nicely. Further more we have an Application Integrator iview that shows/connect to an external index engine. As of now we logon with ONE user in each store and this Id, which actually is the store number, is sent as an parameter through the URL AppInt iview to the index engine. It's in the form of <LogonUserID> or <User.UserID>, either works fine.
    Now for the problem: we have faced the need to use a separate logon Id for every computer instead of one for each store. This means we no longer can't send the parameter LogonUserId since this no longer is the store number. But we connect the parameter Werks (technical name WRK) to the users in SolMan, the question now is if it's possible to reach this parameter from SolMan "through" User or in another way, if it's possible whatsoever... Does anyone have any suggestions? It will be immencely appriciated.
    Best regards

    For my SSM this code works,
    public java.lang.String getPortalContactState( )
              String portalState = "";
              String epUserName = "";
              try {
                   IWDClientUser wdClientUser = WDClientUser.forceLoggedInClientUser();
                   com.sap.security.api.IUser sapUser = wdClientUser.getSAPUser();
                   if (sapUser.getName() != null) {
                        epUserName = sapUser.getName();
                   if (sapUser.getState() != null) {
                        portalState = sapUser.getState();
                   } else {
                        wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException(
                             "State hasn't set for "
                                  + epUserName
                                  + " Please Contact Your System Administrator ",
                             true);
              } catch (Exception ex) {
                   wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(
                        "Exception=" + ex.getMessage());
              return portalState;

  • Passing parameter from task flow to another ADF Taskflow

    Hallo everyone, I have a case :
    1. I have ADF Bounded Task Flow, it contains two main elements - page P1 and another ADF Task Flow call - C1
    2. Page P1 has an atribut employee number as command image link,
    this command will call C1 and passing empNum as parameter
    3. C1 containts two page fragment , Pf1 and Pf2. Default activity is Pf1
    4. Ineed to pass parameter empNumb  available in P1 into ADF Task Flow call C1..
    Is it possible when I click command image link, then it will call Pf2 in C1 ?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    samantha

    Hi Samantha,
    You mean to say, u want to skip the default activity Pf1 in C1?
    And for passing parameters use Add a parameter in your taskflow. (put the empnumber in pageflowscope and pass that as a parameter to the new taskflow C1).
    Thanks

  • How to pass parameter between two jsp pages using web link (not form)

    Hi Friends,
    I have two jsp pages and would like to pass a parameter from one JSP page (one.jsp) to another JPS page (two.jsp)
    in one.jsp
    <a href="two.jsp?ant="<%=ant%">"> <%=antName%> </a><br>
    I don't know how to pass value of parameter "ant" to two.jsp from one.jsp.
    Can anyone help this? Thank you in advance</a>

    Looks like you've got it almost right - just an extra unneeded "
    <a href="two.jsp"?ant=<%= ant %>"><%=antName%></a>
    which should render on the page as something like
    My Ant Task
    When you click the link, it should pass that parameter, and you can get it via request.getParameter().

  • How to retrieve the parameter names from a JSP page ? Urgent Please

    Hello,
    Can anybody tell me how to retrieve the parameter names from the JSP
    page. (without using getParameterNames() method.)
    The problem with the getParameterNames() method is I get the Jumbled output.
    I need it very badly
    With regards

    [email protected]

    Dear duffymo,
    My primary intention is to convert the JSP form information into a XML file.
    If I do not get the Parameter names in the correct order how can I maintain
    tag order in XML file.
    For ex: (JSP PAGE VIEW)
    Name--
    FirstName
    MiddleName
    LastName
    Address--
    Street1
    Street2
    City
    Country
    &so on
    (XML File to be generated)
    <Name>
    <FirstName>Value</FirstName>
    </Name>
    <Address>
    <street1>value</street1>
    </Address>
    & so on
    If I use getParameterNames() to get all the parameter names(Which form the tag names in the XML file ) the Enumeration object it returns will not be in the same order as the text fields in JSP.From this I can not construct a meaningful XML file.
    order means: Order of entry on the page, from top to bottom
    That's it

  • Modifying the cell content based on input parameter from variable screen.

    I am trying to modify a cell content in the BEX Web Application Report based on the input parameter from the variable screen.
    I am already aware of how to change the cell content by creating a new ABAP class and inheriting CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE.
    I do not know how to get the input parameter variable from the variable screen in my custom class ZCL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE. I am not very familiar with ABAP and would appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    Sowmini

    in the start method
    define a work area like line of n_r_data_set->N_SX_VERSION_20A_1-TXT_SYMBOLS
    loop at n_r_data_set->N_SX_VERSION_20A_1-TXT_SYMBOLS into <wa> ..
    endloop .
    This will have all the filter, variable values entered in the selection.

  • Passing parameter to a jsp from a servlet

    Hi,
    I need to pass a parameter from a servlet to a jsp without using the session object. Is it possible? I've been looking for a method like response.setParameter but it doesn't exist.
    Please help !!!

    Actually, there is no setParameter method in the ServletRequetsObject. Still, you can create one. This can be usefull when you have a jsp that get its parameters from either a direct html form posting or a forward from a servlet. This can be achieved using wrappers, instead of the real request object.
    It's not really tricky, it's only a little "underknown" feature.
    Here is a sample code when you can fake the settings of requets parameters :
    public class MyRequest extends HttpServletRequestWrapper {
       private HashMap fakedParameters;
       public MyRequest(HttpServletRequest nested) {
          super(this);
          fakedParameters=new HashMap();
        public void setParameter(String key,String value) {
            fakedParameters.put(key,value);
        public String getParameter(String name) {
           String res=fakedParameter.get(name):
           if (res==null)
               res=super.getParameter(name);
           return res;
    }NB: this is a sample, you may also override other method (such as getParameterNames) for a full featuerd wrapped request.
    Now, you can use your wrapped request :
    MyRequest req2=new MyRequest(request);
    RequestDispatcher dispatcher=request.getRequestDispatcher("/somePage.jsp");
    req2.setParameter("name","yourName");
    dispatcher.formard(req2,response);Hope it helps.

  • Redirect from task-flow to an external link

    Hi,
    From a bounded task-flow I have to use an ePayment virtual system. I have some parameters to fill and call an external link. One of those parameters is the ReturnURL when the payment system will return after finishing the Credit Card payment.
    I am confuse about what to give to ReturnURL variable if the call is from a task-flow. Note that I need the return to be in a specific View inside the task-flow to let me modify/add some value to the DataBase.
    getHeader did not work because it gives the following:
    request.getHeader("Referer");
    http://localhost:7101/TasdeeqApp/faces/member-task-flow/certifyDocument?_adf.ctrl-state=12oyjcx0ho_27
    Any idea about how to develop this type of external payment server using ADF-faces?
    Task-Flow------->https://XXXX---->Back to a specific View inside the Task-Flow
    Thank you
    Jamil
    Edited by: Jamil Nour on Sep 20, 2010 6:47 AM

    Hi Jamil,
    First of all in your case as you want to return to the page in ADF from the epayment, you must to use the UN-bounded task flow with a page that has bookmark flag==true in order to be able to return to that page in your UN-bounded task flow.
    But if you are insist to use the bounded task flow when creating that task flow in the create page un-check the property use-page-fragment.
    then, drag a page ->.jsp not .jsff on that bounded task flow and when you run that page from bounded task flow you will see the address.
    use that address for the return-path.
    http://127.0.0.1:7101/test-forum-ViewController-context-root/faces/adf.task-flow;jsessionid=vGtgMYGSnFdyv1LQXhJ1yQ69MWT26ppvVJQdZTRyzKStrs5L2kHq!-448081696?adf.tfId=*task-flow-definition1*&adf.tfDoc=*/WEB-INF/task-flow-definition1.xml*&_afrLoop=1003390740777&_afrWindowMode=0&_afrWindowId=null
    those with bold is what the parameter must be included when you just right-click on the page on the bounded task flow and run it you will see the URL. just use that URL.
    But if you want to use page fragment to be included in the popup in the page it is not possible to return to them.
    to complicate the situation I have to add another problem that when you want to return to a page in the bounded task flow that page must be only the Entry point (the page with a green hollow around it) if you want to return to a page in the middle of the Task Flow you must use a router in the First Entry and that router base on some parameter from Request decide that go to which page.
    if you think this senario complecated just drop me an email and I will create a test case for you.
    another issue to consider is the property of adf.ctrl-state=16d41j3t8n4* generally when you want to return to an ADF application if you do not specify the exact adf.ctrl parameter to the URL when you want to return to ADF you will face some problem, to clarify the issue when you login to a ADF applicaiton a adf.ctrl parameter is generated that hold the user specific parameter when you leave ADF and want to return to ADF again, as you not login again(create fresh session), you want to continue your last session, you must return to ADF application with same value for ADFctrl.
    I hope this issues give you the idea. ;)

  • BPEL customisation on look up field on human task jsp notification.

    We want to customize human task jsp notification
    Some of files are needed to populate a static list or SQL query and we need to use cascading list on custom jsp file.
    can we do this declaretively or we need to develop to code.
    if we need to code how ?
    Thanks...

    Our some of the human task parameter need to be dynamic list
    For example we have a job parameter whose data came from jobs table.
    We can't find how we can do declaretively from task definitions.
    So we tried to solve this customizing jsp code.
    First We create a human task
    and then we create auto generate simple task form jsp's.
    We want to customize this jsp's.
    Some of task parameter need to be a a list box on this jsp.
    so we need to change fallowing procedures (I think)
    <%=getField(payload, form, context, thisDisabled, locale, task, "Next User", "/ns0:task/ns0:payload/ns0:NextUser", "string")%>
    So we need to sample code how can we do it...
    Thanks...

    I have created a Midlet that shoud display a certain list which is from the remote database. The list comes from a JSP file in the server. When I use the browser I can see the list.
    The problem comes when I have to take the same list and output it in my midlet file. Then finding the selected index of the selecte item of the same list and using it somewhere else.
    I would appreciate it if somone could help me !!
    My head is speaning now !!! If you want me to post my code so one could identidy the proble, I don't mind !! Help please !!

    Here is my Code !!

  • How to capture the data from a JSP form

    Hi
    I have a JSP form, My task is to capture the data from a JSP and submit to Data Base. for example I have the field like
    Enter Table name to be created in data base: The table name is to be captured by a servlet and by that table name, table should be created in the data base.
    Edited by: Reddy_Prasad on ?? ?????, ???? ?:?? ???????
    Edited by: Reddy_Prasad on ?? ?????, ???? ?:?? ???????

    Get the entered value from the jsp into servlet using request.getParameter("enteredTableName"). it will return the String,pass this table name to execute query using JDBC connection and statement objects.
