Retrieve files from a text list and copy them to other location?

Hi,
I work as a photographer: my clients often send me their final selections of my pictures as a text list (i.e. file001.jpg file 004.jpg file 054.jpg and so on), so I have to go back and pick each picture "by hand": this is a huge waste of time since I'm dealing with hundreds of picks in thousands of files.
My question is: is there a way to retrieve and copy the selected files automatically? I was thinking about feeding the list of files to Automator, but I can't seem to find a way to do it.

ok I seemed to have it sorted out...
Niel, I'm no programmer at all, but thanx to your script I was able to come up with this:
tell application "Finder"
set source_folder to choose folder with prompt "Select folder with all pictures"
set the_files to every paragraph of (read (choose file with prompt "Select text file with the names of the pictures to be copied"))
set target_folder to choose folder with prompt "Select destination folder"
repeat with this_file in the_files
try
duplicate item this_file of source_folder to target_folder
end try
end repeat
end tell
that seems to work!
needs some fine tuning, like including subfolders of the first folder chosen!

How to retrieve comments from one OfficeTask activity and use them in another OfficeTask activity for Multi level Approval sequential Workflow

I'm designing a sequential site workflow using Visual Studio 2010 for Project Server 2010. In my case, I have following 6 stages in the workflow:
1. InitialProposal Stage
2. Approval Stage1 -- Needs approval from Approver Project Security Group Members1
3. Rejection Stage
4. Approval Stage2 -- Needs approval from Approver Project Security Group Members 2
5. Execution Stage
6. Completed Stage
Requirement is workflow should move to Approval stage2 from Approval stage1 if approved by all members of Approver Project Security Group1and it should move to Rejection Stage even if a single member rejects it.
Workflow should move from Approval Stage2 to Execution Stage if approved by all members of Approver Project Security Group2 and it should move back to Approval Stage1 on rejection by a single member of the group.
I'm using inbuilt PSWApproval content type and OfficeTask activity for creating approval task for the group members at both stages.
On task rejected in Approval stage2, task will be assigned again to Approval Stage1 and I want to show comments given by members of Approver Project Security Group2 to the members of Approver Project Security Group1 with this assigned task
but I'm not able to retrieve comments from officeTask activity.
My question is where exactly these comments are saved? how can we retrieve them and use them in another officetask activity? If this is not possible then what is the possible solution for meeting above mentioned business requirement?

Thanks for your suggestion.
By comments field I'm assuming OfficeTask.Comments field. Problem is, this field is always null. I tried accessing this field in CheckExitCondition activity as well as in OnTaskCompleted but in both the cases, it was null only(I wrote comments while approving
the task).
I used a code activity within OnTaskCompleted activity and following code for accessing Comments and Description fields:

Is there any way to take backed up files from an old OS and get them onto a new phone? They are backed up as txt files.

I have a six year old lap top with an old OS and itunes 10. I backed up my i phone 4 on it. I got an I phone 5 and the version of Itunes compatible is not supported by the laptop. I installed itunes on a different computer and when trying to sync the iphone 4 to the desktop, updated the iphone 4 software. Now my iphone 4 is no longer compatible with my laptop. I am interested in getting my contacts and photos from my old laptop to either iphone at this point. I have the backed up files but they are txt files in the Mobile Sync Back ups. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Generally when moving from one phone to another, individuals will make a backup of the one device and then restore to the second device. However, it seems you are no longer using the computer you made the backup on, so that can be a problem. There is no way for you to take information out of the backup and insert it in the iPhone. It is an all or none proposition. But, just moving the backup folder from one computer to another doesn't work either.
Did you sync the contacts to a supported application on the computer? Also, if you are referring to the photos in the camera roll, you can import them to the computer by connecting the phone to the computer. You do not need iTunes to do that. Just plug in and let the computer photo import utility take the pictures and put them on the computer. Then you would sync the photos back to the photo library on the new phone,
Contacts you can look at a 3rd party app that might help. MCBackup is in the app store and converts your contacts to a file you can email to yourself and then click on it and open it. Suggest syncing contacts/calendar to a supported application on the computer, or to iCloud so you can recover a lot easier.

i'm at a website, i request down load of file, Usually a report. the download occurs. i click on the download button and see the list of downloaded files. I select one. NOTHING HAPPENS. What did i do wrong and how do i fix it???

Opening files from an XServe – Can Bridge copy them local first?

I have an issue with my users opening files directly off the network. This sometimes causes issues with the server and particulaly leaves those InDesign temp files everywhere.
My question is that it was my understanding there was a way to use Bridge to copy the file in the background at open and close. A process that would be invisible to the user. We are using XServe, no version Cue, all on 10.5.latest. Any suggestions on where to start or reference for similar code would be greatly appreciated, speak slowly, I have never coded for Bridge or java.

Use GUI_DOWNLOAD to download data in a file on the presentation server or use OPEN DATASET, TRANSFER and CLOSE DATASET statements to download data to the application server.
Now, I hope the code for data fetching, if required, is already present in the report.

OSB: Retrieving file from disk and sending it via MTOM

I'm trying to retrieve binary file from OSB local disk and than send it via MTOM.
I've created a JCA synchronized reading file adapter. I've unchecked the "native message" option to disable schema translation. The files content seems getting picked up into <wsdl:part name="opaque" element="opaque:opaqueElement" />. I don't like the fact that it is encoded in base64. How to disable base64 decoding?
I've tried to set the "native message" to some binary element, like <xs:element name="Attachment" type="xs:base64Binary" />. Then I get the "Schema translation failed" exception every time. What my native message should be to pick up a straight forward binary file?
Can you guide me please how to create a file OSB transport service that would be able to read files?
Also, if I obtain the file's content, how do I send it from proxy to proxy as a mtom? All of my proxy chains have enabled MTOM and pass binary as reference, but when I look up the messages transmitted, the opaque element seems to contain straigth forward base64 content, not binary reference.
I would appreciate any help regarding any of this topics.

Connect the iPhone to your Mac, launch iTunes.
If you haven't done this yet, go to the iTunes menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer
Now from the iTunes menu bar again, click File / Transfer Purchases From...

No. You cannot access your Time Capsule directly from an iOS device. The only way to back up an iOS device is to a computer through iTunes or to iCloud, though in some cases you can open and save files via another cloud-based service such as Dropbox.
