Retrieving Posted Data in a URL

I am trying to retrieve data that a third-party vendor is posting to a URL that I supply. I think that I need to use "utl_http.request_pieces(url)" to retrieve the data, but I get "SIGNATURE (parameter names) MISMATCH VARIABLES IN FORM NOT IN PROCEDURE: NON-DEFAULT VARIABLES IN PROCEDURE NOT IN FORM:.." when I printout the contents of the table. Is this error from my retrieval of the url contents or from the third-party vendor's post to the url? Am I doing something wrong? Is this the correct procedure to use to retrieve posted data from a URL that is not passed as parameters?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

The reason I used deep linking was that was the only way that I could access the variables that were being sent from the first file. It took me most of the day finding a solution that would work! Is there a better way to capture the variables when I link to a file?
Here's what works for me in the file I've connetced to (the critical line is:  userName=o.connectionPw;):
import mx.managers.BrowserManager;
import mx.managers.IBrowserManager;
import mx.utils.URLUtil;
private var bm:IBrowserManager;
public function init():void{
    bm = BrowserManager.getInstance();
    bm.init("");
// The following code will parse a URL that passes string parameters after the "#" sign; for example:
    var o:Object = URLUtil.stringToObject(bm.fragment);
    userName=o.connectionPw;

  • Receive POST data from another URL and process using Struts

    Hi there
    We have a website and as of now we are receiving some data from another URL which is received as an appended part of the URL. My application uses Struts and we process the received data and send back a response.
    Now my question is, I have been asked to change this behavior because there are more parameters now which cannot be passed through the URL. I am supposed to get the data from the other URL as POST data (as a form) and I have to create a new Struts action to receive this data, process it and send the response back to the requesting URL.
    Please explain me how to do this using some example code snippets.
    Thanks a lot

    Lookup in XI is used to call the target data storage system and get data from there to your mapping programme.
    In XI you can do Lookup in Message Mapping, Java Mapping and in XSLT Mapping. Previously Lookup in XI was system dependent. But now what ever the system are i.e. SAP system or non-sap system(Oracle,MS SQL etc) lookup API are same.
    Overview of Lookup
    - Lookups are used to identify/request the data from mapping program.
    - It interrupt the process and looking for data which was stored in target system.
    - It get that data and comeback to process and continue with that data.
    Types of Lookups in XI
    - JDBC Lookup: JDBC lookup is used for accessing data from database (non SAP).
    - RFC Lookup: RFC lookup is used for accessing the SAP Data.
    - SOAP Lookup: SOAP lookup is used for accessing data from Webservice
    Steps to perform Lookup in Mapping
    Import package com.sap.aii.mapping.lookup.*;
    Create connection to the target Database system.
    // Determine communication channel created in ID
    Channel channel = null;
    channel = LookupService.getChannel("DB-SYSTEM-NAME","DB-CHANNEL-NAME");
    // Get system accessor for the channel.
    DataBaseAccessor accessor = null;
    accessor = LookupService.getDataBaseAccessor(channel);
    Build the Query String.
    Getting Result
    // Execute Query and get the values.
    DataBaseResult resultSet = null;
    resultSet = accessor.execute(Query);

  • Post data to https URL not working!!

    I currently have an issue with tunnelling through a 1.1 proxy with JSSE.
    I used the SSLTunnelSocketFactory class (as defined in http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip111-p2.html) and
    tried to use it in my code.
    Unfortunately, it doesn't work.
    I'm trying to connect to a secure (https) website and post some xml to
    it then read the response.
    I write the xml to the output stream and then try to open the input
    stream for reading back the response.
    I get the following error:
    Connection aborted by peer: socket write error
    Does anyone have an example of code that will do a post of xml (or any
    data) to a secure URL and read the results? Whether it's using apache's
    httpclient, JSSE or something else?
    Thanks for any help you can give.

    Here's the code where it tries to connect:

    Hi, the problem is to do with the HTTP 1.1 proxy, not SSL itself.
    Basically, if you connect through a proxy that is a 1.1 proxy, the
    JSSE classes check for HTTP/1.0 in the status of the connection to
    the proxy. This will fail due to the fact that HTTP/1.1 is returned
    as part of the string (see javaworld url above for description of problem).
    Anyway, my problem is trying to implement a workaround. My post
    to the SSL site isn't working correctly.

  • Best option to transmit CSV file as POST data to remote site

    I'm quite new to the SAP scene and am tasked with getting some data out of our database and up to a third party web application.
    Their API requests the data be formatted as a CSV file and uploaded as an HTTP POST attachment (file upload) to their site.
    What's my best approach to this?
    We have PI, but I just learned about CL_HTTP_CLIENT and am hoping I can do this move directly from the ABAP environment but am unsure of the sorts of technicalities involved with either of these options.
    Can I setup a "service" in PI that simply posts data to a URL (as opposed to sending a SOAP request)?
    What sort of setup do I need to do to get CL_HTTP_CLIENT to talk to the remote site? I've tested with HTTP_POST and get an SSL error even when posting to a non-ssl url (http).

  • Getting posting date for MBLB

    I uses report MBLB to get stock at sub contractor site. Now I want to get posting date of document based on each material number. How do I do that? What is the business logic to retrieve posting date? Thanks!

    Hi,
    Posting Date
    The Posting Date determines the posting period and defines in which fiscal period a document will post (regardless of the Document or Entry date). The periods that are permitted for posting are determined by Accounting Services. This is the date that G/L Account Balances are updated. The Posting Date will override the Fiscal Period entered on a document if they are different.

  • POST Data Using Javascript

    Hi Guys,
    I ran into this trouble, basically, what I need is to post data into this url using REST:

    now it says:
    do this with a variable name content, containing "key: value" line by line:
    id:
    Action: comment
    Text: the text comment
    now it has a sample on how to do this using java:
    import java.io.IOException;
    import org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpClient;
    import org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods.PostMethod;
    import org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods.multipart.MultipartRequestEntity;

    import org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods.multipart.StringPart;

    public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
    PostMethod mPost = new PostMethod(BASE_URI + "/1234/comment/");
    Part[] parts = { new StringPart("content", "id: 1234\nAction: comment") };
    mPost.setRequestEntity(new MultipartRequestEntity(parts, mPost.getParams()));
    HttpClient cl = new HttpClient();
    cl.executeMethod(mPost);
    System.out.println(mPost.getResponseBodyAsString());
    Now, my question is: Can I do this using javascript? If yes, could you at least give me an idea how to accomplish this?

  • Calling external URL with POST data

    Hi:
    In my action bean I have to call and external URL (outside my domain), and along with this URL 'POST' data. I have tried the following code:
    try {
    FacesContext lclFC = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getFacesContext();
    lclFC.getExternalContext().getRequestMap().put("x_loc_zip","94804");
    lclFC.getExternalContext().redirect("http://www.mysite.com/personals/search/search.html");
    } catch (IOException e) {
    throw new FacesException(e);
    finally {
    lclFC.responseComplete();
    This works fine in calling the other URL, but no data is sent thru the post protocol. I have no control to the site I am calling....
    I have also tried
    ExternalContext ectx = FacesContext.getInstance().getFacesContext().getExternalContext();
    HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest) ectx.getRequest();
    HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse) ectx.getResponse();
    RequestDispatcher dispatcher = request.getRequestDispatcher("http://www.mysite.com/personals/search/search.html");
                   dispatcher.forward(request, response);
    But this tends to put a "/" at the front of the called URL. Can someone please recoomed the coorect way to call a URL from yr action bean and sending it data thru post protocol. I also wish that this new URL should now be displayed within the browser. This is urgent, yr quick reply is appreciated

    Myfaces sandbox form gives the ability to change its action url and port. Look here:

  • ACE match http url with post data

    I need to make a layer-7 load balancing decision at the ACE module based on a URL string that includes form POST data. It is important that the balancing decision include and parse the part of the URL after the question mark. This doesn't seem to work with the "match http url" config on the ACE. My interpretation is that the ACE does not consider the POST data to be part of the URL string, and therefore does not include it in the regular expression matching. Am I missing something here, or have I run into a limitation of the ACE module?
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any L7__URL_MATCH_CLASS
    2 match http url index.php\?field=content.*

    Hi
    The '?' has a special meaning in the URL. It means the end of the main URL and the beginning of the URL query.
    Its not possible to match ? in the url.
    One option could be using secondary cookie matching in ACE.
    class-map type http loadbalance match-any xyz
    2 match http cookie secondary field cookie-value content

  • Getting at POST data from a pl/sql procedure through Path Aliasing

    Hi.
    I have mod_plsql configured with "path alias" and "path alias procedure" so that the request ends up in my
    procedure and i have the remaining path in p_path. This is what I want.
    http://<domain>/<dad>/<myalias>/<p_path>
    My question is; is there a way at this point to get at POST data in the request? I haven't been able to find
    any way of doing this looking through the documentation. Is the body of the request lost at the gateway
    (mod_plsql) using path alias?
    If so, is there some other way to achieve something like !myproc(name_array [somearr], value_arr [somearr])
    where the first entry in the arrays is an eqvivalent to p_path?

    My question is; is there a way at this point to get at POST data in the request? Do not understand the question as a POST and GET are simply two different methods that a web browser submits a URL and data. There is no "+path+" involved here.Thank you for answering. I think the confusion is because you disregard what I said about "path alias" and "path alias procedure".
    Those are configuration of the mod_plsql gateway so that any URI containing <myalias> above is directed to the procedure stated
    by "path alias procedure". The gateway also sends any remaining parts of the URI to this procedure as an varchar2 argument (p_path).
    My problem is that I see no way to get at any POST data as the signature of this procedure has to be this one varchar2, and I don't
    know any other way to get at the body of the request.
    >

    where the first entry in the arrays is an eqvivalent to p_path?If you want to know what the URL is, the full path used, then you need to look at the CGI (Command Gateway Interface) environment. The web server builds a list of CGI variables. These include the type of web server, the URL, the type of HTTP command (GET or POST), and so on.
    Within your PL/SQL web procedure, you can query these CGI variables. Have a look at the function OWA_UTIL.GET_CGI_ENV in the [Oracle® Database PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/w_util.htm#i997269] guide.
    Take a look at CGI variables such as PATH_INFO, PATH_TRANSLATED, SCRIPT_NAME and so on.Yes, thank you, but my problem is a bit upside down. I do use the cgi environment to get the method and I have path as input, what I can't
    find is the body of the request. I might be approaching this entirely the wrong way. It might be a bit easyer to understand if I state that I'm
    trying to find a way to implement a RESTfull service in pl/sql.

  • Details on data types for posting data to DB2 on AS400 from XI

    Hi
       We have a scenario in which we post data from XI (3.0, SP23 ) to DB2 on AS400 and we are using jdbc adapters ( jdbc drivers from IBM deployed on XI J2EE server as per SAP's instructions )
    On AS400-DB2, there are two files F1 and F2  that we have to update in a particular library L1 - on a server S1.  Each of the two files has a single field with the same name as that of the file.
    I have the following questions :
    1. How do we construct/specify the data type in order to convert XML from XI to the sql that DB2 needs - I do understand there is a standard data type structure used to convert XML to sql calls when we use JDBC receiver adapter type communication channel. Do we use the same for posting XML data from XI to DB2 too ?
    2. What is the url for the jdbc driver - to connect to DB2 on AS400 ?
    Please share experiences of XI -- > posting to DB2 using JDBC.

    Used standard xml -->SQL constructs

  • How can I send post data through nsurlrequest?

    Hi.
    I'm working on an application which needs to make requests to a php gateway. I tried many examples I found on google, but none of them worked for me.
    First I was working with GET, and it worked just fine, but now, as I need to send more complex data, GET isn't a solution anymore. I have three params to send: module which is a string containing a php class name, method: the function in the class, and params for the function which is usually an indexed array.
    The following method makes the request to the server, but for some reason, doesn't send the POST data. If I var_dump($_REQUEST) or var_dump($_POST), it turns out, the array is empty. Can somebody tell me, what am I doing wrong? Is there some kind of a sandbox, which prevents data from being sent to the? I also tried to send some random strings, which aren't json encoded, no luck. The sdk version is 5.1, and I'm using the iPhone simulator from xcode.
    If it is possible I would like to solve this problem without any additional libraries (like asihttp).
    And here is the code:
    +(NSObject *)createRequest:(NSString *)module: (NSString *)method: (NSArray *)params
        NSString *url       = @"http://url/gateway.php";
        NSData *requestData = nil;

                method, @"method",
                params, @"params",

        NSString *jsonMessage = [data JSONRepresentation];
        NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[NSMutableURLRequest alloc] initWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:url]];
        NSString *msgLength = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", [jsonMessage length]];
        [request addValue: @"text/xml; charset=utf-8" forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Type"];
        [request addValue: msgLength forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Length"];
        [request setHTTPMethod:@"POST"];
        [request setHTTPBody: [jsonMessage dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]];
        requestData     = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:request returningResponse:nil error:nil];
        NSString *get   = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:requestData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding];

    Thank you.

    Why not?
    Unfortunately, you are dealing with a number of different technologies that have been cobbled together over the years. You could write a PHP server that would respond correctly to this request, but not using basic methods like the $_POST variable. PHP was designed for HTML and true forms. What you are trying to do is make it work as a general purpose web service over the HTTP protocol. You can do that, but not with the form-centric convenience variables.
    The following is a basic program that will populate the $_POST variable.
    #import <Foundation/Foundation.h>
    int main(int argc, const char * argv[])
      @autoreleasepool
        // insert code here...
        NSLog(@"Hello, World!");
        NSString  * module = @"coolmodule";
        NSString * method = @"slickmethod";
        //NSArray * params = @[@"The", @"Quick", @"Brown", @"Fox"];
        NSString * params = @"TheQuickBrownFox";
        NSString * url = @"http://localhost/~jdaniel/test.php";
        NSDictionary * data  =
          [NSDictionary
            dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:
              module, @"module",
              method, @"method",
              params, @"params",
              nil];
        //NSString *jsonMessage = [data JSONRepresentation];
        //NSData * jsonMessage =
        //  [NSJSONSerialization
        //    dataWithJSONObject: data options: 0 error: nil];

    I have written this type of low-level server in PHP using the Zend framework. I don't know how to do it in basic PHP and wouldn't bother to learn.
    Also, you should review how you are sending data. I changed your example to send the appropriate data and content-type for the $_POST variable. If you had a server that could support something else, you could use either JSON or XML, but your data and content-type would have to match.

  • How do I post data in HTML fields

    Hi.
    I need to log onto a web server from LabVIEW 7.1. I have this working in VB, but I don't know how to use the Microsoft Web Browser ActiveX object (specifically how to find the types of some variants).
    In VB, I'd do the following to post data into two fields and click a button:
    WebBrowser1.Document.frames(1).loginform.UserName.Value = "username"
    WebBrowser1.Document.frames(1).loginform.Password.Value = "password"
    WebBrowser1.Document.frames(1).loginform.Item(2).Click
    From the web browser object in LV I can navigate to the URL, and decode the Document variant which seems to be of type MSHTML.DispHTMLDocument. How do I proceed from here? How do I access the different frames, forms, data fields and buttons on the web page?
    Since variants in LabVIEW carry type descriptors internally, it'd be nice to have some way to access this so I wouldn't have to guess what object prototype to convert the variant with.

    CLA and CTA. Worked with LabVIEW from 4.0 to 2010 and counting...

    Hi Steen,
    I was workin in an application of accessing frames, forms and then buttons in web pages in background...
    In labview there was a problem in the MSHTMLDocument.frames functions and so will not be able to get the frames ..
    but it is possible to access forms in a page directly...i have an eg for searchin in google..(i have attached the vi)
    I need to know whether it is possible in VB to go to a particular frame in a page and then if the frame has a form i need to login in form in that frame...
    Could you please share me the code in VB (for the same)..so that it would be helpful for me...and also is it possible to make dll in vb and use in other enviorment like VC++..

  • Error while posting data from SCM to XI

    Dear Expertise,
    I got a requirement where I need to post data from SCM to XI server. From SCM
    side it is an ABAP proxy. When I tested the scenario and checked in the MONI of
    SCM I got an error. But SCM is correctly configured pointing to XI under Tcode
    SM59 (SM59 --> Connection Type H (HTTP Connection to ABAP System) -->with
    correct user credentials and PIPE line URL of XI server).
    Please let me know is this the correct settings for ABAP proxy for connecting
    from SCM system to XI system.
    Error Dump in SXMB_MONI:

    HI
    Check these
    For Error: HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 401 Unauthorized
    Description: The request requires user authentication
    Possible Tips:
    • Check XIAPPLUSER is having this Role -SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
    • If the error is in XI Adapter, then your port entry should J2EE port 5<System no>
    • If the error is in Adapter Engine
    –then have a look into SAP note- 821026, Delete the Adapter Engine cache in transaction SXI_CACHE Goto --> Cache.
    • May be wrong password for user XIISUSER
    • May be wrong password for user XIAFUSER
    – for this Check the Exchange Profile and transaction SU01, try to reset the password -Restart the J2EE Engine to activate changes in the Exchange Profile After doing this, you can restart the message

  • How to post data to Oracle B2B's httpReceiver using SOAP UI

    Hi All,
    I have successfully tested an inbound EDI X12 810 transaction by creating document version, type, definition. I have used an inbound file channel in this case to
    pick the file and the sender trading partner is dentified from the ISA and GS values as I have configured EDI Interchange ID and EDI Group ID at Remote trading
    partner profile level. This configuration is successfully working fine.
    Now my intention is to replace the inbound file channel with httpReceiver i.e. I just want to post 810 document to B2B's httpReceiver using SOAP UI instead of
    using inbound file channel. For this I have mentioned Generic Identifier as Acme under the profile tab of Remote trading partner (Note that Acme is my remote
    trading partner). And I am posting data to httpReceiver using SOAP UI by setting sender as Acme in the SOAP UI headers. But in the B2B reports, the transaction
    is erroring out as it is unable to identify sender, doc type and agreement.
    Please let me know is this the correct way of populating headers from SOAP UI? Is Sender only sufficient in the headers or any others required? Do I need to pass
    IP address also as header? If so, is it my machine IP address? Is that should be static IP compulsorily?

    Found an answer - hope this is what the first person was looking for.
    You can embedded the Apex code within HTML with the following key steps:
    1. Java scripts need to reference the correct URL paths. For example on apex.oracle.com they would be
    <script src="http://apex.oracle.com/i/javascript/htmldb_html_elements.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script src="http://apex.oracle.com/i/javascript/htmldb_get.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    2. The <form...> tag needs to have the DAD URL in it. Such as:
    <form action="http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/wwv_flow.accept" method="post" name="wwv_flow" id="wwvFlowForm" >
    Any other references need to point to the right URLs.
    Finally, the action that will occur after submission is defined by the Apex Form, so you will need to set the appropriate Branch action in the application, such as going back to the same URL currently on, etc.
