Returning to jsp causes error

I'm getting a bizarre error when one of my actions go back to my jsp page:
javax.faces.FacesException: Assertion Failed
     com.sun.faces.util.Util.doAssert(Util.java:1220)
Anyone have any idea?

  • Kff.where returns 'null'  and causes sql error - looking for a work around

    Hello,
    I am using BI 5.6.3 in EBS (11.5.10.2)
    I have created a kff.where as follows:
    <lexical
    type="oracle.apps.fnd.flex.kff.where"
    name="lp_location_where_clause"
    comment="Comment"
    application_short_name="OFA"
    id_flex_code="LOC#"
    id_flex_num=":lp_location_flex_structure"
    code_combination_table_alias="loc"
    segments="ALL"
    operator="BETWEEN"
    operand1=":p_location_low"
    operand2=":p_location_high"/>
    </lexicals>
    Everything works fine, as long as I have a values for the p_location_low and p_location_high. However, this is a parameter that comes in from a concurrent program and is optional. When the user doesn't pick a value, :p_location_low is the concatenated delimiters for the location '..'.
    When this runs, the kff.where is returning null which causes 'Invalid Relational Operation error' because 'AND null' is not valid.
    Warning in the log is :[091910_025232517][][STATEMENT] !!Warning: FlexAPI returns null for 'x_where_expression' lexical definition...
    Does anyone have a workaround for this since making the parameter required is not an option for my users?
    Thanks for reading.

    In your SQL*Plus session, make sure you
    SQL> set define offbefore trying to create the Java stored procedure. SQL*Plus assumes that any string that begins with an & is a substitution variable unless you tell it that you have no substitution variables (via set define off).

  • Running a JSP file from the IDE causes error

    When I try to run a JSP file from a list of project files, I'm getting the following error:

    Anyone knows why it's doing this?

    Or Web app root, of course:

    WEB-INF ---> web.xml goes here
    classes ---> Loose .class files go here.

    Dear Guru's,
    I am not able to solve the above issue for last couple of days.
    I am newbie to the webservice
    My Issue...
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 Release 2
    1. Using Jdev I built one small Web Service with two methods.
            While testing the Webservice...
                   I passed User Id as Parameter and it successfully return the values (user id, user name and description) from fnd_user table
    2. I created another application to consume the web service i created.
                   1. I added the webservice SOAP and added the method.
                   2. Created a jsf page and drag and drop the parameter and return values to the jsf page.
    3. While executing the created jsf page I received the error message as below
    "oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-29114 ADFContext is not setup to process messages for this exception. Use the exception stack trace and error code to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is JBO-25058. Error message parameters are {0=Attribute, 1=UserName, 2=UserName}"
    Even I know that this issue is repeated one in our forum, I was not able to solve this issue.
    Can anybody help to solve this issue.

  • Why do I get a 'Certutil: A referral was returned from the server' error when trying to publish my renewed Offline Root CRL to AD?

    Hi,
    I renewed my Offline Root CA and now trying to publish the CRL to AD on my Sub Issuing CA with the Certutil -dspublish command, however I get a 'Certutil: A referral was returned from the server' error.  Kinda makes sense cause the Offline Root CA is
    not on the network, so then how do I publish my renewed CRL to AD given this?
    Thanks for your help! SdeDot

    Looks like your CRL do not include Active Directory container specification and certutil don't know where to publish the CRL.
    Does root CA define LDAP url in CDP extension? If not, then you don't need to publish CRL in Active Directory, because no one will use it.

  • Code 91 - Caused Error: (Object variable or With block variable not set)

    Hi,
    We are using FDM 9.3.1. We have enabled batch processing.
    We are having following process being followed
    - Batch Loader script will pull the data from dwh table for each entity, scenario, year and period
    - Batch processing is set to serial and processlevel set to Up-To-Check
    - We had following five files created for Location - EMAFF100
    i. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_May-2011_RR.txt
    ii. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Jun-2011_RR.txt
    iii. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Jul-2011_RR.txt
    iv. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Aug-2011_RR.txt
    v. 1_EMAFF100_ACT_Sep-2011_RR.txt
    Batch loader process completed the processing for May - 2011, Jul - 2011, Aug-2011, Sep-2011.
    But for Jun 2011 it has given the following error in the 'tbatchinformation' table and failed at import stage.
    40751.6239236111 1_EMAFF100_ACT_JUN-2011_RR.TXT 2 2 91-Object variable or With block variable not set
    When we checked the view error log from tool menu we found following

    We then re submitted data for Jun period and saw batch process got successfully completed and June data got imported successfully and also rest other processes got through.
    Can any one provide exact cause for this error? As we have automated the data load from DWH to FDM And then to HFM. Hence when such error comes it disturbs lot of processing there on. Appreciate your early response.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi SAP collegues,
    At my site, BPC Excel created this problem too "Object Variable or With Block Variable not set" .
    It turned out that this is symptom of a a dys-functioning BPC COM Plug-in in XL2007 or XL2010!
    This is a consequence that your Excel recently crashed while using BPC. And it relates to an Excel Add-in becoming disabled when the applications crashes.  Please check the following.
    Note before doing the following, close all other open Excel and BPC sessions.
    Within Excel go to File à Options
    Select the Add-Ins option on the left
    Select the <<COM Add-ins >> option in the Manage drop down, and click Go
    Make sure that the Planning and Consolidation option is selected.  If not, mark this box and click OK.
    If you do not see anything listed, return to the Add-in screen and select the Disabled Items option, and see if Planning and Consolidation is listed there.
    Let me know if you have any queries,
    Kind Regards,

  • !!! Jsp compilation error in deploying : in migrating from WLS 8.1 to 9.2

    Hi,
    We are trying to migrate a .war file from WLS 8.1 to WLS 9.2. After other changes are done, while deploying the .war file in in WLS 9.2 we are getting errors for a jsp file:

    ConfigurationManager configMan = ConfigurationManager.getInstance(); // Line 6 .. causing error 2

    Hi,
    You can get rid of JSP version specific problems by using the following weblogic.xml file:-
    <weblogic-web-app>
    <jsp-descriptor>
    <jsp-param>
    <param-name>backwardCompatible</param-name>
    <param-value>true</param-value>
    </jsp-param>
    </jsp-descriptor>
    <weblogic-web-app>
    It will also confirm if the error you are seeing is due to JSP version differences in 8.1 and 9.x.
    Regards.

  • Why sys_extract_utc(sysdate) never causes error in pl/sql block?

    Oracle 11.2
    I cannot use
    SELECT sys_extract_utc(sysdate) FROM DUAL But I can use
    v := sys_extract_utc(sysdate)in a procedure or a trigger without causing any compile or run-time error.
    In my opinion, the return value of function sysdate doesn't contain any timezone info, so it should not be able to be used as the parameter of function sys_extract_utc, because it needs timezone info to do the conversion.
    Any clues?
    Thanks in advance.

    Kiran wrote:
    use systimestamp it will contain timezone.I know, what I don't know is why sys_extract_utc(sysdate) can be used in procedure without causing any error. It should cause error, right?

    note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/5.5.17 logs

    Maybe print out from the exceptions in the conexionBD directly, even do a printStackTrace. Since the exceptions are encapulated it is hard to tell. Your setup for the database looks good. Not sure about class loading this way and how it will pool. I would suggest using the JNDI capability available from the context administration of Tomcat.

  • Weblogic 9 and JSP compiler errors

    Hello everyone,
              I am having problems with my Jsps in my EAR file deployed on WL 9.0.
              I have a Jsp called upms.jsp that contains the following code snippets:
              After my import statements, I have some code that creates a resource bundle that accesses a properties file:
               <%!
                   ResourceBundle bundle = null;
                   public void jspInit() {
                   bundle = ResourceBundle.getBundle("conf.properties");
              %>
              I get an error from the above code:
              upms.jsp:3:11: 'try' statement has neither 'catch' nor 'finally' clause
                        import="java.util.ResourceBundle"
              ^----------------------^
              I am totally clueless as to what that error means.
              Next I declare a bean I use in the jsp:
                   <jsp:useBean
                        id="userPrefsManagerBean"
              class="controllers.beans.UserPreferencesManagerBean"
                   scope="session">
                   </jsp:useBean>
                   <jsp:setProperty name="userPrefsManagerBean" property="*" />
              I get these errors from the above portion:
              upms.jsp:27:3: The qualifier of this name is a package, which cannot contain fields.
                   <jsp:setProperty name="userPrefsManagerBean" property="*" />
              ^-------------^
              upms.jsp:27:3: The qualifier of this name is a package, which cannot contain fields.
                   <jsp:setProperty name="userPrefsManagerBean" property="*" />
              ^-------------^
              upms.jsp:27:3: Expression expected (found '.' instead)
                   <jsp:setProperty name="userPrefsManagerBean" property="*" />
              ^-------------^
              upms.jsp:27:3: Syntax error: expected ) (found 'class' instead)
                   <jsp:setProperty name="userPrefsManagerBean" property="*" />
              ^-------------^
              upms.jsp:27:3: Syntax error: expected <identifier> (found ')' instead)
                   <jsp:setProperty name="userPrefsManagerBean" property="*" />
              ^-------------^
              Has anyone encountered these before?
              This jsp worked perfectly well when I deployed my EAR file on JBoss...no such luck using Weblogic.
              Is there something I am missing here? I appreciate any help.
              Cheers, :-)
              M.

    Mildred,
              Two suggestions:
              1) use option weblogic.jspc's "-keepgenerated", you can keep the generated
              servlet's source code.
              Please paste it here.
              2) Can you create a simple reproducer(e.g. a war), and put it here, so that
              we can debug it and give more clues.
              To reproduce your issue, I write a simple a simple
              UserPreferencesManagerBean classs below :
              package controllers.beans;
              public class UserPreferencesManagerBean {
              private int p1;
              public void setP1(int p)
              p1 = p;
              public int getP1()
              return p1;
              But it works(oh, I run it under 910MP1).
              We cannot tell too much without your further information
              Thanks
              Leon

  • JSP Compile errors

    Hi,
    I`ve noticed when trying to compile a JSP the compiler never seems to return any reasons for errors - this makes error finding very hard. Is this usual?
    for example the following code: -
    <html>
    <head>
    Instantiate a Transaction Object
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
    <font face = "Arial, Helvetica"><font size="+2"?
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    <center>
    <b>
    Instantiate Transaction Object...
    <%
    private Transaction m_transaction = new Transaction();
    m_transaction.setTraceToLog ( true );
    m_transaction.setRegisterName( true );
    m_transaction.setName( "Test transaction object" );
    m_transaction.registerDriver( "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver" );
    m_transaction.setDriverName( "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver" );
    m_transaction.setConnectionSource( m_transaction.createJDBCConnectionSource( "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver" ) );
    m_transaction.setDataSource( "jdbc:odbc:corp_dev" );
    m_transaction.setUserID( "sa" );
    m_transaction.setPassword( "" );
    m_transaction.setUseInitialSettings( true );
    m_transaction.setLoginTimeout( 0 );
    m_transaction.setOwner( this );
    m_transaction.setRestoreInitialSettings( false );
    if ( m_transaction.connect() )
    %>
    <%
    Connected okay
    %>
    <%
    else
    %>
    <%
    Connection Failed
    %>
    <%
    %>
    </b>
    </body>
    </html>
    When compiled, the output window message is: -

    It's possible that you've got a problem in your IOS release. I would upgrade to 15.1.4M9 and see if the problem goes away. If that doesn't do it, I would open a case with TAC and submit the latest crashinfo file to see if they can figure out what the problem might be. When you start getting into obscure system errors causing a reload, troubleshooting becomes much more difficult.

    put <security-constraint> tag also in your web.xml defining the <web-resource-collection>, <web-resource-name>, <url-pattern> and the
    <role-name>manager</role-name> inside <auth-constraint>, This role-name is important and you have to add this role in your tomcat-users.xml also. See sample web.xml in ..\webapps\manager\WEB-INF
    Dont know if this is the reason why ur problem is coming though,

  • Trapping jsp compilation errors

              I'd like to trap jsp compilation errors and have an error page displayed instead,
              but I am currently having difficulty doing this using 6.1 sp1. I've tried a number
              of things in the web.xml file:
              1) using the error-page directive to trap error code 500
              2) using the error-page directive to trap weblogic.servlet.jsp.JspException
              3) using the error-page directive to trap java.lang.RuntimeException
              4) using the error-page directive to trap java.lang.Exception
              In all cases, an error code of 500 is returned to the client instead of my error
              page being called.
              Any suggestions or insights?
              Thanks...
              Steve...

              Unfortunately, this isn't an option for us because the pages are created on demand,
              so our only chance to capture compilation errors is during the fulfillment of
              the client's request. We do not anticipate any compilation errors, but then again,
              you can't anticipate everything.
