REVERSE ENGINEERING SOAP XML TO SVO

Hi
We are using Oracle Integration Repository for webservices development . We have following soap xml . That soap xml needs to be processed by a webservice . For that I believe we have to generate the SVOs and AM looking at the SOAP xml . But my only problem is that I think the Integration repository expects the first element of the soap body as ServiceName_APIname . But I cannot change the soap xml structure because its a standard one . Please help me to design the svos for this which can processed by IR.

Hi Vijay,
Adding some more points,
The Sunopsis JDBC driver for XML is installed with Sunopsis, and requires a license to run. This license key file, jdbcxkey.xml , must be copied into your Sunopsis installation folder's /drivers sub-directory.
After installing this file, you must restart Sunopsis for the license file to be taken into account.
Do you have jdbcxkey.xml file in your installation folder? I hope its not and thats the reason for your exception.
Please check the same.
Thanks,
Guru

Hi,
Try specifying the "re" (Root Element) parameter in the URL. For example re=indicadoresResponse
If it still fails could you post the full java error stack?
Good luck!

• Error in Reverse Engineering an XML file

I am tring to set up ODI to read and XML file and post it to a DB.
I am using Oracle Data Integrator 10.1.3.5
I have set up the Connection in the Topology Manager and when I ran the Test it returned OK.
I went to the Model tab in the Designer and tried to Reverse engineer the file. I followed the instruction int he User's Guide but I get an error:
The Technology or the Driver used doesn not support Reverse Engineering. The User's guide says you can do it, but Designer tells me I can't.
Has anyone received this error before and how can i get around it.
I am using:
com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver
as the JDBC Driver. THat is the one used in the guide and example.
JDBC URL:
jdbc:snps:xml?f=c:\OraHome_1\Oracledi\MercuryGate\MGTransImpTemplatev1.0.1.xml&re=MercuryGate&ro=true&case_sens=true&s=MercGate

• Reverse engineering to produce .DDL script

Hi,
Does anybody know the best way to reverse engineer all the tables in a 9i account in order to replicate the .DDL script which would have been used to create the table definitions in the first place.
Also, does anybody know of the best way to similarly produce and ER diagram by reverse engineering either the database account, or the .DDL script which I will gain by acheiving the above.
Thanks in advance
Mark

This can help you a lot:
DBMS_METADATA
With DBMS_METADATA you can retrieve complete database object definitions (metadata) from the dictionary by specifying:
The type of object, for example, tables, indexes, or procedures
Optional selection criteria, such as owner or name
Parse items (attributes of the returned objects that are to be parsed and returned separately).
Optional transformations on the output. By default the output is represented in XML, but callers can specify transformations (into SQL DDL, for example), which are implemented by XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation) stylesheets stored in the database or externally.
DBMS_METADATA provides the following retrieval interfaces:
For programmatic use: OPEN, SET_FILTER, SET_COUNT, GET_QUERY, SET_PARSE_ITEM, ADD_TRANSFORM, SET_TRANSFORM_PARAM, FETCH_xxx and CLOSE retrieve multiple objects.
For use in SQL queries and for browsing: GET_XML and GET_DDL return metadata for a single named object. The GET_DEPENDENT_XML, GET_DEPENDENT_DDL, GET_GRANTED_XML, and GET_GRANTED_DDL interfaces return metadata for one or more dependent or granted objects.
This chapter discusses the following topics:

• OWSM 10.1.3.4 and Non-SOAP XML-based web service

Hi all,
According to the OWSM 10.1.3.4 Administrator's Guide, "all Web services registered with an Oracle WSM Gateway are virtualized as both a SOAP and non-SOAP Web service." To access the non-SOAP (XML-only) web service, the documentation states "The non-SOAP virtualized URL can be determined from the virtualized SOAP URL by replacing the services keyword in the URL with the xml keyword."
For example, if the SOAP virtualized endpoint is:
http://host:port/gateway/services/SID0003001
then, the non-SOAP XML service endpoint is:
http://host:port/gateway/xml/SID0003001
I have several web services registered with an OWSM gateway, running on SOA Suite 10.1.3.4, and can access those without any problem. However, when I attempt to access the "/gateway/xml" version of these services, I simply get an HTTP 200 response header with a null body.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this or what the secret is to get the non-SOAP XML service feature of OWSM to work?
Thanks!

• How can I post data (via soap/xml) to a web services?

Please help. I am new to this concept.
The web service runs at (not an actual website name) -- https://something.someone.sometms.com/cgibin/somthing.exe?Script=/someapp/some_interfaces/webservice/ws_main.wml
The soap/xml output expected will lok similar to:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<soap:Body>
<d1:HereIsSomeData xmlns:d1="http://www.vendorname.com/namespace">

</HereIsDataStruct>
</InputStruct></d1:HereIsSomeData>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
The data is in regular table with 4 columns (not an xml schema- table).

And what does soap/xml have to do with Oracle?
You should post this thread in the appropiate soap/xml forum to get some adequate help.

Running PB 12.1 Build 7000. Using Easysoap. Error ""Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service". This error does not appear to be coming from the application code. Noticed that there were some erroneous characters showing up within the header portion of the XML ("&Quot;"). Not sure where these are coming from. When I do a find within the PB code for """" it gets located within two objects, whereas they both reference a "temp_xml_letter". Not sure where or what temp_xml_letter resides??? The developer of this is no longer with us and my exposure to WSDL and Web Services is rather limited. Need to get this resolved...please.

If the document is read by an XML parser that does not or cannot read external entities, then only the five built-in XML character entities (see above) can safely be used, although other entities may be used if they are declared in the internal DTD subset.
If the document is read by an XML parser that does read external entities, then the five built-in XML character entities can safely be used. The other 248 HTML character entities can be used as long as the XHTML DTD is accessible to the parser at the time the document is read. Other entities may also be used if they are declared in the internal DTD subset.

Hi,
Under the readme eRPI : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/readme/erpi_1112200_readme.html
I find this :
ODI Setup Steps to Integrate with Financial Management
To setup the ODI to integrate with Financial Management:
Rename odiparams.bat located at <ODI_HOME>\oracledi\agent\bin to odiparams.bat.backup.
The default installation location is C:\app\Oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1.
Download Oracle Data Integrator Companion CD 11.1.1.6.2.
Unzip the contents of the Companion CD to the temp directory.
Unzip oracledi-agent-standalone.zip.
Copy the contents to: <ODI_HOME>.
Make a backup of the HFMDriver.DLL.
For the 32 bit operating system, copy HFMDriver32_11.1.2.2.dll as HFMDriver.DLL.
For the 64bit operating system, copy HFMDriver64_11.1.2.2.dll as HFMDriver.DLL.
Rename odiparams.bat.backup from Step 1 to odiparams.
Edit the PATH to include: <ODI_HOME>\oracledi.sdk\lib
Restart the ODI Agent.
I try this procedure, but now, I have a new error :
- Unable to connect on "myhfmserver" with "admin" user
I think that, there is another step to do, because now HFM 11.1.2.2 use directly the "EPM Registry" (into Shared Services Schema) to retreive the HFM servers ou Clusters.
But I don't find any information, how to setup this part into ODI.
Or may be, we need to setup "Regedit Keys" into Windows registry like previous HFM release ?
If you have any news, please inform me

• WCF returning "The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8)"

I have a WCF service I am trying to run on a new installation of 64-bit Windows Server 2008 IIS. Although it runs fine on Windows 2003 IIS, it is throwing the error in the thread title, which appears to be a server config issue, but I am not sure. Googling and searching the MSDN forums did not turn up a solution. I tried running WCF Logging, but that didn't help either.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this probelm?
Here is the error:

{"The content type text/html; charset=UTF-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported method is implemented properly. The first

I have the same service hosted on my local machine and when I point to the local service I can execute the operation with no issues. The message encoding is Soap11. I tried changing to Soap12 but I get exact same error. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
I do have windows Activation Features installed and I am using .Net Framework 4.

• Unable to generate Logical Model Diagrams through Reverse Engineering

Hi,
I am currently using SQL Developer Data Modeler Version-3.0.04.
I have generated Logical Model Diagrams from Relational Model Diagrams through Reverse Engineering (Done by pressing an" engineer to Logical Model button" on top panel of sql developer) .I saved the DMD file (source file) once i had done generating the logical diagrams.Now if i reopen the DMD and open the logical diagram again I found that most of the tables had lost their relationships.So i tried to regenerate the Logical Model Diagram again from the same Relational Diagram but it is not being generated unless i create a new Relational Diagram.Is there a way to generate multiple Logical Diagrams for the same Relational Diagram rather than creating a new one for each Logical Diagram to be created.
Regards .
Thanks in advance.

Any comments on this issue?. Please let us know.

• Problem extracting SOAP XML payload using pl/sql

Hi,
I was wondering if I could get some help on extracting the address matches that are returned from the Web Service I am consuming. This is the first time I have dealt with XML and web services. I'm using Oracle 10.2.0.1.
The response I’m getting back returns 4 address matches (shown below against n2, n4, n6 and n8) which is:

My cursor that gets any errors returned appears ok. This is:
CURSOR c_xml_err(i_xml IN XMLType, i_xmlns IN VARCHAR2) IS
SELECT extract(value(xmlseq), '/Errors' , i_xmlns) vi_errors
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Warnings' , i_xmlns) vi_warnings
FROM TABLE(xmlSequence(extract(i_xml, '/GetAddressSearchResponse/ns1:ResponseHeader' , i_xmlns))) xmlseq;
i_xml that is passed in is an XMLType converted from a CLOB which is the response from the web service:
v_xml_response := XMLType(i_response);
i_response is the SOAP package above with the following done on it:
-- Strip the unnecessary SOAP XML envelope from the response
v_xml_resp := XMLType.createXml(o_response);
i_response := v_xml_resp.extract('/soap:Envelope/soap:Body/child::node()'
,'xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"').getClobVal();
i_response is defined with a type of CLOB.
i_xmlns that is passed in is: 'xmlns:ns1="' || i_xml_namespace || '"' where i_xml_namespace is: http://aplt.nzpost.co.nz/schemas/search
My cursor that tries to get the address details returned is:
CURSOR c_xml(i_xml IN XMLType, i_xmlns IN VARCHAR2) IS
SELECT extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostBox.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getNumberVal() box#
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Thoroughfare.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_number
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Thoroughfare.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_name
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Locality.DependentLocality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() suburb
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Locality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() town_city
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostalCode.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() post_code
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostOffice.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() box_lobby_name
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostRoute.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() rd_number
FROM TABLE(xmlSequence(extract(i_xml, '/GetAddressSearchResponse/SearchResults' , i_xmlns))) xmlseq;
This is not correct because it doesn’t select anything. The i_xml parameter passed in is the same as above however the i_xmlns parameter that is passed into this cursor is different. It’s currently passed in as:
'xmlns:ns2="urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0"'
Which matches what is returned in the soap message (first the first address match returned):
<ResultRecord Type="URBAN">
<ns2:AddressDetails
xmlns:ns2="urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0">
I'm calling this cursor in loop as follows:
for r_cu in c_xml(v_xml_response, v_xml_namespace)
loop
dbms_output.put_line('***** test12 - ws_avs_clients - IN LOOP - delete/insert nzp23_address');
Nothing gets returned.
Firstly, I’m not sure how to cater for n2, n3, n4, n5, etc which are the namespaces returned and incremented for each address match.
I’m also wondering if my cursor should be changed to something like:
CURSOR c_xml(i_xml IN XMLType, i_xmlns IN VARCHAR2) IS
SELECT extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostBox.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getNumberVal() box#
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Thoroughfare.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_number
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Thoroughfare.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_name
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Locality.DependentLocality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() suburb
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Locality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() town_city
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostalCode.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() post_code
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostOffice.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() box_lobby_name
,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostRoute.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() rd_number
FROM TABLE(xmlSequence(extract(i_xml, '/GetAddressSearchResponse/SearchResults/ResultRecord/ns2:AddressDetails' , i_xmlns))) xmlseq;
However I couldn’t have the ns2: before “AddressDetails” because this gets incremented. I don’t think I can also have the i_xmlns namespace parameter passed in as 'xmlns:ns2="urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0"'
because the ns2 gets incremented for each address.
I'm looking for any examples of pl/sql code that extracts the addresses from the SOAP message returned like I’m trying to do?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Brad

You can find some examples in both the {forum:id=34} and {forum:id=75} forums. Just search on soap:Envelope or soap:Body and you should get some hits back.
Since you are using 10.2, you will want to use XMLTable instead of TABLE(xmlSequence(extract as XMLTable is the direction Oracle is going. As for ns2:, ns4: it doesn't matter what namespace prefix you use in your XPath statement as long as all the prefixes resolve to the same namespace.
Here is a starter piece of code that puts all that together for you.
SELECT town_city, peeking
FROM XMLTABLE(XMLNamespaces(default 'http://aplt.nzpost.co.nz/schemas/search',
'urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0' as "adns"),

• Reverse-engineering excel files in ODI

Hi,
I am currently creating an ODBC Data Source to connect to MS Excel and then reverse-engineering the excel file.Do I need to create separate ODBC Data Source for each excel file or is there any other way to achieve this?
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance.

hi Dev
1. Have you defined the correct link between DSN and your Excel File the answer is yes
2. Have you test the Connection in Topology ?yes and it's OK
3. Also is your Excel file has an Extension of XLS ? yes
4. When reversing have you check the required Technology - Microsoft Excel with required Logical Schema and context Yes i have Microsoft Excel with required Logical Schema and context
and also try checking the Tables and System Tables for reversing .I' can't

• Unsupported Content-Type: application/soap+xml

I've created a simple composite application with a bpel jbi module using glassfishesbv21.
The bpel process starts when I invoke a webservice (soap-binding).
When I run a test case for the ca everything works fine.
When I call the webservice from an external web application, the client (created with netbeans wizard bundled in glassfishesbv21) obtains the response as expected and doesn't report any exception while the server rises a com.sun.xml.ws.server.UnsupportedMediaException.
Googoling I found that this maybe caused by the use of soap1.1 and soap1.2 but is also true that JAX-WS runtime should look into the WSDL to determine the binding being used and configures itself accordingly.
the stacktrace is:

Can anyone help me to understand the problem and solve it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Content-Type: application/xml
...check for the content type of the message that is sent ot the WS.....with the above mentioned content-type going to the WS currently...WS is not able to parse the req and hence the error....in other words wrong format being being passed.

• To download SOAP/XML file at runtime....

Hi,
My porgram is consuming a web service, provided by an external party, by calling the method of the corresponding proxy class. The problem is I want to capture the SOAP/XML file that is generated at runtime when the proxy method is called.
Could you please suggest me a way by which I can download the XML file. Is it possible?
Regards,
Vara

Hi Vara,
One solution is to activate logging and tracing and to see the payload in the log viewer. Consider that this could lower the performance of the system.
Another solution could be to use some kind of [packet analyzer|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Packet_sniff] ...
Hope this helps,

• Reverse engineering in Java Studio Enterprise 8.1

I tried to do the reverse engineering in Java Studio Enterprise 8.1.
The Reverse Engineering process launches which I can tell from the output log,
but I didn't see any diagram generated. What could be the problem?
Thanks!

to see if the relationships are in the model, try to expand the class and interface nodes and they should have something like the following. If these are absent, there might be something in the reverse engineering process that lost the relationships.
- package1
- class1
- Relationships
- Implementation
+ interface1
- package2
- interface1
- Relationships
- Implementation
+ class1
As for sequence diagram, not sure how you created it. If you just cdfs the classes, you should not see any message except for the lifelines that represent the classes. If you select an operation of a class to do cdfs or reverse engineer operation, the sequence diagram will be generated.
