RFC Adapter error - http port configuration

Hi everyone,
on XI 3.0 I have some problems to invoke RFC functions located on a SAP SRM system.
No logs are displayed on the XI Monitor: the message is stopped at the "adapter" level.
It seems that RFC adapter tries to connect to a wrong URL (the Production system URL)and obviously it retrieves these messages:
"Received XI System Error. ErrorCode: NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE ErrorText: ErrorStack: No receiver could be determined "
"Returning synchronous error notification to calling application: XIServer:NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE:."
"Transmitting the message using connection http://YYY.sap.xxxx:8066/sap/xi/engine?type=entry failed, due to: XIServer:NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE:."
In the SLD, the right port for Development system is 8064, the adapter is also  configured on business landscape YYY and port 8064. I checked both J2EE visual administrator and Business Landscape customizing without success.
But at runtime the adapter framework point to another system on 8066 http port (and the interface call fails).
My question is: where is this wrong URL configured and from where exactly does it take these wrong informations?
Please, help me.
Alessandro Pozzozengaro.

Alessandro,
There is a very good document on SAP that explains, step-by-step what you are trying to do.
The name of the document is: 'Validating a Connection Between SAP R/3 and SAP XI with RFC'.
Give a look on that. I used it to build the scenario here and it works fine.

Tadeu

  • XI - Call Adapter Error - HTTP client. Code 402 reason ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT

I am using HTTP adapter to post XML PO to vendor's site. We are having this problem with one of our vendor when PO's has more than 15 line items. XI server is getting error-"Call Adapter Error - HTTP client. Code 402 reason ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT". Actually PO is posted good for the first time on vendor's site but XI is getting above error message and it keeps posting it again. Is there anyway to stop it otherthan manually stopping the XI message? Is there anyway to increase the wait time of the XI server to get the message.
    Thanks in advance.

I'm getting the same issue "500 TIMEOUT error" in runtime work bench-->IE--->Test Message. When i manually trigger the file.
The issue is basically from 01-01-2015 02:00 pm to 02-01-2015 01:am , File is picked from source ftp folder and places in archive but xml messages are not reflecting in SXMB_MONI.
Today suddenly after 01:00 am messages are successfully processing.
Please help on this issue. Many Thanks.

  • RFC synchronous error HTTP

We have a strange problem. We try a simple scenario file-->RFC (Bapi) (synchronous). But it won't work, in asynchronous way it is no problem, that works great.
The strangest thing is that we don't get the 2 messages on the monitor (in asynchronous way we get the 1 message).
Once we did get the message, here it is:

At first we thought the error was the http_timeout, so we raised the number but the problem was the same. The RFC adapter works fine, so that isn't the problem.

    Hi Bart,
Did you put a business process between the File (async) and the RFC (sync)? Because you can't connect async and sync interface without a BPM.

  • Sender RFC adapter Error- request was null while trying to extract it.

    Hi All,
I  have a scenario running in Production(PI 7.0 system) where SAP ECC sends RFC request through sender RFC adapter. The scenario was working fine but now I am getting the below error in default trace and I couldn't see any error in communication channel monitoring.
java.lang.Exception: RfcServer[BAS_ECC_RFC_Snd]1[AFSenderD] request was <null> while trying to extract it.
I have gone through the below thread and performed a full cache refresh but it didn't help :
    [NULL]
I have gone through SAP note:730870 and I couldn't get any help on this error. Can you please suggest your ideas to solve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Laawanya

    Hi Lawanya,
Check you RFC and input data , whether the RFC call is able to get the data from ECC or not.
you can test the same RFC in ECC with input data and you can check whether the RFC in ECC is return the value or not.
I gues in your case the RFC in ECC is not return any data  to PI.

First check the data in R/3 itself and test whether you can send data inside.
Check with your RFC FM it is remote enabled or not and your schema for imported RFC is fine or not. Else it will not invoke the RFC FM at R/3

  • Adapter Errors

I am trying to trap the adapter errors using Alert configuration. When file content conversion fails, an alert message is raised correctly..
But the link goes to MDT instead of going to adapter monitor? MDT is usually empty in such scenario. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

In the ARLTCATDEF transaction, where the alert category is defined, one can add urls for optional subsequent activites....
If you want a link to the Adapter Monitoring page...add the url to that in this tab....the url for Adapter monitoring is http://<was_server>:5XX00/mdt/amtServlet

    Regards,

    HI Anulraja,
Your Adapter Engine searches the pipeline url of the integration engine from the SLD.
Check the Bussiness System in Sld , which you'll have defined for XI Server.
It should have ROLE : Integration Server And
    pipeline url: http://ux0800:55300/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
should be this if your http port is 55300.
Check if this url is right in SLD-Bussiness System.
You can check the exact http port in transaction sxmb_adm.
Go to Integration engine configuration and then click on check icon(F7).
It should match with that provided in the BS in SLD.
By default it should be 8000.
Check all these things and then try.
    Regards,
    Yomesh
