RFC Error for TMSADM After Executing RSRFCCHK

Hi,
I'm using ECC6 and running RSRFCCHK to check our RFC destinations. Everything is working fine except that I'm getting an RFC no authority error for function group SYST for TMSADM. I've reset the buffer by using RSET and even executed report RSUSR405 but the error still occurs on both times. I did try giving it access to function group SYST and it work perfectly. However, I don't know why it's causing the error in the first place and this is what I would like to figure out first. I'm hesitant to give it the access without knowing the reason why.
Has anyone encountered this error before? Can anyone help on how to solve this problem?
Thanks,
JB

It is not necessarily an error for an RFC call to fail... To ensure that the TMSADM has the correct authority you should not need to reset the buffers. Logon to client 000 of your transport domain controller (should ideally be production...) and reset the user TMSADM in transaction STMS via the "Extras" menu. That should be sufficient.
RSRFCCHK is using a function module from the group SYST to obtain information about the connections. But those connections do not have to include FM's from SYST to perform that which they are designed to do and if I remember correctly then for the TMSADM it does not.
Specifically in this case, the TMSADM user performs some logistical tasks in the STMS but requests of the human person operating the STMS that they should logon themselves when performing tasks which are considered "critical" - or at least sufficiently critical that the TMSADM should not be able to complete it on it's own. An example would be to Import a transport request.
As the TMSADM is not sufficiently authorized to perform these functions, the system calls for the dialog user to "remote login" to the system when the TMS attempts to do the task. This is a function module in SYST called something like RFC_REMOTE_LOGIN or similar.
Cheers,
Julius

  • RFC error for Transaction Launcher to launch a CRM ABAP report  on WEB UI

    Hi all,
    My Task is to assign a custom CRM report on the web ui.
    I have created a transaction for this and using the transaction launcher wizard to assign it as a link on web ui .
    In the transaction launcher wizard ,  In the 'Define Further Technical Details' i have entered the
    Transaction Type as 'BOR Transaction'
    Logical system : my current system crm client which is QCCCLNT703
    BOR OBJECT TYPE : tstc_uif (also tried with TSTC )
    Method Name : EXECUTE
    When i try to click on the report on WEB UI, it gives me a status message saying the ''RFC Destination is not set up for QCCCLNT703'.
    Can you please advice me on how to do this . I guess the issue is with the Logical system set up .

    Hello,
    I think you have rightly pointed out the reason of the error. You must have maintained the logical system 'QCCCLNT703' using transaction CRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS. However you also need to maintain the same entry in transaction SM59 with name RFC destination name as 'QCCCLNT703'.
    I hope this would fix the issue.
    Thankx,

  • MW generation error for SRV_WRITE after Upgrade to CRM 7.0

    Iu2019m finishing up with the post-processing steps for the CRM 7.0 upgrade of our development system (from CRM 2007) and ran into an issue when re-generated the Middleware services before activating the MW.
    Per the upgrade guide, I ran GN_START to start the generation, but the results in GENSTATUS show the below 8 errors.  These errors are preventing me from activating MW, regardless of whether weu2019re actually using these services or not.  I ran into this same issue in our Sandbox for the SRV_WRITE object and managed to resolve it there by generating some specific objects using the Generation Workbench (GNRWB), however the same approach has not worked for our Dev system.  We have NOT implemented the Mobile CRM scenario, but are replicating BPs and Material with R/3, and have begun configuring the Server-based Groupware Integration which uses the Middleware framework and CDB.
    /1CRMGC/SRV_WRITE_DEL:The data object "<FS_AFTERCDB0003>" does not have a component called "UPDATE_FLAG".
    Could not determine module name: SRV_WRITE GENKEY: EXTRACT
    Could not determine module name: SRV_WRITE GENKEY: REALIGN_GET_DEP_INT_OBJ<IND>
    From what I can tell, SRV_WRITE is used somehow with Service Order replication?
    Any suggestions for next steps to resolve these errors? Thanks for any input anyone can offer.

    Thank you for the post.  After comparison of Dev system with Sandbox, I think I am missing FM /1CRMGC/HTSRV_WRITE_RRX in Dev.  However, when I try to generate in GNRWB using the below parameters, I am getting the errors below.  How to proceed?  Once again, thank you for your help!
    GNRWB Generation:
    Gen Group = RRLEX: Replication Extract
    Industry = High tech
    Rep Object = SRV_WRITE
    Generator = EXTRACTWR
    Generation Log:

  • New error for me after less than a day of trying solution for 1418 error

    Now I get the error of -69. That a corrupted file apparently is mucking up the works. I tried what the solution offered, I can't catch the file name because it doesn't show any file names while syncing.
    I've cleared the entire library, cleaned up my folders and got rid of anything that isn't iPod format friendly.
    I've made an appointment at the Genius bar tomorrow, but this is just aggravating to have a piece of hardware bricked by Apples own software. Has anyone found a solution to the "File not found" or "Error 1417, 1718, 1428" issue so many people seem to be posting on?

    Please call Apple at 1-800-275-2273. They were very nice to me on the phone and ask them to look into this. The more reports they receive, the better chance we have that Apple will stand behind the iPod and help us out.

    Hi,
    Execute your RFC in bakground mode. Create dummy report and polpulate your parameter of RFC in this report and execute RFC in background with following syntax.
    CALL FUNCTION <yourfunction>
    IN BACKGROUND TASK

    Hi! Rams,
    I think the issue is related to Authentification Issue..Even though u did correctly please check once the below
    1) Check any Typo Erros are there while configuring or giving names in Lookups.
    2) please check Authorizations like ID and PWD and Sufficient Roles
    3) Also please check did u given paramters correctly while doing RFC look up I mean paramers , Binding parameters and RFC channel name and adapter type or Simple type it must be an  adapter
    4) In ID part while configuring Interface determinaition you need to give your RFC look Up name there also..Hence check whether u given or not if yes correctly or not
    5) Also remember one thing if your scenario is correct mostly you can know the result in mapping itself it seems while testing Message mapping and Interface mappings give your RFC look up paramters in the parameters tab present in TEST tab and later in Document tab give Input...and execute it works if it doesn;t works and if there is an issue with RFC you can get there only..ok
    Also go through the below document::
    [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20befc9a-aa72-2b10-ae9b-b0988791d457]
    I hope this will give u brief idea...
    Also check with basis while taking SAP_ALL authorization so that first u ill came to know whether issue is related to authentification or RFC module itself remote enabled and also do SXI_CACHE also ocne to refresh ESR and ID objects..

  • User |TMSADM has no RFC authorization for function group SYST

    Hi All,
    When we release any transports we are getting the above error, this is basically due to the fact that implificaiton of complex password parameters, to supress this we had followed the note 761637.
    I had regenerated RFCs and reset TMS user, but still no use any ideas?
    This is definely not the issue with Authorization as user TMSADM has right profiles.

    Then the reset is not working (which would be consistent with the note). You can administrate the connections (SM59) and user (SU01) manually now. Try to change the user type in SU01.
    >
    > I did not get the user to test the release , but I am checking in the RFC connection for this RFS desitnatation and it failes with same error.
    You stated before that releasing the transport was failing, not the authorization test in SM59.
    Note that default system settings for the "Connection Test" only verifies that there are no network gremlins between the servers and the RFC settings, it does not verify that the logon was successfull. The "Authorization Test" on the other hand verifies the authentication was successfull and the authorization to perform the RFC call was checked and successfull.
    Most likely, the problem is caused either by the user type AND / OR the password is in fact not correct (or is arriving incorrectly - See SAP Note 1023437).
    Some other suggestions:
    - Check ST22 to see whether more details are available on the error (check source and target destination).
    - Check whether the user doing the release is missing an authorization to use the TMS.
    - Check the value of your system profile parameters auth/rfc_authority_check and rfc/reject_expired_password?
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Error message: RFC system error for destination GTADIR_SERVER (SGSUB104)

    Hello people,
    I'm using Sneak Preview SP12 and getting frequently this error, for example when loading some Web Dynpros already in the system, or creating Z tables.
    If anyone knows how to solve or the cause please help.
    Procedure for solution in message's long text is in german so I don't understand it.
    Many thanks

    I just patched my system to SP12 as well and suddenly received the same message. After searching this forum I only found you having the same problem. While I understand German, the message is meaningless (tells you to try later again and if problem persists, then ask your system admin). In order to get around this message (after all this missing RFC connection is not critical since after confirming it you can proceed without any problems), I simply created an RFC connection of the name GTADIR_SERVER pointing to my very own NSP system.
    Call transaction SM59
    Select ABAP connections and hit the create button
    Enter GTADIR_SERVER as the RFC connection
    Put your system name and system number (like your settings in SAP GUI) in Target Host and System Number fields
    On tab Logon&Security provide client/user id/password
    Usually I prefer to understand why I need to do what I do. I do not know why we need (i.e. why SAP) call(s) this destination, but my gut feeling tells me it is uncritical the way  I got around it. If anyone in this forum can shed some more light on the WHY, this would be great ...

  • Error message after executing KKRC- How to define Hierarchy ID ?

    Hi Gurus
    Ours’ is a Chemical Mfg./ Marketing Company. We have ECC 5.0 version implemented in our Company. We  have the Production process orders of different types ( Normal Process order , Reprocess Process order etc.). For the purpose of MIS it is our regular practice to download data in Worksheets & then work upon it ( pivot tables etc.)  &  compile the reports. We have the requirement to have SKU wise ( Finished Goodswise ) summarised compilation of  different type of Variances ( both Qty. , value of input materials, wherever applicable) .
    While browsing the SAP’s BPX community database I have come across the query similar to my requirement . refer thread Product costing - Information system, order summarization
    Posted: Sep 30, 2007 3:21 AM
    As suggested in the response to that query  I have followed the steps .
    KKRV followed by KKRC . The error message after executing  KKRC reads
    “ No IDs defined for Hierarchy type CO
    Diagnosis No Hierarchy id is defined in customising for the hierarchy type you selected
    Procedure : go in to the customising and define the structure of hierarchy  by means of an appropriate Hierarchy ID. “
    Can some one give me further leads ( i.e. navigation/path and clues for  defining   Hierarchy ID)
    Or
    is there any other way to address the requirement mentioned in opening para.
    With best regards
    Sudheer

    Hi Patrick,
    unfortunately I cannot provide an ad-hoc solution for your nested exception without further investigations.
    Nevertheless I'm very interested to know, why you "gave up" using the Adaptive WS Model in Web Dynpro. What's the problem?
    Perhaps the coding which now requires to create a model instance:
    /** Hook method called to initialize controller. */
    //@@end
    public void wdDoInit() {
      //@@begin wdDoInit()
      // create a new model instance (1)
      EmailAdWSModel model = new EmailAdWSModel();
      // create model objects (2, 3)
      Request_SendEmail requestMO = new Request_SendEmail(model);
      SendEmail emailMO = new SendEmail(model);
      // associate model objects (4)
      requestMO.setSendEmail(emailMO);
      // bind executable model object to context node (5)
      wdContext.nodeRequest_SendEmail().bind(requestMO);
      //@@end

    I understand that I need to configured the Metadata Dictionary type for the RFC. For this, I need to configure the Message Server properties (for load balancing).
    But my Basis guy told me that CRM is an application server, so we only can configured with application server properties. Is this true? (I really doubt it) That is no Message Server connection to CRM system now.
    If it is true, how can I create a RFC connection to CRM system?
    Thanks for help.

  • Sc not transfered to backend rfc error after bapi_po_create1 ?

    I have one user who's shoppingcarts are not transferred to the backend. when I try to transfer it manually with BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER I get an rfc error after the bapi_po_create1
    for the rest the whole system is functioning as it should but only for this user the shoppingcarts are not transfered. I also don't get any errors back from the bapi.
    anybody got a clue what can be wrong with this particular user ?
    I checked everything in ppoma but can't find any flaws or errors.
    kind regards

    I am a bit closer to the answer I guess. no there were no erros given with  BAPI_PO_CREATE1
    fuzzy part however with the sc was that there was only an acc_no of 002. since the last hrsps on the backend the   BAPI_PO_CREATE1 gave errors back that it didn't accept 002 without a 001
    so I checked in a badi if there were acc_no with 02 and 100% costassignment and transfered these back to 01
    with the badi BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW. that was working very nice until one user could not transfer any shoppingcart anymore. I saw that she had a workprocedure that caused the 02 acc_no (she used copy paste) when I let her do it without copy paste and just change it then the shoppingcart created a PO.
    but I'm puzzled what I'm missing here and why it most of the times work but sometimes it just doesn't give any errors back and no purchasenr but just an exception others.
    can I debug this further on in the backend somehow what causes the exception ?
    kind regards

  • Installed new HD on Mid-2009 MBP, installed Mavericks, now getting "error code -50" after being on for a while.

    So I had the stock 320gb drive that came with my machine. It started crashing, so I pre-empted the loss of data and installed a spare Western Digital 500gb Scorpio Blue drive, installed Mavericks, and restored my data. Almost immediately I began having sporadic issues with the machine being unable to write to the disk, giving me "error code -50" after being on for about a day or so. I usually just restart and it will work for another day or so, but this is getting very tedious, and I'm a bit worried it might be straining the machine, since I can only hard restart (holding power button) when this happens. Usually, right after restarting, I repair the disk permissions, and this seems to fix things.
    Is this maybe a bad OS install? Maybe I should back up and try it all again? Or is there a software issue I'm not seeing a solution for anywhere? Most people who are getting the "error code -50" messages seem to be getting them on external drives. Is it just a compatibility issue and I need to seek a new drive?

    Thank you for the tips!

    WD5000BEVT does indeed have it's own protection:

    Even though I read about it I had not touched any SMS settings in OS X since I did not have any problems before. I disabled SMS in Mac, let's see now.

    Reteep,
    you could try the same thing as well.
    In my case I doubt it is the problem because it worked fine before Mavericks, although forcing restart may have done something. I hope disabling SMS helped.

  • JCO.Server Error while trying to execute a RFC program from SAP

    Hi,
    We are connecting to an external registered server program from SAP via Web Methods.
    The external server program is registered with the SAP Gateway. We have created a TCP/IP RFC destination and are able to connect to the destination successfully via SM59.
    An RFC function is created in SAP and is called using the syntax CALL FUNCTION "/NGN/BAPI_STRE_SEARCH_PROCESS" DESTINATION 'PRDB2B'. We have also handled the COMM_FALIURE and SYSTEM_FALIURE exceptions in the function call.
    We are monitoring the gateway via SMGW and see a connection log to the RFC destination as below
    Number - 10
    LUname - dev01
    TPName - sapgw00
    User - KRAORANE
    Status - CONNECTED
    Symbolic - PRDB2B
    Conversation - 86520353
    Prot - REG
    SAP return code - 0
    CPIC rtn code - 0
    The external program returns results as expected.
    However sometimes the RFC fails and returns the message “JCO.Server could not create server function /NGN/BAPI_STRE_SEARCH_PROCESS”.
    We are not able to figure what exactly is causing this error. Any help will be highly appreciated.

  • RFC system error for destination GTADIR_SERVER

    I just installed trial version 7.0 ABAP SP12. I started the learning path displayed in SE80, create a table and some class for working with it.
    When trying to create a data-element I get the error "RFC system error for destination GTADIR_SERVER". Any hints about what this server is and how to set it up?

    This message is not supposed to appear for customers, but it doesn't cause any harm either.  You can click through and ignore it.
    The message is removed for customers in SP13.  Check OSS Note 1063482.
