RFC export variable with different output length.

I have an RFC returning language from R/3 with Datatype SY-LANGU. When I run RFC from R/3, I see language being returned in two chars. But I get only one char when I run the same from Web Dynpro.
When I look at Web Dynpro model dictionary, It is imported with fixed length '1" and external length as "2".
From ABAP Dictionary it is of one char, But output length is two chars with some conversion routine.
Is it possible to get language output in web Dynpro with two chars with out changing the signature of the RFC?

I'm creating a dictionary with 4 rulesets, one xsd for the definition of the schema for the variables. Each ruleset uses different input variable and different output variable. So when I test it I have to fille all the input variables in order to make it work!

I am facing the same problem. Word had an easy way to have two sections on one page. I can't see that it is a problem. However, my problem was I wanted two sections on the same page. It appears that Pages handles this differently. It is called a layout break. Same drop down menu. I wanted to change from one to two columns and back on the same page. Hope this helps in your situation.

Import and Export variables with same name

The nco3 throws and exception when a function has Import and Export variables with the same name.
An example is BAPI_BATCH_CREATE.
At the moment my solution is create a ZBAPI_BATCH_CREATE that wraps the original BAPI but has diferent names for import and export variables (IBATCH and OBATCH for BATCH variable).
Anyone has another more clean solution?

Currently the condition of between two system as follows
Source Server : SAP ECC6.0, Component SAP_APPL, release 602 level 16
Target Server : SAP ECC6.0, Component SAP_APPL, release 600 level 24.
This problem happens due we was unable to downgrade the release and patch the latest support pack of SAP_APPL reelease 600.

Having Multiple Adobe PDF printers with different output settings

Hello,
My company is using Adobe Acrobat X and XI on Win 7 Pro, and we would like to create 2 separate Adobe PDF printers that have 2 different output settings. So I installed a second Adobe PDF printer using the same Adobe Converter Driver as was used to install the first one. Then, I went into Devices and Printers and I edited the printing preferences of one Adobe PDF printer, but what I found was when I changed the preferences of one printer, it automatically changes the other one as well. Is there a way around this?

Thanks for pointing me to the iTunes Folder Watch program. It looks like this will solve my immediate needs. It's a little clunky in spots, but does handle adding new files very well. And it only cost about $10 to get the fully functioning version with the automatic monitoring in the background.
I copied the iTunes library files to each account, setup a watch folder that points to the location of the iTunes library content and all the music syncs up perfectly without duplicates. I have yet to test the applications, but music, movies, TV Shows, audiobooks, and podcasts all work fine.
If anyone else is considering this product, just make sure you double check your file location in the iTune settings to make sure each account is pointing to the same location and is organizing the content in the same way or else the individual account libraries will fight against each other to organize all the content where it is configured to put it. Copying the library files isn't enough since some of these settings are in the Windows Registry.
I made this mistake at first. I had all the accounts pointing to the same folder, but one of them (the original) had the "Upgrade to iTunes Media Organization" turned on which categorizes all content into folders based on type such as music, movies, podcasts, etc. Since the others were organizing just based on artist and album this caused the accounts to try to reorganize the files when Folder Watcher would tell it there were new files to manage.
All in all, this solves most of my concerns, but I'm still surprised Apple hasen't added this natively into the iTunes product. Especially when this guy figured out how to write the software to do it and is only charging about 10 bucks to do it. Well I hope this guy makes a million bucks off his little product bacause he surely deserves it!

Export Import with different tablespaces

Does anyone know if there is a way to export from one database (creating a dmp file) and then importing into another database with different tablespaces? I have tried this and get this error:
ORA 959. It complained that the tablespace doesnt exist (which it doesnt). Is there a way I can change the export or import parameters to avoid this and just use the default tablespaces?
I may well be missing the point here so please feel free to tell me I am being a fool.

Example. All these tables are from the same schema with the same tablespace specified in the dmp file. There are many more and 90 % fail but not all.

How can I associate unique information/ variables with different instances of attachMovie when creat

I'm creating an interactive animation of an experiment, whereby the user has to detect if there is an oil well lying beneath the surface by selecting and drilling a series of coordination points on a map.
I've done the first stage by setting up a background image containing a grid of 20 x 20 coordinate points, eg columns 1 - 20 and rows A - T. Over the top of this, I've created a dynamic array of clickable objects (open circles) and the centre of each one is placed over a coordinate point, so when you mouseover a coordinate point, eg C3, an open circle becomes visible and when you rollout, it becomes invisible again.
However, I'm stuck on the next stage. I need to be able to assign unique variables to one or more clickable objects (open circles). Is it possible to do that? For example:
a)give grid point coordinates to each object (open circle), so for example if someone rolls over the C3 coordinate, the open circle (object) associated with that coordinate, a message will display: "Click on the grid point to drill at C3"
b)assign a variable to one or more objects, so that when an open circle is clicked, the animation associated with that coordination point will be triggered. There will be different animations, depending upon which object (point is clicked)
There are other variables that will need to be setup, but if I know how to assign variables to one or more objects, I can probably figure out the rest.

Need to export file with different layers selected automatically

I have a file with a background and various text layers.
I want to select each text layer individually and export them to a file, but I don't want to do this manually because it would take a lot of work.
My question is, how would i tell photoshop to export X numbers of files. Where X=number of text boxes.

I still don’t quite follow: Should the resulting files combine one of the text-layers with the lowermost layer or display only one of the layers?
Because I thought Export Layers to Files would do the second.

Transfer records to UNIX with different record length

Hi all,
I have the following problem. I have to transfer records to a UNIX file. The maximum length of a record is 2000. The records are TAB seperated. I also have records which have a length less then 2000. When i look at the file in Excel the last field is always very large. Isn't there a way to only transfer the real length of the record. I have tried to transfer the record in Binary an Text mode. I used the Length statement, but nothing worked for me.

"Transfer" with "length" option should work. I am not sure what you passed as length to the "transfer" command. Did you used a fixed length of 2000 or did you actually found out the record length of each record and passed that value?
Scenario 1.
Here in this scenario, you will always have the last field set to maximum length.
loop at itab.
transfer itab-record to file length 2000.
endloop.
Scenario 2.
In this second scenario, you should have your excel's last field set to the maximum occupied length of that field.
loop at itab.
v_len = strlen( itab-record ).
transfer itab-record to file length v_len.
endloop.

I know the starting and ending position of Telecastor, and Presenter in the input string. I also know the position of the start element of the table(starting of the loop). I also know the length of a single row( allows me to contruct the loop). I reckon regex is probably not the best way since there is no pattern matching. I am looking at some sort of a config driven logic.
Are there any java string function that I can use together with some form of config driven configuration that anyone can suggest?

Well there is the obvious one: the 'substr' method of the String class.

The usual parsing issue is knowing how to determine when one element ends and the next one starts. For this fragment of yours:

Is it possible to reuse the same variable with different sql queries in packages....
Example:
i have a variable say
1)variable name: filename
2)query in variable: select 'emp.txt' from dual
so using this variable name in data store, i am passing file name dynamically, but i need to change the file name emp.txt to dept.txt if emp.txt feed is missing.
One solution from my side is using one dump table having file name. any more without using db tables

How do I get variable selections in output when I send the output to Export

Hi Friends,
I am working in Web Analyzer and I would like to export the values of the variable selection to excel along with the output for future reference to know this data belongs to mentioned variable selections.
Is there any setting in BI to get this requirement?

I agree we can do it in workbooks but our requirement is to make available this feature in web analyzer only.
Do you guys have any other way to work around web?

How to structure the DMA buffer for PXie 6341 DAQ card for analog output with different frequencies on each channel

I'm using the MHDDK for analog out/in with the PXIe 6341 DAQ card.
The examples, e.g. aoex5, show a single Timer (outTimerHelper::loadUI method), but the example shows DMA data loaded with the same vector size.
There is a comment in the outTimerHelper:rogramUpdateCount call which implies that different buffer sizes per channel can be used.
(the comment is: Switching between different buffer sizes will not be used)
Does anyone know what the format of the DMA buffer should be for data for multiple channels with different frequencies ?
For example, say we want a0 with a 1Khz Sine wave and a1 with a 1.5Khz sine wave. What does the DMA buffer look like ?
With the same frequency for each channel, the data is interleaved, e.g. (ao0#0, ao1#0; ao0#1, ao1#1, ...), but when the frequencies for each channel is different, what does the buffer look like ?

The data is always interleaved because each card only has a single timing engine for each subsystem.
For AO you must specify the number of samples that AO will output. You also specify the number of channels. Because there is only one timing engine for AO, each AO will channel will get updated at the same time tick of the update clock. The data will be arranged interleaved exactly as the example shows because each AO channel needs data to output at each tick of the update clock. The data itself can change based on the frequency you want to output.

In your example, you need to come up with an update rate that works for both waveforms (1 KHz and 1.5 KHz sine waves). To get a good representation of a sine wave, you need to update more than 10x as fast as your fastest frequency...I would recommend 100x if possible.
Update Frequency: 150 KHz
Channels: 2
Then you create buffers that include full cycles of each waveform you want to output based on the update frequency. These buffers must also be the same size.
Buffer 1: Contains data for the 1 KHz sine wave, 300 points, 2 sine wave cycles
Buffer 2: Contains data for the 1.5 KHz sine wave, 300 points, 3 sine wave cycles
You then interleave them as before. When the data is run through the ADC, they are outputting different sine waves even though the AO channels are updating at the same rate.

How can I setup an .indd with two columns with different threads so that I can export to epub?

Hi all. Sorry, english is not my native language. I´ve made an .indd: each page has two columns with different threads (is a bilingual text). When I export this .indd to .epub only appears one column from a thread following the next thread. What can i do to fix this? My indesign is CS6

There are fixed format EPUB files as can be used for children's books, etc. where there are a lot of illustrations. However, those are very work-intensive to produce. I've never worked on one.
