RFC gateway trace keeps activating

Hi experts!
We are having a problem in our Live XI environment. The issue is the following:
We have an unique communication user and an unique RFC for all the interfaces that uses an RFC channel. The problem is that the gateway trace is being activated every time an RFC connection is done. This is creating big .trc files as we do over 5000 rfc connections every day with this user.
Our Basis team has disabled the trace but, when a new connection is done, the trace is being activated again.
Could you please help us to find where can be this trace activated? Could it be a parameter in the XI system?
Thanks in advance!!

  • Can I have a decreased / cheaper monthly priced membership for some time, by keeping active only Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC and Acrobat?

Hello, and good evening from Athens, Greece.
I would like to ask a question concerning my CC membership.
I’ve started 1 and a half year ago by paying 29,99 € for the entire CC (all programs). Now, it’s 49,99 € and I’m having a really difficult time to keep it this way. I’m living in a country which is in the middle of crisis and my profession as a graphic designer, is not an exception to reduced spendings on advertising.
My question is, can I have a decreased / cheaper monthly priced membership for some time, by keeping active only Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, InDesign CC and Acrobat? I don’t need for now the other apps. Can I have a membership plan only for those applications? I would very much appreciate your respond, a help and a solution to my issue.
    Thank you very much.
    Michael.
P.S. Forgot to tell, that I have a purchased Design Standard CS3 Suite. If this helps.

  • Why do I have to keep activating hbogo on apple tv?

Why do I have to keep activating hbogo on apple tv?
It's constant.  Maybe three to four times a week.
    ENOUGH already.

haha nevermind HBOgo. Since we know you are able to activate it then we know the verizon username and password is correct and that HBO recognizes it as legit. Why it keeps asking for it might be a glitch with HBOgo app or their server or it might have to do with the apple TV not saving your login info, so HBO keeps asking for it each time you go there. Kind of hard to nail down since it involves an Apple product, HBO, and Fios TV all working together. Not sure who is to blame at this point. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem with Apple TV's. Are you able to access HBO from your verizon set top box?

Hi, was wondering why the volume keeps activating itself.
There's a volume touch sensor on my laptop, although i didnt touch it, the volume screen keeps appearing and disappearing.
It's very annoying when it appears because i cant click on the webpage.
I contacted the outlet salesman at hougang mall, he told me to reformat my laptop as it might be virus.
So i reformatted it, but i'm still experiencing the same problem.
    what should i do now?

No, i never heard that kind of virus.

  • RFC trace with active filter...

    Hi All,
I need to activate RFC trace for a particular RFC connection with a particular user name.
If I activate this trace from st05, what are things that i need to take care before & after activating trace, ex: Space related issues, etc...
Plz share ur experience & thoughts.
    Regards
    Srinivas K

It depends on what all that user is doing and how long you want to keep the trace active.  If it is a single user who will hit the RFC connection one time, then it is probably no big deal to just run it on the fly.  If it is a system user that multiple external programs use heavily throughout the day, you may want to adjust the following parameters accordingly:
    rstr/max_files
    rstr/max_diskspace

    Dear experts,
how to put full fludged trace on enduser activity.
that is i want to do the following activity:-
*i should know the end user activity. (login details and T-codes accessed by users)
*should know the changes made by the users.
*i need to collect all these in the form of logs, so that i can archive it to network.
and wht kind of security is best preffered by audit people.
i request you all to give some valuable inputs on these questions.

    Hi noothangi,
Transactions SM18, SM19, SM20 deals with security Audit Log.
    SM18
To archieve or delete old audit log files
    SM19
you can configure the Static/Dynamic fileters here.
The system administrator or security administrator defines the events you
want to audit in filters. Filters consist of the following information:
    . Client
    . User
    . Auditclass
. Weight of events to audit
The audit class returns information about the following:
    . Dialog logon
    . RFC/CPIClogon
    . Remotefunctioncall(RFC)
    . Transaction start
    . Reportstart
    . User master change
You can specify the weight of events to audit:
    . Audit only critical
    . Audit important and critical
    . Auditallevents
    SM20
SM20 to assess the security audit log.
Soppose if you wanted to find out the transaction run by a perticular user in certain period, You can get this information in SU20.

  • RFC gateway setup in XI and R3

    Hi All,
The sceanario is RFC calling target system through XI.
Do we need to create one RFC destination in XI and another one in R3 for achieving this. And what are the parameters (gatewayhost, service, program id ) need to be supplied. Much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Deno

    Hi,
<i>Created RFC dest in XI as registered server program with Gateway host and service as R3 smgw--> gateway host and service. Then in R3, what type of destination do i need to call this programid for connecting..Please correct me if anything is wrong here..</i>
    1. Created RFC destination with PROGRAM ID.
    2. Create sender RFC adapter and put the details and put the same program ID that you have given in RFC destination
    3. Test the RFC destination and see if it's working.
    4. Complete your IR and ID config
    5. Run RFC from transaction SE37 with the RFC destination created in the step 1 and all input values.

  • RFC Adapter Trace!

    Hi Everybody,
I'm currently trying to debug a problem with the RFC adapter. Is there a flag that can be set that would allow me to see the actual JCO code being executed by the RFC adapter? I'm in a situation where the RFC is being executed and it's generating an error message but it seems to be data related...however, the data in the XML looks correct so I need to see how the RFC adapter is interpreting the XML message. Of course, I'm definitely open to any other ideas that you may have.
    Thanks alot,
    ...Scottd
    p.s.I'm using XI 3.0!

    Hi, Soctt,
Go to the J2ee Visual Admin tool. Check the service Log configurator. Go to the RFC adapter file and set the trace level to debig mode. Save it. Noe try to test your sceanrio and check the file system for the traces...You have more info from the trace now.
Looks like you have a problem with the data you trying to send thorouch XI.

    Hi Prasanna,
    Thanks for the reply.
Actually there are about 3 to 4 files which are of type .open and they have created long back. Are those files still getting populated. If we set the "hour to close all files" to 0 it should close the open files and create the new(fresh) files for the next day right?
According to the documentation in help portal, "Files may be closed before reaching this limit(Max File Size), as all files are closed at the hour specified in the Hour in the day to close all files property."
Then how come some old files are still getting populated?
Midnight means wat time in particular? Plz explain
About timestamp is it the time the file was created in some format?
If anyone knows plz explain the format of timestamp

    dear all,
please help me. how I trace a user'a activity in sap user id wise.for a given period, he use which tcodes & reports.

    Abrar ahmed

    Hi
You can perform the audit option for this user activty, but make sure that the enough space is available for the log generation.
Configure in SM19 the users required and check in SM20 the log.
    OR
You can trace the user in ST01 and analyze the log.

  • Keep active a secure website using Flash.

I am developing Flash training programs for my company. The
programs are called from the companies secure website. While the
Flash training programs are running in their own window, the secure
website in the background closes down due to lack of activity. When
I change menus in Flash you have to relogin to the companies site.
    My question:
Can I, in Flash, simulate a mouse click to the hosting
webpage in order to keep it active? Or is there another way? Just
calling another program from the same directory does not reset the
    websites internal timer.
    Thanks,

    Thanks all for your interest,
We are constrained by the fact that the IT folks won't,
don't, or can't help. Our current training program calls swf files
and even .exe files. This does not reset the timer. I have tried
using a JavaScript to open a new window containing a sef or ,exe
file with almost no content. Not quiet sure how to proceed.
How could I easily set it up so that Flash only updated the
timeout based on the presence of user activity in the Flash file
    itself?

Someone does knows how to proceed on that.
I want to know thwe tables and procedures or function used by the Bill system engine for tuning purpose.
