Rfc to xi tto file

Hi,
Iam struck up with scenario in rfc to file where , rfc is taken as sender communication channel.
what is the way to configure sender communication channel.

Hi

  • Flat File-to-RFC question, multiple RFC calls for one file.

    Hi guys,
I'm quite new to XI / PI and I have a question regarding a File-to-RFC scenario we're trying in NW PI 7.1.
We have a flat file which has two lines with two fields each, let's take this as an example :
    001,001
    002,002
The files needs to be converted to XML and then transferred to the RFC program which will update a table with the values above.
    In the ESR I've created 3 data types (z_row1,z_record1 and z_fileinput1), 1 message type (z_file2rfc_ob_mt), 1 message mapping (z_file2rfc_mm), 2 Service Interface (z_file2rfc_ob_si and z_file2rfc_ib_ztestpi) and 1 operation mapping (z_file2rfc_om).
In the Integration Builder (ID) I've created everything required (The sender and receiver communication channels, sender and receiver agreement, receiver determination and interface mapping).
We're also using content conversion to convert the flat file to XML, this does seem to work because I see all the lines/field in the message when it gets into PI. The problem is that the RFC can only accept two fields at a time and only the first line gets updated. I see that only the first line gets sent to the RFC.
How can I make the RFC call for each and every line ?
    Thanks !!

Create the RFC with table, which takes multiple lineitem as input and update the table in single call.
If you want response back then call RFC as synchrounous else in Asynchrounous mode.
By doing this in single call it will update the complete table.

  • ABAP Server Proxy OR RFC - for attaching a file

    Hello ABAP gurus,
Just to give a brief background, systems involved are ERP and PI
Certain Files (3 files to be exact) are generated in the ERP directory/file system
I need to transfer these files to PI "without" using the readily available FTP/NFS adapters (this is a limitation - no use of direct FTP is allowed)
Making the directory as a "shared" directory between ERP and PI is also not an option.
With the scenario above, I though of using an RFC or an ABAP Server Proxy to attach the said files to send them to PI
Which is the better way to do it?
I've seen a documentation for the ABAP Server Proxy that makes it possible to attach files to the proxy message, but for RFC I don't know if this is possible?
Your expert advise is highly appreciated

    hI,
Use class CL_PROXY_CLIENT in the program and method IF_PROXY_CLIENT~EXECUTE.
You can refer documentation of this class as well as if you will search on any search portal using name of this class, you will get the briefe idea with the refernce procedure too.
Unfortunately I am unable to post you few links but try search on it, hopefully you will get it.
    try below link.

  • SOAP to RFC synchronous scenario with File

    Hi,
    My scenario is
Java application is sending SOAP message to PI and PI should route that message (after converting SOAP message to XI message) to RFC.
    2) After receiving the response from RFC PI should send the response to java application. Now here comes the little tweak, we need to map RFC response to File as well apart from sending SOAP response message (which is generated after mapping RFC response message to Java application response structure) back to Java application.
    Is it possible without BPM?

Without BPM you can try below approach, but i would recommend you to use BPM.
        Develop    SOAP---->PI(rfc look up) -
    > SOAP/JAVA application
map RFC loop up response to SOAP receiver and JAVA application/.

  • SOAP to RFC synchronous scenario with File without BPM

    Hi Folks,
I have a requirement that has to be done with out BPM!!!
    Requirement:
Soap will trigger the request to SAP(RFC) and SAP sends the response to a file and then after SOAP has to recieve the ACK from PI.
    1) Can we do this by without using BPM
2)Can we use without BPM module entries for SOAP Sender
Please suggest and help me out in this
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards
    vivek

    Hi Vivek,
Why not have the SOAP interface defined as synchronous?
You can avoid using BPM that way.

    NO_MAPPINGPROGRAM_FOUND
    1) Open Interface Determination in ID and check if correct source and target interfaces are entered there.
    2) Also check the name of the Interface/ Operation Mapping whic is included in the Interface Determination
    3) Make some dummy change to this Interface Determination and again activate
    4) Check the ache Status in ID --> Environment --> cache Status Overview
    5) In SXI_CACHE check if the Interface mapping and Interface Determination are present
    6) If needed perform a cache refresh

  • RFC(ABAP Proxy)-------XI-------- FILE Asynch

    Hi All,
    Good evening.
Please let me clear one thing, the message automatically comes into XI when executing proxy at R/3 side? or we have to send from RWB by using the path
    component monitoring-->Proxyruntime----->sendmessage
there we paste the message from SXMB_MONI of R/3?
    Please clarify my doubt ASAP.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nagarjuna.

    Hi
You can test the scenario from SXMB_Moni of R/3.
Or you can call the execute_synchronous method and the whole scenario will work fine.

  • Scenario File-XI-RFC-File

    hi,
I have send a file to a RFC  using XI.The RFC.response is being received by XI correctly in XI Monitor.
Now,I need to send this RFC.response to Flat file.
For this,What i need to do? The only way is using BPM?
¿all the interfaces should be async?
Can any body help me step by step in this regard..........
    I'm with XI 3.0 SP9.
    Regards,
    Antonio.

    Hi Antonio,
    In the <b>Integration Repository</b> (Design) :
    1. Create Data type, Message Type for Input file and Output file.
    2. Import the RFC.
    3. Now create Message Interface for both input (outbound type, asynchronus)and output (inbound type, asynchronus) files. Create Abstract Intefaces (asynchronus) for these two files.
    4. Create a synchronus Message interface for the RFC.
    5. Create the request (input file and RFC) and response( RFC.response and output file) Message Mapping.
    6. Create Interface Mapping (between the synchronus inteface created in step 4 and RFC)
    7. Create a <b>BPM</b> (Integration Process)with receive (input file), send (synchronus) and send(asynchronus).
    In <b>Integration Directory</b> (Configuration)
1.Create new Scenario. Assign the Business System from which RFC is being picked and new Business Service.
2.Specify three communication channel. One each for input (sender) and output file (receiver) and one for RFC (Receiver).
    3. Create the Integration Process.
    4. Create a sender Agreement (between File Service and RFC(Business System))
    5. Do three Receiver Determination and Corresponding Interface Determination
       a. File Service and BPM
       b. BPM and RFC(Business System)
       c. RFC and File Service
    6. Create two Receiver Agreement
       a. BPM and RFC (Business System)
       b. BPM and File Service.
    Hope this will be helpful.

  • Mapping error in file(FCC) to rfc scenario

    Hi,
i am trying to implement mapping in file (fcc) to rfc scenario. the source file is getting picked up, but the problem is arising during mapping. i am unable to generate the target structure. i am attaching mapping structure as follows
    Source Structure                           Target Structure: RFC
    storesales                                     -POSDW-CREATE_TRANSACTIONS_EXT
         recordset                                      it_transaction
           gmd_site_101                                 item
          gmd_site_102
          gmd_site_103
          gmd_site_104
here the recorset is mapped to item, and fields of subnode gmd_site_101 is mapped to fields of subnode item. similarly, for the other subnodes. but when testing with xml file, the target field is not getting generated. in FCC parameters, ignorerecordset name is set to "true".
any help would be very helpful..thanks in advance.
    warm regards,
    kartz

    hi
You can test the data using payload from SXMB_MONI in message mapping test tool so as you can get to know the reason of failure.
It would be better if you paste the error you are getting over there.
Check if you have maintained the namespace in CC or not. it should be same maintained if you have kept namespace in message type.
Also check in FCC parameters you must have used ignoreRecordsetName = true

  • How to explain the business requirement of a file to rfc scenario

    Hello Experts,
How do i explain the business requirement of
        1. FILE TO IDOC.
        2. FILE TO RFC.
        3. FILE TO JDBC scenarios?
Cud anybody explain me how to explain the requirement of these scenarios in an interview?Cud u pls send me the example for these and the systems involved and the documents involved...helpful answers will be rewarded...
                                                                                    cheers
                                                                                    Jay.
    my mail :  [email protected]

    <b>1. FILE TO IDOC</b>.
When u have ur master data stored in a file thru a legacy system say in some xml format then u may need to have this scenario configured.
    <b>2. FILE TO RFC.</b>
Consider pt1 but here for example consider delete scenario. when u have deleted the mater/transaction u may need to update another file...so in this case u will need to config this scenario...y we cannot use idoc is becoz sync scneario is not possible with idoc but yes with rfc
    <b>3. FILE TO JDBC scenarios?</b>
u have some business data extracted from a file and before u update a r3 transaction u may need to refer a datbase table to read some data baed on keyfield...so u will take a jdbc response and based on that u may validate with the data for r3 updation.
the scenario keeps varying in real life and the above are very few examples of the kind of scenario that would exists in the business world

  • File to RFC to File with BPM Scenario

    Hi all,
I am trying to implement a Sender File ( async )  to RFC (sync ) to Receiver File with a BPM. I using the blog  https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1926. [original link is broken] But it doesn’t work.  First message FileRequestOut is correct in SXMB-MONI, but the second is showing a error. I checked in SXMB-MONI-BPE and I say in workitem is follow message:
    Message Error Workflow
‘ Error handling for work item 000000001714
Work item 000000001714: Object CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed
No reference message specified when sending a response
No reference message specified when sending a response’
I configured my BPM scenario in this way:
      ( Sender File Adapter )
      First Step
      Receiver Step ( Asynchronous )
      Mode:  Asynchronous
      Receive Message: File Request
      ( Receiver RFC Adapter )
      Second Step
      Send Step ( Synchronous )
      Mode: Synchronous
      Request Message: File Request
      Response Message: File Response
      Receiver From: Send Context
      ( Receiver File Adapter )
      Third Step
      Send Step (Asynchronous )
      Mode:  Asynchronous
      Receive Message: File Response
      Receiver From: Send Context
I have changed it, many times and I can get solve it.  About my configuration objects, I think it is ok, because a tested my Interfaces in Configuration Test Tools it was ok. ( Receiver Det. Interface Mapping, etc…)
I have seen in SDN, this error maybe Sencond Step must be Synchronous e  Third Step must be Synchronous too. Is it true? In other hand, I have seen, it is possible to use a Async / Sync Brigde.
Could you help me about this problem?
          Thanks for help

In BPM did u used as
                        Recive Step      Async
                        Synchronous     Send Step
                        Send Step is  Async
<i><b>    it is possible to use a Async / Sync Brigde.</b></i>

  • File to JDBC Using RFC Adapter.

    Hi All,
I've been trying to find out a scenario which is like a File-to-Database where RFC is the sender and JDBC is at Receiver end.
    Kindly guide me in:
    1) What are the steps I need to do when I use a RFC Adapter to pick a file from FTP?
    2) Are the steps same for the JDBC Adapter as we do normally in a JDBC Receiver Adapter?
    3) Is there any other configuration required for this type of scenario?
    4) If I import the RFC only I wanted to know how would the file be picked from FTP Server? Is it likewhile create a RFC we import the File from FTP server.
My Plan of Action to do the scenario is:
    1) Import the RFC from R/3.
    2) Create the data types for target.
    3) Map them both.
    4) Use JDBC Adapter on the Receiver end.
These are the steps which I think should be done, if there are any  other steps which I need to do, please do tell me.
Please do let me know the steps if all the are wrong as I'm doing this type of scenario for the 1st time.

    Hi Prakasu,
    I am using PI 7.1 version .
When I opened SMICM there I am finding the HTTP Port as 52000.and the BS at SLD are also using the same Port in URL..
And when i verified with the Basis they confirmed that Exchange profile is set correctly.
But My file adapter is still not able to send the data to IS.
Than I configured a scenario file to file without IR object and in this case data is coming to IS and it is succesfull also.
what is the reason that in this case file adapter not able to push the data to IS.
I used File adapter with NFS protocol.

  • File- rfc- soap- rfc

    Hi
I have a scenario  File to rfc it has to update the rfc table & the same file request has to call soap after updating the rfc table & the response from soap has to update rfc again....
    I have designed bpm
1)Receive step asyc to receive the file
2)Send step aschyronus to update the rfc
3)Send step sychronous to call the soap
4)Transformation step to convert soap response to rfc input.
5)Send step aschyronous to update the rfc..
Do i need to use S/A bridge in my scenario...
Can any one you please breif  me what steps are going to involve in bpm & Coresponding Message mappings & the interfcae mapping.
Any responses would be greatly appreciated...
I have seen all the related weblogs...
    Thanks
    ram

    Hi,
The step are good if you don't need to see whether the uopdate has happened in RFC and based on that you want to go ahead.
<i>1)Receive step asyc to receive the file</i>
    MI- Oubound async
    MI- Abstract async1
2)Send step aschyronus to update the rfc
MI-Abstract async1 (send step will be async)
The above is if the data structure requred to be sent to RFC is same as in Abstract async1 else do a transformation from MI-Abstract asyn1 to abstract async2
3)Send step sychronous to call the soap
Here also if the metadata is not same as that of MI abstract1 then transformation step to move data to abstract sync3 (you need to have two message Interface here request response
4)Transformation step to convert soap response to rfc input.
response of the soap will be the input and output would be another MI for file metadata
5)Send step aschyronous to update the rfc..
MI for file metadata in previous step.
    6. MI -Inbound async to pass from IP to the service you are using.
    Hope this helps.

Else in case you have SP19 then ref this abstract from an earlier post !!
    <i>All,
Just thought I'd add a quick note here.
From SP 19 on XI 3.0 and SP 10 on PI 7.0, a File - RFC - File ( Asynch - Synch ) scenario can be done without a BPM.
    Steps:
    Integration Repository
The Integration Repository will be similar to any Synchronous Scenario ( say HTTP - RFC ) . 1 Outbound Synch message Interface and 1 Inbound Synch Message Interface.
    Integration Directory
This is where a few differences lie, so let me take some time.
    1. The Receiver Determination , Interface Determination will be the same as in HTTP - RFC synch scenario. Create the Sender File Adapter, Receiver RFC Adapter and Receiver File Adapter.
    2. Sender Agreement will be for the Sender File Adapter. Sender Agreement uses the Synch Outbound Message Interface.
    3. Receiver Agreement will be for the Receiver RFC adapter. Receievr Agreement will use the RFC as thge Inbound Message Interface.
    4. We need to add a few modules in the Sender File Adapter.
Go to the Modules Tab of the Sender File Adater, and add the following modules in the same sequence,
    Number - ModuleName - Type - ModuleKey
    1- AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean - Local Enterprise Bean - 1
    2- CallSapAdapter-Local Enterprise Bean - 2
    3-AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean-3
    Parameters
    ModuleKey - ParameterName - ParameterValue
    1 - passThrough - true
3-receiverChannel - Receiver File Adapter Name
    3-receiverService - Receiver Business Service/ System
With this configuration, you can now handle the requirement without a BPM
This feature been already blogged for JMS Adapters in these blogs ,
Sync/Async communication in JMS adapter without BPM (SP19)
Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM (SP 19)
Dynamic Configuration is also possible, and this as well as many other options are discussed in the How To guide - "How To Realize a sync-async and async-sync
bridge within the Adapter Framework" available on the Service Market Place.</i>
