RFC-- XI

Hi all,
I have a simple scenario of RFC sending a message to XI...
I configured RFC Reciever, but unfortunatly when I get the message from RFC I see that the fields are not formated correctly (thouth the structure of XML is right).
My R/3 is installed on AS-400, thought XI in installed on Windows Server...
Anyone any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

hi,
what do you mean are not formatted correctly?
whcih fields ? dates ? numbers ?
you can always change the formatting in a message
mapping (date format etc)
but you need to tell more about your issue

michal

    Hi Kranthi,
    Yes I'm pretty sure of the input parameter, because P_Userid y conformed by first letter Name and followed with complete last name I.E "RROSILLO".
    Also I've found in a note how to activate log details in the Was I set it to all instead ERROR (as default shipped). On one of log files I found an exception:

  • How to pass the data from a input table to RFC data service?

    Hi,
    I am doing a prototype with VC, I'm wondering how VC pass the data from a table view to a backend data service? For example, I have one RFC in the backend system with a tabel type importing parameter, now I want to pass all the data from an input table view to the RFC, I guess it's possible but I don't know how to do it.
    I try to create some events between the input table and data service, but seems there is no a system event can export the whole table to the backend data service.
    Thanks for your answer.

    Thanks for your answer, I tried the solution 2, I create "Submit" button, and ser the mapping scope to  be "All data rows", it only works when I select at least one row, otherwise the data would not be passed.
    Another question is I have serveral imported table parameter, for each table I have one "submit" event, I want these tables to be submitted at the same time, but if I click the submit button in one table toolbar, I can only submit the table data which has a submit button clicked, for other tables, the data is not passed, how can I achieve it?
    Thanks.

  • Call RFC Function Module and return 1000 records at a time

    I would like to call a Remote Enabled Function Module from a non SAP system.  This function module will select data from the database and return it to the calling program.
    Suppose there are 100,000 records that need to be returned, but the calling module would like the data in chunks of 1000 records.  Therefore the calling program would call the FM 100 times.
    How do I code the function module to know on each subsequent call to grab the next chunk of 1000 records?
    Let me know if additional information is needed.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

    Hello,
    Here is how you can go for this issue:
    1. Create one RFC function module with following parameter. These parameters are with respective of chunking logic.
         Import: Package Size
         Export: Total number of records
         Changing: chunk count
    Implement following logic:
    1. First of you need to know how many chunks you need to fetch for that get the count of total number of records. This is one
        time activity so you better maintain one flag import parameter will be set to 'X' only first call.
    2. Get the number of chunk using total number of records / chunk size for e.g. 1000 / 100 so chunk count = 10.
    3. Define internal chunk counter in function module which will be used to locate the correct chunk depending on the chunk
        counter value sent from calling program.
    4. Send first call with package size 100 and chunk count = 1, execute select statement and increment internal
        chunk count check if chunk count = internal chunk count in current case chunk count = 1 so exit select statement and return
        with first chunk.
    5. Send second call with package size 100 and chunk count = 2. Execute select statement and check chunk count with internal
        chunk counter, in current case it will be 1 so skip that data and go for next chunk of 100 records increment internal chunk
        counter. In this case it will match with external chunk count = 2. load output table with that data and return to calling program.
    6. Repeat step 4 until you reach last chunk.
    You need to use SELECT...ENDSELECT with PACKAGE SIZE addition so for every loop it will return number of records mentioned in package size.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Augustin.

  • JCOProxy error while calling a RFC

    Hi,
       When i tr to call a RFC "CBIF_GLM1_BATCH_READ", i get a fatal error.The error message is:
    "JCOProxy error: Problem retrieving JCO.Function object."
    When i checked if i was able to connect to any of the functions other than BAPI's i got the same error.
    Is there something that i need to turn on in SAP?
    I am using SAP xMII 11.5.3 SR03 and SAP 4.7 Enterprise.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Ram,
    I tried loading this RFC, CBIF_GLM1_BATCH_READ, using my version of xMII 11.5.3 and it worked without a problem.  Are you sure that this RFC was not modified in your system that causes it to not work properly?  Also, when you tested the RFC in se37 did you try to run it without setting any parameters?  What about using the Web DynPro interface to see if it generates the XML properly?  Just a couple of things to look into, but I know it's not xMII.  If you did modify the RFC you will have to restart the ServletExec service to clear the xMII JCO API cache.  Hope this helps.

    Hi Nilesh Taunk,
    You can go through the following steps
    -o JCO Exceptions 1. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/f6/daea401675752ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    -o JCO Exceptions 2. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f6/e002416225f023e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    -o Restart of the J2EE instance and try re-importing the RFC model. Sometimes it helps.
    -o Logon into WebDynpro Content Administrator as a J2EE Admin and check if the JCO Connections and User /pwd of your application is correct. You can <b>ping </b>or <b>test your JCO connections</b>. if something is wrong, enter the values again for JCO n retest them.
    -o Try undeploying or removing the complete application and redeploy it.
    Tu undeploy please go to
    Go to <b>Visual Admin -> Server -> Services -> Deploy ->
    </b>
    Under Runtime Tab
    select the server, open the tree , you would find the webdypro list there.
    Now select an application, first stop it, remove it and redeploy if necessary.
    Let us know if you could solve the problem or not, gud luck!

  • Error while deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company (RFC des

    Dear all,
    I am trying to synchronize Company master data between local BCS system and SAP BW with UGMD_BATCH_SYNC program. In the synchronization mode, Full Synschronization (Write and Delete) was selected.
    However, I receive the following error message when executing the program:
    Error while deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company (RFC destination )
    Message no. UGMD077
    Diagnosis
    When writing or deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company errors occurred in the system with RFC destination . As the changes have already been defined in the local storage location this results in the master data being asynchronous between the local and remote storage location.
    System Response
    Processing is continued.
    Procedure
    Carry out a manual synchronization of the master data later using report UGMD_BATCH_SYNC. You can find additional information there under Application Help.
    FYI, RFC Destination for my data basis is left blank.
    What may causes this error and how to resolve it?
    Thank you.

    Hi MontyBurns,
    May I know what settings that I need to check in UGMDSYNC program? As far as I can tell, there is only one parameter that we need to specify in the program i.e. Field Name. As I am trying to synchronize from BCS to BW, I have chosen the followings settings:
    Source = LOCAL
    Target = ALLBW
    All,
    Interesting thing that I notice after executing the UGMDSYNC program is the following message:
    Synchronize/Display Variances Between Systems
         The compound dependencies for the attributes or texts are not defined
         uniformly in the systems investigated.
         Example:
         Texts are defined as language-specific in the local systems and as
         language-independent in remote systems (for example BW systems). The
         same can apply for other compounds such as version or time dependencies.
    System Response
         The display of differences between the systems will be affected. A
         manual synchronization will not be completely successful.
    Procedure
         1.  Ensure that the dependencies for the attributes and texts are the
             same in all systems.
         2.  Start the synchronization process again.
    Procedure for System Administration
    I can check the attributes and texts in BW via RSD1 by specifying InfoObject = 0COMPANY and checking the Master data/texts and Attribute tabs. But how do I check similar settings in BCS Workbench? I can't determine whether the Company text is language-dependent or not simply by displaying specific Company from Process View > Master Data > Consolidation Units > Company.
    Thanks.

  • An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying post goods receipt in EWM system in a simple inbound delivery process. It is not getting posted back in ECC. I have my RFC connection setup properly(I assume since I was able to transfer inbound delivery to EWM in first place).It seems some setting related to Outbound queue in EWM is missing.Can anyone tell me in detail what settings are required?Is it something to do with WE20 transaction?I am not sure what settings should be done there.The error log is as below-
    An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system
    SB3CLNT011
    Message No. B1550
    Diagnosis
    An RFC destination should be specified for the logical system SB3CLNT011.
    This could not be done in this case. SB3CLNT011 is not your local logical system
    and this system is not included in the relevant Customizing tables.
    Procedure
    Check:
    RFC
    destination
    Port
    definitions
    oubound partner profile of
    message type SYNCH for this logical system
    Regards,
    Khushboo

    Hi Oritra and Suraj,
    I have checked remote connection in SM59 for both the logical system.It works fine.I understand this is more of a technical issue,but I don't have A local basis team to help me so reaching out to experts here.Can you guide me what technical settings could be checked for EWM-->ECC connection?When I execute BD82 for SB3CLNT011 it shows me green status with message "No messages have been defined for the selection conditions in the model".
    Although when I do this for EWM logical system SB3CLNT012 it shows me this with all green status-
    System SB3CLNT011 as a partner type already exists
    System SB3CLNT012 as a partner type already exists
    Port A000000018 with RFC destination SB3CLNT011 already exists
    Outbound parameters for message type SHP_IBDLV_CHANGE SHP_IBDLV_CHANGE01 already
    Outbound parameters for message type SHP_IBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA SHP_IBDLV_SAVE_REPLI
    Outbound parameters for message type SYNCH SYNCHRON already exist
    Am I missing something in WE20?

  • Creation of Production order in Past dates using RFC

    Hi all,
    I am using RFC to Create a production order based on the datas available from MES systems.Here the process flow is From MES system datas are passed to interface in file format then from interface will calll the RFC so that the RFC will do the function of Creating the Production order & release in SAP.
    Here i face an issue that i have 3 shifts at the end of every shift i have to tranfer the datas from MES to SAP .Which means i have to create 3 Production orders for a day.My issue here is the third shift datas will be availble for me in the next day morning after that only i am able to transfer theses datas to SAP.In this case i want the SAP to create th Production order  for third shift in the Previous day time.
    Ashift - 7AM t0 3PM
    BShift-3PM to 11PM
    CShift-11 PM to Next day morning 7 AM
    I need SAP to create Production order for Shift C on 11 PM of the Previous day when i transfer it on next day morning 7AM.
    Is this possible.
    Thanks in Advance,
    MBN

    Hi,
    I mean the Production Created date as the basic date only.
    My requirement is for the C shift i will get the output from the MES on the next day morning.After that i wwill transfer the production datas to SAP throgh Interface at that time i need the basic start date & time  of the production order to be the C shift starting time that is previous day night 11.00 PM.
    Eg.
    C shift  date 12.04.2010 night 11PM to 7AM
    i transfer the c shift production datas from MES to SAP on 13/04/2010 Morning 7AM.But i want these datas to create basic start date & time of the production order on 12/04/2010  11PM.
    What should be done to get these.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Creation of XML file from RFC

    Hi Experts,
    Iam getting input parameters to my RFC from JAVA.
    With that data i have to create XML file from my RFC, and i have to send that file to third party.
    Could you please tell me the total procedure.
    I know how to create RFC, i need how to create XML and how to send to third party.
    Thanks and regards,
    Kumar.

    HI,
    Follow the procedure :
    1.Get the schema by using add generated items according to particular RFC.
    2.Then  create the target schema.
    3.Create the map file and mapp both the schemas.
    After deployement follow the below steps
    1.In BizTalk administration console  create the send port to send the resulted XML to particular location.
    2.Then configure the receive port with values(pipeline=xmlreceive;clientid,userid,pwd,sap gateway host;sap gateway service to connect the sap.
    Now  start the application !
    Let me know if u still have a problem ?

  • Creation of Trusted RFC fails

    Hello
    I am trying to connect my ERP and BW systems to Solution Manager but I can't make Trusted RFC connections.
    When I checked SM59 on three systems I see `You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)
    I did successfully installed Solution Manager, did initial and basic settings. I created SOLMAN_ADMIN user every system assigned it SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW and created a role with S_RFCACL authorization object, (I assigned full authorization on all objects on that role).  I did add IP numbers and hostnames to hosts file but still same. When I test connection I get success but authorization check always fails.
    I both tried from SOLMAN_SETUP > Managed Systems and also after clearing all RFCs and trusted system entries from SMT1 and SMT2, I added RFCs from SMSY but I get same results.
    Side note, all servers are in the same subnet but Solution Manager server belongs to different domain.
    My main reason to implement trusted rfc is I need to implement ServiceDesk and I have to test it before going live, so all data on Solution Manager is expendable.
    My systems are
    ERP: Windows 2003 R2 x64, SQL 2005 SP3, ERP EHP4 SP5
    BW: Windows 2003 R2 x64, SQL 2008 SP1, NW 7.0 EHP2 SP6
    Solman: Windows 2003 R2, SQL 2008 SP1, EHP1 SP7
    What am I doing wrong there?

    Hello,
    Are you letting the wizard create the RFC's for you?
    On the Client tab in SMSY?
    Also you assigned S_RFCACL  what about S_RFC?
    I would ask you to check the logon tab and make sure Current user is not checked.
    Also, please review this Note 128447 - Trusted/trusting systems
    This should help resolve.

    Paul

  • File-to-file or File-to-RFC for Automatic PO creation and GR creation

    Hi,
    We are on XI 3.0 and the following has been put to me:
    We will receive a .CSV file from FTP server, into XI and then need to create Purchase Orders followed by the Goods Receipt documents in R/3 based on the incoming data.
    Further to this, the requirement is to give a log of the successfule and failed PO + GR document summary to the business.
    The programme in R/3 will compare the incoming file nmame with archived files already processed and will reject any files with duplicate names.
    I was suggesting to go with the file to RFC in R/3 whereby we can have a Z shell BAPI to include the standard BAPI for PO creation and GR creation. This Z code can then be extended to email the log to the business of which records were successfully created and which failed.
    However, I am stumped as to how can I make the file duplication comparison on R/3 as the incoming file will also be stored on R/3 archive somewhere.
    Can this be made when the BAPI is called in XI?
    I can configure alerts when the BAPI is mapped from incoming file for that interface.
    What was suggested also was to pick up the CSV file and thow it as it is in R/3 and then the Z code can go through it and create the PO and GR objects. However, then it does not make much sense to use XI as the middleware platform.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Arcahna

    Hi Archana,
    Take a look to this blog:
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/Different%20ways%20to%20keep%20your%20Interface%20from%20processing%20duplicate%20files
    Maybe it could help you for the duplicate files.

  • How to populate table in RFC

    How do I populate an abstractlist that is an input to an RFC?  I read the post by Bertram Ganz, but my generated classes look different.  I imported the RFC and the system generated the following:
    -zbapi_appraisal_create
      -zbapi_appraisal_create_input
        -appraisees (bapiappraisee)
          -bapiappraisee
            -fields...
        -output (zbapi_appraisal_create_output)
          -same as output node below
        -appraiser_id
        -rest of input parameters...
      -zbapi_appraisal_create_output
    ...etc.
    I have no problem setting the regular input parms, but how do I set the table?  I tried the following, but I get a ClassCastException on the call to setAppraisees().
    Zbapi_Appraisal_Create_Input input = new Zbapi_Appraisal_Create_Input();
    wdContext.nodeZbapi_Appraisal_Create().bind(input);
    input.setAppraisal_Model_Id(appraisalModelId);
    input.setStart_Date(startDate);
    input.setText(description);
    input.setCreation_Date(appraisalDate);
    input.setAppraiser_Id(appraiserId);
    //static values
    input.setPlan_Version("01");
    input.setAnonymous(true);
    input.setAppraiser_Type("P");
    input.setAppraiser_Plan_Version("01");
    //create appraisee
    <b>Bapiappraisee obj = new Bapiappraisee();
    obj.setPlan_Version("01");
    obj.setType("P");
    obj.setId(appraiseeId);
    obj.setName(appraiseeName);
    List myList = input.getAppraisees();
    if (myList == null) myList = new ArrayList();
    myList.add(obj);
    input.setAppraisees((AbstractList)myList);</b>
    wdContext.currentZbapi_Appraisal_CreateElement().modelObject().execute();
    wdContext.nodeOutput().invalidate();
    Any input is greatly appreciated!!

    WDDynamicRFCException most likely comes in the following cases:
    a) JCo is not setup properly
    b) Your function module does not exist in R/3 system referred by your JCo
    c) Your function module is not RFC enabled
    d) DD_DOMA_GET is not RFC enabled
    Also make sure you have got your cardinality settings for your model node in context controller proper.
    If you have used a template approach, just check your wdDoInit method of your custom/component controller for code similar to the following:
    wdContext.nodeBAPI_Input().bind(new BAPI_Input());
    If you have the above code and the code that you have just  pasted , just comment this code and try executing your application again.

    Hi,
    i have the scenario:
    Sending request to an Webservice per HTTPS and catch the response. This is working fine. In transaction sxmb_moni i can see the answer as XML.
    I have implemented the scenario response from webservice mapped into RFC-Function and send into SAP R/3. But i have to run this manuell! How can i run this automatically after getting the response from the Webservice.
    Thanks for any answere,

  • Attach file via RFC on an object in SAP R/3 4.6c

    Hi experts,
    I have to attach a file via a RFC into a Business Object of PM module; could be an Order (IW32) or a Note (IW22).
    I had tried the sample codes I saw in here, but none of them proved to be useful - some were not in use for me because of the lack of FM to convert from XSTRING to BINARY in 4.6c, some because of the code (not functional for RFC's)... I am searching (desperately) for directions, or a sample code (that works in 4.6c)!
    The requirements of the function I have to develop is:
    We will use R/3 4.6c integrated via RFCs with the PORTAL.
    For this FM (RFC) we have to:
    1- Receive file content directly into a XSTRING type IMPORT PARAMETER (using GOS resources).
    2- Get this content and save it on a table or ATTACH this content (file) to an PM Order or Note.
    Well, am I in the right way?! Can I develop a RFC like this in 4.6c, or is it impossible?!
    I haven't seen a solution yet for this kind of problem, and ask for your kind help, friends.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for welcoming me, friend. Hope I can help you as much as I need your help now...!
    Unfortunately, the method you're counseling me to follow don't fit, as one of my big problems in this case is to convert the Hexadecimal value (XSTRING) brought to the RFC to a binary one BEFORE I can send it to a internal table, thus calling the FM you mentioned, as it expects a TABLE parameter filled with a binary value.
    I know that in earlier versions, there is a conversion routine that could be helpful... I think it is "SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY"... but it isn't found here in 4.6c.
    Neither notes on trying this solution on a DIALOG landscape would help me, I guess. I've tryed every and each program or snippet found here in SDN, unsucessfully though...
    Guess here's the trick: the lack of built-in types and FM on this version of SAP that could help us, desperate developers, find a generic solution in time...
    Thank you, though.
    Is there any other solution? please answer in this topic.
