RFC2JDBC scenario error while inserting multiple rows because of constraint

Hello,
We have a RFC2JDBC scenario,
in RFC, we have internal tables, after mapping xml looks like;
- <ns1:masterData>
  + <Statement>
  + <Statement>
  + <Statement>
</ns1:masterData>
in addition to these, I insert the records in mssql DB and one of the table column have a constraint .
The problem occurs here, if one of the records have errors because of the constraint, the other records dont be processed or valid Statements can not run.
For example;
1.  <Statement> (valid sql)
2.  <Statement> (Have errors because of constraint)
3.  <Statement> (valid sql)
My first statement is inserted into table .  2. and 3. statement is not inserted. And the PI XML message generates an error Which is a DeliveryException.
I expect a result like;
<Statement_response>
  <update_count>0</update_count>
  <insert_count>1</insert_count>
</Statement_response>
<Statement_response>
  <update_count>0</update_count>
  <insert_count>0</insert_count>
</Statement_response>
<Statement_response>
  <update_count>0</update_count>
  <insert_count>1</insert_count>
</Statement_response>
First and Third Statment are inserted and Second is not..
How can I do this?
Thanks for your help..

Hi VijayaShankar, thank you for your answer..
I am trying to apply your solution to my problem.
One point, I couldnt pass..
In your Article, you use an IDOC interface, and there is no problem while creating Mapping Template.
But in my scenario, I am using RFC as a source message. And I couldnt create message template because, RFC has no
type. it is expected complex type but my imported RFC interface has no type. So I couldnt create Message Interface..
if there is a way to solve this, let me know..
Hasan.

  • Error while Insert new Row in Entity Base View Object

    Hi,
    can someone tell me the reason of following problem? :
    There is a Entity Base View object, which is Binded as ADF Table in a JSFX Page.
    I took the standard operations from the Control Panel: CreateInsert, Commit and Rollback.
    Places them a ADF Buttons.
    Whenever i am trying to insert a Row, after commit i am getting the ORA Error: ORA-01410: invalid ROWID.
    By the way: The Entity Object is using the RowID as Primary Key.
    When i press commit a second time, the the Row is inserted in the Database.
    Any Idea, how to workarround this ORA Error?
    Thank You!

    n by default if you had no pkconstrainst in db,
    in jdev default rowid as prim key.
    as john said make the key as proper.
    and do it.
    if you have db constrainst in db.
    it can be achived by dbconstrainstname with ora.
    what am saying dbconstranist name will map it ora.

    Hello Suresh,
    in which table... did you get a dump?
    What is the ORA-error? Is a trace or an alert.log entry generated?

    Please anyone help me out, on how to get this concept started.

    Hello,
    I have a way to do this, but it would take some hand coding on your part. If you feel comfortable hand writing php code and doing manual database calls, specificaly database INSERT calls you should be fine.
    Create a custom form using the ADDT Custom Form Wizard that has all the rows and fields you need. This may take a bit if you are adding the ability for up to 20 rows, as per your diagram of the form area. The nice thing about using ADDT to create the form is that you can setup the form validation at the same time. Leave the last step in the Custom Form Wizard blank. You can add a custom database call here, but I would leave it blank.
    Next, under ADDT's Forms Server Behaviors, select Custom Trigger. At the Basic tab, you enter your custom php code that will be executed. Here you are going to want to put your code that will check if a value has been entered in the form and then do a database INSERT operation on the Stock_table with that row. The advanced tab lets you set the order of operations and the name of the Custom Trigger. By default, it is set to AFTER. This means that the Custom Trigger will get executed AFTER the form data is processed by the Custom Form Transaction.
    I usually just enter TEST into the "Basic" tab of the Custom Trigger. Then set my order of operations in the "Advanced" tab and close the Custom Trigger. Then I go to the code view for that page in Dreamweaver and find the Custom Trigger function and edit the code manually. It's much easier this way because the Custom Trigger wizard does not show you formatting on the code, and you don't have to keep opening the Wizard to edit and test your code.
    Your going to have to have the Custom Trigger fuction do a test on the submitted form data. If data is present, then INSERT into database. Here's a basic example of what you need to do:
    In your code view, the Custom Trigger will look something like this:
    function Trigger_Custom(&$tNG) {
    if($tNG->getColumnValue("Item_1")) {
    $item1 = $tNG->getColumnValue("Item_1");
    $textbox1_1 = $tNG->getColumnValue("Textbox_1");
    $textbox1_2 = $tNG->getColumnValue("Textbox_2");
    $textbox1_3 = $tNG->getColumnValue("Textbox_3");
    $date1 = $tNG->getColumnValue("Textbox_3");
    $queryAdd = "INSERT INTO Stock_table
    (item, Qty_In, Qty_Out, Balance, Date) VALUES($item1, $textbox1_1, $textbox1_2, $textbox1_3, $date1)"
    $result = mysql_query($queryAdd) or die(mysql_error());
    This code checks to see if the form input field named Item_1 is set. If so, then get the rest of the values for the first item and insert them into the database. You would need to do this for each row in your form. So the if you let the customer add 20 rows, you would need to check 20 times to see if the data is there or write the code so that it stops once it encounters an empty Item field. To exit a Custom Trigger, you can return NULL; and it will jump out of the function. You can also throw custom error message out of triggers, but this post is already way to long to get into that.
    $tNG->getColumnValue("Item_1") is used to retrieve the value that was set by the form input field named Item_1. This field is named by the Custom Form Wizard when you create your form. You can see what all the input filed names are by looking in the code view for something like:
    // Add columns
    $customTransaction->addColumn("Item_1", "STRING_TYPE", "POST", "Item_1");
    There will be one for each field you created with the Custom Form Wizard.
    Unfortunately, I don't have an easy way to do what you need. Maybe there is a way, but since none of the experts have responded, I thought I would point you in a direction. You should read all you can about Custom Triggers in the ADDT documentation/help pdf to give you more detailed information about how Custom Triggers work.
    Hope this helps.

  • To insert multiple rows by getting the values from the user

    Hi
    I want to insert multiple rows into a table using user given values dynamically.
    I am a beginner to PL/SQL. Below code is part of my big code. A_row_insert is 2 and A_count is 1 (initially). While i execute , it asks for input only once and insert the same data 2 times. I want to enter two different rows. Please guide/advise me on this.
    while (A_count<=A_row_insert) loop
    dbms_output.put_line('Enter the value  for the row#'||A_count||' of the table '||v_req_tab_name||':');
    begin

    If I try to insert only BLOB object (lines 30, 42 are NOT COMMENTED OUT, line 43 is commented out) - everything is OK again.
    If I try to insert them both having some values (lines 30, 43 are commented out, 42 is not commented out) - it fails right on "command.ExecuteNonQuery();" (line 54)
    with the following exception:
    "ORA-21500: internal error code, arguments: [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%]".
    Even when I nullify oraBlob before assigning it to OracleParameter value (line 30 is commented out, line 42 and 43 are not) I have the same exception.
    XMLDOCUMENT and DLOB data logically are very coupled objects (in my application), so I really want to insert them simultaneously in one stored procedure in transactional way.
    Is it bug of drivers, server, .net environment, or I miss something in implementation?
    PS. In some articles on Oracle web and in MSDN site I found a mention about necessity of wrapping all write/update operations in a transaction, while working with temporary LOBs. I use it here, but it does not look like changing anything.

    Hello,
    I tested your code with the 10.1.0.4.0 ODP and 10.1.0.4.0 Client and it worked fine.
    Can you please apply the 10.1.0.4.0 patches for both ODP and client to see if this resolves the issue for you.
    Here is the output from the same execution of the ODP application you provided as a testcase. These rows were inserted at the same time when I executed the application and passed the data as parameters to the SP you provided.

  • Inserting Multiple Rows in a table

    Hello,
    I need to insert multiple rows in a table with the selected items from a list (Multiple select).
    How do i go about it. I'm using ADF-struts-UIX application on Jdeveloper 9.0.5.2
    Thanks.

    Jonas, I've downloaded the sample application from your ADF UIX Editable table tip but have some problems.
    I can't even open the emp.table.uix file - errors are:
    Parsing error. Unable to parse binding.
    javax.servlet.jst.el.ELException:Function ctrl:createSortableHeaderModel was not found.
    and
    javax.servlet.jst.el.ELException:Function ctrl:getSortOrder was not found.
    Also - is there a place in the sample where you define the sample tables? They do not seem to match the standard sample emp table, for instance.
    I've just started using JDeveloper and would like to use the solution.
    Thanks - Linda

  • Inserting Multiple Rows into a Table

    I am having problems insert multiple rows. I am using Table1.Row1.instanceManger.addInstance(1).
    I try adding another line using
    Table1.Row2.Cell2.value.#text= "TEST"
    and I get an error acessor is unknown. I assume this is an index issue. Can someone tell me if I am doing this wrong and discuss table indexes?

    The first thing I notice is that your variable, "num," isn't initialized in the FOR loop like I'm used to seeing.. The next thing I would try would be declaring my variables outside of the loop. Something like this maybe.
    String query = null;
    Statement stmt = null;
    int rowsUpdated = 0;
    for (int num = 0; num < 10; num++);     {
         query = "INSERT into apartment (apartmentID,blockID) VALUES ('"+num+"','"+aid+"')";
         stmt = con.createStatement();
         rowsUpdated += stmt.executeUpdate(query);
    }Let me know how it goes.

  • Want to insert multiple rows in table using EO

    Hi,
    I have one requirement where I need to insert multiple rows at once in table lets say Previous Employers.
    What I am trying to do is I have created few textinputboxes and getting there values and putting in HashMap.
    And manually inserting the rows to EO. I am not getting any error but the data is not populating in Table.
    here is the code snap ...please suggest!!
    public void updateKoelHrPreEmpVO(HashMap map)
    OADBTransaction txn = getOADBTransaction();
    //HashMap map = new HashMap();

    Regards,
    Mukesh

    1. Pls check if the create() methos in EOImpl is in place, setting the primary key.
    2. Even though we insert values in this fashion , it only gets inserted if user performs any action, like manipulates some column. Pls check if there is any mechansm to make the row dirty ( as if done by user).

  • Insert multiple rows with autoincrement id

    I need to insert multiple rows to a table which has an autoincrement PK (unique), e.g:
    Entity:
    public Class Entity{
    @Id
    @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY)
    @Basic(optional = false)
    @Column(name = "id")
    Private Long id;
    Facade:
    @PersistenceContext(unitName = "xx-enterprise-ejbPU")
    protected EntityManager em;
    public void create(Entity entity) {
    em.persist(entity);
    Service Class:
    public Class Service implements ServiceLocal{
    @EJB
    private XxxFacadeLocal xxxFacade;
    public void saveEntity(Entity entity){
    xxxFacade.create(entity)
    ManageBean:
    public Class ManageBean
    @EJB
    private ServiceLocal service;
    public void doSave(ActionEvent event)
    service.saveEntity(entity1); //entity.id is set to null, suppose to be generated by DB auto_increment, i.e. insert 3 rows with 3 different ids
    service.saveEntity(entity2);
    service.saveEntity(entity3);
    The result is: Key duplication error on inserting entity2, but entity1 is inserted into DB with id auto increased correctly.
    If I insert only one row each time for test purpose, everything works as expected.
    But what I need is to insert multiple rows. How to do it?
    Thank you in advance.

    Like this (although the @Basic annotation is very much unnecessary). So if it isn't happening you must have made a mistake somewhere. Are you sure the ID column actually has auto_increment?
    Also if you are using Hibernate as the persistence provider and you put it on the classpath, check the packages of the annotations you are using; Hibernate and JPA share some with the same name unfortunately.

  • Error while insert data using execute immediate in dynamic table in oracle

    Error while insert data using execute immediate in dynamic table created in oracle 11g .
    first the dynamic nested table (op_sample) was created using the executed immediate...
    object is
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ASI.sub_mark AS OBJECT (
    mark1 number,
    mark2 number
    t_sub_mark is a class of type sub_mark
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ASI.t_sub_mark is table of sub_mark;
    create table sam1(id number,name varchar2(30));
    nested table is created below:
    begin
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE ' create table '||op_sample||'
    (id number,name varchar2(30),subject_obj t_sub_mark) nested table subject_obj store as nest_tab return as value';
    end;
    now data from sam1 table and object (subject_obj) are inserted into the dynamic table
    declare
    subject_obj t_sub_mark;
    begin
    subject_obj:= t_sub_mark();
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert into op_sample (select id,name,subject_obj from sam1) ';
    end;
    and got the below error:
    ORA-00904: "SUBJECT_OBJ": invalid identifier
    ORA-06512: at line 7
    then when we tried to insert the data into the dynam_table with the subject_marks object as null,we received the following error..
    execute immediate 'insert into '||dynam_table ||'

    ORA-06512: at line 7The problem is that your variable subject_obj is not in scope inside the dynamic SQL you are building. The SQL engine does not know your PL/SQL variable, so it tries to find a column named SUBJECT_OBJ in your SAM1 table.
    If you need to use dynamic SQL for this, then you must bind the variable. Something like this:
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert into op_sample (select id,name,:bind_subject_obj from sam1) ' USING subject_obj;Alternatively you might figure out to use static SQL rather than dynamic SQL (if possible for your project.) In static SQL the PL/SQL engine binds the variables for you automatically.

  • How to insert multiple rows in a single insert statement in MaxDB?

    hi,
    I was looking at syntax but i could not get it right.. may be some could help me.
    // Insert single row works fine
    INSET INTO test_table(column_name) values (value1) IGNORE DUPLICATES
    // Insert multiple rows, doesn't
    INSET INTO test_table(column_name) values (value1), (value2), (value3) IGNORE DUPLICATES
    Can somebody help me with this.
    thanks,
    sudhir.

    Multiple inserts do only work with parametrized statements, usually used in interfaces like JDBC, ODBC etc.
    With static SQL statements it is not possible.
