RFID tag detection failure on Logout and Login to MI Client

Hi,
We have implemented RFID in our MAM3.0 ; application. Every thing is working fine after login to client and could read the data from the tag. But once logout from the client (by clicking on logout from MI client) and login again, I am unable to read the data from the RFID tag. Seems that it is not connecting to the RFID reader. I am getting CAF exception and RFID read exception.
I am using MI2.5 SP 21 Client

I have no SPA502G here, but the SPA504G. Is it the same as far as I know.
It use native HTTP authorization. The login dialog is embedded within browser. You need to use browser's logout function to terminate the session. Or close the browser at all - it will flush all those sessions.
There is no WWW login form, thus there's no WWW logout form as well inside of device's UI.

BOBJ XI 3.1 SP7 SSO logout and login again not working

Hello,
The customer have a deployment of five BOBJ XI 3.1 SP7 with Tomcat 7 servers and AD integration with SSO.
The case is that:
The SSO login works fine on all servers, but when click logout and then go to the address bar and hit enter on the first four servers SSO reacts again, but on the 5th does not. The only way to login again is to close the browser and open it again.
The configuration and the versions of Tomcats is exactly the same. The only difference is in the version of Windows the first four servers are on Windows 2003R2, but the 5th(the last) is on Windows Server 2008R2. I think the problem is somewhere in the application server(the Tomcat), but the server.xml and the web.xml of the InfoViewApp are the same.
The SPNs are:
BOBJCentralMS/hostname serviceaccount
HTTP/hostame serviceaccount
HTTP/FQDN serviceaccount
I'm out of ideas so if somebody can help I'll be happy.

Where in the BOBJ documents is described that the all nodes in the cluster must be on the same OS? I think it does not matters. Only the version of SP and FP must be the same.
Different browsers are not allowed in the customer's newtwork. Only Internet Explorer.
I'll try Kerberos debugger. I forgot about it.

The case is not the same. First the resolution described in SAP Note 1835729 is included in SP7, second here the problem is not on the refresh page(F5), but on click in the address bar and hit "enter". There is difference between the two methods.

XMII Logout and Login

Hi,
I am facing an issue in of the scenario. During my testing I logged out ( User :- USER1 ) of xMII using the hyperlink in xMII home page "Logout" and it take me to login page. Using the same page I am logging as different user (User :-USER2). Display applet methods are returning the same values of USER1.
After searching the xMII documentation I found this issue is well documented in help.sap.com.
My question is - Is there any solution other than closing the browser and relogin in new browser session.

Don't use: document.APPLETNAME.getUserName();
Use this instead: document.APPLETNAME.getPropertyValue("IllumLoginName");
This URL will also confirm who the browser really is after you've logged in as USER1, then logout (Relogin.jsp) and login as USER2 and reconfirm.

Lightroom cc does not start. logout and login in creative cloud does not help. Have a test account, 2 days more to go (and want to decide whether to buy PS & LR CC or to stay with current desktop solutions.)

I installed lightroom cc. But it did not start. Tried the solution, that seemed to help many others (logout, login) but it did not help. Even did logout, restartet pc (win 8.1, 64) and logged in again. tried to log out and log in in the cloud panel and in photoshop cc. nothing helped.
Maybe it has to do with the fact, that i have a test account and only 2 more days to go? but i need to launch lightroom cc first before i can decide to purchase CC.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to find help through a tech support chat session and the person helped me edit my /etc/hosts file and it solved the problem.
For anyone else experiencing this issue (Mac OS X):
Close all other programs and sign out from the Adobe Desktop App
From the Finder, Go > Go to Folder...
Type /etc and hit enter
Find "hosts" file (only "hosts", there were similar files such as hosts.config but only open the one that says "hosts"
Open the file, and replace the entire content with ### Host Database## localhost is used to configure the loopback interface#
Close the file, sign back into the Adobe Desktop App
Problem solved!

Logout and Login to CC does not fix the the Lightroom CC crash on launch issue for me.

Any other fixes? Solutions?

Trial version of Photoshop CC, downloaded after LRCC, works with no issues.

There is not a 64-bit "release" version of Firefox for Windows. There is a 64-bit bleeding edge test version ("Nightly") that I definitely do not recommend for normal daily use.
On the plus side, 64-bit programs can use much more memory. On the minus side, many plugins are not available for 64-bit builds of Firefox.
Some other developers have taken parts of the Firefox code base and created their own 64-bit builds, Waterfox and Pale Moon. I haven't tried those myself.

Logout and login

I am new to Mac's and enjoying them immensely, I have a simple question I can't seem to find the answer for in documentation I have searched. I am running OSX Server 10.58, on my home computer, Mac Pro G5. I use it for my home computing needs and I am using it to serve my website. What I am unsure of is as I live in a rural area and have no way of checking, when I log out as admin and log back in as a standard user does this cause the web server and other server services I have enabled to stop functioning?

Serial Numbers on an RFID Tag

I am new to RFID technology. My question is: Can 1 RFID tag be designed to capture and transmit 5 non-consecutive serial numbers contained in 1 container box?
If you can tell me if this is possible with minimum effort or much effort, please let me know.
Then, if you also know Oracle's e-Business Suite (EBS), let me know if it's possible to have the scanning of such an RFID tag with 5 non-consecutive serial numbers populate the Serial Numbers form in EBS like on a shipping transaction.

The EBS modules would be Inventory and Shipping. We do not use WMS.
Uh, I do not know 'edge'. We do not use RFID currently and our volumes are small.
Here's the business issue, whether the solution is RFID or not: Our company makes lasers for fiber optics. Originally, we just made high-end lasers (low volume, high dollar) that were placed into individual container boxes with a barcode label with its single serial number on the outside. All of these lasers were serialized as finished goods in Oracle. Whenever we ship such a laser, we have someone scan the picked lasers manually with a barcode reader one container box at a time. This has not been an issue, since volumes are small.
But now we sell low-end lasers (higher volume, lower dollar), which often are sold in containers of 5. Each of the 5 small lasers have an individual, non-consecutive serial number. Our business areas want these items serialized in Oracle EBS as well, even though it makes more sense to me to track these items by LOT NUMBERS, not individual SERIAL NUMBERS.
The dilemma is: When we ship, let's say, 1000 of these small lasers by picking 200 multi-pack containers, how do we have the shipping guy scan in the 1000 serial numbers?
One way is to print 5 small individual S/N barcode labels on the multi-pack container, then have the poor guy scan in 1000 S/N's into the Oracle Shipping form from the 200 containers.
That's why I was asking if there could be an easy RFID solution. Perhaps log the 5 S/N's in the multi-pack container onto 1 RFID tag. Then have the guy scan the RFID tag and have it insert the 5 S/N's onto the Shipping S/N form, one S/N at a time with a tab entry to go to the next S/N line. That way, the guy only scans 200 RFID tags. Is this crazy (not possible)?

[Mobile Acc.] VERY slow logout when login on network AND logout off network

Hello,
I'm installing a macmini server (10.6.6) and want to use mobile user account.
I thought everything was fine so I tried to login and logout with my macbook pro (Snow Leopard).
Unfortunately I detected a pb :
- When I login on network and logout on network everything is fine
- When I login off network and logout off network everything is fine
- When I login on network and try to logout off network, the login is fine but the logout needs about 20 minutes!
I found in the console that the macbook is waiting to re-connect the afp share points.
How can I avoid that?

Note that the pb appears only on logout.

RFID Tags and Readers

I would like to know the implementation/development process of RFID Tags and Readers.

Or is there any RFID tag and reader referece platform available to have CDC/CLDC kit with Java RFID software.

I think you will get better answers if you post this to a forum that is for Flash. This one is for Director. Anyway, you can probably not stop it from reading a tag more than once. But you can store the last tag in an array, along with the time it was scanned. Then, before you do anything with this info, you would compare it to that array and if it is the same as the last scan, and the time is less than 3 seconds, then ignore it and don't do anything. If it is different or if it is more than 3 seconds, then do whatever you need to with the tag.

Controlling Login/Logout and Background Sync

Everything setup perfectly and by the book on both Server and Client.
Problem:
Why in God's name has Apple COMBINED the sync rules for both Login/Logout and Background Sync??? It's the most illogical thing and it does not work!!!
Question:
I know how to prevent Background items from Syncing at Login (through the preference manifest), but how to I get the Background sync NOT to sync LOGIN/LOGOUT items.
The problem is always and systematically been mostly with the LIBRARY folder giving all sorts of sync errors. I have tried every possible trick combination but nothing seems to work.
Is this STILL a bug even after a year?? If so, other than skipping the Library folder completely, mobile homes is utterly useless and unreliable. If I skip the Library folder, then mobile homes aren't really complete if a user moves to another machine.
Has anyone found a reliable solution to this mess?

Something is definitely breaking it. Its as if at some random point in time, the sync stops obeying the background rules. I can only conclude that there is still is a bug somewhere that is not fixed.
For example, I initially created the mobile home setting using the computer groups. When that started giving me errors, then I figured, let me try it by doing it via groups. So I created a new group and then, undid the settings for mobile homes that I had set for my computer group.
The first time I logged in, it was working perfectly. Then my laptop's battery died. When I plugged it back, it reconnected to my wireless network and THATS when the bug started showing up again. No matter how many times I restarted, if I have firefox or entourage open, I automatically see that exclamation point in the upper right hand corned (on the mobile homes icon) and its ALWAYS the library files pertaining to those apps that 'are in use'.
This is really frustrating and most non-apple like. This used to work perfectly under Tiger Server, I don't understand how Apple can mess this up THIS BAD and worse, not have a solid fix after a year.
This bug even occurred with a brand new installation of Leopard server on a Xserve and a Mac OS X 10.5.7 station. The instant the mobile user logged on, that exclamation point came on complaining about the entourage files being in use even though that entire folder is set to be SKIPPED during Background Syncing.
Not sure where to look anymore.
And one more thing; as soon as I encounter that exclamation point, the time/date stamp reporting the last sync stops working as well.
Could you provide screenshots of your setup? Could it be that Im missing one tiny detail somewhere? I just dont see where though.

Reboot the computer once.
Sign out from Creative Cloud and Sign in .
Important : Try to launch Lightroom CC apps from Apps tab menu. :

When system start ,I can see gdm. When you enter a user and name password to login the desktop, the screen flash, immediately logout from the desktop,Back to the login interface.

I had a similar issue with HAL on my netbook (Lenovo S10e) running arch i686 kernelversion 2.6.32. When typing as root
$ /etc/rc.d/hal start
it failed.
I then killed the hald process via
$ killall hald
and now it starts fine.
Don't know what caused the problem, has there been a hal update recently?

"A How-To" on the steps to FIX the Problem of NO Sound Card DETECTION with AUDIGY 2 and Win XP

Note#: When restarting the PC each time, shut off the main power switch on the Power Supply then back on.
Note#2: You will need the Windows XP CD WITH the SP2 on it or have the download SP2 Install file from MS on your PC. I have it on CD.
. Remove the sound Card
2. Use the Removal/Un-installation Procedures for the drivers in Knowledge Base Under Windows XP Step by step. Restart to get all the files deleted in the Creative folder if necessary.
Here is the (Solution ID#) for the Uninstallaion found in the Creative.com Knowledge Base: SID72 "How to uninstall Sound Blaster drivers and applications?"
Alternati'vely, Click on the Sound Blaster Picture Box under the Knowledge Base Main Search Page and the article should be in the resulting list.
3. Use the DCProSetup_.exe from http://files.trunetworks.com/utilities/
Use it carefully Selecting [Creative] then Check the box for Muntiple Cleaning Filters, and remove the Creative Audio Drivers by Clicking on Start.
4. Go into the Registry by Typing Regedit in the Start>Run.. Menu
Navigate and remove the Entry for CTCMSGo.exe, it is running in the back ground otherwise and i believe it interrupts the re-installation of MediaSource Files.

The file link/tag, it will be on the right half of the screen, Delete it. CTCMSGo.exe=(Creative Technologies Media Source Go)
5. Restart the PC, dont forget to switch Power Supply to off while powered down and on before powering back up.
6.Go to the Win XP SP2 CD or the file downloaded, select re-install but choose UPDATE, not New Installation. Let the Install run and update your pc, this procedure has no data loss or settings changes in Windows.
7. Restart PC
8. Turn off PC and install the Audigy 2 Card. Then turn on the PC. At this point you might get a plxcore.plx Error of file missing. Not to worry.. copy the file from within the Creative Drivers CD and paste it into the Creative Folder In C:\Program Files\Creative
The Knowledge base Article on the steps is: SID287 "Error: Program could not load because Plxcore.plx cannot be found"
9. Power up and see if you get PCI Device, and Audio Controller Detetion. If you dont then do the following:
A) Remove the Sound Card and Re-install the Win XP SP2 Update a number of times ( I did this about 5 times until detection) Each time restart and install the Sound Card into any of the empty PCI Ports until detection.
If that does not work after a number of times try the following:
B)Power off and switch the PCI slot of the Sound Card (to all the PCI slots if necessary with complete power off each time) Without Re-installing XP SP2 Update.
0. After you get Detection, The Windows Auto Installer for Drivers will pop up..select Find Drivers Automatically, then Install then install the drivers it finds. It will put in some basic Audigy Drivers from the CD or online i'm not sure where it gets them from. Keep your Driver CD in the CD Dri've.
.Restart the PC, then install the Drivers and Media Source Files from the CD (it may not all get installed and may give an error and you have to shut down and re-install the drivers and Media Source over again and over again so it fills in the gap of missing files/drivers until it all works without deleting the previously installed parts).
2. Only install this update from the File/ Downloads Section on the Creative website: EAX4DRV_AUDIGY2__84_50.exe Dated 29 July 04. The new beta one that was released is what started all my troubles, so plz i urge you to wait for it to be official.. unless you really want to test it out at your risk.
And there you have it.. in 8 Hours and some ideas from friends and relati'ves concerning detection problems of other hard ware they have had i decided to play Roulette all night and this combo works. I had to play Roulette switching the PCI slots (5 of them), and then towards the end play Roulette with the Creative Driver CD install... until they all work perfectly. WHEW!!!
Notice: I hope if you are really ticked off at having no sounds and want to try this at your own risk and responsiblity go ahead, and I wish you luck. None of the proedures are too out of the ordinary. I dont know if it will work for you but it worked for me and maybe it will possibly for other similar Sound Cards as well.. like ZS or Li've! etc. with similar problems. Happy Sound Blasting!!!
