Rgarding screen field values passing to program

Dear all, i have searched in SDN and cud not find the answer, i am working on a MB_MIGO_BADI for which i have to design a screen. now i have designed the screen ,and in the  PAI method i have  written the code. but im unable to get the screen field values that i entered in the screen into this method,(in order to concatenate the screen fields)can any one tell me how to declare variables in the method as well as when we create the screen. please give me in detailed steps.
Thanks in advance,
Naren

Hi,
If you go to se18 open the BADi and go to menu path GOTO> SAMPLE CODE you can check out a sample implemenation. You can declare Instance level attributes and use those to transfer data.

  • To transfer Selection Screen field value from a program to another Program

    Hello,
Program Z_ABC having Select Option Field XYZ.
I need to transfer all the values entered on Selection Option Field XYZ  to another Program Dialog Z_DIALOG.

    Hi,
Try to use the function module 'RS_REFRESH_FROM_SELECTOPTIONS'.
    For ex:
    CALL FUNCTION 'RS_REFRESH_FROM_SELECTOPTIONS'
           EXPORTING
                curr_report     = sy-repid
           TABLES
                selection_table = it_soptions
           EXCEPTIONS
                not_found       = 1
                no_report       = 2
                OTHERS          = 3.
      IF sy-subrc <> 0.
        EXIT.
      ENDIF.
    SUBMIT riaufk20 WITH dy_selm = 'D'
                      WITH SELECTION-TABLE it_soptions
                      AND RETURN.
    Hope it solves your issue.

  • How to access screen field value in a module pool programming?

    Hi Experts,
I have create a module pool program SAPMYDLG. It contains two screens 100 and 200.
The first screen contains Employee_ID field. This field is not a dictionary field.
In the second screen 200, I want to access the value of Employee_ID field from first screen.
For this I created a global variable v_empid in TOP include.
Then in the PAI of the screen 100 I have assigned the screen field value to global variable.
       v_empid = Employee_ID.
But this gives an error saying " Field  Employee_ID not defined".
What am I doing wrong? How can I access the screen field value?
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
Employee_ID field also must u define in the top include when u define that 100 screen and 200 screen will access.

  • SCREEN field values

    Dear Sir,
Can any body pls tell me how to pass screen field values generically in dialogue programming...the screen field values like input, output, group...
Can we use the table 'SCREEN' in dialogue programming..?? & how???
    Regards,
    Rushikesh

    Hi Rushikesh,
    What exactly is your requirement....?
You can use the table SCREEN for modifying the screen element attributes at runtime...
Suppose for example , when I click on a button, I want a button to be displayed...It can be done , but only in the PBO event....
Initially , go to the screen attributes and make it invisible...
Now in the program, you can do like this
    1) Declare a global variable (say flag initialized to zero).
    2) In PBO event
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
    IF SCREEN-NAME = 'FIELD1' and FLAG = 1.
    screen-invisible = 0.
    modify screen.
    endif.
    endloop.
    3) In PAI event.
    case sy-ucomm.
    when 'CLICK'.
    flag = 1.
    endcase.
This is one example , you can have any number of situations.

    SP.

  • Module-pool screen field value under POV event

    Hi All,
I have one issue...please suggest me solution for this.
In module-pool program i have one screen(1000) which has one field(hrname_1000).
    Under this event:
    PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
    FIELD hrname_1000  MODULE hrname_1000.
under this module hename_1000 i have used F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST to put a search help for field hrname_1000.
after that i am trying to retrive HR related stuff's based on the field on module-pool i.e i am using hrname_1000 in the where condition.
but problem is that im not getting value for hrname_1000 which im giving in the module-pool screen.
thats y my select query is not working.
Where as im getting values for the hrname_1000 under PBO & PAI.
    It will look like below.
    PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
    FIELD hrname_1000  MODULE hrname_1000.
    (under the above module)
SELECT DISTINCT ename plans FROM pa0001 INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE itab WHERE stell = '50001026'.
LOOP AT itab INTO wa WHERE ename = hrname_1000.
          ENDLOOP.
    Please suggest
    Thanks & regards

In some of the cases the screen field is present in the screen but not holding the value in the required structure or field.
so here u need to check the option of reading the screen field values explictly..
//once u hit an enter and do the f4 i think the value will be there ...but if u dont hit enter and do an F4 the value cannot hold and i think u r in this case ..
1.Fill the screen field name in the structure dynpread.
DATA: BEGIN OF DYNP_VALUES OCCURS 10.
            INCLUDE STRUCTURE DYNPREAD.
    DATA: END   OF DYNP_VALUES.
    DYNP_VALUES-FIELDNAME = 'HRNAME_1000'.
      APPEND DYNP_VALUES.
    * read screen values
      CALL FUNCTION 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'
        EXPORTING
DYNAME     = HELP_REPID  "call the repid of ur prog
DYNUMB     = HELP_DYNNR "pass the screen number
        TABLES
          DYNPFIELDS = DYNP_VALUES
        EXCEPTIONS
          OTHERS     = 1.
now dynp_values hold the field name and field value of the screen .
    now
    SORT DYNP_VALUES BY FIELDNAME.
READ TABLE DYNP_VALUES WITH KEY 'HRNAME_1000' BINARY SEARCH.
        IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
          HELP_XXXX = DYNP_VALUES-FIELDVALUE. "store the value into a variable
          TRANSLATE HELP_XXXX TO UPPER CASE.
        ENDIF.
Now check the code with the value if its getting populated which once there will make ur select work ..
    Vijay..

  • Getting screen field values during runtime

    Hi everyone,
In debugger for dynamically getting the screen field values we will be using  (SAPLMGMW)CALP-ENDPA this format to get the value of the field CALP-ENDPA.
But this will give only for fields. My question is that how to get the screen field labels values in debugger.
Take a look at following picture.

    Hi,
Try putting a watch point on the screen field name and see where it is changing.
If your need is before that it won't be possible to get it as it is a processed value.
Also if it is updating on screen but still you are not getting that means the value is not transported from the Screen to the program in that case use the FM DYNP_VALUES_READ to get the values the documentation has the usage else there are lot of blogs just search it.

  • Read the buffer in screen fields of the report program.

    Hi all,
I have 2 screen fields in a report program. I need to do some process based on the entry in the 1 st field.
But i need press 'enter' after making an entry in the 1st field. I want to read the field dynamically. I was able to find a function module to do it 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'. In this one of the import attribute is the dyname. I give the field name of the 1st field as per its defined in the selection parameter of th report program. And when exectued the function module returns invalid dyprofield.
kindly advise on what should be the dyproname for selection parameter.
    Thanks And Regards

    hi ravi,
just execute the code and try to know where u r getting error in ur code .
in this just give the input as USD(us dollar)
substitute for dynname = sy-cprog in ur code and check that .
hope this helps u out .

    Thanks,
    Ujjwal

    Hi Ujjwal
The reason behind this is that you are using AT NEW.... ENDAT block in your coding.
When you use AT NEW field statements, the fields in the work area after the field get converted into ********.
Check values in your work area I_RECORD in debugging inside AT NEW statement and you will understand what I am saying.
In your case all the fields from header line of I_RECORDS which come after field CLASS are getting converted into *******,
    hence the error.
Try using a temporary work area, say w_record. Pass value of I_record to w_record before AT NEW statement.
And use w_record-fields instead of I_record-fields. And your program should work.

  • F4 help for the screen fields in module pool program

    Hi All,
I have a requirement that, i want to provide F4 help for the 2 fields in module pool program. the fields are document number and fiscal year from rbkp table.
i could provide search help for two fields.
but how to select matching fiscal year for that document number.
problem: i am getting fiscal year as first four digits of document number.
please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi,
If your requirement is after selecting the document no from f4 help then the corresponding year should be updated in the document year field then use FM --> DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE
In  this function module pass the screen no program & field for which u want to update value

  • Import screen field value into search help assigned to a different field

    Hi,
I have created an elementary search help based on a custom DDIC table ZSH_SHHLDR. Dialog Type: Dialog depends on set of values, search help parameters:
Parameter                       Import     Export   LPos SPos  SDis
    FOLIO                                X                       1       1         X
    CERTN                                             X         2       2
where FOLIO and CERTN are fields in my table.
There are two fields in my program defined as like FOLIO and CERTN respectively. These fields are screen fields in a custom dynpro created using Screen Painter. The search help is assigned to the CERTN field. In the screen, I want that the contents of the FOLIO field should be imported into the search help, i.e. on the screen:
    FOLIO: 21353
    CERTN: <F4>
When I click on F4 help for CERTN, I want that the FOLIO parameter in the search help should contain the value for FOLIO that I entered in the text box on the screen. Is there a way to do this, through an exit for instance? Help is appreciated, thanks.

    Hi,
You need to use the below statement.
    process on value-request.
    field zcom_doa_users-zzjob_role module sub_tes_module.
Here I declared three fields in the screen fields from structure zcom_doa_users. Try to name the fields with table name-field name. So inside the module in structure zcom_doa_users you will get given value for the other fields also.
Now you can do your own processing for f4 help.
    Thanks

  • Screen-field value not visible

    Hi All ,
I have added couple of fields to the standard transaction .Used  a badi to achieve that. Now am able to send the values from one of the methods in the same badi to the custom field and a standard table is getting updated (which was created with append structure ).But am not able to see that value in the custom field after saving .
How come this is possible as the DB is getting updated .
Is there anything to be done in the module pool program or how ??
    Regards ,
    Hemanth Nugur .

hi .Am using this badi to add custom fields in trading contract(WB22) .WB2_ADDITIONAL_DATA.
Everything is working fine except am not able to see the value passed onto the field .I am passing the value from the method CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE .

  • Screen field value under POV event

    Hi All,
I have one issue...please suggest me solution for this.
    Ansumesh

    Hi,
I guess you don't get back value from function F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST to your global data object hrname_1000, althought it is returned from search help back to screen field.
See this thread. I explained there [how values are returned from screen field to a variable|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/profile?userid=3509696]
You may also try with FM DYNP_VALUES_READ for reading dynpro fields values in POV.

  • How to change screen field value.

    Hi Experts,
I like to change the screen field MSAUS(check box) of program SAPLIQS0 in one of the exit. But if I use
(SAPLIQS0)VIQMEL-MSAUS = 'X'. its showing compile error. Please tell me how can i change this field in this exit.
    Regards,
    Ajish.

    try something like this:
    create field symbol
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs>.
Assign value of variable from calling prog to field symbol
      ASSIGN ('(SAPLIQS0)VIQMEL-MSAUS' ) TO <fs>.
    <fs> = 'X'.
