RH10 suddenly won't let me add/import new images into my project

I have tried accessing the "Insert Image" option using the various methods (menu, toolbar icon, right click menu), but once the dialog box is open, I click on the browse folder to find the image that I added via Explorer, but nothing happens and the app freezes. The only thing I am able to do is close RH via the Task Manager. I have tried rebooting and also tried doing this in multiple projects to make sure it's not my main project with the problem. This same thing happens every time.
I CAN add an image that has already been imported into the project... I tried doing that then using Image Properties to bring in the newly created image... same result... freezes the app. My project is only about 50MB in size... and I probably only have 2 or 3 dozen images in it so far.
I am hoping you are not going to say uninstall and re-install because I don't have the disc with me today... working from home.
Help please.

TOTAL weirdness... so I just got into work... turned on my laptop... so i'm not working remotely... opened my project... at first i got this error:
then i continued to get a series of errors of various kinds.. finally one telling me the cpd file was corrupt... now mind you... I had to restart RH several times yesterday... also did a reboot... and didn't get any of these errors...I also tried to import an image into an older project to see if it was the project or RH.. but i had the same problem with the other project - no.. didn't try a NEW project as I was planning at your suggestion because it's working in my existing project now.
so i deleted the cpd... opened the project.. and tried to import a new image.. and BAM.. it worked like always! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?
I don't understand what the problem could have been if this wasn't working even without VPN...
Thoughts? I'd like to avoid this issue next time I'm working from home.. which will be next week!

Mail won't let me add a new email account

I have 4 email accounts in Mail and for some reason it will not let me add another new account. I have tried file>add new account and also the + sign within preferences>accounts. Any ideas what may be the problem?

I'm having exactly the same problem, but this wasn't the case the last time I added an account a few months ago - might this be as a result of a recent update?

ICloud won't let me add my new iCloud e-mail to my old .me account as an alias?

I have recently created a new iCloud account as I have changed my maiden name. I have an old .me account which I am trying to add the new iCloud address to as an alias, so I keep getting my old e-mails but through the newly named iCloud account.
When I go to add the new iCloud account as an alias to the .me account in the preferences in iCloud it says 'this alias is not available' but it obviously is because i am using it to sign in to my new account and post this message? Screenshots attached to help.
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or could be going wrong? I think it might be confused with accounts but can't be sure!

I'm afraid you can't do this. You are in effect trying to place one Apple ID within another Apple ID. Once iCloud address has been created using one Apple ID and iCloud account it can't be moved in any way to another iCloud account.
What you can do is to set up forwarding from the new iCloud account to the old one. Go to http://www.icloud.com , go to the Mail page, click the cogwheel icon at bottom left, and in the General tab of the pane which opens use the 'Forwarding' section to forward your messages on.
Note however that you probably won't be able to use the new account's address as the 'From' address when sending from the old one - I'm not sure about that: you certainly can't do that with a non-Apple address but the question of doing it in your situation doesn't normally arise, so you will have to experiment.

Pages 5.0 won't let me add a new page to a 13 page document.

Since updating to Pages 5.0, I have not been able to add anymore pages to a 13 page document I am working on for an art project. The document uses original photographs as a background and a text box over them for the text. In the "Insert" drop down box in the tool bar, everything is grayed out. The program will also not let me copy and paste any of the previous pages so I can't even add a new page that way. I've also just looked to see if there were any restrictions on the file on the "Get Info" menu from the Finder, it still had the file as anyone can read and write to the file, so it can't be that either. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, and if so, how they managed to work around it?

Sorry to be "that guy", but i've done that without an issue, I can now add pages by copying previous ones, but now Pages 4.3 groups a new page which is blank, with page 13. It also adds a the copy of the last page below the two that get grouped together. So basically, I end up with 2 copys of page 13, and the original.

Reminders won't let me add a new list

Yesterday, most of my contacts were wiped from my phone. Luckily, I had all these contacts saved on my Mac through iCloud, so i sent them to myself (my phone) and then saved to my contacts on my phone. Today, I realized that it also wiped my notes and reminders from my phone, but not on my Mac. I'm clicking "New List +" on my phone, I am clicking the plus button to add a new list, but nothing is happening. I tried turning my phone off and on, I cleared everything from my background apps, I went to settings>iCloud, and then I turned Reminders off and then on to see if that would help, but nothing worked. I deleted all the lists I could from my Mac and then added one to see if it would show up on my phone, but nothing happened. I'm not sure what to do, so someone please help me. Thank you!

Launch iTunes on your PC.
From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset warnings and Reset cache then click OK.

Importing additional images into a project

i have four folders in my 'pictures' folder in finder which i have imported into aperture as projects. from time to time i will add images to these folders, and would like the projects in aperture to update accordingly. the only method i can think of for doing this is to reimport the folder into the project, but then i get duplicate images for all of the images that i have previously imported into the project. is there a way of not importing duplicates, or of linking the project to the folder so that the projects can be kept in sync with the folders? this isn't an issue for importing photos from my camera as i can specify the project and the folder the images are to go in. but i also need to import other images from my local drive, and can't find a way to do this.

Could you not import from smart folders located within your main folders that separated images according to date created thereby preventing the import of duplicates?

Can't import still images into a project or create a podcast track

I'd be grateful if anyone can explain why I can't import still images onto a track like you can easily do in garage band - in garage band you simply create a podcast track, then drag your photos onto it. However in logic, when I open the media browser i can get a photo folder up but it will not allow me to even look at the contents.
Also, why is it that the manual for logic express has nothing about how to import a movie to produce a movie score - and yet garage band can even do this.

Have you tried "Working with Video" section of the manual? It's somewhere close to the end...
Logic works with audio, not images. That's why you can't import a photo, because media browser is used to locate audio files, mostly. And sometimes video.
I guess it works this way, you create a podcast with Logic, bounce it to mp3 or another compressed format. Then import it into GB and insert a photo.

I would say that you are not connected to the iTunes library you last synced with. You can only sync with one iTunes library. If you connect the iPod to another computer/another iTunes library then you get what you see.
You can only manually manage music and videos among different libraries, not apps.

After syncing and updating my iphone my iCalendar on my computer lost most of my information. Including wiping out an entire calendar group. When trying to readd the calendar group it won't let me add events to my calendar under that category.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

If so, it is to do with the limiting of input sources to your default device in Firefox 25.0.1. Are you using OSX, and do you have multiple keyboard layouts in your language toolbar drop down?

Just downloaded 10.7 and it won't let me add videos to iTunes.

Why won't iChat let me add a new account?

I recently deleted my iChat account and I do not want to use Bonjour List. I am on the administer account and there are no other accounts created on my computer. Parental controls are also not on. Why won'y iChat let me add a new account, I am trying to add my AIM account. If you could please help me.
